In his latest look at what to expect for the 2024 NFL season, Win Daily resident fantasy expert StixPicks breaks down the offensive prospects for the AFC South.
Indianapolis Colts2023 Record 9-8 |
Head Coach: Shane Steichen
OC: Jim Bob Cooter
O-Line Grade: A
2023 Offensive Stats:
- P. Att/g: 33.8
- R. Att/g: 28.2
- Plays/g: 62.0
- TM SEC/play: 27.5
Notes:
No changes in coaching. Should be a fun offense if Richardson can stay healthy. Knowing JBC, I would assume we see a bit of a pass-heavy offense despite the weaker volume we saw last year (QB carousel). Fast-paced and good for fantasy production. WR heavy passing game.
Key “Skill” Fantasy Assets:
- Michael Pittman
- Jonathan Taylor
- Josh Downs / Mitchell upside?
Jacksonville Jaguars2023 Record 9-8 |
Head Coach: Doug Pederson
OC: Press Taylor (HC calls plays)
O-Line Grade: B+
2023 Offensive Stats:
- P. Att/g: 36.5
- R. Att/g: 26.6
- Plays/g: 63.1
- TM SEC/play: 28.3
Notes:
Nice improvements to the O-Line, nice pace of play. Lot of fantasy upside here in this offense!
Key “Skill” Fantasy Assets:
- Christian Kirk
- Travis Etienne
- Evan Engram
- Maybe best-ball upside in Gabe/Parker/Brian Thomas
Houston Texans2023 Record 10-7 |
Head Coach: DeMeco Ryans
OC: Bobby Slowik
O-Line Grade: B+
2023 Offensive Stats:
- P. Att/g: 34.1
- R. Att/g: 25.3
- Plays/g: 59.4
- TM SEC/play: 28.3
Notes:
This offense will slow down in tempo and pass-heavy tendencies in comparison to the beginning and middle of 2023. There are a lot of mouths to feed, but this is a great offense under the Shanahan tree. Maybe just take the RBs on your fantasy team and pray for the positive touchdown variance instead of playing which pass-catcher crushes this week.
Key “Skill” Fantasy Assets:
- Nico Collins
- Joe Mixon
- CJ Stroud
- Stefon Diggs
- Tank Dell
- Dalton Schultz
Tennessee Titans2023 Record 10-7 |
Head Coach: Brian Callahan (replaces Mike Vrabel)
OC: Nick Holz
O-Line Grade: C
2023 Offensive Stats:
- P. Att/g: 29.1
- R. Att/g: 26.1
- Plays/g: 55.2
- TM SEC/play: 30.4
Notes:
Pass-rate will go up under Callahan and Holz which should be a refreshing view for Titans’ fans. Solid options across the board from a fantasy perspective with a lot of 11 personnel packages like we always saw in Cinci. This offense will go if Will Levis can go.
Key “Skill” Fantasy Assets:
- Calvin Ridley
- Tony Pollard (cuff with Spears, but Spears will get his regardless)
- DeAndre Hopkins (injured)
- Don’t see a lot of TE love (similar to CIN offense), but I do believe in the red-zone upside of Josh Whyle (best-ball) or DVM… I don’t think Chiggy is the guy.
