We’re back with a new Sunday Night Win Daily NHL Article! Hockey season is now well and truly underway and I am so excited that we get to take on this slate together! Let’s continue our positive trends as of late! Tonight, we have a small 5-game slate. So, let’s get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 11/7 NHL slate, the slate begins at 6:00 pm ET. Don’t forget to lock your lines and check the discord for any updates! Let’s get into it!

11/7 NHL Stack Report

  1. New York Islanders 2
    Beauvilier – Nelson – Palmieri (FanDuel: $14,600 | DraftKings: $17,100)
We’re starting off the article with a rather under the radar pick. To their credit, the Islanders second line has been performing extremely well to start the season. Both Nelson and Beauvilier are top of their team in scoring with Nelson scoring at a point per game pace. Coming into tonight, theyre coming up against a Minnesota Wild side who played in an intense 5-4 Shootout win against the Pittsburgh Penguins. That was a very physically taxing game and it also means that Kaapo Kahkonen gets the start. Kahkonen looked awful in his season debut letting in five goals against the Nashville Predators. If Nelson and the Islanders can jump on Kahkonen early, this game can really get away from the Wild. On top of that, Minnesota is also allowing 3.33 goals against per game and is near the bottom of the league in both penalty minutes per game and penalty kill percentage.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Noah Dobson (FD: $4,200 | DK: $3,400)
  2. Detroit Red Wings 1
    Bertuzzi – Suter (possibly Larkin) – Raymond (FanDuel: $13,200 | DraftKings: $15,100)
If Larkin remains out of tonight’s matchup, this line will be one of the best value plays of the slate as each player is huge bargain. (Especially, Tyler Bertuzzi on FanDuel) The addition of Pius Suter to the top line also looked excellent as he registered two points in the Red Wings 4-3 overtime win against the Buffalo Sabres. There are no superstar lines in tonights slate (such as Edmonton’s top line or Colorado’s top line) but the Red Wings top line is one of the more complete and consistent lines on the slate. On top of that, the Wings are at home against a Golden Knights team who has also played last night and has struggled to find consistency to start the season.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Moritz Seider (FD: $4,200 | DK: $4,800)

    Honorable Mention(s): STL2 (Kyrou/Thomas/Tarasenko), ANH1 (Henrique/Getzlaf/Terry)

11/7 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best (Goalies to Roster)

  1. Semyon Varlamov (FD: $7,800 | DK: $7,500)
  2. Juuse Saros (FD: $7,500 | DK: $7,700)
Honorable Mention(s): Brayden Holtby, Jordan Binnington

Worst (Goalies to Target)

  1. Kaapo Kahkonen (FD: $8,100 | DK: $7,900)
    Honorable Mention(s): Marc-Andre Fleury

11/7 NHL Wild Card Targets

Matt Duchene (FD: $5,600 | DK: $5,400)
Duchene has struggled to find his footing in the NHL since his time with the Colorado Avalanche but as of late he has been able to carve out a spot as a reliable scorer with the Nashville Predators. As of late, he has really turned it on for them as well. Over his last three games, he has put up three goals and two assists for five points. Tonight, he’ll be going up against a team that is on quite the slide at the moment, the Chicago Blackhawks. This season, Chicago has struggled with questionable goaltending and defence as they only have one win on the season thus far and give up an average of nearly four goals a game (3.92). Their starting goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has not performed well this season and coming in tonight against a hot Matt Duchene and co. it’s hard to see him doing much better tonight. Duchene works well in a two-man stack with star defenseman Roman Josi (Josi is my CASH LOCK of the slate).
Honorable Mention(s): Thomas, Bertuzzi (FanDuel), Robertson, Smith, P. Kane

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Brock Nelson

Winger Vladimir Tarasenko

Defence Roman Josi (CASH LOCK)

Goalie Semyon Varlamov

We’re back with another Wednesday Night Win Daily NHL Article! We’ve seen lots of success as of late, So let’s continue our positive trend tonight. We have a small 4-gamer for tonight’s slate. So, let’s get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 11/3 NHL slate, the slate begins at 8:30 pm ET. Don’t forget to lock your lines and check the discord for any updates! Let’s get into it!

11/3 NHL Stack Report

  1. Edmonton Oilers 1
    Hyman – McDavid – Puljajarvi (FanDuel: $22,400 | DraftKings: $20,300)
CASH LOCK: Again, its hard to see any way to not play this line in cash considering the small slate and their performances as of late. Even on an off night for the top line in their last game against the Seattle Kraken, McDavid and Hyman still both managed to register a point en route to their 5-2 win. Tonight they are facing off agaisnt a Predators lineup who are starting a rookie goaltender behind some questionable defense. On top of that, the Oilers are once again coming in with the highest implied total on the slate at 3.5 xGoals. There are plenty of top lines you can target for this slate (ie CAR2 or COL1) but for cash I wouldnt stray far away from Edmonton’s top line.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Evan Bouchard (FD: $5,500 | DK: $4,900)
  2. Chicago Blackhawks PP1
    Kane – Toews – Jones (FanDuel: $20,000 | DraftKings: $16,200)
Chicago’s lines were uncomfortably fluid last game as Patrick Kane came back from COVID Protocol. Boy did he ever come back, in his first game back from a 10-day layoff Patty managed to put up a hat trick along with an assist for a four point night. They’re going up against a much stronger team in the Carolina Hurricanes but with Kane back in their lines, they look like a rejuvenated group. Despite the line inconsistency, we saw Kane, Toews and Jones gather a lot of ice time together in their 5-1 route of the Senators. On top of that, they can offer some salary relief when stacking the Edmonton Oilers or the Carolina Hurricanes. I would be hard pressed to see Chicago sneak out a win here but when it comes to DFS production, they can get at Freddy for a few goals. (Wingers like Hagel or Kubalik can be used to offset some of the cost of this line)

    Honorable Mention(s): CAR3 (Svechnikov-Staal-Fast), COL1 (Compher-MacKinnon-Landeskog)

11/3 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best (Goalies to Roster)

  1. Elvis Merzlikins (FD: $7,300 | DK: $7,300)
  2. Frederik Andersen (FD: $8,500 | DK: $7,900)
Honorable Mention(s): Calvin Peterson, Jordan Binnington

Worst (Goalies to Target)

  1. Connor Ingram (FD: $6,500 | DK: $7,400)

11/3 NHL Wild Card Targets

Tony DeAngelo (FD: $5,300 | DK: $5,200)
Tony has seemed to pick up right where he left off after his career year with the Rangers back in 2019, as one of the top defensemen for the Hurricanes following the departure of Dougie Hamilton, Tony has filled in really well towards the more recent side of the Canes red hot start to the season. In his last three games, DeAngelo has put together two goals and three assists for five points, three of which (1 G, 2 A) came against the Canes opponent tonight in the Blackhawks. Tony has also seen an upgrade to the Canes top power play and remains relatively affordable despite his recent success.
Honorable Mention(s): Duncan Keith, JT Compher, Brandon Hagel, Patrik Laine, Vladimir Tarasenko

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Connor McDavid

Winger Zach Hyman

Defence Tony DeAngelo

Goalie Elvis Merzlikins

We’re back with a new Sunday Night Win Daily NHL Article! I love seeing the high activity in the discord chat and the winning screenshots that have been posted lately, especially after the last Between the Benches article! Let’s continue our positive trend tonight. We have a small 4-gamer for tonight’s slate. So, let’s get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 10/31 NHL slate, the slate begins at 4:00 pm ET. Don’t forget to lock your lines and check the discord for any updates! Let’s get into it!

10/31 NHL Stack Report

  1. New York Rangers Power Play 1
    Panarin – Zibanejad – Fox (FanDuel: $22,300 | DraftKings: $21,700)
CASH LOCK: This is the top line on the slate and theyre not even really a complete line. I know, it doesnt make a lot of sense but these three are absolute savages and have far and away the best matchup of the slate against the expansion Seattle Kraken. As of late, Chris Kreider (also on this top power play, salary saving substitute for Panarin) has seen most of the Rangers goal scoring but the three members of this top of this line have kept up with Kreider on points through their assists and have all outpaced him in average ice time. Over the past two seasons we saw what these three were truly capable of as last season Panarin finished top 15 in the scoring race (finishing fourth the year before), while Zibanejad finished top 15 in total league goals (finishing fifth the year before). Adam Fox took home Norris Trophy honours as the best defenseman in the league finishing second in defenseman scoring behind Tyson Barrie. When it comes to this slate, there are not a lot of other top performing options meaning in cash games you will need these three to keep up with the rest of the pack. For cash games they are the main line of the slate.
  2. Buffalo Sabres 2
    Asplund – Thompson – Olofsson (FanDuel: $13,800 | DraftKings: $15,200)
This line just cant be stopped. On top of the fact that they are up against a lacklustre defense (their top defenseman Drew Doughty is injured) with an aging goalie, this line has produced tremendous numbers and have been largely responsible for Buffalo’s surprising run of form. Led by Victor Olofsson (2 G and 2 A in last two games, point per game this season), this line has ended up seeing the lion’s share of playing time while also coming together on Buffalo’s top line power play. This line also provides some needed salary relief considering how costly the top line of this article is. Buffalo is also coming into tonight really fresh with their last game taking place on the 28th compared to the LA Kings who are on the second half of a back to back. (Which is why Quick is playing in the first place)
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Rasmus Dahlin (FD: $4,600 | DK: $5,300)

    Honorable Mention(s): LAK1 (Brown/Kopitar/Arvidsson), CBJ2 (Bjorkstrand/Roslovic/ G. Hofmann)

10/31 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best (Goalies to Roster)

  1. Igor Shesterkin (FD: $8,000 | DK: $7,700)
  2. Elvis Merzlikins (FD: $7,400 | DK: $7,500)
    Honorable Mention(s): Dustin Tokarski

Worst (Goalies to Target)

  1. Scott Wedgewood (FD: $6,800 | DK: $7,900)
    Honorable Mention(s): Philipp Grubauer

10/31 NHL Wild Card Targets

Anaheim Ducks 1 (FD: $13,100 | DK: $14,900)
Usually, I’d have a player in this section but today is a little different as Anaheim’s top line is coming into this slate on absolute fire and rather than listing them off individually as wild cards, I figured it would make more sense to group them in their line. The risk factor is that their pace is so high that it’s hard to tell when or if they will see any regression. For example, Troy Terry has notched points in his last seven games while his linemates (Ryan Getzlaf, Adam Henrique) have produced similar numbers with a little less consistency. This line is extremely affordable and the Ducks are up against a Montreal side who have really had trouble finding their footing to start the season, while their goalie Jake Allen is plagued with inconsistency issues. Getzlaf and Terry play on Anaheim’s top power-play unit while Henrique is on the second power-play unit. The best defenseman to stack this line with is Kevin Shattenkirk.
Honorable Mention(s): Mike Hoffman, Josh Anderson, Hayden Fleury, Ryan Graves (FanDuel)

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Mika Zibanejad

Winger Victor Olofsson

Defence Dougie Hamilton

10/27 NHL Stack Report

  1. Edmonton Oilers 1
    Hyman – McDavid – Puljajarvi (FanDuel: $21,300 | DraftKings: $20,000)
CASH LOCK: It has been literally impossible to miss what this line has been able to do and of course I am referring to Edmonton’s top line. This is all due in part to McDavid and his level of play that is just miles ahead of everyone else. No matter who he is paired with in this game, they will perform well, so much so, that his two linemates were not that expensive before playing alongside him. Now that they have a few games under their belts with sky high point totals their prices have inevitably rised but not too much that takes away their value. Both Hyman and Puljajarvi compliment McDavid’s game very well and coming into tonight against a Philadelphia side who sits near the bottom of the league with their star defender (Ryan Ellis) on the sidelines, it’ll be really hard to avoid these guys tonight
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Tyson Barrie (Evan Bouchard for a Salary Saver) (FD: $5,500 | DK: $4,900)
  2. Dallas Stars 4
    Peterson – Seguin – Faksa (FanDuel: $14,500 | DraftKings: $11,000)
I cannot even explain how much I dislike these Dallas lines from a fantasy perspective. All of Dallas’ top players are on different lines and the ones that are together have been extremly inconsistent. However, when it comes to their fourth line which for some reason includes their best player (Tyler Seguin) I see some serious potential. There is some disagreement on who will be on the wings for Seguin tonight but the fantasy sites have rookie Peterson and Faksa alongside him, Faksa in particular has performed respectably this season, enough so that I dont mind a small stack pairing the two. Furthermore, Dallas will be coming into tonight against a Vegas team who is starting their weak(er) goalie, in Dallas, against a team on the second half of a back to back, with many of their top stars still on the sidelines. I have to take a piece of Dallas in that matchup. (FanDuel listed all three as Centres so they dont stack too well as a full line)
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Miro Heiskanen (FD: $6,200 | DK: $5,100)

Honorable Mention(s): WAS1 (Wilson, Kuznetzov, Ovechkin), BOS1 (Marchand, Bergeron, Pastrnak), FLA2 (Huberdeau, Bennett, Tippett)

10/27 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best (Goalies to Roster)

  1. Braden Holtby (FD: $7,600 | DK: $7,700)
  2. Vitek Vanacek (FD: $8,300 | DK: $8,300)
    Honorable Mention(s): Bobrovsky, Koskinen

Worst (Goalies to Target)

  1. Laurent Brossoit (FD: $7,500 | DK: $7,700)

10/27 NHL Wild Card Targets

DraftKings

Joel Farabee (FD: $5,900 | DK: $4,700)
Lessons have not been learned, Farabee’s price has only gone up $300 on DraftKings since the last time he was a Wild Card Target (He proceeded to get a goal and an assist along with 5 shots). This is still below the season start price of $5,100 despite having three goals and three assists for six points in four games. I can’t really see the Flyers winning this game on account of coming up against one of the hottest teams in the league in their own barn, so tread lightly with Farabee but it is really hard to ignore his price.

FanDuel

Tyler Bertuzzi (FD: $5,000 | DK: $6,900)
His price makes NO sense. DraftKings rightfully has Bertuzzi as the fourth-highest-priced winger on the slate, while FanDuel put him at a bargain bin price. There is no way I am passing on Bertuzzi given the start he has had this season. In just five regular-season games Bertuzzi has put together six goals and three assists for nine points and this includes the game where the Wings were shut out by the Flames. On top of this misprice, the line in general is fairly affordable. Larkin is on the higher end but rookie winger Raymond (coming off a hattrick) and rookie defenseman Moritz Seider are both extremely affordable.
Honorable Mention(s): Robertson (if he plays, DK Only), Bouchard, Bunting, Pavelski (his DK price of 2,600 is unacceptable), Reinhart (DK Only)

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Connor McDavid

Winger Alex Ovechkin

We’re back with a new Sunday Night Win Daily NHL Article! I love seeing the high activity in the discord chat and the winning screenshots that have been posted lately, especially after the last Between the Benches article! Let’s continue our positive trend tonight. We have a small 3-gamer for tonight’s slate. So, let’s get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 10/24 NHL slate, the slate begins at 6:00 pm ET. Don’t forget to lock your lines and check the discord for any updates! Let’s get into it!

10/24 NHL Stack Report

  1. Minnesota Wild 1
    Kaprizov – Eriksson Ek – Zuccarello (FanDuel: $16,800 | DraftKings: $17,500)
CASH LOCK: I see this line as far and away the best play of the slate. We have hot forwards (starting the season with four straight wins), who all play together, are relatively affordable and are up against a struggling Nashville team who played a game last night against the Winnipeg Jets (where they lost 6-4). If Saros does not get the start for the second half of the back to back, the Preds will likely be turning to goalie Connor Ingram with David Rittich sidelined… yeah. Even if they had Rittich available, Minnesota would still be far and away the best play of this three game slate. The Wild have an implied total of 3.1 at the moment and if Ingram does start, that total will easily shoot up to the highest on the slate. Build your lineups around these guys, especially if you’re playing cash games.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Jared Spurgeon (FD: $4,900 | DK: $4,800)
  2. New York Islanders 1
    Lee – Barzal – Bailey (FanDuel: $15,100 | DraftKings: $17,600)
Despite the fact that the Islanders played last night (…very well I might add), they are coming into Vegas tonight, red hot against a team that just doesnt appear to be on their level right now. Vegas has been plagued with injuries and bad goaltending. While the Islanders, have put together some strong performances with a 2-1-2 record, with two of their three losses on the year coming in close OT contests. For his price Barzal is a little too risky but he pairs exremely well with his affordable winger Josh Bailey as well as young defenseman Noah Dobson. The Isles are a sneaky play as one would traditionally favour the Golden Knights if they were healthy but the circumstances have the Islanders in a good spot. They’ll have a decent amount of exposure on a small slate like this and can make the difference in GPPs.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Noah Dobson (FD: $4,200 | DK: $3,000)

    Honorable Mention(s): VGK1 (Marchessault – Karlsson – Smith), DET1 (Raymond-Larkin-Fabbri)

10/24 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best (Goalies to Roster)

  1. Kaapo Kahkonen (FD: $8,500 | DK: $7,300)
  2. Ilya Sorokin (FD: $8,200 | DK: $8,400)
    Honorable Mention(s): Robin Lehner

Worst (Goalies to Target)

  1. Connor Ingram (FD: $7,900 | DK: $8,100)
Honorable Mention(s): Marc-Andre Fleury, Alex Nedeljkovic

10/24 NHL Wild Card Targets

FanDuel

Moritz Seider (FD: $4,000 | DK: $4,000)
There are a lot of interesting one-off plays on tonight’s slate and one that is definitely worth a look is Moritz Seider. Sieder leads Red Wings defensemen in points and is second on his team tied with Larkin and behind Bertuzzi who may not even play. Seider has been receiving top-line minutes (over 21 minutes per game) and has been racking up both blocks and shots. Seider plays on the Wings’ second power-play unit but gets a lot of even-strength minutes with the top line. Going into tonight, he’ll be facing off against a very questionable Chicago defence who are allowing a whopping 4.2 goals per game and a goalie in Fleury who is off to the worst statistical start of his entire career with a 0-3-0 record, a 5.63 GAA and a .840 SV%. I see a lot of potential for a game stack between these two teams as they both suffer from very questionable defence but one piece of this matchup that I would recommend taking a look at is rookie defenseman, Moritz Seider.
Honorable Mention(s): Fiala, Beauvilier, Tolvanen, Wahlstrom

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Dylan Larkin

Winger Kirill Kaprizov

Defence Noah Dobson

Goalie Kaapo Kahkonen

We’re back with another Wednesday Night Win Daily NHL Article! I love seeing the high activity in the discord chat and the winning screenshots that have been posted lately. Let’s continue our positive trend tonight. We have a small 2-gamer for tonight’s slate. So, let’s get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 10/20 NHL slate, the slate begins at 7:30 pm ET. Don’t forget to lock your lines and check the discord for any updates! Let’s get into it!

10/20 NHL Stack Report

  1. Boston Bruins 1
    Pastrnak – Bergeron – Marchand (FanDuel: $24,000 | DraftKings: $20,600)
CASH LOCK: Ok so we can keep it really simple for this line. They are the cash line of tonight’s slate. They are one of the best lines in hockey, up there with Tampa, Toronto and Colorado’s top line. Since they are the only line near the top of the league on today’s slate, their ownership in cash games will be extremly high. (I’d assume at least 70%) Statistically, there is very good reason for this. When this line is on, they will break the slate and against a very lacklustre goalie in Jones, they are very likely to do just that. Jones had one of the worst stat lines as a goalie in the NHL last season with a 3.28 GAA and a .896 SV%. San Jose did not have the best season last year and Jones’ performances definitely did not help matters. Every member of this top line is all-star calibre but I want to point out Pastrnak in particular who not only won the Rocket Richard Trophy during the last full NHL Season (2019-2020) but he was the among the top in the scoring table in the most recent playoffs (2020-21) with 15 points in only 11 games. Also of note is that Marchand finished third in league scoring last season. With that being said, considering their price, I would try to get them all in but if you cant, prioritize Pastrnak and Marchand.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Charlie McAvoy (FD: $6,400 | DK: $5,600)
  2. Phiadelphia Flyers 2
    Farabee – Brassard – Atkinson (FanDuel: $14,500 | DraftKings: $14,900)
Playing the two recommended lines together could work as an interesting game stack and the price of the Flyers second line allows you to afford the big guns on Boston’s top line. Furthermore, they have performed extremely well this season through their first two games. Together they have combined for 9 points through their first two games with four goals and five assists and their prices have remained affordable despite their success. I suspect that this line will have high ownership in today’s slate given their past performances but it is for good reason. With the whole line playing together on the Flyers second power play unit we will also have significant opportunities for this line to score and accrue points together during both even strength and during the power play.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Ryan Ellis (FD: $5,500 | DK: $6,100)

    Honorable Mention(s): VGK1 (Marchessault – Karlsson – Smith), PHI1 (Giroux – Couturier – Konecny)

10/20 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best (Goalies to Roster)

  1. Jordan Binnington (FD: $7,300 | DK: $7,100)
  2. Jeremy Swayman (FD: $8,000 | DK: $7,900)
    Honorable Mention(s): Robin Lehner

Worst (Goalies to Target)

  1. Martin Jones (FD: $7,700 | DK: $7,400)

10/20 NHL Wild Card Targets

DraftKings

Joel Farabee (FD: $5,400 | DK: $4,400)
I don’t get it. Four points to start the season, two points in each game and DraftKings lowers his price? We’re not talking a $100 or $200 drop either. He dropped $900!!! If you’re playing on DraftKings I would scoop up Farabee immediately and build him, I doubt his price will stay here for too long. Farabee is already building on a stellar 20-goal and 38-point campaign from last year’s shortened season and tonight he is an absolute steal on DraftKings. Farabee pairs well with his aforementioned linemates on Philadelphia’s second line as well as defenseman Ryan Ellis.

FanDuel

Jordan Kyrou (FD: $4,600 | DK: $4,600)
For FanDuel, we have a similar situation when it comes to Jordan Kyrou. Jordan has amassed six points in just two games, including a superb four-point performance in the 7-4 barn burner against the Yotes. Kyrou’s price did go up from the last slate, but he is still very affordable for tonight’s two-gamer and when trying to fit in the juggernauts on Boston’s top line, its salary saving wingers like Kyrou who will allow you to fit them comfortably into your lineups. Kyrou pairs really well with defenseman Justin Faulk who is also reasonably priced. Kyrou will also be getting a new linemate for tonight’s game as Buchnevich is unavailable tonight after being suspended for headbutting Coyotes forward Lawson Crouse. So stay tuned for Buchnevich’s replacement as we could get another solid option that correlates well with Kyrou.
Honorable Mention(s): Haula, Dadonov, Krebs, Yandle-Konecny

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

We’re FINALLY back with another Saturday Night Win Daily NHL Article! As I like to do towards the beginning of the season for those new to NHL DFS, I would recommend checking up on the “How To” article we released a while back for NHL DFS. Although some of the scoring systems may be a little out of date, the principles and strategy are exactly the same. I hope you had a very profitable opening week. Now, let’s get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 10/16 NHL slate, the slate begins at 7:00 pm ET. Don’t forget to lock your lines and check the discord for any updates! Let’s get into it!

Keep in mind!!! FanDuel has updated their NHL tournaments, and they now include two UTIL spots which have replaced two winger spots. DraftKings has stayed the same but don’t forget last season they revamped the scoring and added stats bonuses, so if you’re new to NHL or haven’t played in a while, check out our live stream on the WinDaily YouTube by clicking here and read through the rules on the site of your choice!

10/16 NHL Stack Report

  1. Pittsburgh Penguins 1
    Guentzel – Carter – Heinen (FanDuel: $19,600 | DraftKings: $17,800)
The Pens have one of the highest implied totals on the slate tonight and after two strong performances to start the season I’m not sure how much they’re missing their two star centres. Carter has filled in for them so well and has found instant chemistry with his new (and probably temporary linemates) Bryan Rust (update: with Rust out Heinen takes the spot on the top line) and Jake Guentzel. All three have already found the back of the net with Carter leading the charge with a goal and two assists for three points over his first two games of the season. They’re facing a Chicago team who was in a gruelling back and forth last night that went to overtime as they fell to the New Jersey devils, meaning that the Pens will be facing a tired Hawks lineup with a goalie in Fleury who was not too impressive in their 4-2 loss to the Avalanche. On a final note, keep an eye on Rust’s playing status as he left the last game early with an injury.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Kris Letang (FD: $6,100 | DK: $5,600)

Honorable Mention(s): EDM1 (Puljajarvi, McDavid, Draisaitl), CBJ2 (Bjorkstrand, Roslovic, Nyquist), LAK1 (Brown, Kopitar, Arvidsson), TBL1 (Palat, Point, Kucherov)

10/16 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best (Goalies to Roster)

  1. Elvis Merzlikins (FD: $7,500 | DK: $7,500)
  2. Darcy Kuemper (FD: $8,700 | DK: $8,100)
    Honorable Mention(s): Vasilevskiy, Hellebuyck, Khudobin

Worst (Goalies to Target)

  1. Jake Allen (FD: $7,600 | DK: $7,600)
    Honorable Mention(s): Nedjelkovic, Binnington, Grubauer

10/16 NHL Wild Card Targets

Nazem Kadri (FD: $5,400 | DK: $5,400)
We’re going back to the well with Kadri after that last game. It appears as though NMac still won’t be ready to suit up for the Aves and on that news, we need to utilize the value of Kadri while he’s still in this amazing spot since we know it won’t last. Kadri came through for us big time in this spot last game with a goal and an assist with 18 minutes of ice time, on Colorado’s top line!! Kadri stacks well with his linemates as well as defenseman Bowen Byram.
Honorable Mention(s): McCann, Tkachev, DeAngelo, Ekman-Larsson, Peterson, W. Nylander

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Connor McDavid

Winger Ondrej Palat

Defence Adam Fox

Goalie Elvis Merzlikins

We’re FINALLY back with another Wednesday Night Win Daily NHL Article! After a very crazy season that saw brand new divisions, late lineup changes (doesn’t happen often in NHL) and the Tampa Bay Lightning repeat as champions, we are back with our first decent-sized slate of the 2021-22 NHL Regular Season. As I like to do towards the beginning of the season for those new to NHL DFS, I would recommend checking up on the “How To” article we released a while back for NHL DFS. Although some of the scoring systems may be a little out of date, the principles and strategy are exactly the same. I hope you had a very profitable opening day. Now, let’s get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 10/13 NHL slate, the slate begins at 7:00 pm ET.

10/13 NHL Stack Report

  1. Edmonton Oilers 1
    Hyman – McDavid – Puljajarvi (FanDuel: $18,800 | DraftKings: $18,600)
For those who watched last season, it should come as no surprise that the top target is the one and only Connor McDavid. Connor was able to churn out an absolutely insane 105 points in 56 games. Thats nearly two points per game. No matter who the Hart Trophy (MVP award) winner gets paired up with will instantly get a huge boost to their value. As it stands right now, Daily Faceoff has Hyman and Puljajarvi on McDavids wings. I would recommend starting your builds with a two-man of McDavid and Hyman then building your team around those two. Theyre going up against a Canucks team that finished Dead Last in the North Division last season… yes even behind the Ottawa Senators. Aside from a few pickups from the cap stranded Coyotes, the Canucks didnt improve much over the offseason and will be starting a goalie in Thatcher Demko who struggled a bit in the 2021 campaign with a record of 16-18 with a 2.85 SV%. I couldnt be higher on McDavid and he pairs well with anyone who shares the ice with him. (Whether that be on even strength or on the power play… Connor plays on both power play units) On top of that the Oilers boast the highest implied goal total on the slate at 3.8. So they’re in an excellent position to start the year off right. Final Note: Vancouver was one of the most undisciplined teams in the league in 2021, if they take penalties against the Oilers, McDavid will make them pay dearly for it.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Tyson Barrie (FD: $5,900 | DK: $5,900)

Honorable Mention(s): MTL1 (Toffoli, Suzuki, Caufield) , NYR PP1 (Zibanejad, Panarin, Fox) , COL1 (Rantanen, Kadri, Landeskog)

10/13 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best (Goalies to Roster)

  1. Connor Hellebuyck (FD: $8,400 | DK: $7,900)
  2. Darcy Kuemper (FD: $8,600 | DK: $8,300)
    Honorable Mention(s): Mike Smith

Worst (Goalies to Target)

  1. John Gibson (FD: $6,800 | DK: $7,200)
Honorable Mention(s): Thatcher Demko, Jake Allen

10/13 NHL Wild Card Targets

Nazem Kadri (FD: $5,200 | DK: $5,200)
With MacKinnon out due to COVID protocol the crafty veteran center Nazem Kadri will be taking his spot on the top line. The upside is clearly tremendous as the Avalanche are paired up against the Chicago Blackhawks as the biggest favourites on the slate as well as the highest implied total on the slate. Kadri will see top-line minutes accompanied by two all-star wingers in Rantanen and Landeskog. Not to mention the Aves have one of the highest implied totals on the slate at 3.6 expected goals. Kadri is affordable on both sites and should be a strong value piece for tonight’s 5-game slate.
Honorable Mention(s): Caufield, Perfetti (New Rookie with potential), Podkolzin (New Rookie with potential), Bunting, T. Johnson (w/CHI1 – Kane, DeBrincat), K. Connor, Ritchie

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Connor McDavid

Winger Zach Hyman

Defence Adam Fox

Goalie Connor Hellebuyck

We’re back with another Wednesday Night Win Daily NHL Article! With the playoffs upon us, we are able to truly delve into some stellar matchups! Tonight we have a tiny 2-game slate ahead of us. With that in mind, there are some interesting plays to cover tonight, so let’s get right into it. Get ready for the newest edition of WinDaily’s Between the Benches! For tonight’s 6/5 NHL slate, the slate begins at 4:00 pm ET. Don’t forget to lock your lines and check the discord for any updates! Let’s get into it!

Keep in mind!!! FanDuel has updated their NHL tournaments, and they now include two UTIL spots which have replaced two winger spots. 6/5 NHL Stack Report

  1. Tampa Bay Lightning 1
    Kucherov – Point – Palat (FanDuel: $21,400 | DraftKings: $19,000)
This line has just absolutely dominated the playoff scoring race led by their MVP winger, Nikita Kucherov. Despite missing the whole regular season, Kucherov is now leading the league in playoff points and has already done some damage with three points in three games against the Canes. With the other game having a more defensive style I will definitely look to Tampa’s top line for my top offensive play. Not to mention, Tampa has the highest implied total of the slate at 3.1 and leads the series 2-1 over the Canes.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Victor Hedman (FD: $6,400 | DK: $5,800)

    Honorable Mention(s): BOS1, BOS2, NYI2, CAR2

6/5 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Andrei Vasilevskiy (FD: $8,200 | DK: $8,000)
  2. Tuukka Rask (FD: $8,300 | DK: $7,800)

Worst

  1. N/A (FD: $0,000 | DK: $0,000)

6/5 NHL Wild Card Targets

Anthony Beauvilier (FD: $6,600 | DK: $5,600)
Beauvilier has just found another gear in these playoffs and even when he’s not scoring his output has been so high that he doesn’t end up being a bust. Prior to his last game, Tito was on a 6-game point streak and he is currently a point per game player in the playoffs after a crazy end to the regular season. Because he’s been playing well for so long now, his price does reflect the long-term consistency in point production, but he is still a strong play coming into tonight’s game against Tuukka Rask and the Boston Bruins.
Honorable Mention(s): McAvoy, Killorn, Hamilton, Staal

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre David Krejci

Winger Nikita Kucherov

Defence Charlie McAvoy

Goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy

6/2 NHL Stack Report

  1. Colorado Avalanche 1
    Landeskog – MacKinnon – Rantanen (FanDuel: $24,400 | DraftKings: $22,800)
Last game was… uncompetitive. In the words of Max Pacioretty, we saw the best team in the league play last game and a 7-1 playoff game was the result. This line took the reigns on those seven goals, participating in five of the seven and all seven if you include Cale Makar. Having Fleury back in goal will definitely help the Golden Knights cause, and I don’t expect them to get beaten down that bad again but this line has been unstoppable for a few seasons now and it appears as though these playoffs are no different. For perspective, all three forwards are in the top 6 in playoff points. It also seems like MacKinnon is carving his path towards a Conn Smythe if he manages to keep up his current level of play.
Ideal Defensive Partner(s): Cale Makar (FD: $6,000 | DK: $5,800)

    Honorable Mention(s): MTL2, WPG1, VGK1

6/2 NHL Goalie Tracker

Best

  1. Connor Hellebuyck (FD: $8,000 | DK: $7,900)
  2. Philip Grubauer (FD: $8,500 | DK: $8,300)

Worst

  1. N/A (FD: $0,000 | DK: $0,000)

6/2 NHL Wild Card Targets

Cole Caufield (FD: $3,300 | DK: $4,900)
Caufield currently appears to be the future of the Canadiens. Not to mention, he plays alongside some of Montreal’s top talent in Nick Suzuki and Tyler Toffoli. Caufield had a somewhat productive series against the Leafs once Ducharme finally decided to play him but coming into the series against the Winnipeg Jets his speed will be a huge factor in Montreal’s offensive and power play strategies. Caufield plays on the second line as well as the second power play line alongside both Suzuki and Toffoli.
Honorable Mention(s): Toews, Burakovsky, Tuch, Martinez, Perry, Ehlers

Core Four: (ALWAYS BE STACKIN’)

Centre Nathan MacKinnon

Winger Kyle Connor or Tyler Toffoli

Defence Cale Makar

Goalie Connor Hellebuyck
