3/6 LCS League of Legends Breakdown
Welcome to my 3/6 LCS League of Legends Breakdown where I am looking to give you the edge on today’s slate. LCS has been sitting well recently without some major upsets occurring so let’s take a dive into today’s slate and see where our 5 matches take us. Today we have DIG/GG, 100T/TSM, C9/TL, EG/IMT, CLG/FLY. I think we are going to be looking at mostly a cash game slate today as we have some safer matchups and then some gpp shots. Let’s dive into it.
DIG (-320) vs GG (+235)
Our first match of the day and a closer one than many would believe. Both of these teams are in the lower half of the league and I am putting DIG slightly over GG here as the team I expect to win today. They have been playing much better recently and are one of the safest plays on the slate for cash games. LCS games have recently been lower scoring than expected with teams pushing to end instead of fighting over final objectives. They have been closing out more recently and I expect DIG to be a cash game play today with around 14 kill upside.
TSM (-120) vs 100T (-110)
We have some big names here in this matchup and I am leaning towards 100T to take the win here. 100T has been one of the more aggressive team in the LCS while TSM has been focusing on controlling objectives and getting wins through having their lanes always pushing out and having the neutral objective control around vision. 100T has been on a bit of a downturn recently not being able to pick up wins against higher tier teams while TSM is also facing a downturn in their own right having both teams dropped 2 straight matches. These teams trade off objectives and in the end the stats go about even. I expect TSM to take the win here but not a lot of kills here. Would be a low owned gpp play.
C9 (-135) vs TL (+105)
This is one of my favorite matches on the slate and what I would expect to be a pace up spot from the rest of the field as whenever C9 plays they like to turn the match bloody. These two have already faced off against each other twice, once in the lock in tourney and again in the regular season. In these matches the winner has averaged 21 kill and I expect more of the same to continue today though this is going to be a hedge spot for me today. Statistically TL controls the early game and rolls it into the late game where C9 take over. I expect C9 to make this a bloody and close match and I expect all positions to be close but the main edge being in the jungle with C9 have Blabber who is the best player in NA at the moment. My lean is towards C9 but look for both here.
EG (-285) vs IMT (+210)
I am expecting this to be one of those freebie games that I had in yesterday’s article where I am looking for EG to be able to cruise past IMT in quite the easy fashion as they have the better team all around in terms of talent level and how they tend to play their macro state. IMT is one of those pesky bottom of the barrel teams that like to pull off an upset but usually they are one of the worst teams in the LCS with all distinctive lane advantages going in the favor of EG. I expect this to be one of the main spots for cash games today in the favor of EG.
FLY (-125) vs CLG (-105)
Our last match of the day and another one I can like for the upside as CLG can not close out a match for their life while FLY has a strong early game with their addition of Josedeodo in the jungle. FLY is coming off a loss to C9 while CLG is off a stomp coming against GG. Since CLG has had Pobelter return they have been playing much better with them finally having a solid mid laner in place of rjs who was terrible so far this split. I expect this to be a very close match as CLG is a good team at coming back from early game deficits but not finishing them off which is what I believe will be their downfall in this matchup ultimately giving the win over to FLY.
Summary
I expect DIG/TSM/C9/EG/FLY to all win today and my main 4 stacks will be coming off a hedge of the C9/TL match as it should be the bloodiest of the day with C9 having the highest CKPM in the LCS.
