The NFL DFS Divisional Round is about finding the best opportunities for guaranteed production with a high upside. Follow my stud and value GPP plays and lock in the NFL DFS Picks of Destiny.

David Jones won 100K on FanDuel! Read about it here!

David also won back-to-back GPPs!

NFL DFS Playoff Weekend Note: This week we have a two-game Saturday slate, a two-game Sunday slate, and a four-game Sat-Sun slate. The two games slates are basically a Showdown Slate without the MVP spot. I encourage you to not scramble your entire lineup by pivoting off all of the best plays. Instead, make a solid lineup and take a shot on one or two guys and/or defense. You will notice some of my NFL DFS punts are way off the radar. That’s what you have to do on such a small slate.

Please listen to Podcasts. The entire Win Daily Crew has broken down the slate on multiple podcasts. We get much deeper on those than we can on these articles.

I refer to FanDuel pricing.

Quarterbacks:

QB1: Lamar Jackson ($9,400 FD) He is expensive but he also has the highest floor and ceiling. It is not impossible to get him in your lineups. He is the NFL MVP and we all know why. He is my top guy.

QB2: Patrick Mahomes ($8,600 FD) While he has not been as elite as last year he is passing the eye test after sustaining an ankle injury early in the year. The Chiefs are coming off a “bye” and Andy Reid is fantastic in these situations (in the regular season). They are playing at home against the Houston Texans who rank 29th in NFL DFS pass defense.

QB Punt: Deshaun Watson ($8,300 FD) I am not as high on him as the other two guys, so that’s why I listed him as a punt. I think the Texans lose which means more throwing for Watson and he should have Will Fuller back (for at least part of the game). He ran 14 times last week and that just adds value to him and his arm. If I had 10 lineups, I would put him in one.

NFL DFS Running Backs

Stud RB 1: Aaron Jones ($8,200 FD) He should get 75% of the snaps in a very cold game in Green Bay that I think the Packers win. The offense runs through him, Rodgers and Adams. He is also involved in the passing game, which makes me like him on DraftKings as well.

Stud RB 2: Derrick Henry ($9,600 FD) He is priced high but that’s because he will probably run it over 20 times and he looks unstoppable right now.

Mid RB 1: Raheem Mostert ($6,700 FD) Way too cheap for the 49ers top RB. Easy NFL DFS play.

Mid RB 2: Damien Williams ($6,900 FD) He is the lead running back on a Chiefs team that I expect to role on Sunday. He is also involved in the passing game. I like players that can score in multiple ways.

Mid RB 3: Mark Ingram ($7,500 FD) Make sure he is playing, and not limited. He does not get as many touches as Henry or Jones but he can do a lot with a little less, especially in a game the Ravens should win easily. I don’t have a problem playing him with Lamar Jackson. It has worked several times this season.

NFL DFS Punt RB: Punt = high risk and high reward. Again, it’s a two or four-game slate, depending on what you choose. You are going to need to get weird on one or two plays.

Punt RB 1: Duke Johnson ($5,600 FD) I like him better on DraftKings in a play from behind game because of the PPR structure.

I will update again closer to Sunday. Be sure to check back.

NFL DFS Wide Receivers:

Stud WR: Devante Adams ($8,400 FD) Target Monster and Rodgers focuses heavily on the guys he trusts (which is not a lot). Easy play that should bust like Michael Thomas did last week.

Stud WR 2: Tyreek Hill ($7,900 FD) He is probably in the best spot of any receiver on the slate against the Texans. TyFreak can explode and the first game of the playoffs, at home against a bad defense feels like the right spot to attack.

NFL DFS Mid WR rankings:

Deebo Samuels ($6,100) He has been very steady the past month and a half and is priced too cheap.

Emanuel Sanders ($5,700 FD) I just want one 49ers receiver unless I have Jimmy G at QB. I prefer Samuels but I do like Sanders too. If you make two teams use one on each.

Tyler Lockett ($6,700 FD) He is the most talented receiver on the team, he is cheaper than Metcalf and they should be playing from behind. Makes sense right?

Punt WR Rankings: Marquise Brown, Willie Snead, Sammy Watkins, David Moore

NFL DFS Tight End Rankings

  1. Mark Andrews ($6,800 FD)
  2. Travis Kelce ($7,500 FD)
  3. George Kittle ($7,400 FD)
  4. Jimmy Graham ($5,000 FD)

Defense

  1. Ravens
  2. 49ers
  3. Chiefs
  4. Packers

NFL DFS Wild Card Weekend Note: This week we have a two game Saturday slate, a two game Sunday slate and a four game Sat-Sun slate. The two games slates are basically a Showdown Slate without the MVP spot. I encourage you to not scramble your entire lineup by pivoting off all of the best plays. Instead make a solid lineup and take a shot on one or two guys and/or a defense. You will notice some of my NFL DFS punts are way off the radar. Thats what you have to do on such a small slate.

I refer to FanDuel pricing.

Quarterbacks:

QB1: Josh Allen ($7,800 FD) One of my favorite quarterbacks of the year against the worst defense (in my opinion)on the four game slate in Houston. He runs, he throws, he hits value and is cheaper than Brees.

QB2: Drew Brees ($8,500 FD) Saints are going to slaughter the Vikings. The revenge will be real in New Orleans. If you don’t have Bree’s you have to play Kamara and/or the Saints defense.

QB Punt: Deshaun Watson ($8,100 FD) He always has upside but may be lower owned that he should because of his price and his dud performance last week. I respect the Bills defense a lot, but it’s a small slate and Watson has a high ceiling. No one expected him to put up 28 FD points on the Patriots and 30 on the Broncos in Denver the past month. He can do it again if he is on, he ranks third on my list.

NFL DFS Running Backs

Stud RB 1: Alvin Kamara ($8,200 FD) Saints win big. Refer to Bree’s write up above. You want a piece of this offense.

Stud RB 2: Derrick Henry ($9,300 FD) He is too big and too strong and too quick to get stopped even with the Patriots focused on him. If I were the Titans OC I would pound the hell out of the ball and try and keep Brady off the field. Henry will do his job for your NFL DFS lineups.

Mid RB 1: Devin Singletary ($6,200 FD)

Mid RB 2: James White ($6,200 FD)

Mid RB 3: Travis Homer ($6,100 FD) He is a better play on DK because of his pass catching ability. I expect low ownership on him.

NFL DFS Punt RB: Punt = high risk and high reward. Again, it’s a two or four game slate, depending on what you choose. You are going to need to get weird on one or two plays.

Punt RB 1: Duke Johnson ($5,600 FD) I like him better on DK

Punt RB 2: Marshawn Lynch ($5,900 FD) He is going to get a shot or two in the red zone to pound it in.

Punt RB 3: Rex Burkhead ($5,600 FD)

Note: I love Boston Scott if Miles Sanders is out or limited

I will update again closer to Sunday. Be sure to check back.

NFL DFS Wide Receivers:

Stud WR: Micheal Thomas ($8.900 FD) Obvious.

Stud WR 2: DeAndre Hopkins ($8,300 FD) Also Obvious. Fuller unlikely to play or contribute if he does.

Stud WR 3: Julian Edelman ($7,000 FD) Playoff Edelman is a thing.

Love all three of the studs. I am trying to get two of the three in most of my lineups and on my one main team.

NFL DFS Mid WR rankings:

John Brown ($6,500 FD) You throw to your best WR in the playoffs. Brown is that guy for the Bills and priced just slightly higher than Beasley (who is also a decent play).

Greg Ward ($5,600 FD) He is the Eagles top receiver and priced like their third best. I like him a lot, especially if Ertz is out or limited.

Adam Thielen ($6,200 FD) Better play on DraftKings. If (big if) he is healthy he is way underpriced for a team that will be playing from behind.

Punt WR Rankings: Kenny Stills, Tajae Sharpe, Phillip Dorsett, David Moore

NFL DFS Tight End Rankings

  1. Jared Cook ($6,500 FD)
  2. Dallas Goedert ($6,700 FD)
  3. Jacob Hollister ($5,700 FD)
  4. Jonnu Smith ($5,800 FD)
  5. Punt: Joshua Perkins ($5,500 FD)
  6. Deep Punt: Taysom Hill ($5,400 FD) This guys comes in and plays QB, RB, WR and TE and is listed at min price at the tight end postion. He has three touchdowns the past five weeks. Nobody respects this guy except Saints fans and myself and I still don’t understand why. Deep Punt.

Defense

  1. Saints
  2. Patriots
  3. Bills

Week 17 in NFL DFS is about finding the best opportunities for guaranteed production with a high upside. Follow my stud and value GPP plays and lock in the NFL DFS Picks of Destiny.

David Jones won 100K on FanDuel! Read about it here!

David also won back-to-back GPPs!

Quarterbacks:

QB1: Patrick Mahomes ($8,600 FD)

The Chiefs need to win this game. They are at home and get a terrible Chargers team to pick on. All of Mahomes receivers are healthy and all of his running backs catch passes. He has thrown two touchdowns in each of the past two games and has looked more comfortable scrambling since the ankle injury at the beginning of the season. The Chiefs are going to win the game and the offense will run entirely through Mahomes. He is my top NFL DFS QB this week.

QB2: Ryan Tannehill ($7,900 FD)

The Titans also need to win this game. Tannehill has been a terrific addition to the Tennessee offense since he took over. He is getting you 20 FD points a game pretty much and gets to go against an easy defensive backfield (which gives him more upside). The Titans win this game and if it isn’t Henry scoring, it’s Tannehill.

Pivot: Carson Wentz

Punt: Tom Brady

Running Backs

Studs: Aaron Jones, Ezekiel Elliot, Derrick Henry, CMC, Alvin Kamara, Nick Chubb

Each guy listed above has two touchdown upside and each of their teams has something to play for (with the exception of CMC who is chasing a receiving record). I am locking in three running backs on my FanDuel teams this week and getting cheap at wide receiver, when necessary. They are listed in order of preference.

Punt: Lat Murray (on non-Kamara teams), James White (Sony Questionable with illness)

I will update again closer to Sunday. Be sure to check back.

Wide Receiver

Stud WR: Micheal Thomas ($9,200 FD)

I like him more on DK because of the PPR structure but he is a great NFL DFS cash gameplay on either site. Last week he broke the single-season reception record and will just continue to put that record out of reach this Sunday in a game the Saints need to win. He is the most talented receiver in 2019 and should once again prove it against the Carolina Panthers who have nothing to play for aside from being Saints spoilers.

Stud Pivots: Davante Adams ($8,400 FD), Tyreek Hill ($8,200 FD)

Mid WR in order: Tyler Boyd ($6,600 FD), Courtland Sutton ($7,100 FD), Golden Tate ($5,900 FD)

Value Wide Receivers in order: Russel Gage ($5,300 FD), Greg Ward ($5,600 FD), Steven Sims Jr. ($6,000 FD), Justin Watson ($6,100 FD)

Tight End Rankings

  1. Travis Kelce ($7,500 FD)
  2. Dallas Goedert ($6,400 FD)
  3. Jonnu Smith ($5,800 FD)

Defense

  1. Patriots
  2. Steelers
  3. Chiefs

Week 17 DFS Running Back – Cash Game Plays

 Christian McCaffrey, CAR vs. NO

DK ($10,000)   FD ($11,000)

McCaffrey is the best fantasy RB in the game and has a chance to finish with over 1,000 yards this season for both rushing and receiving. He is only 67 yards short on the receiving end, so expect the Panthers to let him rack up the receptions and eclipse that mark. In a week with plenty of uncertainty, Panthers’ interim coach Perry Fewell has already stated he has no plans to pull CMC early in Week 17.

 Ezekiel Elliott, DAL vs.WAS

DK ($8,000)   FD ($8,700)

Zeke should be involved in the Cowboys offense early andoften, and while his workload and productionthis year haven’t been up to his usual standards, he’s still running theball well when given the chance. Just last week against a tough run defense,he had 20 touches and played on 97 percent of the snaps, rushing for 84 yards. Now he gets the lackluster Washington run defense (ranked 28th inthe NFL) in a game the Cowboys should win. He’s one of the top cash game plays forWeek 17.

Also consider:Joe Mixon, Nick Chubb

Week 17 DFS Running Back – GPP Plays

MarlonMack, IND at JAC

DK ($6,900)   FD ($7,300)

The Colts wrap up the season against the Jaguars, who have given up 5.14 yards per carry this season and more than 30 fantasy points a game to opposing runners – the second most in the NFL on both counts. This Jags defense allowed Mack to gash them for 109 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries in Week 11, and Mack’s 7.8 yards per attempt during that game ranks as the RB’s highest since Week 6 of 2017. He’s a great GPP play on a team that hasn’t been throwing it too well.

Sony Michel, NE vs. MIA

DK ($4,900)   FD ($6,500)

Michel should tear this Miami run defense to shreds, andhis price is obscenely low on DK. He’s a viable GPP play on both sits, however, and should have pretty low ownership on FD where he’s priced between PhillipLindsay and Damien Williams. I think his upside is a little higher than both thosecapable backs, even with the crowded backfield in New England, because he couldeasily rush for two or three TDs. We’ve been burned by him before, but if youcan stand a little risk, this feels like a big Michel week.

Also consider: Derrick Henry, Phillip Lindsay

Week 17 DFS Running Back – Contrarian GPP Plays

Saquon Barkley, NYG vs. PHI

DK ($8,700) FD ($9,300)

Barkley doesn’t have the best matchup on paper, but the Giants are using him an awful lot lately and he’s shown explosiveness that’s been missing for most of 2019, averaging 40.1 DraftKings points over his past two games. The volume is there, and the price is still affordable. I’m in love with Barkley as a low-owned contrarian play in a week that might have the DFS masses looking elsewhere.

Kenyan Drake, ARI at LAR

DK ($7,100)   FD (7,300)

Drake is coming off another monster game where he carried the ball 24 times for 166 yards and two TDs, adding 3-18-0 receiving in a stunning win over the Seahawks. He now looks to cap off an unexpectedly productive season in a Week 17 road game against the Rams. It’s not a great spot, but we’ve seen Drake rise to the occasion in a tough matchup before, and there’s a lot of free agency money at stake for him.

Also consider: Austin Ekeler, Devonta Freeman

Week 17 DFS Running Back – Value/Punt Plays

 Damien Williams, KCvs. LAC

DK ($4,700)   FD ($6,400)

Williams was the workhorse last week for the Chiefs and hegets a favorable home matchup against a faltering division rival. The Chargersallow 110.3 rushing yards per game, making Williams a high-upside play in aleading role.

Chris Thompson, WAS at DAL

DK ($3,900)   FD ($5,100)

Thompson got some involvement in the running game lastweek, carrying the ball eight times for 34 yards to go along with his usualpassing game role (4-18-0 on four targets). His skill set fits in nicely for thismatchup with the Cowboys, and we could see him get a lot more targets his wayin what should be a negative game script. The price is right on DK, but I’llstay away on FD.

Additional plays: Mike Boone, Kareem Hunt, Kerryon Johnson

Monkey Knife Fight DFS Picks of the Week

Goal: 47.5, Prize: 2x

I am looking at three RBs from this game to meet this modest total of 47.5 to pay 2x, including Joe Mixon, Nick Chubb, and Kareem Hunt. If you are skittish about playing three RBs from this game, feel free to mix in a WR for Chubb or Hunt, but I really like the volume of all these backs here.

Week 16 DFS RunningBack – Cash Game Plays

Christian McCaffrey, CAR atIND

DK ($10,100)   FD ($10,800)

McCaffrey resumes top dog cash game play of the week after a minorbobble of the crown in weeks 13 and 14. He posted his fourth-highest pointstotal of the season in Week 15 and is once again in a smash spot against astruggling Indy defense.

Chris Carson, SEA vs. ARI

DK ($8,500)   FD ($8,200)

Carson doesn’t have much competition for touches anymoreand remains a fire-breathing, yard-churning monster the Seattle backfield. Thematchup here checks all the boxes for favorable, including opponent, probable gamescript and home field, He had 133 rushing yards and two scores in Week 15, andthere’s nothing to prevent him form a similar stat line facing the Cards rundefense.

Also consider:Joe Mixon, Devonta Freeman

Week 16 DFS RunningBack – GPP Plays

Mark Ingram, BAL at CLE

DK ($6,800)   FD ($7,600)

I expect the Ravens to avenge the loss the Browns handed them earlier this season with heavy doses of Mark Ingram, who only had 12 cries and one catch in Week 4. Ingram cost $6,600 then and sputtered to just 9.1 DK points, but I’m expecting production twice that this week, as he should handle a few more red-zone touches and be part of the formula to put the game out of reach, The Browns defense is also pretty beat up.

Saquon Barkley, NYG at WAS

DK ($8,300) FD ($8,800)

Barkley’s price has come up, but it’s not outrageous yet – and Washingtonhasn’t had the pleasure of trying to stop Mr. Barkley yet this season. TheGiants were committed to getting him the ball in Week 15, and he responded with112 rushing yards and two scores (to go along with 5-31-0 receiving) and we canexpect positive results again this week. He’s fine for cash or GPP.

Also consider: Marlon Mack, Leonard Fournette, Alvin Kamara

Week 16 DFS RunningBack – Contrarian GPP Plays

Ezekiel Elliott, DAL at PHI

DK ($7,900)   FD ($8,700)

Elliott gashed the Eagles defense for 111 rushing yards and a score in Week 7 and now faces them in a game that likely decides who wins the NFC East and sends the winner to the playoffs. Although the Eagles defense is usually more vulnerable to the passing game, even Jason Garrett can’t screw this up by eliminating the Zeke factor. It’s not a perfect spot for Zeke, but that’s usually when he surprises you with a monster game by catching a few extra passes and mixing in some big plays.

Austin Ekeler, LAC vs. OAK

DK ($6,100)   FD (6,800)

Once again, we have a week where nobody is talking about Austin Ekeler, despite a favorable matchup against a division rival that could keep the game close. Last week, Ekeler still managed 10 fantasy points despite low usage and I’m betting he can thump the Raiders with a couple of game-breaking runs or catches. Ekeler’s Kamara-light skillset gives you a huge discount and about the same upside.

Also consider: Aaron Jones, Kenyan Drake

Week 16 DFS RunningBack – Value/Punt Plays

Melvin Gordon, LAC vs. OAK

DK ($5,600)   FD ($7,000)

If it’s not Ekeler, it’ll be Gordon, who’s actually cheaper on DraftKings because of the PPR factor. Melvin stands to get a few extra goal-line/red zone carries this week and the Chargers, in general, should be in a good spot to score a few extra points facing a battered Raiders defensive unit. I’m less interested in FanDuel but his price on DK is a bargain.

Kerryon Johnson, DET at DEN

DK ($4,900)   FD ($4,500)

Johnson just got activated, so this isn’t aplay for the faint of heart. But the Lions RB has been practicing the past fewweeks and hasn’t experienced any setbacks, and he regularly occupied the 10-20 fantasypoint range when he was healthy. You’re getting low ownership and a solid price(minimum on FD) on a back who could be in for a workhorse role in Week 16.

Additional plays: Phillip Lindsay, Patrick Laird, Dion Lewis (if Derrick Henry sits)

Monkey Knife Fight DFS Picks of the Week

Click Here to Play and Get 100 Percent Bonus!

Goal 48.5, Prize: 2x

This game should feature plenty of offense and both RBs should be in your MKF bets for this one, so pair Joe Mixon and Patrick Laird with DeVante Parker.

NFL DFS Week 16 GPP Picks Of Destiny

Week 16 in NFL DFS is about finding the best opportunities for guaranteed production with a high upside. Follow my stud and value GPP plays and lock in the NFL DFS Picks of Destiny.

David Jones won 100K on FanDuel! Read about it here!

David also won back-to-back GPPs!

Quarterbacks:

Stud: Lamar Jackson ($9,300 FD)

The MVP frontrunner goes against the Cleveland Browns. There isn’t a concern with the Ravens sitting Lamar (that’s next week). Baltimore is still playing for the top seed in the AFC and will their offense will be a full go. Jackson is your cash game quarterback and possesses the highest upside for GPP’s. 25 FD points are his floor with 30+ upside in NFL DFS. He runs, he throws, he’s perfect. Easy lock as the top guy.

Pivot: Russell Wilson

Mid QB: Phillip Rivers ($7,500 FD)

If there was ever a time for Rivers to bounce out of his funk, it is against the Oakland Raiders. They have given up. They got embarrassed last week in the Black Hole finale and I think that was the last straw. Rivers is the quarterback of my favorite receiver (Keenan Allen) and low owned pass-catching running back (Austin Ekeler), so I have to like Rivers. The Raiders are sneaking up on the Arizona Cardinals as the worst pass defense in the league. They have given up 32 TDs on the season and show give up a minimum of two more here (I think we get more).

Mid Pivot: Matt Ryan

Punt: Drew Lock

Running Backs

Stud RB: Marlon Mack ($7,300 FD)

Welcome to Marlon Mack island. You may have drafted him in season-long with high expectations and he has let you down. Well if you are in your Championship this week, lock him in. The best team to target with running backs is the Carolina Panthers. We have been doing it for two months. We did it with Chris Carson last week and it worked out great so why would we stop now when we have a bell cow going against them at extremely low ownership? The Panthers have given up 26 touchdowns this season (seven more than the next closest team). He is going to be on my main NFL DFS team this week.

Stud Pivot: Alvin Kamara, Saquon Barkley, Mark Ingram

Mid RB: Joe Mixon ($7,800 FD)

The Dolphins have been making opposing offensive players look like studs all season. They resurrected Saquan Barkley last week and now it is Joe Mixon’s turn. He has run for over 136 yards in each of the past two games and three touchdowns in the last four. He is peaking right now and there is no reason to believe that it going to stop against one of the best defenses to target in the NFL. Get some Mixon, and don’t feel so dirty about it this week in NFL DFS.

Mid Pivot: Austin Ekeler (love him as a sneaky Pro Bowl snub against the Oakland Raiders. I am taking a big shot on him this week, especially on DraftKings.), Devonte Freeman

Value RB Pivot: DeAndre Washington, Patrick Laird (DK)

I will update again closer to Sunday. Be sure to check back.

Wide Receiver

Stud WR: Keenan Allen ($6,700 FD)

Load up, it’s Keenan Allen week. Go read the Phillip Rivers write up on why we want to target the Oakland Raiders. Perfect spot and the perfect price.

Stud Pivots: Michael Thomas (cash), Julio Jones, TY Hilton, Tyler Lockett (price a little high, but in a good spot)

Mid WR: DK Metcalf ($6,300 FD)

Although the Raiders are closing in, the Arizona Cardinals are still (by the numbers) the best defense to target with wide receivers. Metcalf has a significantly cheaper price tag than Tyler Lockett and gets basically the same volume and redone targets. It’s Week 16, we don’t have to keep reinventing the wheel in NFL DFS. In the next couple of weeks, I am going after what has proven to work the entire season.

Pivots: Michael Gallup, Courtland Sutton, Tyler Boyd (I usually like him just at home, but he is way too cheap), Terry McLaurin, Mike Williams (on non-Keenan Allen teams), DeVante Parker

NFL DFS Punt Wide Receivers: Russel Gage (love), Danny Amendola (DK), John Ross (huge punt)

Tight End Rankings

  1. Jacob Hollister (tight ends against the Arizona Cardinals win almost every week)
  2. Austin Hooper
  3. Mark Andrews
  4. Hunter Henry
  5. Jared Cook

Defense

  1. Steelers
  2. Ravens
  3. Broncos
  4. Colts
  5. Saints

I will tweet out when there are NFL DFS updates. Be sure to follow me @tenaciousdjones on Twitter so you don’t miss out!

Week 11 DFS Running Back – Cash Game Plays

ChristianMcCaffrey, CAR at GB

DK ($10,500)  FD ($10,500)

Cash or GPP, CMC is King, and the price remains unchanged from last week. He gets days off during the week for maintenance, but by Thursday he’s practicing fully so he can smash on Sunday. I don’t need to justify this anymore, do I? He’s the safest play and has the most upside, so use the guy – just find a way to get him in your lineups.

Dalvin Cook, MIN vs. DEN

DK ($8,900)   FD ($8,600)

Cook gets over 20 carries per game and is just a notch below McCaffrey in terms of floor and upside – but still worth of clicking into your cash game lineups and GPPs. Find your value plays at WR, TE and flex this week and just lock both guys in. The Denver defense doesn’t play nearly as well on the road and they’ve been surprisingly mediocre against the run this season – so stopping Cook will be a challenge.

Week 11 DFS Running Back – GPP Plays

Ezekiel Elliot, DAL at DET

DK ($8,900)   FD($8,400)

It’s s great matchup and the Cowboys clearly want to run theball more – so this could easily end up being Zeke’s best game of 2019 so far.He has 35-40 point upside on DK and the Lions defense gives up the most fantasypoints in the league to opposing RBs.

Alvin Kamara, NO at TB

DK ($7,400)   FD ($7,800)

Since Kamara isn’t a prototypical rusher, I’m totally coolwith rolling him out against the league’s toughest run defense, especiallysince it’s also the league’s worst pass defense! Kamara had a rough go of itlast time around and that should keep the masses from clicking his name inGPPs. I’m going right back to the well – because he’ll be instrumental in the Saintsshredding of the Bucs, and that price has come down to a very reasonable place.

Josh Jacobs, OAK vs. CIN

DK ($6,900)   FD ($8,000)

Jacobs has been playing through a shoulder injury and it’s worth monitoring his status on Sunday, but the guy is a workhorse for Oakland and a huge part of their success this season. His combined targets and carries each game have fallen below 19 only once since Week 4, and the Q tag could keep folks off him in GPPs – even against a pitiful Bengals defense. Win Daily Sports expert David Jones noted in his GPP Picks of Destiny that Jacobs he has gone over 100 yards in three of his last five games with five touchdowns in that span, and I firmly agree with his assessment of Jacobs as a mid-range GPP option.

Mark Ingram, BAL vs. HOU

DK ($6,600)   FD ($7,500)

The Ravens can beat you many ways, but Ingram still makessense as a high-upside GPP play with some amount of risk – but not enough to keepyou from cashing if he has a ho-hum game. He’s not my favorite RB option thisweek and the number of touches he gets per game is a little low for my liking, buthe’s someone to consider as a pivot if Jacobs’ shoulder keeps him from playing.

Devin Singletary, BUF at MIA

DK ($6,000)   FD ($6,500)

The rookie RB was a disappointment last week but has a favorablematchup in Week 11. He’s one of the best GPP plays on the slate given hisupside, talent and the recency bias of the letdown to DFS owners in Week 10.

Also consider: Le’Veon Bell (illness), Phillip Lindsay

Week 11 DFS Running Back – Contrarian GPP Plays

Leomard Fournette, JAC at IND

DK ($7,900)   FD ($7,200)

Priceand matchup will keep Fournette from being heavily owned this week, but he’s ina sneaky spot if the Jags decide to limit the number of throws that Nick Foles makesin his first game back. It’s not a heavy exposure opportunity, but mixingFournette into a few low-stakes, large-field multi-entry GPPs shouldn’t be abad decision.

Tevin Coleman, SF vs. ARI

DK ($6,100)   FD ($6,700)

Coleman ducked out of practice due to a personal matter on Thursday, so he may not make the initial builds of the GPP masses heading into the weekend. It’s hard to speculate at this point if he’ll be available or if his head will be in the game, but there’s no injury to speak of and both Matt Breida (ankle, doubtful) and Raheem Mostert (knee) are dealing with some issues. Stay tuned and don’t rule him out of DFS viability in this favorable matchup just yet.

Also consider: Marlon Mack, Joe Mixon

Week 11 DFS Running Back – Value/Punt Plays

Sony Michel, NE at PHI

DK ($4,900)   FD ($6,300)

Michel is just too cheap on DK and despite coming off hisseason-low of four carries in Week 9, I expect the Patriots to go back to whatworks following their bye week – which means 15-20 carries for Michel and multi-TDupside. He’s a fine play in Week 11.

Brian Hill, ATL at CAR

DK ($4,800)   FD ($5,900)

Hill is the only show in town for Atlanta in Week 11 and the matchup is a decent one on paper. I worry about a letdown after his big week, as the Falcons could easily fall behind and abandon the running game, peppering both Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley with targets, but the absence of Austin Hooper has to help Hill’s usage as a receiving option on dump-offs. Tenacious D even says in his GPP column that “Hill is going to step in for the injured Devonte Freeman and get around 20 touches and a couple targets through the air” and I’m with him that the 24-year-old back stands a good shot of finding paydirt.

J.D. McKissic, DET vs. DAL

DK ($4,600)   FD ($5,800)

He’s probably too expensive on FD because of his reliance on the passing game and the Dallas run defense, which looked decent up until they encountered Dalvin Cook in Week 10. He’s got opportunity and game script on his side, and he could get a few more targets (season-high seven last week) with Matthew Stafford ruled out again and Jeff Driskel set to fill in at QB.

Kalen Ballage, MIA vs. BUF

DK ($4,300)   FD ($5,300)

Ballage is still cheap and getting lots of usage but arelatively quiet game in Week 10 (20 carries for 43 yards, 4-2-0 on four targetsreceiving), but head coach Brian Flores said Wednesday that the Dolphins willcontinue to lean heavily on him as their lead option out of the backfield. Thebills defense hasn’t been great recently and Ballage is a near lock for 15-20touches.

Additional plays: Miles Sanders, Ty Montgomery (only if Bell is OUT)

Monkey Knife Fight Picks of the Week

Pick the Players that will get the most Fantasy Points

Goal: 68.5, Prize: 3x

Lets go with Christian McCaffrey, Brian Hill and D.J. Moore, who could all go for 20+ Fantasy Points, with McCaffrey a regular threat to eclipse 40. At that rate, I am comfortable locking in the 2x bet all day and going for a little more at 3x considering the upside here. I wanted to include two RBs because its an article about that, so if you are skittish about Hill you can always use Julio Jones.

Week 10 DFS Running Back – Cash Game Plays

ChristianMcCaffrey, CAR atGB

DK ($10,500)  FD ($10,500)

The Panthers have been limiting McCaffrey’s practiceworkload, but the stud RB’s Week 10 status is not in doubt following a coupleof maintenance days. Fantasy’s No. 1 running back in every aspect, he has a favorablematchup facing a Packers defense that’s been a sieve to running back production.Lock this man in for your cash games and any other formats you see fit.

Saquon Barkley, NYG at NYJ

DK ($8,800)   FD ($8,600)

Barkley gets a great matchup vs. the Jets (who allow 18-20fantasy points to RBs, on average) and remains the consensus No. 1 or 2 fantasyRB heading into Week 10. He’s involved in the entire offense and sees upwardsof 8-10 targets each week – making him a lock for double-digit production evenwithout the running game clicking.

Derrick Henry, TEN vs. KC

DK ($6,400)   FD ($7,000)

If you’re averse to spending top dollar at both RB spots incash, Henry offers a considerable discount from the aforementioned backs andhas nearly as much upside against a Chiefs defense that’s among the worst inthe NFL at defending RBs.

Week 10 DFS Running Back – GPP Plays

Alvin Kamara, NO vs. ATL

DK ($8,200)   FD ($8,300)

Saints head coach Sean Payton had already noted that Kamara would return following his two-game absence, but on Thursday the electric RB practiced in full, putting him higher on my list of GPP plays for Week 10. Latavius Murray will still get work and his excellent performance in Kamara’s stead, and has earned a touch more standalone work, but Kamara is a special player who can take over a game and should eviscerate the Falcons defense. He won’t see the ownership of Barkley or McCaffrey, making him a better tournament play in Saints stacks with Drew Brees and Michael Thomas.

Mark Ingram, BAL at CIN

DK ($7,100)   FD ($8,000)

Ingram is one of many options for the Ravens who could blowup in this game, so I’m not too high on him for cash games, but he makes an excellentGPP play because of the opponent  (theBengals rank around the third-worst in terms of passing and running defenseDVOA), and his ability to run for over 100 yards. I won’t be at fullexposure, but I should be ahead of the field.

David Montgomery, CHI vs. DET

DK ($5,300)   FD ($6,400)

Montgomery is finally having the type of production we expectedhim to earlier in the season, in part because Matt Nagy is using him properly. Montgomery has seen 48 touches over the last two gamesand has now totaled 16 or more touches in five of the last seven games. That workhorserole means his favorable matchup with the Lions means he’s a lock for top 10-15fantasy production, with Top 5 upside. He’s part of my core plays at RB in GPPs,even though he might get chalky.

Marlon Mack, IND vs. MIA

DK ($7,000)   FD ($7,400)

Mack makes for a great GPP ply against a poor opponent thisweek, and we could expect maybe a little lower ownership because of the high price.Without the cake matchup, he wouldn’t have nearly as much upside as the playershe’s priced alongside, but the Dolphins yield the most points to fantasy RBsand the Colts should be more ground-focused if it’s Brian Hoyer under center.

Also consider: DeVonta Freeman, Jaylen Samuels, Jamaal Williams, Damien Williams

Week 10 DFS Running Back – Contrarian GPP Plays

Le’Veon Bell, NYJ vs. NYG

DK ($6,900)   FD ($6,900)

TheGiants run defense is getting better, but they still have major issues. TheJets do too, but I think we’re in the clear with Bell moving forward, as the tradedeadline has come and gone and he’s the best man for the job despite his 3.3YPC this season. He had a brief injury scare at the beginning of the week, butthe MRI revealed nothing significant and he’s supposed to go on Sunday. Staytuned, but consider him as a contrarian play with plenty of upside on bothsites.

David Johnson, ARI at TB

DK ($5,700)   FD ($6,800)

Johnson presents as a very high risk, moderate-to-high rewardand I can’t imagine he’ll be on everybody’s list of top plays, so most will beunderweight on him. So if you’re trying to take down a large-field GPP, he’s wortha look as a low-owned option with plenty of upside. The Bucs have the NFL’stop-ranked run defense, but the Cards spread the field and run the football, soexpect some plays drawn up for Johnson to get some easy completions from KylerMurray and rack up the points. A much safer play on DK because of the full-PPRand nicer price.

Nick Chubb, CLE vs. BUF

DK ($7,000)   FD ($8,100)

After a relatively disappointing week at Denver, Chubb could be off the radar for most owners, especially with Kareem Hunt finally available as a change of pace back. He has a tough matchup, but after seeing him rush for 131 yards on 20 carries against the Patriots, I think his results depend more on game flow, big plays and goal line opportunities. The Bills defense hasn’t been wonderful the past couple of weeks and has shown itself to be more vulnerable against the run. If the Browns don’t get behind by multiple TDs, we could see heavy doses of Chubb and enough production to warrant his usage in some GPPs.

Also consider: Todd Gurley, Joe Mixon, Ty Johnson

Week 10 DFS Running Back – Value/Punt Plays

Devin Singletary, BUF at CLE

DK ($5,000)   FD ($6,700)

The rookie RB is coming into his own, with scores inconsecutive weeks and a season-high 20 carries vs. Washington in Week 9. He’sone of the best value plays of the slate and makes sense as a flex play in cashgames and one of your core plays in GPPs.

J.D. McKissic, DET

DK ($4,300)   FD ($5,600)

He’s an option because he outperformed Ty Johnson last weekand could be seeing a larger workload against the Bears. There’s plenty of riskin this matchup, but McKissic gained 32 yards on just four carries in Week 9and should have the requisite opportunities to make an impact as a pass-catcher.

Kalen Ballage, MIA at IND

DK ($3,800)   FD ($4,600)

With Miami’s Bad Boy (teammate Mark Walton) slated to servea four-game suspension, the enigmatic and dynamic Ballage figures to see anexpanded role in Dolphins offense. It’s a team – as a whole – that doesn’talways allow for the most favorable game flows and a commitment to the running game, but Ballage is cheap and has given us monster games before. He’s in a spot todominate the touches in the backfield in Week 10.

Additional plays: Giovani Bernard, Kareem Hunt

Monkey Knife Fight Picks of the Week

Pick the Players what will get the most Fantasy Points

Goal: 54.5, Prize: 2x

Saquon Barkley, Le’Veon Bell and Golden Tate

Going with the RB theme, we can start both RBs in the Giants-Jets game, as both should have plenty of opportunities ion both the running and passing game on Sunday. Pairing them with PPR maven WR Golden Tate could help you get 2x or more on your bet.

Week 9 DFS Running Back – Cash Game Plays

Dalvin Cook, MIN at KC

DK ($9,500)   FD ($9,000)

Cook has as much upside as any fantasy RB in football, excluding maybe Christian McCaffrey (more on him later), with the highestfloor. He’s the top play this week in cash games and despite the huge price tagand ownership, he’s worth a look in all formats. Lock the dude in against a badrun defense and what should be a high-scoring, relatively closely-matched affair.

Chris Carson, SEA vs. TB

DK ($7,200)   FD ($8,200)

Carson has just one TD and one target last week but rushed for 90 yards and remains an affordable, elite fantasy RB with plenty of upside. There’s a chance the Seahawks throw a bit more this week facing a Bucs defense that’s vulnerable in its secondary, but that’s not keeping me away from one the most consistent value plays in the game.

Week 9 DFS Running Back – GPP Plays

Christian McCaffrey, CAR vs.TEN

DK ($10,000)  FD ($9,700)

McCaffrey was limited at practice due to a knee injury, but Ron Rivera said he’s not concerned, so should we be? I may not be playing him a $10,000 on DK in too many cash games, but the “injury” and the price could keep a few more folks from clicking his name in GPPs. He’s still involved in all aspects of the Carolina offense, and is on track for another 5-10 targets and 20+ fantasy points, even if he’s not 100 percent.

Josh Jacobs, OAK vs. DET

DK ($6,500)   FD ($7,200)

The Lions run defense isn’t wonderful, and Jacobs gets aton of touches. Huis ownership could be down coming off a poor showing atHouston and the big red “Q” that’s next to his name right now because he was listedas a limited participant at Wednesday’s practice. But Jacobs played through whatevershoulder issue he’s been having last week, and there have been no reportedsetbacks in that game. I’m guessing the team is just limiting his practice repsin advance of this weekend’s matchup against Detroit, which is just fine.

Le’Veon Bell, NYJ at MIA

DK ($7,700)   FD ($7,000)

Here’s where things could get a little dicey, but alsoprofitable. The Dolphins defense is no match for a healthy, engaged Bell, andeven dumb-bucket Jets head coach Adam Gase knows it. Gase blames himself forBell getting only 12 touches in Sunday’s pathetic 29-15 loss to the Jaguars, andspent this week trying to trade everyone under the sun before copping to hismiscues. I do think that since he couldn’t trade Bell (which he can’t now, sothere’s no reason to limit his usage) he’ll give him a full complement oftouches and Bell should see plenty of opportunity to pay off his price tag onboth sites.

Nick Chubb, CLE at DEN

DK ($7,300)   FD ($8,100)

Chubb rushed for 131 yards on 20 carries against thePatriots, a notoriously tough defense to run on. This week, he gets the Broncos, who are not as good, in a contest that should be a lot closer and require justas much running from the former Georgia Bulldog. He should also have more usagein the passing game (26 targets over six weeks before last week’s one-target debacle)and probably won’t fumble twice in Denver. Jump on this under-the-radar talentin GPPs.

Marlon Mack, IND at PIT

DK ($6,300)   FD ($6,900)

Mack ran for 76 yards and a score on 19 carries, adding a14-yard catch during Sunday’s 15-13 battle over Denver (which followed a slowweek against the Texans), and he faces a decent Steelers run defense this timearound. Again – he sees a lot of touch volume and won’t draw large ownershiplevels in GPPs. The price came up slightly but I’m buying this week.

Jaylen Samuels, PIT vs. IND

DK ($4,000)   FD ($5,000)

James Connor is still dinged up and questionable for Sunday’s game, while Samuels practiced fully on Wednesday and looks like he could be the bell cow if Connor and Benny Snell are both on the shelf against Indy. His ownership will be sky-high if both those Steelers RBs are inactive, but it’ll be worth it for the role he’ll have – along with the 20-25 point upside.

Also consider: Phillip Lindsay (wrist), Aaron Jones (shoulder),Derrick Henry, Jamaal Williams

Week 9 DFS Running Back – Contrarian GPP Plays

Austin Ekeler, LAC vs. GB

DK ($6,000)   FD ($6,500)

I’ll never understand why coaches like Anthony Lynn getaway from the guys who have been successful, but such is the case. Giving Ekelerjust three carries and three targets would have been a bigger story had the Chargerslost (and they should have), but we can guess that he’ll have a larger workloadthis week, where the shifty back should dominate the backfield touches againstan opponent that could jump out to a lead. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a negativegame script for Ekeler to succeed, so I’ll be using him once again in GPPs forhis massive upside – even if he continues to split with the less versatile MelvinGordon.

Ty Johnson, DET at OAK

DK ($4,900)   FD ($5,500)

This play is not for the faint of heart, and it’s going tobe tough to click his name after what happened in Week 8. I know – I feel you.But Tough Guy Ty was on everybody’s list last week for a reason. He’s got a fewthings going against him this week, but his ownership will be a fraction of whatit was a week ago, and we have to take some contrarian chances in DFS.

Also consider: Jordan Howard, LeSean McCoy, Damien Williams,Tarik Cohen

Week 9 DFS Running Back – Value/Punt Plays

David Montgomery, CHI at PHI

DK ($5,200)   FD ($6,600)

Montgomery had his breakout game last week (27 carries, 135rushing yards, TD; 4-12-0 receiving) as we profiled him in this same “valueplay” section. The price has come up a bit, but he’s still a veritable bargain andfaces an Eagles defense that’s only slightly better than the Chargers.

Devin Singletary, BUF vs. WAS

DK ($4,700)   FD ($6,100)

The Bills are at home facing Washington this week, and they’reeager to shake off the display they put on against the Eagles. Expect a lot moretouches coming to Singletary as the team finds more ways to get him the ball.

Royce Freeman, DEN vs. CLE

DK ($4,900)   FD($5,700)

Freeman could see an increased workload this week if PhillipLindsay (wrist) can’t play, and the matchup against the Browns is a juicy one.

Mark Walton, MIA vs. NYJ

DK ($4,500)   FD ($5,700)

With Kenyan Drake off to Arizona, Walton has taken over aslead back for Miami. While he didn’t find much running room against theSteelers on Monday night, he has a solid matchup against the Jets’ porous rundefense in Week 9.

Additional plays: Tra Carson, Frank Gore, Chris Thompson (toe)

Monkey Knife Fight Picks of the Week

Pick the Players that will get the most Fantasy Points

Goal: 65.5, Prize: 2x — D. Cook, L. Bell & M. Mack

These three RBs have solid matchups and are poised to have big days. It’s an RB article, so I restricted my MKF picks here to RBs. Mix in a WR if you’re not feeling an all-RB crew!

Week 8 DFS Running Back – CashGame Plays

Christian McCaffrey, CAR at SF

DK ($9,200)   FD($9,600)

McCaffrey benefits from a week off and continued involvementin all aspects of the Carolina offense, and the absence of Cam Newton means he’llget most of the goal line carries as well. The top RB play in any format – evenagainst a tough 49ers run defense – McCaffrey should see 5-10 targets and score20+ fantasy points even if he doesn’t break out with a monster game.

Saquon Barkley, NYG at DET

DK ($8,900)   FD ($8,600)

Barkley checks in at 1B when it comes to fantasy upside forWeek 8. He was a full participant in Thursday’s practice at is coming off aWeek 7 return which saw him net 80 total yards against the Cards. This week, hefaces the second-worst fantasy defense vs. RBs and should have his ay with the Lionsin Detroit’s Ford Field.

Leonard Fournette, JAC at NYJ

DK ($7,800)   FD ($7,700)

If you want to save a little cash from the top plays I’drecommend landing on Fournette, who has at least 20 carries (29, 23, 20, 29) ineach of his last four games and regular scores 15-30 fantasy points. Bolsteredby his contributions to the passing game and a great matchup against the Jets,Fournette’s fantasy upside may exceed both Barkley and McCaffrey in Week 8.

Week 8 DFS Running Back – GPPPlays

Todd Gurley, LAR vs. CIN

DK ($7,400)   FD ($7,400)

Todd Gurley played just 46-of-75 snaps (60.5%) in the Week7 win over the Falcons, so he’s a considerable risk if he keeps such a low workload. But there’s plenty of upside for the Rams lead back against a Bengals team that’sworst in the league versus fantasy RBs. Malcolm Brown has already been ruledout, so I’ll have plenty of exposure to Gurley with some shares of rookierunning back Darrell Henderson as the complementary option.

Chris Carson, SEA at ATL

DK ($7,000)   FD ($8,000)

After three straight 100-yard rushing performances, Carsonwas held in check against a tough Ravens’ defense, but he’s a good bet for asolid bounce-back game facing the Falcons. Don’t overthink this. You’ll be gladyou played him in GPPs as part of your core builds. He’s viable for cash gameson DK and is a better GPP play on FD where his price is a bit elevated.

Chase Edmonds, ARI at NO

DK ($6,200)   FD ($6,100)

David Johnson is a game-time decision, but we’re to going tolet that cloud our decision to play Edmonds. Johnson was active vs. the Giantsbut saw just one carry. Edmonds has at least 14 DK points in three games in arow, and although this is a tougher road matchup, he’s on my radar.

Marlon Mack, IND vs. DEN

DK ($6,100)   FD ($6,800)

Mack had trouble getting into open space against the Texans, but the passing game was really clicking, so they didn’t need his normal groundand pound approach. He rushed 18 times for 44 yards and caught all three of histargets for 12 more in the Week 7 win and has a better matchup at home vs. theBroncos. I’m not expecting huge ownership levels which makes him a good buy forGPPs.

Derrick Henry, TEN vs. TB

DK ($6,000)   FD ($6900)

A usually efficient runner with plenty of upside, Henry didn’t get loose against the Chargers last week but did tally at least 20 carries for the third time in his last four games. With the Titans offense looking better with Ryan Tannehill under center, I’m counting on fewer eight-in-the-box looks against this offense and more of Henry’s emblematic “jailbreak” TD runs against TB.

Also consider: Phillip Lindsay, Tevin Coleman, James White (DK)

Week 8 DFS Running Back – ContrarianGPP Plays

Austin Ekeler, LAC at CHI

DK ($5,900)   FD ($6,800)

If this ends up being a negative script game, we could see theChargers using a lot more of Ekeler in space, run or pass, than Gordon. He’shad just one dud so far this season, which was Week 6 against Pittsburgh when everythingwent out the window very early in the Chargers’ game plan. He has two games inhis past three outings with at least seven catches, so I have more interest inDK with the full point PPR, especially with the Bears are among the leagueleaders in receptions allowed to running backs this year with 45.

Nick Chubb, CLE at NE

DK ($6,600)   FD ($7,700)

Nick Chubb gets the Patriots this week, who have allowedzero touchdowns to running backs thus far, and very few RBs are even worthstarting in New England. But Chubb is a special back, could get a few catches, and he’ll have very low ownership. I think he might be worth a look inlarge-field GPPs as a contrarian play.

Also consider: Le’Veon Bell, Latavius Murray (if Kamara isout), Joe Mixon

Week 8 DFS Running Back – Value/PuntPlays

Royce Freeman, DEN at IND

DK ($5,500)   FD ($5,700)

Freeman is becoming a decent DFs option, especially on DK.He has at least 12 PPR points in each of his past two games against Tennesseeand Kansas City, and he has at least four catches in five of his past sixoutings.

Sony Michel, NE vs. CLE

DK ($5,200)   FD ($6,500)

Michel is always risky, especially in PPR, since a lot of thepasses head to WRs and James White.  IfRex Burkhead (foot) plays this week, that makes the decision even tougher. ButMichel’s getting more work in this offense and has now scored a touchdown infour of his past six games. He’s also facing a putrid Browns defense this weekthat allows the third-most rushing yards per game at 154.

Ty Johnson, DET vs. NYG

DK ($4,900)   FD ($5,200)

Ty Johnson should get most of the touches now that KerryonJohnson is on the IR. He’ll share some of the passing game work with J.D.McKissic, who makes sense as a dart-throw punt in large-field GPPs as well, butwe much prefer TYJ facing a Giants defense that has allowed eight running backsto either score or gain at least 100 total yards this season.

David Montgomery, CHI vs. LAC

DK ($4,400)   FD ($5,700)

Montgomery has been an overwhelming bust in 2019, includingthe past two games against Oakland and New Orleans when he rushed for acombined 31 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries, adding 3-24-0. If he can getinto an offensive groove and find his feet a bit against the Chargers (a team thatstruggles to stop the run), we could see a breakout.

Additional plays: Tarik Cohen, Devin Singletary, LeSean McCoy

Monkey Knife Fight Pick of the Week

Touchdown Dance — Pick the Players that will get the most Total TDs

Goal: 2.50, Prize: 2x

I’m going Todd Gurley, Leonard Fournette and Chris Carson and taking the lock at 2x, but I feel like two of these guys are going to get two TDs each, so the 20x bet is awful tempting.
