6/29 LPL League of Legends Breakdown
Welcome to my 6/29 LPL League of Legends Breakdown where I am looking to give an edge on our two-game slate for tonight. Last night I got saved by hedging with the V5/RW matchup and I hope some of you followed in that. Tonight we are going to have another two-game slate including EDG/UP followed by LGD/IG. Let us dig into these matches for tonight to try and find an edge.
EDG vs UP
In the first match of the night, we have one of the best in the world against one of the worst in the world as the simplest way to put it. UP has shown to be better this split with the addition of Smlz in the bot lane to pair with ShiauC. This has assisted the bot lane but the holes around the rest of the roster have continued to shine through. EDG on the other hand has delivered once again as one of the best teams in the LPL currently holding the top overall record in the league. EDG holds the heavy advantage here team-wise and in every lane.
Looking into stats EDG holds an advantage in the early, mid, and late games. EDG has some of the best players in the world collectively in all lanes. Though all of this would usually mean that you should send out four EDG players, I think that wouldn’t be the best idea for tonight as I believe that they will just use this game to macro play UP and win through towers and gold leads instead of kills. I don’t believe that EDG will be looking to go kill-heavy here. I am looking to take my mini stacks here from EDG.
IG vs LGD
The last match that we have on the day and the closer of the two. This is where I am looking to take my four stacks from with either side as I believe the winner of this match is going to have the highest kill total on the day. According to the odds, this is also going to be the closer of the two and I can see this going to three games on the day. My initial lean is towards LGD here as they have been a big surprise on this split and they match up well with IG here giving them the advantage here. Shadow in the jungle would be the main difference-maker in his matchup with Xun.
Looking into the stats here it is going to be a pretty even matchup. Personally me lean is going to be towards LGD but I am probably going to look to be hedging here tonight with my lines. For a SE look, I would look to move towards playing four LGD with three EDG but if your looking to play three lines two of them for me will have LGD and one with IG to complete the hedge on the day. Look for LGD to win here in a very close, high-scoring 2-1 matchup.
Summary
EDG 2-0 and LGD 2-1. I would not entirely be against playing a four stack of EDG as UP enjoys fighting when they are losing but my definitive lean tonight is going to be towards the side of the LGD/IG match. Thank you for reading my 6/29 LPL League of Legends Breakdown today and I am excited to see the green in the morning from the slate.
