What’s up ladies and gentlemen? Now that we’re done with that crazy Thursday slate we get to dive head long into what seems like an even wilder scenario with what looks like a lock button defense against a team with no quarterbacks and a lot of high priced studs in smash spots. If you’re going to have any shot at fitting your Patrick Mahomes and Dalvin Cooks of the world into your lineups you need to find some cheap value guys to offset that salary. Speaking of value, your chance to snag 50% off everything at Win Daily Sports is running out. You won’t see another sale like this come around for a long time so whether you want to grab a gold membership or some Win Daily swag now is the time to do it. While I know most everyone is going to push the lock button on the Saints defense and for good reason. It’s not hard to see a scenario where there are and obscene number of sacks out of the wildcat or even a pick six or two. But I do think that there is something to consider with have a line or two that are unorthodox in terms of negative correlation in your large field GPP’s. Play that at your own risk though. It’s a slim margin to victory.
Typically I define “value plays” as players that fall within $1,000 dollars of minimum price for their given position. If may vary by one or two hundred week to week but most will fall in that range.
1. Gabriel Davis WR Bills: $3,000(DK)/$4,800(FD)
Not sure how obvious it is to the rest of the DFS community but Gabriel Davis is dead minimum on DraftKings and not much more on FanDuel. With no John Brown and a 52.5 point total Gabriel is a smart play for those for you who are paying up for Dalvin. He’s nothing special from a talent perspective but he should be looking at around 4-6 targets and when he’s been given that target share this season he’s done no worse that 10.8 points on DraftKings. If you’re telling me I can get a 3.5x floor from a guy who costs nearly nothing to roster it’s a given I’ll have him in a number of my lineups.
2. Brian Hill RB Falcons: $4,000(DK)/$5,100(FD)
I feel a little uneasy about trotting Brian Hill out there just because of Atlanta’s poor play this season and a limited or out Julio Jones doesn’t help matters much but he’s min price, presumably getting the “workhorse” roll, against a bottom half rushing defense in the Raiders, and he has proven that he can receive out of the backfield making him a solid option by most measures. I’m not going too crazy with him because the Falcons have managed to let us down in every imaginable way this season but I’ll be a little over the field on him. He’s currently projected around 9% ownership.
3. Denzel Mims WR Jets: $3,500(DK)/$5,600(FD):
I know I’m recommending a Jet and for that I apologize but he fits the mold of what a “value play” is and he makes a lot of sense. Mims has gotten at least 7 targets in three of his four games this season, he is getting 95% snap share, he’s bigger and faster than any of the DB’s on the Dolphins, and he is lined up all over the field to exploit matchups. I know he has trash cans throwing him the ball but the guy is a physically gifted freak who can beat anyone. I think the human bobble head doll Sam Darnold is going to get it to him enough to pay off and this game ends up being a sneaky shootout”ish” kind of game.
Also Consider: Keelan Cole, Leviska Shenault, Jordan Reed (only reason Cole and Shenault aren’t in the main article is because of Mike Glennon. Maybe he can get it to him. Maybe.
