I don’t really have a core for the 5 game slate, but I will say that the Baylor vs LSU game should be the highest scoring on the slate so I’ll have 1 piece from each side in my lineups. There is also enough value to use Jeanty but at his price and this being the toughest run defense he has faced this season, I am ok with fading him if you want to.

Welcome back to another exciting season of CFB! After a solid regular season, we are back with another action packed Bowl Season. Today we will see our first of four CFP games as Notre Dame and Indiana face off in a great playoff matchup.

The purpose of this article is to break down the college football main slates, both on the DFS and betting side. The article includes my favorite plays at every position as well as honorable mentions. You can also find my favorite bets under my Dragos Best Bets section.

The QBs:

Favorite QBsPivots
Riley Leonard, Notre DameTyler Huff, Jacksonville State
Parker Navarro, OHIODJ Lagway, Florida (VALUE QB)

The RBs:

Favorite RBsPivots
Jeremiyah Love, Notre DameAnthony Tyus III, OHIO
Makhi Hughes, TulaneTre Stewart, Jacksonville State
Justice Ellison, Indiana

The WRs:

Favorite WRsPivots Value
Coleman Owen, OHIOMario Williams, TulaneYulkeith Brown, Tulane
Elijah Sarratt, IndianaElijah Badger, FloridaMitchell Evans, Notre Dame
Beaux Collins, Notre DameMichael Pettway, Jacksonville StateMiles Cross, Indiana
CORE Plays:
  • Riley Leonard, QB
  • At least one of Owen, Sarratt, and Williams
  • One of Love and Hughes
  • Anthony Tyus III, RB

I am locking in Leonard in just about every lineup I am playing. He is the best QB on the slate and is playing in the only CFP game on the slate. He is been able to produce with his legs all season and against a good Indiana defense he will need to do that again this game. If you are fading Leonard I would suggest playing both Navarro and Huff. They are two QBs who are great runners in a matchup that can become high scoring.

For the RBs, I think you need at least one of Love and Hughes. Hughes has the easier matchup of the two as Love is taking on Indiana’s top ranked run defense, but if you are not playing Leonard then I would lock in Love. Tyus might be my favorite play on the slate based on price and matchup. Jacksonville State has the worse run defense on the slate and since coming back Tyus has been a great running back. Tyus is a great play even if you are using Navarro.

For WRs, Owen, Sarratt, and Williams are the best three wide receivers on paper and they are the clear number ones on their teams.

Drago’s Best Bets:

  • Ohio -6 (-110) vs Jacksonville State
  • Notre Dame -7 (-108) vs Indiana
  • Mario Williams 50+ Receiving Yards (+110)
  • Anthony Tyus III 100+ Rushing Yards (+120)

Welcome back to another exciting season of CFB! After a solid regular season, we are back with another action packed Bowl Season.

The purpose of this article is to break down the college football main slates, both on the DFS and betting side. The article includes my favorite plays at every position as well as honorable mentions. You can also find my favorite bets under my Dragos Best Bets section.

CORE 4 Plays:

There will be a lot of starters missing from the four teams competing on Tuesday, but there are still some very strong plays.

  • Hajj-Malik Williams, QB (UNLV)
  • Kisean Johnson, WR (WKU)
  • George Pettaway, RB (JMU)
  • Ricky White, WR (UNLV)

With Mendoza and Barnett opting out from Cal and JMU’s respective bowl games, the only starting quarterbacks that will be available are WKU’s Veltkamp and UNLV’s Williams. While I like Veltkamp a lot for this slate, I am focusing on using Williams in every lineup. He was named captain for the bowl game and has been a great leader since taking over earlier in the year. I think wearing the “C” will give him extra motivation to improve on what was a terrible Mountain West Title game. Similarly I am using his main WR in lineups with him. White also had a title game to forget in his last outing and should be hungry to prove why he’s considered one of the best WRs outside the P4 conferences.

Pettaway is one of my favorite plays from the two game slate with JMU’s QB out for the game. JMU was a running team with Barnett at QB and now with a backup in, I expect them to use Pettaway even more than they did with Barnett.

The QB Ranking:

  • Hajj-Malik Williams, UNLV
  • Caden Veltkamp, WKU
  • Billy Atkins, JMU
  • Chandler Rogers, CAL

The RB Rankings:

  • George Pettaway, JMU
  • Elijah Young, WKU
  • Jai’Den Thomas, UNLV
  • Jaydn Ott, CAL

The WR Rankings:

  • Ricky White III, UNLV
  • Kisean Johnson, WKU
  • Cam Ross, JMU
  • Jacob De Jesus, UNLV
  • Jonathan Brady, CAL
  • Dalvin Smith, WKU
  • Omarion Dollison, JMU
  • Noah Meyers, WKU
  • Taylor Thompson, JMU

Drago’s Best Bets:

  • Western Kentucky +7.5 (-115) vs James Madison
  • George Pettaway 70+ Rushing Yards (-115)
  • UNLV -3.5 (-105) vs CAL
  • Ricky White III 81+ Receiving Yards (-130)

The purpose of this article is to break down the college football main slates, both on the DFS and betting side. The article includes my favorite plays at every position as well as honorable mentions. You can also find my favorite bets under my Dragos Best Bets section.

The QBs:

Favorite QB on the Slate:

Jaxson Dart, MISS:

I usually don’t like to use the highest priced guy as my favorite QB on a slate because of pricing, but I can’t look past Dart’s matchup against Mississippi State. Despite losing last week against Florida, Dart still had a solid game throwing for 323 yards and two touchdowns. What ended up hurting him was having his first multi-interception game of the season. That should hopefully be a one-off performance as Mississippi State has only seven interceptions in 11 games.

PivotsValue QBs
Parker Navarro, OHIOKatin Houser, ECU
Jordan McCloud, TXSTMaealiuaki Smith, OKST
Shedeur Sanders, COLBryson Barnes, UTST
Gio Lopez, SALAWalker Eget, SJSU
Kaidon Salter, LIBX
  • I am locking in Dart in every lineup I can fit him in. He is the best QB on the slate and besides Sanders the only one that has been consistently putting up high scores.
  • Navarro doesn’t have the best matchup on paper but I really like his rushing ability this week. He has produced with his legs and now against Ball State he should continue as Ball State has allowed multiple running quarter backs to have success.
  • Eget is one of my favorite value plays. He is coming off of a game where he had under 50 passing yards which will probably keep his ownership low. That game was just a one-off, there was a huge storm and it was difficult for him to find a rhythm.
  • I like playing Salter naked if you are using him. He can get value with his legs while spreading the ball around.

The RBs:

Favorite RB on the Slate:

Avery Morrow, CSU:

The best running back on the slate is the rightful Heisman winner Ashton Jeanty, but he is 14K on DraftKings so it’ll be difficult to fit into lineups. So my favorite running back that can fit into lineups is Morrow. He only played a handful of snaps last week after getting injured but he should be available on Friday. I’ll be monitoring his situation and if he isn’t able to go I am pivoting to Justin Marshall. With how bad the Utah State rush defense is I want whoever starts for CSU.

PivotsValue RBs
Ashton Jeanty, BSUEli Heidenreich, NAVY
Anthony Tyus, OHIORahjai Harris, ECU
Ollie Gordon, OKSTTawee Walker, WISC

  • Tre Harris is currently listed as Questionable. I’ll update his status on Discord prior to kickoff

Drago’s Best Bets:

  • Oklahoma State vs Colorado Over 65 (-112)
  • San Jose State -2.5 (-110) vs Stanford
  • Ohio -17.5 (-108) vs Ball State
  • East Carolina -2.5 (-115) vs Navy

Welcome back to another exciting season of CFB! After a solid week 11 slate, we are back with another action packed Saturday.

The purpose of this article is to break down the college football main slates, both on the DFS and betting side. The article includes my favorite plays at every position as well as honorable mentions. You can also find my favorite bets under my Dragos Best Bets section.

The QBs:

Favorite QB on the Slate:

Cam Ward, MIA:

I usually don’t like to use the highest priced guy as my favorite QB on a slate because of pricing, but I can’t look past Ward’s matchup against Wake Forest. Only four team in CFB are allowing more than Wake Forest’s 281.9 yards per game, one of them being Texas Tech who is also on this slate. Miami will be the third team Wake Forest takes on who are ranked in the Top 25, the previous two were Clemson and Ole Miss. In those two games Wake allowed a total of 720 yards and six touchdowns as well as 65 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. This should be a statement game for both Ward and Miami as the last time we saw them they were walking off the field after being upset by Georgia Tech.

PivotsValue QBs
Jaxson Dart, MISSBehren Morton, TTU
Tyler Shough, ULAnthony Colandrea, UVA
Eli Holstein, PITTDJ Lagway, UF
Kevin Jennings, SMUDylan Rizk, UCF
  • Dart and Ward can easily be the top two QBs on this slate based on their favorable matchups so I am running at least one in all of my lineups.
  • If you are looking for a game to game stack and use both QBs, then both the OKST/TTU, SMU/UVA, and PITT/UL games are the best options.
  • Every QB on this slate should be paired with someone. I can’t see any of them getting a great score with only their legs. They will get there thanks to the pass catchers.
  • Lagway has the lowest floor of the QBs listed in the Value section. So I would not use too many lineups with him.

The RBs:

Favorite RB on the Slate:

Tahj Brooks,TTU:

Brooks has been one of the best CFB running backs this season. His season low on DraftKings is 17 points, but since that game he has six straight with at least 22 with three games of over 30 in that span. This matchup should be great for him, Oklahoma State has the second worst rush defense allowing 240.8 yards per game. This season Brooks has not had under 100 rushing yards with his season low being 109. Brooks is a lock for me in every lineup this week.

PivotsValue RBs
Brashard Smith, SMUUlysses Bentley IV, MISS
Omarion Hampton, UNCDamien Martinez, MIA
Cam Skattebo, ASUX
Devin Neal, KUX
RJ Harvey, UCFX

The WRs:

Jeremiah Smith, OSUJordyn Tyson, ASUElijhah Badger, UF

Drago’s Best Bets:

  • Miami vs Wake Forest Under 67.5 (-110)
  • SMU -10 (-112) vs Virginia
  • Penn State -12 (-110) vs Minnesota
  • BYU ML (+142) vs Arizona St
  • Texas Tech vs Oklahoma St Over 65.5 (-110)

Welcome back to another exciting season of CFB! After a solid week 11 slate, we are back with another action packed Saturday.

The purpose of this article is to break down the college football main slates, both on the DFS and betting side. The article includes my favorite plays at every position as well as honorable mentions. You can also find my favorite bets under my Dragos Best Bets section.

The QBs:

Favorite QB on the Slate:

Quinn Ewers, UT:

Ewers price on DraftKings feels like a complete mis-price. He is the seventh highest priced QB despite being the starter on the 10th best passing team in CFB and is taking on the 10th worst passing defense in CFB. Arkansas had a bye week last Saturday so the last time we saw them on the field, they were giving up over 500 passing yards to Jaxson Dart and Ole Miss. I’m expecting Ewers and the Longhorns will treat this as a showoff game, as they have faced criticism for being ranked 3rd in the latest CFP rankings. And if Arkansas can’t improve on their 13.09 yards allowed per completion it will surely be a statement game for Texas.

PivotsValue QBS
Riley Leonard, NDDrew Allar, PSU
Cade Klubnik, CLEMFernando Mendoza, CAL
Kyle McCord, SYRTyler Shough, UL
Garrett Nussmeier, LSUX
Blake Horvath, NAVYX
  • Unfortunately there really isn’t any cheap QBs on DK that stick out. Allar/Mendoza/Shough are as low as I am going for this slate.
  • Every QB I have listed should be paired with at least one pass catcher, except Leonard and Horvath. Both of those QBs are fine naked as Leonard’s running ability has been a large portion of Notre Dame’s offense and Navy doesn’t throw much so 90% of Horvath points is coming from his legs.
  • Ewers is my favorite QB but on this slate I think your top QB should be one of Ewers/Klubnik/Nussmeier. They have great matchups that can help them finish near the top of the slate

The RBs:

Favorite RB on the Slate:

Makhi Hughes, TUL:

Hughes is my favorite overall play on the slate. He has been one of the most consistent running backs in CFB, having four straight games with 30+ points on DK and just missed a sixth one in Week 6 by .6. This week he takes on a middle of the road run defense in Navy. This game is going to be a dream matchup for people who love watching teams run the ball. In what is a must win for Tulane’s AAC title hopes, I think they are going to lean on Hughes to control the game.

PivotsValue RBs
Eli Heidenreich, NAVYKaytron Allen, PSU
Jeremiyah Love, NDQuintrevion Wisner, UT
Isaac Brown, ULJadan Baugh, UF
Phil Mafah, CLEMX
Bryson Washington, BAYX

Quick Note: Jadan Baugh is sub 4K on DraftKings, I wouldn’t force him into any lineups but if you need someone under 4K he is definitely worth a punt.

The WRs:

Favorite WR PlaysPivotsValue WRs
Isaiah Bond, UTJackson Meeks, SYRMakai Lemon, USC
Ja’Corey Brooks, ULMario Williams, TULMason Taylor, LSU
Antonio Williams, CLEMElic Ayomanor, STANNyziah Hunter, CAL
Trebor Pena, SYRTyler Warren, PSUGunnar Helm, UT
Kyren Lacy, LSUTravis Hunter, COLJack Endries, CAL

Drago’s Best Bets:

  • Texas -12.5 (-110) vs Arkansas
  • Clemson vs Pittsburgh Over 52.5 (-110)
  • Syracuse +10 (-112) vs CAL
  • LSU -3.5 (-108) vs Florida
  • USC Alt Line -9.5 (+108) vs Nebraska
