Another successful week in the books, and we are expecting more high scoring games this week. It’s going to be crucial to get it right this week. I’m the guy to help you break down your Wide Receiver decisions for your daily fantasy lineups. If you don’t know how I typically play the game, I really like to build my lineups based on ownership. Sometimes we don’t have a clear picture of what that looks like until game day, so keep that in mind. With that being said, sorry my article will be later than the rest, as I do like to wait and see what the field is doing. This is how we can stay with the pack, in cash games, and pivot to those high upside players in GPP style contests. Don’t forget to look at the bottom of this article for other players I really like as well. Let’s dive into NFL DFS Wide Receivers for this week’s main slate.
AMON-RA ST. BROWN, DET $7,200 DRAFTKINGS $7,800 FANDUEL
This is where I want you to start building this week in all formats. Just go ahead and hit the lock button right now, and here is why. St. Brown has earned double-digit targets in his last eight games. In 2021, only nine players earned double-digit targets in eight or more games. Over that 8 game stretch there is only one player that he compares to, and that guys name is Cooper Kupp. LFG!!!
STEFON DIGGS, BUF $7,700 DRAFTKINGS $8,300 FANDUEL
Stefon Diggs only topped 24+ fantasy points just once in 19 games last season, but he’s already topped that in each of his first two game. Last week he destroyed the titans putting up 12/148/3. He’s also already matched his 100-yard games from all of 2021 with his 2022 performances already. Diggs combined for 9/100/2 receiving in two matchups with Miami last season. Miami has given up the 2nd-most FPG to opposing QBs already this season. He will be pulling ownership this week, as why shouldn’t he be. Lock him in.
COOPER KUPP, LAR $9,900 DRAFTKINGS $9,800 FANDUEL
I don’t need to talk much about Cooper Kupp, other than he’s on pace to do what he did last year. How does that sound to you? He’s the favorite target, in what looks to be another great matchup, However, the only thing here is you have to Pay The Price. He’s way to expensive for what looks like a nice lineup construction this week. You’ll have to pay down at QB this week if you want a good line build with Kupp in it. He’s such a beast. I have to list him.
BRANDIN COOKS, HOU $5,800 DRAFTKINGS $6,600 FANDUEL
I mean will this be the week I get the Cooks call correct…??? Man it sure sets up that way for sure. I am sometimes early on calls, and just maybe he gets it done this week. Cooks has seen 10 or more targets in five of his last 6 games with Davis Mills under center and has a great shot to hit a ceiling score this week with all of that volume coming his way. Cooks is a high-upside WR2 for Week 3.
ADAM THIELEN, MIN $5,900 DRAFTKINGS $6,000 FANDUEL
In a game where everything is looking for some serious scoring, this is the week we see Adam Thielen. In a bounce back game for JJ, of course there will be some ownership headed that way. This will become a great leverage spot off of JJ, and a cheap way to get a piece of this game.
CURTIS SAMUEL, WAS $5,500 DRAFTKINGS $6,300 FANDUEL
Samuel through 2 games has pulled 80% of the snap share, and among WRs, Curtis Samuel has seen the 2nd-most designed touches. He’s also accounted for 43% of all targets to Washington WRs, averaging 21.0 FPG during that stretch. He is cheap enough this week to be a good flex or WR3 this week for your lineup constructions.
Honorable Mention: Jefferson, Adams, Hill, Pittman, Higgins, AJ Brown, JuJu, Waddle
Value Plays: Landon, Agholor, Collins, Dotson, Bateman, Miller
