My NBA DFS core plays are the basis of your teams for cash and GPP. For a cash lineup, you will fill out your roster with other starters and players with safe minutes. For tournaments, you will use 1 or 2 leverage plays mixed in with other cash style players. Good luck!
NBA DFS Core:
Kelly Oubre (7,200) FD
With Rubio out, Oubre gets a nice bump that his price tag on Fanduel doesn’t account for. 8,000 on Draftkingsis too pricey for me, but lock him in where there are price discrepancies.
Booker at 8,200 without Rubio in a matchup with Atlanta is too good to pass up on. Booker has 50+ fantasy points in 5 of his last 8 games.
Dario Saric (3,700)
Saric has seen 20+ minutes in back to back games and this spot against Atlanta’s depleted front-court is the time to use him.
Patrick Beverly (5,300)
Cleveland bleeds fantasy points to guards, making Shamet an attractive value play as well. Beverly showed a 40 point ceiling 2 games ago, and with George out could get there again tonight.
P.J. Tucker (3,700)
Tucker is dirt cheap, in the best game environment of the night. It’s going to be popular to stack him with Harden but I prefer Luka if spending up.
Fades:
With Trae Young out, John Collins becomes an attractive option. Except he doesn’t. Collins gets a big usage bump by 8.2% but loses -.34 fantasy points per minute with Atlanta’s current inactives. The better options from Atlanta are Goodwin, Huerter and maybe Vince Carter as a punt.

Pivot – Chalk
Luka Doncic (12,400) – James Harden (13,000)
Julius Randle (7,500) – Clint Capela (7,800)
Kyrie Irving (8,600) – De’Angelo Russell (7,900)
DeAndre Ayton (7,800) – John Collins (8,300)
Slate Thoughts:
Houston is the chalk of the night. With Westbrook out and the value’s very cheap it will be popular to stack Harden with 2-3 of these guys. To be contrarian you will either need to fade Harden or fade the Houston value. I prefer to play a balanced build using the core values that I mapped out. Those 4 players give you just over 7k a player to fill out with underpriced stars such as Irving, Booker, and Randle. If paying up, I’m looking to Luka Doncic who shares Harden’s ceiling at a fraction of the ownership.
