NHL Betting Picks Thursday 3/25

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Thursday 3/25. The Model bounced back in a big way on Tuesday going 3-0. The Devils won outright as dogs against the Flyers who are reeling BAD. The under in the Panthers/Blackhawks was a nice win with 5 goals being scored, and the late +205 money line add on the Coyotes was a battle but we got great value and a win there. Fade Jonas Johansson, he is deemed the worst goalie in the NHL at the moment. We took the night off yesterday but ready to get back into it tonight.

We have 11 games on the NHL slate tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Capitals Money Line (-190) over the Devils
  • Hurricanes Money Line (-165) over the Blue Jackets
  • Islanders Puck Line (+1.5, -250) over the Bruins
  • Rangers Puck Line (-1.5, +205) over the Flyers
  • Penguins Puck Line (-1.5, -127) and Money Line (-315) over the Sabres
  • Wild Puck Line (-1.5, +205) over the Blues
  • Lightning Puck Line (-1.5, +155) and Money Line (-175) over the Stars

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight.

My Picks

Free Picks

Blackhawks ML (+110): The Panthers have a big injury with their captain and best player Barkov already being ruled out. The Blackhawks also have a slight goaltending edge with Lankinen in against Bobrovsky. The Blackhawks should be a slight favorite so the fact that we are getting plus money on them gives us value.

Leafs -1.5 (-115): The numbers this season wouldn’t suggest that the Leafs could cover -1.5 against the North Division-worst Senators. The Leafs only have 3 wins in 6 games against the Senators, and in only 1 of those 3 wins did the Leafs cover the puck line. However, the Leafs have had ample rest in the past 2 weeks playing only 2 games since March 14. With a 3-way tie on points for the North Division lead, and the Leafs are fully healthy and having the better goaltender in net tonight, this screams Leafs blowout.

Premium Pick

Devils +1.5 (-148): The Devils have been much improved of late. They are actually +7u on the road this season on the money line, however they are lining up against a strong Capitals team tonight. Washington is -2u on the puck line at home and the Devils are +3u on the puck line on the road. This seems like a good opportunity for the Devils to cover the 1.5.

Let’s get into it!

Keep in mind!!! FanDuel has updated their NHL tournaments, and they now include two UTIL spots which have replaced two winger spots. DraftKings has stayed the same but don’t forget last season they revamped the scoring and added stats bonuses, so if you’re new to NHL or haven’t played in a while, check out our live stream on the WinDaily YouTube by clicking here and read through the rules on the site of your choice!

3/25 NHL Stack Report

  1. Pittsburgh Penguins 1
    Rust – Crosby – Guentzel (FanDuel: $21,500 | DraftKings: $22,200)
Where to start here, there’s not much too say about this line. We saw them last night, don’t expect anything different tonight. Buffalo is so unbelievably bad, that they helped break the Penguins out of the minor funk they were in without Geno. As he will most likely be out tonight as well, Pittsburgh has really only one line that I would consider playing on this large slate and that is Pittsburgh’s top line. Not to mention, there’s a chance they’ll be up against an emergency call-up as Buffalo’s top tandem, who weren’t that great, to begin with, are both out with injuries.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Kris Letang (FD: $6,000 | DK: $6,700)
  2. Carolina Hurricanes 1
    Necas – Aho – Neiderreiter (FanDuel: $17,100 | DraftKings: $16,800)
    – Here we have a severely underpriced line that has been producing consistently and will be going up against a goalie who really hasn’t been that good as of late. It’s a shame because Korpi had some strong performances prior to his injury last season but has just experienced significant regression this season. There are lots of great options in tonight’s packed slate but this line (like DAL2, NSH1 and MIN1) provides the value necessary to comfortably stack Pittsburgh’s top line. Not to mention Carolina has one of the highest implied totals on the slate at 3.1.
Ideal Defensive Partner: Dougie Hamilton (Brett Pesce as a salary saver) (FD: $6,500 | DK: $7,200)

    Honorable Mention(s): COL 1, TOR 1, DAL 2, NSH 1, WSH 1, MIN1,
FLA 1(Keep an eye on Barkov) VGK 1 (keep an eye on Pacioretty)

3/25 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. James Reimer (FD: $8,400 | DK: $7,800)
  2. Jack Campbell (FD: $8,000 | DK: $8,400)

Honorable Mention(s): Lankinen, Rinne, Jarry, Kahkonen, Samsonov

Worst

  1. Michael Houser (FD: $6,600 | DK: $-,— [literally not on DK, that’s how bad he is])
    Honorable Mention(s): Greiss, Gustavsson, Hart

3/25 NHL Wild Card Targets

Oliver Wahlstrom (FD: $4,000 | DK: $3,600)
– Wahlstrom has really shown up this season and has remained undervalued despite showing a good account of himself. Olly has six points in his last six games and is slowly beginning to creep up towards 15 minutes of TOI per game, definitely not bad for his breakout season. He pairs well with centerman Jean-Gabriel Pageau. If you need to save the salary strongly consider Wahlstrom for your lineups.

Honorable Mention(s): Artemi Panarin, Martin Necas, Sharangovich/Kuokkanen, Donskoi

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Winger Sidney Crosby

Winger Eeli Tolvanen

Defence Adam Fox

Goalie James Reimer

Welcome to the NHL DFS Man Advantage for a Monday night! Tonight we have a seven-game slate, so let’s get started!

With seven games on the slate tonight we have plenty of options to choose from when building our lineups tonight. That may seem like a good thing, but some nights it can be a bad thing. Looking at tonight’s slate we have 5 of the top 10 teams in goals scored (and Vegas is #11) on this slate so there should be plenty of goals scored. We just need to pick the right teams and the right lines, and we all know how easy that is (insert eye roll emoji)

NHL DFS: Goaltenders

There is one obvious play in net tonight, Philipp Grubauer ($8,500/$8,100). Colorado is home to the Ducks who are on the second night of a road back to back. Anaheim just played an overtime game on the road Sunday night in St. Louis, and as one of the lowest-scoring teams in the league who is now also a tired team without one of their best players ( Rickard Rakell), this matchup seems easy for the Av’s netminder. If you are playing cash or on FanDuel, then Grubauer is your guy, but if you’re on DraftKings then this next play may be the one for you.

Kaapo Kahkonen ($7,900/$8,300)

Kahkonen hasn’t played in over a week for the Wild because Cam Talbot ($7,700/$8,300) has been the hot hand in net. If the Wild go back to Talbot tonight is an equally fine play as well. I think the Wild give Kahkonen the start tonight in San Jose against a Sharks team that ranks towards the bottom in most offensive categories. San Jose is 27th in goals for, and average just 2.6 per game. In their last 10 games San Jose has been allowing over 30 saves per game and near 18 FPPG. Kahkonen has mad 2 starts and appeared in a 3rd game, stopping 79 of 85 shots for a .929 sv% and made 31 saves the last time out against San Jose in a Minnesota 6-2 win.

Other Options: Tristan Jarry ($7,800/$8,400), Robin Lehner ($8,200), Connor Hellebuyck ($7,700/$8,500), David Rittich ($7,800/$7,00)

NHL DFS: Slate Overview

Once again, with so many of the top goal scoring teams on this slate (Edm,Col,Tor,Pit,Wpg,VGK) there will be plenty of options for us to use. Of course all three of Edmonton, Toronto, and Colorado’s top lines are in play. Vegas’ top line may be one of the best options on the slate at home to LA. We saw Pittsburgh’s top line destroy the Islanders on Saturday night. All these lines are in play tonight, but I have another line that could rival the scores these teams put up tonight.

Philadelphia Flyers :

Philly has not been the most prolific offensive team of late, notching just 13 goals in their last 5 games (3 loses). Just like you go to the doctor when you’re sick, NHL teams go to Buffalo to feel better and that’s what Philadelphia does tonight.

I like multiple lines from the Flyers tonight, but their top unit stands out to me as the one line that should get it done against the Sabres. They are not overly expensive but have one of the higher ceilings on the slate tonight. Sean Couturier ($6,300/$7,400) centers the top line and he comes in riding a three-game point streak (3 goals 2 assists). On the wings are James van Riemsdyk ($6,100/$5,600) and Travis Konecny ($4,900/$5,600) who haven’t been as hot as Couturier but in this matchup, they could get going. JVR has 4 points (2 goals 2 assists) against Buffalo this season, and Konecny has added a goal against the Sabres. All three are also on the Flyers’ top PP unit, playing against the Sabres who in the bottom third of the league in PK%. Kevin Hayes ($5,500/$5,100) and Shayne Gostisbehere ($5,100/$3,700) round out the Flyers top power-play unit. I really like Ghost on FD today at his cheap $3.7K price tag and he has already scored twice against the Sabres in just three games this season.

Other Stacking Options:

Top Line Stacks:

  • Colorado 1 vs Anaheim
  • Toronto 1 vs Edmonton
  • Pittsburgh 1 vs NY Islanders
  • Edmonton 1 vs Toronto
  • Winnipeg 2 vs Calgary
  • Minnesota 1 vs San Jose
  • Vegas 1 vs Los Angeles
  • Toronto 2 vs Edmonton
  • Philadelphia 2 vs Buffalo
  • Los Angeles 1 vs Vegas
  • Winnipeg 1 vs Calgary

Top Value Stacks:

  • Colorado 2 vs Anaheim
  • Vegas 2 vs Los Angeles
  • NY Islanders 3 vs Pittsburgh
  • Pittsburgh 2 vs NY Islanders
  • Los Angeles 2 vs Vegas
  • Colorado 3 vs Anaheim
  • Edmonton 2 vs Toronto
  • Minnesota 2 vs San Jose

NHL Betting Picks Tuesday 3/23

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Tuesday 3/23. The Model returned with an 0-2 night thanks to Minnesota just squeaking out a 2-1 win and not covering the puck line, and the Flames with a surprise loss to Ottawa 2-1. That’s a game Calgary needs to win and half the reason they made the coaching change was to ensure that. Will be interesting to see if they punt on the season and sell at the trade deadline. Our premium pick (Edmonton ML) had their game cancelled so we weren’t even afforded the opportunity to rebound. Whatever, we bounce back today.

We have 5 games on the NHL slate tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Lightning Money Line (-155) and Puck Line (-1.5, -180) over the Stars
  • Panthers Money Line (-148) over the Blackhawks
  • Avalanche Money Line (-225) over the Coyotes
  • Predators/Red Wings Under Goals (5.5, +100)

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight.

My Picks

Free Picks

Devils ML (+140): I don’t love taking my team however the numbers are forcing our hand tonight. Carter Hart has been quite frankly terrible this season with a league low -21.28 (!!) Goals Saved Above Expected per Evolving-Hockey. The Devils are also very solid on the road +5.8u on the money line while the Flyers are -2.5u at home. Love the opportunity to win financially and emotionally too. Let’s ride.

Panthers/Blackhawks Under 6.5 (-110): This 6.5 number seems quite high for 2 teams that are both hitting their overs around 50%. Both of these teams average 6.03 goals/game and both have their strongest goaltending options in net (Driedger and Lankinen). The over is 3-1 when these teams have squared off this season and the only time it didn’t hit was when they scored 6 total goals. Look for a regression tonight and an under hit.

NHL Betting Picks Monday 3/22

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Monday 3/22. We had a 1-1 day yesterday with the Devils winning outright in OT against the Penguins covering 1.5, but the Preds/Stars decided to score some goals in a 4-3 contest and not hitting our under 5.5.

We have a massive 10 game slate tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Rangers Puck Line (-1.5, +125) over the Sabres
  • Sabres/Rangers Under Goals (5.5, -110)
  • Oilers Money Line (+108) over the Canadiens
  • Hurricanes Money Line (-155) over the Blue Jackets
  • Hurricanes/Blue Jackets Under Goals (5.5, -110)
  • Wild Money Line (-235) over the Ducks
  • Jets Puck Line (-1.5, +195) over the Canucks
  • Golden Knights Puck Line (-1.5, +180) over the Blues

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight.

My Picks

Free Picks

Flames -1 (-109): The Senators are projected to start Filip Gustavsson in net, his first NHL start. The Flames are playing better with Daryl Sutter behind the bench and they should handle business tonight against the Senators. The -1 number is getting us some good value since every victory over the Senators has been by more than 1 goal for the Flames. The issue is that they have lost more against the Sens than they have won, but look for that to change tonight.

Wild -1.5 (+120): The Wild are reeling after losing a 2 game set to Colorado by a combined score of 11-1. The good news is Colorado is pumping every team so take it with a grain of salt. The Wild get bottom feeders Anaheim tonight without John Gibson in net. Ryan Miller has played exactly how you’d expect a 40 year-old backup goalie to play. I like Minnesota to come out energized tonight and cover the puck line.

Premium Pick

Oilers ML (+105): Edmonton should not be an underdog tonight. The Canadiens are playing without Toffoli and have Price in net, which should actually give a small edge to Edmonton. This is a good value play with Edmonton +3u on the road this season and Montreal -3.3u at home.

Welcome to the NHL DFS Man Advantage for Monday night March 22nd! Tonight we have a massive 10 game slate with two of the top fantasy teams, Edmonton and Colorado, on this slate

We have both the Oilers and Avalanche on this slate but they aren’t the top places I want to look on a slate with 20 teams in action. Calgary is back on the east coast to take on the Senators for the 4th time this month. This game is the only one carrying a 6.5 O/U (according to DK Sportsbook).

In the late games, Los Angeles and San Jose is the game that intrigues me the most because it has shootout potential. San Jose has one of the worst penalty kills in the league allowing the 10th most opportunities and the 14th most power-play goals. Meanwhile, Los Angeles has scored the 6th most power-play goals in the league and the 8th most opportunities. If you haven’t already figured it out, the Kings power-play is one of my top plays tonight. They will carry low ownership and are fairly inexpensive industry-wide.

NHL DFS: Goaltenders

Cam Talbot ($8,300/$8,000)

I would much prefer to play Kahkonen, but Talbot is the starter on Monday, and either way the matchup is still a good one. Since his return from the IR on 2/26 Talbot has only been mediocre, but Anaheim presents an opportunity to get himself back on the right track. The Ducks have only scored 10 goals in their last 6 games, and average a pathetic 2.2 goals per game. One thing Anaheim doesn’t do is shot a lot, only 27.7 S/G per game, but Minnesota does allow over 30 shots on goal per game.

Other Options:

If you play on FanDuel, then Alexander Georgiev ($8,600/$7,500) is a great play against the Sabres on Monday. I won’t pay that price on DK for a middle-of-the-pack goalie on a large slate, but on FD he is a top play.

In a reversal, the Golden Knights Robin Lehner ($8,000/$8,500) is a better play on DK at home against the Blues on Monday night. If you really want to spend up, then Lehner is in a good spot, but I don’t love the price on FD. In his first start back from a concussion on Saturday, Lehner stopped 23 of 25 LA shots in a 4-2 win. St. Louis’ offense is slightly better than Los Angeles, but they are not even close to one of the top teams in the league offensively. I really like Lehner on Monday but more so on DK because of pricing.

All three of Thatcher Demko ($7,600/$7,700), Cal Petersen ($7,500/$7,200), and Semyon Varlamov ($7,900/$8,300) are good plays as well in their matchups on Monday night.

NHL DFS: Slate Overview

As always when they are on a late, both Colorado and Edmonton are great spots to be your pay-up stack or mini stack. I actually like some of the Colorado value tonight against Arizona as well. I mentioned both Calgary and Los Angeles as good places to build stacks, Ottawa is also in a pretty decent spot at home to the aforementioned Flames. Sticking with the Canadian teams, Winnipeg is also in a great spot tonight as well. I know I said Demko is an option in net tonight, but we have seen him give up 4-5 goals and still have a decent fantasy night because of how porous the Canucks defense is and allowing 35-40+ shots on goal per game.

Winnipeg Jets:

When looking at the Jets, their second line is actually where I prefer to start when building stacks. Kyle Connor ($6,400/$7,100) has cooled off some in the Jets last two games, but the entire team seemed to in their two games with the Oilers. Before that two-game stretch, the Jet winger has back-to-back multi goal games and has ten points in his last ten. His linemate Nikolaj Ehlers ($6,700) is playing equally as well. In his last three games, Ehlers has 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists), and has 11 points in his last 10 games. They are centered by Pierre-Luc Dubois ($4,900/$5,400), who himself has five points in his last three games including a 3 assist game last Wednesday. Vancouver’s penalty kill is an absolute dumpster fire right now, well actually all season, and you can use Connor with parts of the top line and/or defenseman Josh Morrisey ($4,500/$4,600) for a power-play 1 stack. Both Dubois and Ehlers see time on the second unit with defenseman Neal Pionk ($4,900/$4,800).

New York Rangers:

Another spot that might be more popular is the Rangers against Buffalo. Both of their top lines are in play or you can mix and match them for power-play stacks as well. New York’s top line has the highest ceiling of any stack in my opinion today based of recent history (9-0 against Philadelphia last week) and their opponents (Buffalo) inability to play hockey currently. Adam Fox ($5,200) is the only defenseman I would use from the Rangers as nobody else really seems to do much offensively. I know some people will look to play Miller or Trouba because of PP2 exposure, but I wouldn’t go there. There are much better value plays on the point tonight with so many teams playing on this slate.

Other Stacking Options:

Top Line Stacks (outside of teams already mentioned):

  • Minnesota 1 vs Anaheim (Ryan Miller should start with Gibson still on IR)
  • St. Louis 2 vs Vegas
  • Vegas 1 vs St. Louis (Monitor the Max Pacioretty injury situation)
  • Carolina 1 vs Columbus
  • Vegas 2 vs St. Louis
  • NY Islanders 1 vs Philadelphia (I prefer to swap Komarov off for Beauvillier for a PP1 stack)
  • St. Louis 1 vs Vegas
  • Columbus 1 vs Carolina

Top Value Stacks:

  • Columbus 2 vs Carolina
  • Philadelphia 3 vs NYI
  • Anaheim 1 vs Minnesota
  • Philadelphia 2 vs NYI
  • Arizona 1 vs Colorado
  • Montreal 2 vs Edmonton
  • Minnesota 2 vs Anaheim
  • NY Islanders 3 vs Philadelphia
  • Winnipeg 3 vs Vancouver

NHL DFS: Defensemen Rankings

Top Defensemen

  1. Seth Jones (CBJ)
  2. Dougie Hamilton (CAR) – Mainly FD where he is cheaper. Over $7k on DK
  3. Shea Theodore (VGK)
  4. Tyson Barrie (EDM)
  5. Jakob Chychrun (ARI)
  6. Jeff Petry (MTL)
  7. Cale Makar (COL)
  8. Mark Giordano (CGY)
  9. Brent Burns (SJ)
  10. Drew Doughty (LA)

Pionk, Morrisey, and Fox all mentioned as part of stacks are of course in play as well

Top Value Defensemen:

  1. Jared Spurgeon (MIN)
  2. Nick Leddy (NYI)
  3. Vince Dunn (STL)
  4. Zach Whitecloud (VGK)
  5. David Savard (CBJ)
  6. Sean Walker (LA)
  7. Nate Schmidt (VAN)
  8. Noah Hanifin (CGY)
  9. Ryan Graves (COL)
  10. Brett Pesce (CAR)

NHL Betting Picks Sunday 3/21

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Sunday 3/21. The Model took the night off to watch college basketball because March. I did sprinkle Leafs -1 which covered. Jack Campbell needs to get a run as he has played well enough to earn that #1 spot for the time being.

We have 4 games on the slate today. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Penguins Money Line (-225) over the Devils
  • Lightning Puck Line (-1.5, +180) over the Panthers
  • Golden Knights Money Line (-165) over the Kings
  • Predators Money Line (+160) over the Stars
  • Stars/Predators Under Goals (5.5, -120)

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight.

My Picks

Devils +1.5 (-141): The hope is the Devils go with one of the Wood’s in net (Blackwood or Wedgewood) instead of Dell. The Devils are + units on the puck line as a dog and on the road, and the Penguins are – units as a favorite. The Penguins have a lot of injuries and the Devils have played the Penguins close in their last 2 matchups, and we like a Devils cover here.

Predators/Stars Under 5.5 (-120): Neither of these teams score at a high rate and the Stars defend pretty well too. The over is actually 2-1 so far in their 3 matchups this season but I think there will be a regression today. The Stars haven’t scored more than 3 goals in any of their last 6 games. Both teams hit their overs under 50% of the time and we like this under today.

We’re back with another Saturday Night Win Daily NHL Article! Tonight we have nine action-packed games ahead of us. With that in mind, there are a lot of interesting plays on tonight’s large slate. So, get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 3/20 NHL slate, the slate begins at 7 pm ET so don’t forget to lock your lines and check the discord for any updates!

3/20 NHL Stack Report

  1. Washington Capitals 1
    Ovechkin – Backstrom – Oshie (FanDuel: $20,600 | DraftKings: $20,700)
The Caps are now on a seven-game win streak after beating the Rangers last night 2-1. This line scored both of Washington’s goals and owe much of their current form to the Great 8’s unstoppable scoring. After last night, Ovechkin now holds a five-game goal streak and will look to make it six against an inconsistent Alexander Georgiev. All three forwards play on the top power-play unit and Ovi in particular plays on both. He’s aged like a fine wine and I am confident that he can continue his current run of form tonight.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): John Carlson (Justin Schultz as a salary saver) (FD: $6,600 | DK: $6,800)
  2. Dallas Stars 2
    Robertson – Hintz – Gurianov (FanDuel: $13,800 | DraftKings: $13,500)
    – This line is the definition of what I look for in value plays. All three players are way underpriced, are playing on the strongest line on their team (top line hit the blender), all four players see time on the power play (Robertson, Heiskanen on PP1, Hintz and Gurianov on PP2), they’re matched up against one of the worst goalies and the worst defensive teams in the league and they’re all individually playing really well as of late. Not to mention they have one of the highest implied goal totals on the slate at 3.2.
(Hintz has a habit of deciding not to play 20 minutes before so make sure to check this discord to confirm that he is playing. When he plays, he’s excellent, in fact he’s second on his team in points per game with 16 points in 18 games this season)
Ideal Defensive Partner: Miro Heiskanen (FD: $4,600 | DK: $5,200)

Honorable Mention(s): Edmonton Oilers 1 (chalk), Toronto Maple Leafs 1 (chalk), Calgary Flames 1, Philadelphia Flyers 1

3/20 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Ilya Samsonov (FD: $8,600 | DK: $7,800)
  2. Jack Campbell (FD: $8,000 | DK: $8,200)

    Honorable Mention(s): Raanta, Khudobin

Worst

  1. Thomas Greiss (FD: $6,900 | DK: $6,600)
Honorable Mention(s): Miller, Husso, Hart, Dubnyk, Georgiev

3/20 NHL Wild Card Targets

Mario Ferraro (FD: $3,800 | DK: $3,000)
– The young Sharks forward is seeing top line minutes alongside Brent Burns and as of late has been producing well enough to prove to his coach that having him up there was the right decision. Furthermore, he’ll be up against the slumping Ville Husso of the St. Louis Blues, one of the goalies you should target tonight. With Ferraro as cheap as he is, he is definitely a DFS option and he is definitely a wild card!

Honorable Mention(s): Artemi Panarin, Martin Necas, Trevor Zegras, Jack Roslovic, Oliver Wahlstrom

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Winger Evander Kane

Winger Alexander Ovechkin

Defence Adam Fox (Consider Jakob Chychrun)

Goalie Ilya Samsonov (Consider Jack Campbell, not a lot of great goalie options tonight)

NHL Betting Picks Friday 3/19

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Friday 3/19. Another undefeated night for The Model. 3-0. Although none were easy, Tampa covered the puck line with an EN with 4 seconds left, the Ducks won in OT, and the Canes/Blue Jackets scored 5 and covered the under by 0.5. A little bit of luck is what you need sometimes.

On to the 5 game slate tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Capitals Money Line (-137) over the Rangers
  • Maple Leafs Money Line (-158) over the Flames
  • Canadiens Puck Line (-1.5, +130) over the Canucks
  • Sharks Puck Line (+1.5, -210) over the Blues
  • Kings Puck Line (+1.5, -175) over the Golden Knights

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight.

My Picks

Maple Leafs ML (-158): Just one play tonight. The Leafs are coming off a few days of rest and are getting Frederik Andersen back from injury tonight. The top team in their division with rest and as healthy as they have been all season. Look for them to handle their business against the Flames tonight.

NHL Betting Picks Thursday 3/18

Welcome to Keith’s NHL Betting Picks Thursday 3/18. Yet another undefeated night for The Model. The Jets were up 3-1 but the Habs got 2 quick ones to push it to overtime before Ehlers got the game winner for the Jets. The Oilers offense exploded to an easy 7-3 win over the Flames. Both plus money underdogs, we love to see that.

We have 10 games on the slate for tonight. Let’s take a look at the updated profitability and over win percentages for the teams playing today.

To interact with the dashboard click here.

Dashboard Edges

  • Penguins Money Line (-155) over the Devils
  • Bruins Money Line (-265) over the Sabres
  • Bruins/Sabres Under Goals (5.5, -127)
  • Panthers Money Line (-205) over the Predators
  • Hurricanes Money Line (-190) AND Puck Line (-1.5, +145) over the Blue Jackets
  • Blue Jackets/Hurricanes Under Goals (5.5, -108)
  • Red Wings Puck Line (+1.5, -165) over the Stars
  • Jets Money Line (+125) AND Puck Line (+1.5, -190) over the Oilers
  • Wild Puck Line (+1.5, -200) over the Avalanche
  • Ducks Puck Line (+1.5, -235) over the Coyotes

Keep an eye out for Starting Goalies tonight. The game to watch tonight will be the Wild and Avalanche. While I’m not putting any action on that game it should showcase 2 of the best teams in the league this season. Not to mention the Avs are getting Makar and Byram back on defense which should provide them a boost.

My Picks

Free Picks

Ducks ML +115: The Ducks and the Coyotes are relatively even teams this season, and the Ducks have a goaltending edge with Gibson projected against Hill. In their last 10 games the Coyotes are last in the league in Corsi For Percentage and Expected Goals Percentage. Last night worked well taking 2 dogs and we are hoping the dogs continue to bark tonight. UPDATE: Miller in net for Ducks, still like it but not as much.

Blue Jackets/Hurricanes Under Goals (5.5, -102): Both of these teams hit their overs at under 44% this season, Columbus specifically is only 16% on the road. Nedeljkovic has played well this year and Columbus has struggled to score which we why we like this under tonight.

Premium Pick

Lightning -1.5 (+106): The Lightning have had their way with Chicago this season sporting a record of 4-0-1. They have covered the puck line in only 2 of the 5 games, however Vasilevskiy is in net and the Lightning are +7.25u on the puck line as a favorite.
