I’ll be focusing on my core and GPP plays for NBA DFS for each position along with my favorite value plays. We’ve come to the point at 11/1 DFS where we know most of the NBA teams and which defense to target. It is vital to NOT play NBA DFS if you cannot keep track until the final tip. The last hour before lock is the most important
We mentioned this in our Premium Slack Channel yesterday, but with NBA DFS, you need to stay locked in between the final hour before lock until tipoff. If you can’t be engaged during that hour, we recommend avoiding the NBA slate. Starting lineups and other news is vital to being successful in NBA DFS.
MyCore and Value Plays by Position:
- Core Plays – PG – 11/1 DFS
- Malcolm Brogdon, PG, IND – FD: $9,200 ; DK – $8,800
- Brogdon’s price keeps creeping higher and higher, but until he starts to cool down, we need to ride the hot streak. Playing against a terrible Cavs team, I expect him to go off for 50+ once again. I hope that people are scared off the price tag and don’t go his route, but with Myles Turner out for the foreseeable future, Brogdon’s usage goes up.
- Value Play – Derrick White, PG, SA, FD : $5,400; DK – $5,200
- Dejounte Murray will be out so Derrick White is most likely starting. Lock him in against a pathetic Golden State team. I never thought I’d hear myself ever say Golden State is pathetic!
- Malcolm Brogdon, PG, IND – FD: $9,200 ; DK – $8,800
- Core Plays – SG- 11/1 DFS
- D’Angelo Russell, SG, FD : $9,400; DK – $8,900
- I don’t like the price tag at all as they bumped it up with Curry out, but someone needs to score. With the Spurs on a second night of a back to back, I expect some Spurs to be rested and this game to not be a blowout. As of right now, I’ll lock in Russell.
- Value Play – Damion Lee, SG, FD : $3,600; DK – $
- I believe he will get the start with Curry and if he’s out, lock him in without any hesitation. The problem is this is the latest game on the slate and we may not know until after lock.
- D’Angelo Russell, SG, FD : $9,400; DK – $8,900
- Core Plays – SF- 11/1 DFS
- LeBron James, SF, BKN – FD : $10,800; DK – $9,900
- Giannis Antetokounmpo, SF, MIL – FD: $11,600; DK – $10,900
- This might be my big spend of night. I believe you need to look into paying for Giannis or LeBron on this slate since SF is one of the weaker positions. We have some value elsewhere, but I don’t trust it as much at the SF position. This is the go to spend up spot.
- Value Play – Rudy Gay, SG, FD : $4,600; DK – $4,700
- He’s getting the minutes and coming into the second night of a back to back, this price tag seems too low. He might be rested tonight, but he’s coming in at incredible value.
- Core Plays – PF- 11/1 DFS
- LaMarcus Aldridge, PF, SA – FD: $8,500; DK – $7,100
- Draymond Green, PF, GS – FD: $8,000; DK – $7,700
- Domantas Sabonis, PF, IND – FD : $8.800; DK – $8,700
- Aldridge is on the second night of a back to back and going against the lowly Warriors. Given they allow what feels like 200 points a night, I think Aldridge is in a smash spot to go big. It’s doubtful, but be on the lookout that he’s sitting tonight. If you don’t go Aldridge, I’m okay with going Draymond if you don’t go D’Angelo Russell. You can make a case for both, but I just wouldn’t. As for Sabonis, no Turner means more usage so lock him up if you need another option.
- Value Play – Daniel Theis, PF, BOS – FD : $3,900; DK – $4,000
- Theis seems to be the main big man on campus for the Celtics and he came through his last game. It seems like his ankle is still bothering him, but he’s probably against a bad Knicks team. Let’s hope he starts.
- Core Plays – C- 11/1 DFS
- Andre Drummond, C, DET – FD : $10,100; DK – $9,500
- I’m all in on Drummond. He plays a team in Chicago that cant defend the big man and Griffin is still out. Go Drummond!
- Value Play – Goga Bitadze, C, IND – FD : $3,500; DK – $3,300
- With the injury to Myles Turner, let’s all welcome Goga to the value piece of our slate today. At the minimum, he should be worth a consideration given he will see more minutes. It may be safe to avoid him for one game to see how many minutes he gets, but we may not see a price like this ever again for him. When Turner went down, he didn’t play much so it’s risky, especially if Sabonis goes to C and they move someone else to the starting lineup. Let’s wait and see.
- Andre Drummond, C, DET – FD : $10,100; DK – $9,500
