Fanduel CBB Plays 11/30/20

In my debut article for CBB I will be focusing on three players from each position listed on Fanduel (Guards/Forwards). I will write up one expensive player, one mid tier and a value play at each position to help you build your CBB lineups. I also want to note if I don’t include a player in my article that doesn’t mean I don’t like that player or I am fading necessarily. The slate on Fanduel consists of 4 games. So here are my Fanduel CBB Plays 11/30/20.

  • North Carolina @ UNLV // Line -12.5 North Carolina 151.5 O/U
  • Boston College @ St. John’s // Line -0.5 St. John’s 147 O/U
  • Auburn @ Central Florida // Line -1 Central Florida 142 O/U
  • Stanford @ Alabama // Line -2.5 Alabama 150.5 O/U

Guards:

Expensive Tier:

Caleb Love, G, North Carolina ($6,900)

Love is the top recruit in the 2020 UNC class. He was a 5 star recruit and ranked the 14th best recruit. The talented freshmen got the start for UNC in his first game against the College of Charleston last week. He looked impressive leading the team with a 26.4% usage rate. He added 17 points, 1 rebound, 4 assists and 2 steals in his first collegiate game. Look for him to continue to improve. This game vs UNLV also has the highest O/U on the slate and North Carolina has the highest implied team total. So we want some Tar Heels tonight.

Mid Tier:

Wynston Tabbs, G, Boston College ($5,700)

I am listing Tabbs as my mid tier guard tonight over possibly a popular Jay Heath who is coming off a foot injury which sidelined him the last game vs Rhode Island. Tabbs is $300 cheaper on Fanduel and has a massive 34.4% usage rate which leads the team by a wide margin. Comparing that to Heath’s 22.8% usage rate. I will take the cheaper player who has more usage. He is averaging 28 MPG, 13.5 PPG and 5.5 RPG in Boston Colleges first two games of the season.

Value Tier:

Darius Perry, G, Central Florida ($5,300)

Perry is a grad transfer from Louisville where he was a started in the 2019 season averaging 5.2 points, 2.5 assists. We don’t have any data to go off since this will be Central Florida’s first game or starting lineups. But, I would guess that Perry is a starting guard and he is cheap in which should be a tight game with Auburn.

Forwards:

Expensive Tier:

Oscar da Silva, F, Stanford ($7,200)

The Stanford/Alabama game has a 150.5 O/U and only a -2.5 spread. Alabama plays at one of the fastest paces in the country so getting some Stanford guys in your lineup starting with da Silva is a good idea. He was a stable in the offense last year with Tyrell Terry who went off to the NBA. So the production for da Silva should be there once again this year.

Mid Tier:

Armando Bacot, F, North Carolina ($6,600)

Bacot isn’t much of a mid tier play but he is $1,500 cheaper than his teammate Garrison Brooks. Obviously getting to Brooks would be ideal but if you need some savings dropping down to Bacot is the move. Bacot played 22 minutes in North Carolina’s opener vs College of Charleston and had 12 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks.

Value Tier:

Ziaire Williams, F, Stanford ($4,700)

Williams was the top recruit in the 2020 class for Stanford a 5 star who was ranked 6th best in the country. Also Stanford’s top rated recruit in program history. I really think Fanduel dropped the ball on his price as he is $7,500 on DraftKings. He should be about 100% owned on Fanduel with the price. His first collegiate game should be a good one facing a fast pace Alabama team.

JT Thor, F, Auburn ($4,100)

An extra value play at the forward position is Thor who was Auburn’s 2nd best recruit in the 2020 class and was a top 50 prospect. He has started the first two games for Auburn. But, only playing in 15, 16 minutes in those two games. The issue and risk here is him getting into foul trouble early which has limited his minutes. He leads the team in usage though with a 30.4% usage rate. So if he can stay out of foul trouble he should see more minutes and fantasy production.
