10/13 League of Legends DFS Breakdown: Worlds Edition

Welcome to my 10/13 League of Legends DFS Breakdown: Worlds Edition. I am looking to continue our success from yesterday’s slate with our top recommended stack of RNG/PSG. Let’s see what matches we have today to bring about a chance of repeating our success today. RNG vs HLE, LNG vs MAD, FPX vs RGE, PSG vs FNC, TL vs GEN, DK vs C9 EDG vs DFM, and T1 vs 100T. Luckily for us, I believe we have another straightforward pato to cashing today and I am excited to get into this slate for you guys.

RNG vs HLE

Our first match on the day and a game for us that I am looking to target in cash with the use of RNG and sprinkle in some GPP usage for RNG. They have still looked very impressive in their play with them being able to fully unlock their team by putting Cryin on roaming mid laners to get around to the map and assist with the other lanes and the jungler to make proactive plays. HLE is going to be once again playing through their mid laner in Chovy who currently owns and operated the church of Chovy who controls the lane phase in his matches and will hold a farm gap over whoever he will be against in lane. The downside of HLE is that he is the extent of their good play and I expect the rest of RNG to roll over HLE and take a semi bloody victory here.

LNG vs MAD

We have our second match is what is by far and way the most balanced of our groups at world with this matchup between LNG and MAD. MAD looked very impressive today against GEN G being able to pull off the upset win in a super late game that relied heavily on team fight capabilities. LNG on the other hand showed how dominant they are able to be against inferior competition in their match against TL. They were able to almost pull off the perfect game in complete domination in terms of kills, map pressure, and team fighting. Now, this is going to be a matchup between one of the best if not the best team fighters in MAD and a solid all-around team in LNG. The matchup that I am really excited for here is the one we are getting between Ale and Armut, two of the best top laners we have at worlds. I am expecting Ale to be able to top Armut and possibly even bring his own pick of Wukong against him but this will be close all around. Icon also needs to play in his form from today again for LNG to have a chance here, he improved a lot on his performance from the first match against GEN and BDD. LNG is going to end up taking the advantage early and if they are able to hold off MAD’s team fighting its going to be heavily favored for LNG, I expect a scrappy match here with the possibility to be very bloody. I am taking LNG to win in GPP.

FPX vs RGE

I am going to have a very unpopular opinion on this game and one that is probably wrong for that reason but I really think RGE is going to be able to walk in here and take care of business against FPX with how both teams have been playing. FPX looked terrible in their first two worlds matches against DK and C9, something that I can’t expect to continue into today but also not something I can completely overlook when building and researching for these games. RGE on the other hand was able to take a pretty convincing victory over C9 while keeping their game against DK close up until the end. I am one to take some pretty stupid upsets sometimes and I am going to go back to the well here with RGE over FPX, this one also has the chance to get bloody in that case as FPX likes to die a lot in losses and RGE getting aggressive after they know how far ahead they really are. I am taking RGE here but FPX has a very live chance to take it. RGE for the upset to fit whatever you want on this slate.

FNC vs PSG

This is the match I have been waiting to write up even though there is not going to be much for me to write about it as I believe it is going to be the most straightforward part of this article. FNC is a team that likes to play at breakneck pace whenever that can and that strategy is being used even more without their ADC in Upset who continues to be out for personal reasons. If you were able to catch and of the RNG vs FNC match then you have an understanding of what I mean here in saying that I believe that there will be a lot of blood here and it is going to favor PSG in their kill upside. I picked PSG every match they have played in so far this tournament and they were able to keep in a close one with RNG through their fighting while they pulled off the upset yesterday against HLE at very low ownership to give us the value we needed. They are the best non-major region team at Worlds and I believe they are going to continue to be impressive with the level at which their laners and jungler are playing at so far. I expect PSG to win this scrappy game filled with a ton of kills for PSG and making them my #1 stack on the day, I will be trying to get 4 PSG everywhere and I love Maple, River, and Hanabi at captain for them.

TL vs GEN

These teams are going to be trying to rebound after two disappointing losses, one for TL where they were absolutely dismantled by LNG, and for GEN where they were taken to the brink by MAD and eventually lost out in the team fights. Both of these teams play similar styles in their more macro-focused gameplay which I believe is going to lead to a lower kill game and make me stay away from this match overall. Taking a quick peek into individual matchups the top lane is going to be fun with Alphari going up against Rascal and even though this will be a very close matchup I am going to take Alphari due to his ability to step and carry more often than Rascal. I also believe the mid lane is going to be a good one with BDD vs Jensen which will be a close match and I believe will rely more on who can get around the map to help out their team more. Gen has looked better overall this tournament in my opinion but I can’t completely disregard TL as they were able to take a good victory over MAD in their first game. Take Gen here but low kills overall.

DK vs C9

If we all remember correctly at MSI earlier in the year C9 was able to pull off an upset over DK in one of their games and have it be one of the big surprises of that tournament. Now that we are back at worlds we have two very similar teams to their MSI days in terms of talent and playstyle but I do not think we will be able to get anything close to another one of these upsets that we had. DK looked shaky at MSI and so far this world’s tournament they have been nothing but dominant and one of the best teams we have here. I don’t even think there is too much more to write for this match as I can really only see DK winning pretty dominantly. I’m playing DK and this match will fair on the slower side for the day. Cash only for me with DK or the team spot.

EDG vs DFM

This is the other match I am really liking the upside for with EDG as DFM has been a team that consistently doesn’t have the talent to match with the better teams of the tournament like EDG. They are not as good in the lane phase or the team fight and that is what kills them as a team because they tend to fight more due to this and help to put up more kills in their games and have huge scores for their winning teams. EDG is also one of the most complete teams at worlds as has a great chance to take over this game and put up some huge points overall. I really like them as a stack today and will be playing a good amount of EDG.

100T vs T1

This is our last match of the day and it is going to be one of our best on the day in terms of closeness, DFS wise? Not as much. T1 has looked like one of our better teams at worlds but they also had the pleasure of running into the inevitable team shredder that is EDG. Though in their other matches both of these teams were able to dismantle the lowly DFM squad. T1 has still been the team that looks more complete and one that I can really see coming out of this group in the second spot with how they are playing together. 100T has also been looking good but just not to the level of T1 and I am also going to attribute some of this to the region gap here that is between NA and the LCK. T1 is the stronger team, from the stronger region, and it is going to show at the end of the day. Take T1 for a win here but I don’t love the upside.

Summary

Winners, RNG, LNG, RGE, PSG, GEN, DK, EDG, T1. The matches that I am favoring to have to most upside are going to be PSG/FNC, EDG/DFM, and RNG/HLE. All of these are going to have the chance to put up huge kill numbers and where most of my ownership is going to with my big upset pick being RGE over FPX if your feeling crazy. 10/11 League of Legends DFS Breakdown: Worlds Edition

Welcome to my 10/11 League of Legends DFS Breakdown: Worlds Edition where I am looking to crush the second day of worlds with yet another 8 game slate for the day. I believe today is going to be much more cut and dry in terms of who is going to be coming away with these games and who will put up the kill numbers we need for the day. Our matches are T1 vs EDG, DK vs RGE, PSG vs HLE, RNG vs FNC, FPX vs C9, 100T vs DFM, GEN vs MAD, and TL vs LNG. I have an obvious path for this slate that I am looking to go down the road with for the slate and I am excited to share it so let’s dig into it.

T1 vs EDG

This is going to be a slow one in my eyes as I believe both teams are on the slower side of the slate in terms of pace. EDG is the class of the LPL while T1 is a solid team in the LCK and both looked really good in their respective openers while the first match for each team was on the easier side. EDG has one of the best mid/jg duo’s at worlds in Scout and Jiejie while they are obviously going up against Faker and T1. When looking at the rest of the lineups between the two teams EDG has a clear advantage in the overall strength of laners. I am giving EDG the advantage here to win today but T1 isn’t a team I can completely write off. EDG to win but I don’t really like either side due to the relative upside of this game.

DK vs RGE

This is one of our lopsided matchups between these two regions as the LCK is far ahead of the LEC in terms of overall region strength. Both of these teams have similar play styles where they look to get ahead through early game macro dominance. But that is where the similarities end between these two teams as there is a huge talent gap with DK taking the advantage there by a lot. Both of these teams play a little more controlled and in a very calculated style overall. I hate not spending a lot of time here but DK is going to roll over RGE in a not-so-close matchup and once Rogue falls behind they like to start feeding in their matches and DK is a team that can very much take advantage of that against this squad. I like DK to win and they classify as one of the better plays on the slate.

PSG vs HLE

I am having a tough time not looking to go back to PSG here even though HLE looked a lot better against Fnatic who was admittedly playing with a sub in their bot lane spot. HLE is a team who is having a lot of success playing through their jg/mid duo in Chovy and Willer but they are going to be countered hard here in Maple and River. I really like PSG here again and the upside for the side of PSG is something that has consistently caught my eye. I believe this has the chance to be one of the higher scoring matchups on the slate and I might have to go with backing the dog on this match in PSG as they give you the value and the chance to upset that we need. They looked good against RNG in the team fights until they eventually lost a key fight and were just overpowered by the gold difference. I like PSG here but I won’t completely fade HLE due to the overall upside here. PSG and a high scorer.

RNG vs FNC

PLAY 4 RNG IF IT IS POSSIBLE. Yes, they are the most expensive team on the slate. Yes, they almost just had a letdown spot against PSG. Yes, they are hard to fit with just about anyone but they are playing into one of the fastest teams at worlds in FNC who is without their likely best player in Upset. RNG is going to win this matchup and I would stake just about anything on it. Not much information to drop on this game other than play 4 RNG if you can, they have the easiest chance to be the highest-scoring team on the slate and it wouldn’t even be close.

FPX vs C9

This is somewhere we are going to be able to look for safety in the arms of FPX to take a win here consistently and take over their match against C9. C9 isn’t terrible but they have the designation of coming from what is believed to be the weakest major region in NA and they are going against one of the top 3 teams at worlds in FPX. Perkz is one of the best if not the best western mid laner of all time and he is going to have to get crushed by DoinB, if they even bring this matchup close I would be amazed. We have one of the most lopsided games on the slate here in where I expect FPX to roll over C9 and they should be able to put up a decent score but nothing I expect to be needed or a slate breaker. FPX is going to roll to a win here but it is not going to be a high kill affair.

100T vs DFM

100T didn’t falter too bad against EDG in their opening matchup but they got overpowered by what is looking like the best overall team in the tournament so far. DFM on the other hand was dismantled by T1 in a matchup that wasn’t even close overall, T1 pulled out the victory 22-2 and didn’t let DFM do anything in terms of getting in the game. 100T is from NA and it is well written as to how I think they are the worst major region at worlds but 100T gets the pleasure here of not having to face off against one of the major region teams in DFM. If there was going to be an upset for DFM it is going to have to come against the west but I just can’t see it happening against Fakerdagge and the rest of the 100 thieves. I am taking 100T to win here and I do like the kill potential a lot tonight.

GEN vs MAD

This matchup is just going to be gross in general. GEN just stomped LNG in an expected, very low-scoring match, where both teams looked to macro instead of constantly team fight. GEN here has the chance to take on the west in the MAD lions and I expect it to be another stomp from the side of GEN G. MAD is one of the best team fighting teams in the world which can always give them a chance in these games but I really can’t theory craft a win for them outside of them being able to pull off the win due to not being too far behind GEN in the early game and then using their team fighting advantage to hold out and win over GEN. I like GEN to take the win here and do so in a dominating macro fashion but I wouldn’t be surprised either if they were able to put up kills in this matchup as MAD is someone who likes to up the pace of the game and they can feed some kills over to GEN in a loss. I expect an easier win here for the side of GEN and one that is either going to lead to a lot of kills or just a few, play them in cash mainly.

LNG vs TL

TL looked really good in their game against MAD yesterday and I believe that may have the ability to sway some opinions for today, while I do believe that TL looked really good. I also believe that this is an NA team going against one of the better teams from the LPL in LNG and someone who can counter TL in their strengths in top lane with Ale who is admittedly better than Alphari in this matchup. When looking outside of the top lane the only problem spot I can really see for LNG is going to be the mid lane with Icon going up against one of TL’s best players in Jensen, who has some amazing KP for this team and in a win someone I expect to be able to put up massive numbers. LNG on the other hand is an LPL team with one of the most talented ADC’s in Light along with Tarzan in the jungle and Ale in the top lane. I am taking LNG to win here through their mid to lane game dominance and how they are able to play through multiple spots on their roster, there is a chance this will be a fast game so I am not against playing a lot of this game but I would envision a 17 kill win.

Summary

EDG, DK, PSG, RNG, FPX, 100T, GEN, and LNG are all going to be the winners on the slate for me and the upside matches are going to be RNG/FNC, PSG/HLE, and 100T/DFM. They are going to be my favorite matches to go from with my #1 combo probably being RNG and PSG. 10/11 League of Legends DFS breakdown: Worlds Edition

Welcome to my 10/11 League of Legends DFS breakdown: Worlds Edition. We are being blessed with a massive eight-game slate for this fine Monday morning. I am not looking to give too much of a description here as I need to get right into business with the size of the slate we have today. Our matches include FPX vs DK, RNG vs PSG, FNC vs HLE, GEN vs LNG, T1 vs DFM, 100T vs EDG, TL vs MAD, and RGE vs C9. We have a lot to get into so let’s get started into this slate.

Main Slate Breakdown

FPX vs DK

This is graciously the first match of the day and the most hyped matchup of the day and possibly the tournament. This is what many believe will be the preview of the world championship. FPX is the best team in the LPL and DK is the best team in the LCK. If you want to take a peek into region strength then we are going to be favoring the LPL here as they are the best region in the world. When we take a look into the strengths of each team we are going to have to focus a bit on the mid-lane with our matchup between Showmaker and DoinB. This is one of the best mids in the world vs the best mid laner in the world in DoinB. Looking around though we are going to have to give the advantage to FPX on the top side, jungle goes to DK, bot lane will be the deciding factor in the game though and I believe that is going to go the way of FPX and that is who I expect to win the game. Take FPX here and I like them to be one of the top scorers on the slate.

RNG vs PSG

We have two very dominant regular season teams here between RNG and PSG. Both were dominant squads with PSG not losing a match in the regular season while RNG was one of the top squads again in the LPL. I have an odd feeling about this game and it is leading me to one of the biggest upset picks we have here today. This is going to be one of the closest matches there are but the name/region is going to give us more ownership over on the side of RNG. While on the flipside I can only see this as another region to play PSG here. Yes, they are not the regional power that RNG is while playing in the LPL, but they are in one of the better regions in the league world and are the most dominant squad we have here. If you’re playing for safety and cash I would go with RNG but for me, and for my GPP shots I am fully sending PSG here. This will be closer than many expect and I love it today.

FNC vs HLE

Believe it or not, this is one of those matches I don’t believe we are going to have too much of a question with the winner but mostly who is going to have the chance to put up the points tonight. FNC plays at breakneck speed while HLE plays in a much more adaptive way to what their opponent is playing like. HLE is either going to be in a 30 kill game or a 13 kill game for the winner. FNC is an LEC team going up against an LCK one but I still believe they are going to be the winner here with how HLE has looked in this tournament so far. I don’t believe they have the ability to keep up with teams like FNC and they really don’t have a team outside of Chovy and that will show when Nisqy holds his own against him. I like FNC and believe they can put up the points here.

LNG vs GEN

Here we are looking to get back to one of the slower-paced matchups where we could see lower kill numbers overall. LNG has looked amazing so far this tournament while GEN looked worse as their season went on. Both of these teams like to play slower and more of a macro style in their gameplay and I expect LNG to be the key benefactor to this as they are the overall better squad in the matchup. I am also not sure about GEN’s roster tonight as they have the possibility to switch in the jungle and in the top lane. Either way that this match goes I can really only see it being a slow playing game and I am looking to take LNG here but I believe it is going to be one of those lower scoring matchups on the day.

T1 vs DFM

I have a few opinions that are not going to be anywhere near the norm with most playing this slate tonight and this is the second look that I am giving that is going to differ from most. The storylines here are abundant for T1 with this being Faker’s first worlds in two years and their consistent roster turnover. DFM on the other hand is the best collection of talent that has ever come out of the LJL region and they have been playing like it so far this tournament only picking up a loss against C9. T1 is the better team here, coming out of the better region, with side selection here tonight. T1 should win this game as they hold consistent advantages in the jungle and mid-lane. DFM could possibly claim an edge on top with the best player to ever come of the LJL in Evi. T1 should win here again but I like the possible upside in a win from this DFM squad and that is driving over towards them as an upset pick here. T1 for Cash, DFM for GPP shots.

100T vs EDG

I would love to theory craft some crazy way that this match will be interesting and anything other than a stomp in favor of EDG but that is simply not possible. 100T is the best team from NA, yes, but NA is still the worst of the major regions and EDG is a part of the best region in the world in the LPL. It is impossible for me to see EDG lose but I also cannot recommend playing them outside of their team spot as this should be a blowout for the EDG squad and one of the faster matches of the day. There’s not too much to say here other than that EDG is going to win the kills are going to be on the lower side for this one.

TL vs MAD

Another one of the closer matches on the day and I can see this going the way of MAD into their faster playstyle and I can also see TL trying to push this match more into their slow play style where they can control the map through macro. These teams also match up quite well overall in their positions as I would call it even between Alphari and Armut in the top lane, the jungle would have to go to the side of the MAD lions with Elyoya over Santorin due to his playstyle for more AD junglers in this meta. Mid-lane is dead even between Jensen and Humanoid and I am going to keep it that way in saying this is dead even. Bot lane is also very close with MAD holding the edge in the adc role and TL holding the edge in the Support role. What is really going to separate these teams though is their team fighting. which is going to carry MAD here tonight. I am taking MAD and I believe the kills can be here depending on how they pull off the win.

RGE vs C9

NA is a very disappointing region overall but their closest counterpart is the LEC and this is going to be another matchup between the two regions. Rogue was picked apart with their playstyle and the blueprint on how to beat them has been layed out. If C9 can win the early game against Rogue, I really can’t see a scenario where they lose this matchup but they also have to do this against the best macro early game team in the LEC. I can really only see a path here for Rogue to take the win over C9 and that is where my pick is going to be but I cannot see this match having anything resembling kills. It probably has the best chance to be the lowest-scoring on the day. I am taking RGE here but not playing either side

Summary

Welcome to the summary of my 10/11 League of Legends DFS breakdown: Worlds Edition. My final picks to win tonight are going to be FPX, PSG, FNC, LNG, DFM, EDG, MAD, RGE. In terms of upside, the best games for possible points are going to be PSG/RNG, FPX/DK, and FNC/HLE. The rest fall off after those big three. Thank you guys for reading my LOL breakdown for our first world’s main stage action and I will be in discord answering any questions needed here and to check out other articles over here at WinDaily click here. Thank you again and let’s crush this slate!!!

10/6 League of Legends DFS Breakdown, LOL Worlds edition

Welcome to my 10/6 League of Legends DFS Breakdown: Worlds Edition. Yesterday we got off to a hot start with the early slate and continued that into the main slate with stacks of DFM. For tomorrow I do like the early slate, though it may be a bit chalky, the main slate is going to be the one in question, for the most part, tomorrow as I believe it is the most contested we have had. Let’s take a look at these games to continue on our success from yesterday’s slate. For the early slate, we get the pleasure of having LNG vs RED and HLE vs PCE. Though we aren’t going to have to really get into it until we hit the main slate. We have a 4 game main slate including INF vs PCE, RED vs HLE, BYG vs C9, and GS vs DFM. Now, this is going to be a slate that is more up in the air and one that I am going to be looking into to try to get an edge here. Let’s dig into this slate for tomorrow.

Early Only Slate

LNG vs RED and HLE vs PCE

This is a set of games I see no reason to spend too much time on as we saw yesterday how these are two of the best teams in the play-in stage are LNG and HLE. While on the other hand of their respective matchups we see some of the worst regions at Worlds in RED and PCE. I see both of these matches being very one-sided and the LNG vs RED game being considerably faster faced than HLE vs PCE. All of my looks tomorrow are going to include 4 LNG in this matchup against the RED candids who are bad and a higher-paced team in the tournament overall. HLE vs PCE on the other hand is one of the slower-paced matchups we are going to have on the day and that is why I will only be taking 3 stacks from this match as much as possible. We are playing our 4 stacks from LNG and we are doing that any way needed (ALE IS HIGHLY RECCOMENDED) I love ALE too as he has embraced the role of carrying the squad.

Main Slate

INF vs PCE

We get the chance here to look into another matchup of the dogs, two of the lower-ranking teams we have at this tournament. Though when looking into the two teams there is a distinctive distance in how they played yesterday. INF played two games and looked truly like a bottom-tier team through their playstyle. PCE on the other hand looked a bit better even up against their competition in LNG. I am really leaning toward PCE for the play here but I do not like them to put up the numbers we are going to need in a win. This is going to be one of those toss-up matches for tomorrow and I believe that it is one that I will be staying away from. The pick here is PCE to win but I am not going to play them in any more than a three-stack tomorrow.

RED vs HLE

HLE is going to be one of the higher owned teams on the slate and I really can’t see why not. HLE is one of the slower-paced teams here, yes, but RED is also one of the faster-paced teams in the league. I don’t like to tout this many matches as open and shut but I do like HLE to roll here even if they have looked shaky so far at this tournament. HLE is going to carry a lot of ownership and I am going to be taking this into consideration when building. I like HLE to win this matchup and to do so in a possibly bloody manner. Take HLE, I like them mostly as 3 stacks but I am willing to throw some 4 stacks in with them.

C9 vs BYG

I was a big supporter of Beyond on the opening slate, then they proceeded to come out with a new top laner and act as they have never before played League of legends. Beyond looked atrocious out on the rift and now they are against a much better opponent in C9, I am even less confident in them tonight. I expect C9 to roll BYG and I really like Perkz to have a repeat performance, and be able to show up in domination here over BYG. If BYG is going to have a chance here it is going to be through their stellar ADC in Doggo, but if he wasn’t able to carry them over GS, I highly doubt he will be able to carry them over C9. I am taking C9 to win here tonight and I do like their upside a bit but they’re not my favorite play of the day.

DFM vs GS

This is our last matchup on the day and one I expect to be the key to our success tonight. This match is home to one of my favorite plays on the day in GS as they have looked incredible so far, if they hold the lead then they are going to win the matchup. GS is setting up to be one of the best lower-tier team fighting teams in the tournament, their team-fighting KDA is an astonishing 1.89 and I am expecting this number to lead them to a few surprise wins in this tournament. I am also a firm believer in DFM as a team and an organization and a squad that finally gets to come into the international stage at full power. They are going to have a chance in this game no doubt, but I am going to prefer GS here, and even though they are a slower playing team, they have kicked it up this tournament and I do not see that stopping here. GS is my main 4 stack on the day.

Summary

For the early slate, I am really going to be looking to be chalky and normal in playing LNG and HLE, with my 4 stacks coming straight from LNG with either Tarzan and Ale, filling these out with HLE. When approaching the main slate my favorite 4 stacks are going to be GS, they looked immaculate yesterday in their team fighting and that is something I expect them to strive from in their matchups. I also wouldn’t be against 4 stacking HLE or PCE but I’m going to be mainly sticking to 3 stacks from those teams. Good luck on day two of worlds everyone and I hope we have another great day of league.
