West Ham (+475) at Arsenal (-195) – Under 3 Goals -120
Arsenal looks like they are shaping up to be chalk of the slate, at least at the forward position. On DraftKings, Nicolas Pepe will likely be the most popular cash forward due to his role on set pieces with leading goal scorer Pierre Emerick Aubameyang popular in GPPS. On FanDuel, I would reverse that order with Aubameyang the most popular in both formats. We will have to see who else starts but if it is youngster Eddie Nkeitah, he comes in at a bargain price on DraftKings to fill a forward spot and is a fine enough tournament play on FanDuel. If it is Alexandre Lacazette, he comes in at a cheap $7,000 on DraftKings.
Brighton (+425) at Wolves (-165) – Under 2.5 Goals -120
Arsenal should be more popular than Wolves so they represent the high end tournament pivot. I would focus on their main man Raul Jimenez, the red hot Diego Jota and playmaker Joao Moutinho, who handles the set pieces. I think Matt Doherty’s price is insane on both sites after two games which seem like an anomaly, so I will take a hard pass on that. You can pick off a piece or stack them up in a GPP.
Norwich City (+450) at Sheffield United (-160) – Under 2.5 Goals -125
On the Norwich side, Ondrej Duda has usurped set piece duties from Emiliano Buendia, who might not even play anyway. At $6,200 on DraftKings he is underpriced for that role, even against a very tough defensive side like Sheffield United. On the Sheffield side, Billy Sharp makes for a very cheap Draftkings punt but I prefer finding a little more for Oliver McBurnie if going that route. John Fleck is in play on both sites. Sheffield isn’t known for their offense and is hard to trust even in the best of the matchups, but this one is as good as it gets, at home against lowly Norwich.
Tottenham (+165) at Burnley (+160) – Under 2.5 Goals -125 – FANDUEL ONLY
This game will likely get low ownership on the 3/7 EPL slate as Tottenham is very hard to trust lately and this is a late game where they’ll be on the road. I don’t think it’s the worst idea though in a large field tournament like the $4.44 on Fanduel if you wanted to stack them or grab a piece or two. It would be Steven Bergwijn, Delle Alli, Lucas Moura, and Giovani Lo Celso if looking at options. As for Burnley, they would definitely only be a large field tournament play, but they have been better at home this season, as the near even odds would reflect.
Newcastle (+450) at Southampton (-155) – Over 2.5 Goals -120
On the Southampton side, James Ward Prowse is a strong play on both sides. He has lined up at right back recently but it hasn’t affected his value too much. If he lines up in the midfield though hell resume all of the set pieces, instead of sharing with Ryan Bertrand so he doesn’t have to cross the field, when playing as a right back. That would only be a slight downgrade to Betrand.
As far as the forwards go, I like Danny Ings price and skillset better on Fanduel. Shane Long is only if you’re trying to be contrarian. On the Newcastle side, there are a few cheap defensemen in play for FanDuel and on DraftKings, it’s Matt Ritchie. Ritchie’s value takes a hit after a very strong game if Valentino Lazaro is back in but should still be a solid option. Lazaro himself would also be worth a shot and makes for an intriguing tournament punt on FanDuel.
Watford (+180) at Crystal Palace (+140) – Under 2.5 Goals – 145
This game should get low ownership aside from the goalies but if you wanted to run a low owned Watford stack, you could do worse. The Hornets are flying high after pretty credibly beating Liverpool 3-0, snapping their EPL unbeaten streak at 44 games. Ismaila Sarr was the star the of the show as his goal scoring ability infected Liverpool with the “Sarr’s virus”. He will be the most popular of the Watford players, but Troy Deeney is still a strong option as well “I believe he scored against Liverpool too”. Gerard Delefeou is out so I would focus on those two. For Crystal Palace, Patrick Van Aanholt should get his fair share of DraftKings love, splitting set pieces with Luka M. and coming off some strong weeks recently. All that said, I like both goalies in what at least Las Vegas believes will be a low scoring game.
