8/21 NHL Game Plan
A number of series have already wrapped up and we are down to a two game slate featuring a pair of elimination games. Philadelphia botched an attempt to finish off their series the other night and will start things off at 7pm ET. Meanwhile, the Canucks were able to break the deadlock in their series and will look to complete the upset of the defending champion Blues.
The Breakdown
The offense in the Montreal/Philadelphia game is a bit more scattered and as a result, difficult to predict. Furthermore, despite a bad showing last game Carter Hart previously had back to back shutout wins. On the other side, Carey Price has been a stud as well.
Jakub Markstrom has been fairly strong in his own right and makes sense as a tournament goaltender as St. Louis should bring the house against him facing elimination. Meanwhile, Jake Allen slipped and if he falters early in Game Six, we might see Jordan Binnington. The top Vancouver line should be very popular with Horvat/Pearson a sneaky alternate duo. Be sure to watch the lines before the game kicks off, as last game Jake Virtanen replaced Brock Boeser on the top line for a bit.

NHL MKF Picks
More/Less
Quinn Hughes – More – 0.5 Assists
Alex Pietrangelo – More – 4.5 Shots on Goal plus Blocked Shots
This series has two teams capable of some decent offense and thus, assuming that the open play continues, I like the over on both of these prop bets. Alex Pietrangelo’s side is definitely the stronger of the two, so if you want to take the under on Hughes, think it’s a bit closer.
