11/12 College Football DraftKings and FanDuel DFS

It is time to head back to college and enjoy a great day of College Football.

Welcome to Week 11 of the College Football season! We have hit the point in the year where just about every game is a conference matchup. With teams from the same conference meeting, we get the pleasure of watching great teams going at it. This week we get a couple of great matchups. The slate’s highlight is in New Orleans, where 17th-ranked Tulane hosts 22nd-ranked UCF. Both teams need a win to keep pace in the AAC and play in the AAC title game to end the year.

11/12 CFB Top Plays

Quarterbacks

DraftKings Quarterbacks

Tanner Mordecai – SMU – $8,100 This is a smash spot for SMU and their Quarterback. Mordecai leads the 5th-ranked passing offense against a terrible USF defense. Over the past three weeks, Mordecai has scored over 40 points in two of the three games. The best QB that USF has faced this season was probably Tulane’s Michael Pratt who scored 36.7 points. While I am a big fan of Pratt, I don’t think he is at the level of Mordecai. It’ll be hard for Mordecai to match the numbers he put up last week against Houston, 65.5, but he should still end the game with a large number.

Hunter Dekkers – Iowa St – $5,700 – Dekkers hasn’t had a great season so far, only averaging 18.9 points. I think that this week’s matchup against a struggling Oklahoma State squad is the perfect game to turn things around. The Cowboy’s team is the 7th worse team against the pass, with the weapons that Dekkers has he can exploit the Cowboy’s weakness.

FanDuel Quarterbacks

Sam Hartman – Wake Forest – $10,600 – Hartman has struggled a bit over his last two games, only scoring 22.92 combined points after putting up 40.22 three games ago. Luckily for him, he has a great chance to regain the form he showed early in the season as he faces UNC’s terrible pass defense. Even with his recent struggles, Hartman is still in the top 20 in passing touchdowns and yards. The pace of the game will also benefit Hartman, as UNC has proven they can score a lot of points which means Wake Forest will need their star QB to pass for a couple of touchdowns to keep pace.

Michael Penix Jr – Washington – $10,800 – I’m a big fan of Penix’s matchup against Oregon on Saturday. Penix is coming into this game averaging 26.1 points and has had at least 20 in all but three of his games. Penix ranks top four in completions (3rd), passing attempts (4th), and passing yards (1st). Similar to Hartman against UNC, Penix will be helped out this week by the pace of his opponent. Oregon is a team that scores fast, which means Penix will have plenty of opportunities to throw on the 118th-ranked pass defense.

Pivots:

DraftKings – Grant Wells – Virginia Tech – $6,000 “low-end”, JT Daniels – WVU – $6,700 “mid-range”, Dillon Gabriel – Oklahoma – $8,000 “high-end”

FanDuel – Malik Cunnigham – Louisville – $8,800 “low-end”, Michael Pratt – Tulane – $9,500 “mid-range”, Bo Nix – Oregon – $12,000 “high-end”

Running Backs

DraftKings Running Backs

Blake Corum – Michigan – $8,300 Play Corum, end of the write-up. In all honesty, Corum is my favorite play this week. The Michigan RB has seven straight games of over 20 points, including four of those going for over 30. This week Michigan takes on Nebraska who has not been able to stop the run all season. I see no reason for Corum to not have his fifth 30-plus game of the season against Nebraska.

Audric Estime – Notre Dame – $5,400  Estime is coming into the matchup against Navy in good form. He has been able to find the endzone in each of his last four games and racked up five total touchdowns in that span. The matchup against the Navy will be interesting given where Navy’s defense ranks, 9th, against the run. The reason why going up against a tough rush defense doesn’t bother me this week, is that Notre Dame has been a run-first team this season and they will continue that style of play in this game where they are over two touchdown favorites.

FanDuel Running Backs

Bijan Robinson – Texas – $10,500  This week you have a tough choice on FanDuel, play Robinson or Corum. I touched on why I liked Corum above in the DraftKings section, so I will mention Robinson here. Last week Robinson hit over 30 points for the third time this season against a decent KSU defense, and this week he plays a TCU rush defense that ranks only one spot ahead of KSU. For Texas to have a chance to keep pace with TCU this weekend they will have to feed Robinson often and improve on his season high 30 carries from last week.

Elijah Green UNC – $7,300 – Green has slowly become UNC’s top RB option as over the past few weeks he’s taking the majority of runs. This week’s matchup against Wake should be an interesting one for him, as I see Wake focusing on trying to contain the explosive passing game for UNC which should open up space for Green to run. Last week against Virginia, Green saw a season high 23 touches an 113 total yards.

Pivots:

DraftKings – Brian Battie – USF – $5,300 “low-end”, Raheim Sanders – Arkansas – $7,100 “mid-range”, Jahmyr Gibbs – Alabama – $8,700 “high-end”

FanDuel – Corey Shrader – Missouri – $6,200 “low-end”Bucky Irving – Oregon- $8,300 “mid-range”, Blake Corum – Michigan – $10,400 “high-end”

DraftKings Wide Receivers

Rashee Rice – SMU – $8,400  I wrote up his QB above, and now it’s time to quickly talk about SMU’s number one WR. Rice and Mordecai’s connection has been great for fantasy as Rice has scored over 25 points in two-thirds of his games. In his last two, Rice has scored 29.6 and 42 points, as well as catching 9 balls and scoring twice. The USF DBs should not present too much of an issue this weekend, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Rice finds the endzone two more times in that game.

Xavier Hutchinson – Iowa St – $8,300 – Hutchinson has been nothing but great this season on DraftKings. He has managed to score over 20 points in all but two of his nine games this season. Hutchinson is the top target for Dekker, and as mentioned in my Dekker section above, Oklahoma State can’t stop anyone through the air. This game should be Hutchinson’s fifth double-digit reception game in his last six.

Pivots:

Nick Gallo – Virginia Tech – $3,400 “low-end”, Jalil Farooq – Oklahoma – $6,000 “mid-range”, Bryce Ford-Wheaton – WVU – $7,000 “high-end”

FanDuel Wide Receivers

Roman Odunze – Washington – $9,200 – Like Penix Jr, I am a fan of using Odunze against a struggling Oregon pass defense. Odunze has played a significant role in the success that Penix Jr has had this season at Washington, Odunze ranks 7th in receiving yards as well as 14th in receptions. I look for Penix to target Odunze often in this game to try and keep up with the Duck’s high-power offense. If you need some salary relief, Odunze’s partner McMillan is also a good player at $8,100, but I would prioritize using Odunze over him if the salary is available.

Bryce Ford-Wheaton – WVU – $8,200 – Wheaton has been consistently the best target for JT Daniels this year. He has a 27% target share this season, and should be in line for more targets as WVU takes on Oklahoma this weekend. Over the past four weeks, Wheaton has 24 receptions, 286 yards and 2 touchdowns as well as averaged 10.5 in the four game span. Oklahoma this week should present a favorable matchup for Daniels and Wheaton, as the Sooners rank 73rd in the nation against the passing game.

Pivots:

Kayshon Boutte – LSU – $6,300 “low-end”, AT Perry – Wake Forest – $8,400 “mid-range”, Marvin Harrison Jr – OhioSt – $9,700 “high-end”
