All-Star Break MLB DFS Winners and Losers:

We had a full 15-game slate of baseball on Saturday July 6. Some players outperformed their expected production with excellent hitting and other marquee players struggled. All points and price values are based off Draftkings.

Winners-

Anthony Santander ($3,800)

Anthony Santander went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI and a run scored against the Toronto Blue Jays last night. Even though he failed to get an extra base hit during the game, he was slapping the baseball around and being productive. He was a key factor in the Orioles picking up the win.

Santander’s Outlook

Santander has been doing well offensively in the past 30 games he’s appeared in: ..284 average with four home runs and 15 RBI with .345 OBP. The Orioles wrap up the first half of their season this afternoon with Trent Thorton and the Blue Jays. Thorton does not pose that lofty of a challenge, so get Santander in your lineup if you are looking for an inexpensive outfielder.

Robbie Ray ($7,900)

Ray looked sharp against the Colorado Rockies last night, going six strong innings and allowing one run on two hits and eight strikeouts. The only issue for Ray was the free passes as he allowed five walks. Even with his lack of control with the baseball, lock in Ray in his next start as he still has the ability to provide value.

Ray’s Outlook

Ray has been giving up a large amount of runs lately, posting a 4.50 ERA in his previous seven starts. However, four of those were classified as quality starts. The one big issue is his control with Ray averages around four-and-a-half walks per nine innings. Once he figures out how to control his pitches a bit more, Ray will be a top-of-the-rotation starter. Ray’s next start will be against either the Cardinals or Rangers depending on the way the DBacks set their rotation for the second half of the season.

Losers

Jake Arrieta ($6,800)

Jake Arrieta did not pitch well against the division-rival New York Mets last night. He went just 4.1 innings and allowed six runs (five earned) on 11 hits with four strikeouts in a losing effort. The Mets are not the best offensive team in the league and were able to affect Arrieta by hitting the baseball all over Citi Field.

Arrieta’s Outlook

Arrieta has looked awful lately for the Phillies, posting a 6.63 ERA in his past seven outings with a WHIP north of 1.7 in that span. The All-Star break couldn’t come any sooner for him. He should be avoided until he could put a few solid starts in a row together.

Gary Sanchez ($4,400)

Gary Sanchez was unable to put a single ball in play against the Tampa Bay Rays yesterday, going 0-for-4 with every at-bat ending in strike three. Sanchez is taking pitches inside the zone and swinging at ones outside and looks like the All-Star break will do him wonders. He probably will be out of today’s lineup going into the All-Star break but if he is available, fade him.

Sanchez’s Outlook

Gary Sanchez is lost at the plate right now. In his last week of games, he is batting .071 with 11 strikeouts. His hitting ability is drastically improved from the 2018 campaign, but he has hit a wall and the All-Star break could do him some good with an extended rest. The Yankees finish off their four-game set with the Rays this afternoon.

Injury Update

The Minnesota Twins placed CJ. Cron on the 10-day IL with a thumb injury.

Madison Bumgarner of the San Francisco Giants exited his start early after being struck with a line drive.

DFS Hitting Stacks for July 3rd: Subway Slammers

Wednesday’s MLB actionincludes some big-time offenses in great spots for DFS purposes. So below wehave four stacks to target as you assemble your Daily Fantasy Sports entries.

New York Yankees

The New York Mets will be starting Jason Vargas on the bump in this one. Vargas is a guy that the Yankees should be able to get to. The right-hander has a 5.05 SIERA and a 5.09 xFIP while striking out just 20% of the batters he has faced in 2019. We will want to get some exposure in our DFS lineups.

So of course, we want to load up on some Yankees in our DFS lineups and our New York stack will start with Gary Sanchez (FanDuel: $4,200 DraftKings: $4,700). Sanchez has an ISO north of .300 versus left-handed pitching. Some other Yankee’s bats worth considering are: Edwin Encarnacion (FanDuel: $4,100 DraftKings: $4,300) and Gleyber Torres (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $4,600). Both have ISOs above .200 versus righties in 2019. And do not forget about Aaron Judge (FanDuel: $4,500 DraftKings: $4,800) and D.J. LeMahieu (FanDuel: $4,500 DraftKings: $5,200). Both of these Yankees have wOBAs greater than .400 against lefties in 2019.

Houston Astros

With the Astros having already hit 98 home runs against right-handed pitching this season, it is safe to say they have a really good chance of tacking a few more onto that total in this one. Not only are they playing in Coors Field, but the Rockies’ Peter Lambert is allowing 2.55 HR/9. Load up on the Astros in your DFS entries.

Lambert has really struggled at home this season. He is allowing a .478 wOBA and a 46% hard contact rate in Colorado in 2019. So feel free to stack any combination of Astros. But you will want to pay particular attention to the lefty bats in the Houston lineup. Lambert is allowing a .440/.444/1.040 slash line to lefties at home this season. With that in mind, we will want to start our DFS Astros’ build with Yordan Alvarez (FanDuel: $4,400 DraftKings: $5,500), if he is healthy enough to get back in the lineup. The Houston slugger has a .400 ISO and a .424 wOBA against righties this season.

Colorado Rockies

Any time the Rockies’ offense is opposed by a lefty, they have to be considered for DFS stacking purposes. Against left-handed pitching this season, Colorado has been very successful. As a team, they have a .200 ISO and a .340 wOBA against left-handed pitching. And when they get to face a left-hander in the thin air of Colorado they are a no-brainer DFS stacking option.

So, your Colorado DFS building blocks should include the likes of: Ian Desmond (FanDuel: $3,300 DraftKings: $4,500), Nolan Arenado (FanDuel: $4,600 DraftKings: $5,300), Charlie Blackmon (FanDuel: $4,500 DraftKings: $5,800) and David Dahl (FanDuel: $3,900 DraftKings: $5,200). All four of these Rockies’ batters have accumulated at least a .230 ISO versus left-handed pitching.

Boston Red Sox

You are going to want to pick on Toronto’s Sean Reid-Foley in your DFS lineups on Wednesday. Reid-has a 5.75 SIERA and a 6.46 xFIP as well as a low 9.9% swing strike rate. The Blue Jays’ starter is not missing many bats.

We want to build our Boston’ DFS stack starting with the usual suspects: Mookie Betts (FanDuel: $4,100 DraftKings: $4,400), Rafael Devers (FanDuel: $4,100 DraftKings: $4,700) and Xander Bogaerts (FanDuel: $4,200 DraftKings: $4,600). These three batters have ISOs greater than .200 against right-handed pitching.

Washington Nationals

In 65 career at-bats against the Marlins’ Sandy Alcantara, the Nationals’ current roster has a .369/.431/.706 slash line. In particular Anthony Rendon (FanDuel: $4,400 DraftKings: $5,500) and Juan Soto (FanDuel: $4,200 DraftKings: $5,000) have been excellent against the Miami starter. Combined, the players are 9-for-23 with three home runs and eight RBIs against Alcantara and are excellent DFS building blocks for Wednesday.

Catcher

Gary Sanchez, TOR vs. NYY

DK ($5,600) FD ($4,400)

Well you are going to have to pay up for to “unleash the Kraken” today but it is difficult to argue that it won’t be worth it. The whole Yankee lineup is in play as the face a bad left-handed starter in Clayton Richard. For the season, Richard has given up five HRs in 25.1 innings with 29 hits and 21 earned runs allowed. Do me a favor please: if you are going to the Bronx to watch baseball tonight and have seats in the left-field bleachers, bring a glove.

First Base

Edwin Encarncion/Luke Voit, TOR at NYY

DK ($5,200) FD ($4,000) and DK ($4,800) ($3,700)

As you may or may not know, I am a die-hard Red Sox fan. I was born and raised (and lived the first 33 years of my life) in a small central Massachusetts town. One of the most memorable nights of my life was a certain October evening in 2004. Why am I saying this? Because I have to hand it to the Yankees. This lineup they have assembled maybe the best of recent MLB history. So deep and powerful, especially against lefties. So, it is tough to pick just one of this duo tonight against Clayton Richard.

Second Base

Hanser Alberto, SD at BAL

DK ($3,400) FD ($2,500)

We are going to need to get some savings so why not get a guy who will likely be batting leadoff in an extreme hitter’s park? Against lefties, and the Padres are throwing out a southpaw in rookie Logan Allen, Alberto has been incredible. 41 hits in only 101 official ABs, that is over .400 folks!!, with 11 runs scored, 11 RBI and two stolen bases. Pair him with another Oriole like Mancini or Nunez and pocket the savings.

Third Base

Renato Nunez, SD at BAL

DK ($3,700) FD ($2,600)

This is strange as Nunez is listed as a first baseman on DK. Having him with third baseman eligibility like he has on FD would have been very nice! Anyways, this guy is a lefty masher in 2019. He has eight HRs in exactly 100 official ABs against lefties this season. He will most likely be slotted into the cleanup spot. Did I mention that Oriole Park at Camden Yards is an extreme hitter’s park?

Shortstop

Manny Machado/Fernando Tatis Jr., SD at BAL

DK ($5,500) FD ($3,900) DK($5,700) FD($3,800)

Let us stay in the comfy confines of Camden Yards. The Orioles pitching staff is historically bad, giving up by far the most HRs in all of MLB this year. Again, position eligibility weirdness caused me to both of these Padre righties in this column. On DK, both of these players are eligible at SS. On FD, Machado is a third baseman. In either case, these players are in smash spots today, with the Orioles planning to use Jimmy Yacobonis (who has a 4.70 ERA and 1.44 WHIP on the season) and then possibly going with lefty bullpen arm Josh Rodgers (8.25 ERA and 1.50 WHIP) as the primary pitcher. I do not know about you, but to me this sounds like a potential disaster for Baltimore.

Outfield

Ronald Acuna Jr, ATL at CHC

DK ($5,000) FD ($4,200)

Acuna’s price went down by $100 on FD while going up by $200 on DK. What is the icons to give me a shrugging shoulders? Wrigley Field, though mildly disappointing last night, will see similar weather with a nice breeze blowing out to right. This should give lefty bats and right-handed bats with opposite field power a boost. The latter description screams Javier Baez but in reality Acuna Jr. should not be far behind when it comes to that.

Giancarlo Stanton, TOR at NYY

DK ($4,600) FD ($4,200)

Stanton hit his first HR of 2019 last night. With all this mashing that the Yankees have done this season, let that sink in. If Judge and Stanton get it going…watch out. Anyways, Stanton against a struggling lefty, yes please.

Aaron Judge, TOR at NYY

DK ($4,700) FD ($4,300)

Stanton hit his first HR last night….Judge gets his first one since returning from injury tonight.

DFS Winners

Drew Pomeranz ($6,300)

Drew Pomeranz had a solid DFS start against the Colorado Rockies last night. He picked up the loss but went five innings with two runs on five hits. He also had two walks and 11 strikeouts. The amount of Ks in five innings made Giants history.

Pomeranz’s DFS Outlook

Drew Pomeranz had a good game on the mound but the offense was blanked. His next scheduled start is Saturday against the Diamondbacks, who are a lesser hitting team than the Rockies. Consider Pomeranz on the next DFS slate.

Christian Walker ($3,800)

Christian Walker had a solid game last night, going 2-3 with a home run, three RBI, two runs and a walk. Look for the hot streak to continue into today’s game against the Dodgers.

Walker’s DFS Outlook

Walker has been the hottest hitter in baseball in the past week, going 11-24 with two homers and seven RBI. Walker should be a lock in all DFS slates, especially with the small price tag.

DFS Losers

Julio Teheran ($8,100)

Teheran struggled yesterday against the Chicago Cubs, going just four innings, and he gave up seven runs on nine hits with three walks and two strikeouts. He picked up the loss as well. Teheran struggled but should be in your DFS lineups when he gets back on the mound.

Teheran’s DFS Outlook

Teheran did not have his stuff yesterday. His ERA rose to 3.94 after this outing and he picked up his sixth loss on the season. His next scheduled DFS start is Saturday against the New York Mets, who do not scare opposing pitchers.

Gary Sanchez ($5,600)

Gary Sanchez struggled at the plate last night, going hitless in four at-bats with two strikeouts and he left four guys on base. He did draw a walk but that was the only positive production. He should get back to normal for DFS purposes during today’s game.

Sanchez’s DFS Outlook

Sanchez had an off-day at the plate but he has been really good in the past 30 games for DFS purposes. In that span he is 33-for-116 with 11 home runs and 30 RBI with 11 walks. With the production around Sanchez in the lineup, it is difficult to see him slumping for a decent length of time.

DFS Injury Update

Jordan Hicks of the St. Louis Cardinals had a MRI reveal a torn right UCL. He and the team are determining the next steps.

Tyler Glasnow of the Tampa Bay Rays has been shut down for three weeks after feeling discomfort while throwing in Oakland.

Corey Seager of the Los Angeles Dodgers is progressing well from a left hamstring strain and claims to feel zero pain while walking.

The Yankees’ catcher has a .376 ISO versus right-handed pitchers in 2019. Sanchez also has a .399 wOBA and a 152 wRC+ against righties. Sanchez should take advantage and keep crushing righties in this one.

First Base – Freddie Freeman vs. Cole Irvin

FanDuel: $4,500 DraftKings: $5,500

Do not be scared to go lefty on lefty here. Freeman has a .279 ISO and a .404 wOBA against southpaws this season. The Phillies’ Cole Irvin is allowing a .387 wOBA to lefties in 2019.

Second Base – Ozzie Albies vs. Cole Irvin

The Braves’ Albies has a .209 ISO, a .378 wOBA and a 133 wRC+ versus left-handed pitching in 2019. Look for those numbers to jump up after this meeting with Cole Irvin. The lefty is allowing 1.76 HR/9 against right-handed batters this season.

Shortstop –Trea Turner vs. Archie Bradley/Zack Godley

In seven of his last eight games, Turner has recorded double-digit DFS points. Look for more of the same here. Turner owns a .278 ISO and a .353 wOBA vs righties this season.

Outfield – Mike Trout vs. Ryan Stanek

FanDuel: $4,600 DraftKings: $5,700

Any time you can get the best player in baseball in your DFS lineup, it is probably a good idea. Trout is in a great spot to succeed in this one.

Outfield – J.D. Martinez vs. John Means

FanDuel: $4,300 Draftkings: $5,400

Death, taxes and J.D. Martinez versus lefties. The lefty killer is at it again this season. Martinez has a .436 ISO, .496 wOBA and a 215 wRC+ against left-handed pitching in 2019.

FanDuel: $2,000 DraftKings: $3,000

Keon Broxton

FanDuel: $2,300 DraftKings: $3,400

Harrison Bader

Top Stacks

New York Yankees:

It seems like you always want to try to get as many Yankees’ bats into your DFS lineups as you can. Today is no different, especially with the White Sox’s Odrisamer Despaigne on the bump. The Chicago right-hander has a 7.15 SIERA in six innings pitched in 2019. Things surely are set up for the Yankees’ offense to succeed on Sunday.

Boston Red Sox:

John Means could be in for a long one here. The Orioles’ starter has a 4.96 xFIP and a 4.51 SIERA this season. And now he faces a hot Boston offense that has a .241 ISO and a .350 wOBA over the last seven days. Means should be in trouble early and often here so stack up all the Red Sox that you can.

Minnesota Twins:

The Royals’ Jakob Junis is a guy we want to attack today. He has a 5.35 ERA to go along with 42.9 hard contact rate. But equally important is the fact that the Twins have crushed right-handed pitching all season. As an offense, Minnesota has a .248 ISO against righties.

Value Stacks

Miami Marlins:

The Pirates’ Chris Archer is having a disastorous season. He is allowing a flyball rate of 39.8% and those flyballs are getting hit hard. He has a 43.4% hard contact rate. He is allowing 2.41 HR/9 this season. The Marlins may not be the most intimidating offense, but with their highest priced starter on FanDuel coming in at just $3,200, Miami is in play on Sunday.

Baltimore Orioles:

Brian Johnson has struggled in his brief time in the Majors. He has accumulated a 12.71 ERA and 6.03 xFIP. Johnson also has a 55% flyball rate as well as a 55% hard contact rate. The Orioles are not priced accordingly so take advantage of some value on Sunday.

DFS Hitting Stacks for 6/13: Kicking Kikuchi

Minnesota Twins

If you areplaying the early or all-day slates, you will want to be sure to get someexposure to the Twins. Minnesota has demonstrated an ability to hit the longball against lefties this season. As an offense they have a .212 ISO and a .373wOBA versus southpaws. Their success against lefties should continue today atthe expense of Yusei Kikuchi.

The Seattle starter is allowing a .348 wOBA to righties this season. And the best righty stick on the Twins belongs to Nelson Cruz (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $4,800). The slugger has a .424 ISO and a .443 wOBA against lefties this season.

There are a good number of options to pair with Cruz that will make for a dangerous stack. C.J. Cron (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $4,600) owns a .404 ISO versus lefties. Miguel Sano (FanDuel: $3,600 DraftKings: $4,300), Mitch Garver (FanDuel: $3,500 DraftKings: $5,200), Bryon Buxton (FanDuel: $3,200 DraftKings: $4,400) and Ehire Adrianza (FanDuel: $2,200 DraftKings: $3,300) all have ISOs greater than .220 against southpaws this season.

The Minnesotaoffense has all the makings of a DFS winner on Thursday.

Colorado Rockies

The San Diego Padres will be activating Matt Strahm from the IL in time to make the start on Thursday. This is very good news for the Rockies’ sluggers. Strahm owns a 42.3% flyball rate. Not only does he allow a bunch of flyballs, the Padres’ starter has a 47.2% hard contact rate. A flyball pitcher that gets hit hard will be starting in Colorado, what could go wrong?

Plan on a lot going wrong for the Padres’ southpaw. The Rockies should do plenty of damage against Strahm. And that damage is likely to come from Nolan Arenado (FanDuel: $4,800 DraftKings: $5,600). The third baseman has punished lefties all season with a .391 ISO and a .467 wOBA versus them. Our projections really like Arenado as well. And Arenadoisn’t alone when it comes to giving lefties a tough time. Ian Desmond (FanDuel:$3,600 DraftKings: $4,400), Ryan McMahon (FanDuel: $3,300 DraftKings: $4,300),Charlie Blackmon (FanDuel: $4,400 DraftKings: $5,800) and even Mark Reynolds (FanDuel:$2,700 DraftKings: $3,600) all have ISOs above .200 versus lefties this season.

The Rockies’ offense will be popular today and deservedly so.

New York Yankees

Catcher

Gary Sanchez, NYY vs. NYM

DK ($5,100) FD ($4,200)

I literally looked at the catching selections for about one whole second, as this was one of the easiest recommendations of the season. Sanchez’ season-long numbers are just ridiculous, with the slugging catcher hitting 19 dingers this season en route to a .959 OPS. Those numbers are nice but his peripherals are simply amazing. In fact, Sanchez is one of the league leaders with a .433 xwOBA, .700 xSLG and .364 ISO. That simply means he’s hitting the crap out of the ball and we love him against Jason Vargas. Since 2017, Sanchez is posting a .522 SLG and .865 OPS against southpaws and gets to face a pitcher who is posting a 5.00 xFIP and 1.35 WHIP in a hitter’s haven like Yankee Stadium.

First Base

Luke Voit

DK ($4,400) FD ($4,200)

Let’s keep the Yankees rolling with their powerful first baseman. Voit’s numbers since joining the Bronx Bombers are simply bonkers, with the first baseman posting a .947 OPS and .563 SLG in that span. That’s backed up by an xwOBA north of .400 and he’s simply developed into one of the best bats in the American League. Those numbers would put him in consideration against anyone, especially a lefty gas can like Vargas. Voit is providing a .933 OPS against southpaws since the beginning of 2017.

Second Base

Cesar Hernandez, PHI vs. ARI

DK ($3,600) FD ($2,800)

With Andrew McCutchen out for the year, Hernandez’s value has risen exponentially because of his move to the leadoff spot. While he hasn’t had any big games since moving up, the fact that he’s averaging nearly five at-bats a game in that role alone makes him an attractive option. We’re talking about a guy with a .277 average and .776 OPS. That’s all you can ask for from someone so cheap and it doesn’t even take into consideration that he’ll be batting atop a lineup projected for more than five runs. The reason for that total is because Philly is squaring off with Taylor Clarke, who posted a 7.22 ERA and 1.60 WHIP at Triple-A this season. We also love that Hernandez gets to face a righty, with the lefty second baseman posting an .842 OPS against right-handers so far this season.

Third Base

Matt Carpenter, STL at MIA

DK ($4,000) FD ($3,400)

While Carpenter has struggled the first two months of the season, this price is simply too cheap for someone of his ability. We’re talking about a perennial All-Star candidate who bats atop one of the best lineups in baseball. In his career, Carpenter is posting a .386 OBP and .866 OPS against right-handed pitching. That’s monster production from a player in this price range and recent results would indicate that he’s climbing out of his slump. Over his last 18 games, Carpenter is hitting .279 while providing an .894 OPS.

Shortstop

Gleyber Torres, NYY vs. NYM

DK ($4,300) FD ($3,400)

Let’s finish off our Yankees stack with their slugging shortstop. The aforementioned Vargas numbers put all of these Yankees in play, as their projected run total is easily one of the highest on the slate. Torres is a major reason why, as he’s got a .521 SLG and .842 OPS against lefties since his call-up last year. That’s nearly identical to his season-long numbers and it’s hard to understand why he’s in the $4,000-range. Stacking Yankees is easily one of the best strategies on this slate and it’s actually reasonably affordable with Torres and Voit at such nice bargains.

Outfield

Juan Soto, WSH at CWS

DK ($5,100) FD ($3,900)

Not many people realize this but Soto is arguably the hottest hitter in the league right now. Over his last 21 games, Soto is hitting .385 while providing a .462 OBP and 1.128 OPS. That’s obviously absurd and it’s pretty much the guy we’ve seen since his call-up last season. Getting the platoon advantage in the icing on the cake, with the Washington outfielder posting a .415 OBP and .936 OPS against righties for his career. Journeyman,Odrisamer Despaigne is not a guy we need to fear either, as his 5.54 ERA and 1.49 WHIP since the beginning of 2015 shows why he was in the minors.

Corey Dickerson, PIT at ATL

DK ($3,900) FD ($3,000)

Many people are forgetting about Dickerson because he just came off the IL but this guy has made a name for himself by destroying righties. In his career, Dickerson is posting a .526 SLG and .836 OPS against right-handed pitching. Getting that sort of production from a player this cheap is extremely rare, especially in such a premium matchup. Over his last two starts, Gausman has allowed 15 runs and 20 hits, which has skyrocketed his ERA to 6.15. Dickerson pairs beautifully with Gregory Polanco, as these guys make a sneaky two-man stack against the struggling Gausman.

Eloy Jimenez, CWS vs. WSH

DK ($3,100) FD ($2,800)

Jimenez is one of the highest touted prospects in the Majors and that makes this price simply ridiculous. We’re talking about a guy who provided historical numbers at the minor league level, with Jimenez posting a .326/.382/.573 slash line since 2017. That equates to an OPS just shy of 1.000 and an ISO in the .250 range. Those are elite statistics and it’s just a matter of time before we see that sort of ability at the Major League level. Recent results are really promising too, with Jimenez entering this game in the midst of a six-game hitting streak while going yard in back-to-back games. That sort of power potential is particularly intriguing against Anibal Sanchez, who ranks in the Top-3 in dingers allowed since 2015.

Gary Sanchez/Gleyber Torres/ Luke Voit Over 0.5 Home Runs

I’m 8-3 over my last 11 MFK picks, so if you’re not taking these recommendations, I don’t know what you’re thinking. I’ve actually yet to pick a home run parade prop as of yet but I absolutely love this pick today. There’s really not much explanation needed because I wrote up all of these guys but I’d genuinely be surprised if none of them hit a homer. The main reason for that is because they all get the platoon advantage against Jason Vargas, who’s posting a 5.05 ERA and 1.39 WHIP since the beginning of last season, which is miraculously lower than his xFIP. That’s why the Yankees are projected for nearly six runs, hitting in a little league park like Yankee Stadium.

Gary Sanchez ($4,500 FD & $5,500 DK): Last night I mentioned the Yankees right-handed bats for multiple reasons, which basically boiled down to an advantageous stadium and a right-handed pitcher that just didn’t have the ability to work through a great Yankee lineup. The same holds true tonight. Edwin Jackson is not pitching well at the moment. Yes, he’s drawn some unlucky starts like one in Coors, but he’s also seen San Francisco in one of the largest stadiums in the league. So, after four starts I think it’s safe to say Edwin Jackson has a another tough matchup that he will not have the ability to get through. Let me rattle off some stats: Jackson is 0-4 with a 13.22 ERA this season. Right-handed batters are hitting .447 against Jackson with six home runs. This is a Gary Sanchez kind of night! Do I dare say double dong potential? Sure. Lock in thes Yankee bats on this small five game slate.

First Base

Luke Voit ($4,300 FD & $4,900 DK): Voit has been boom-or-bust as of late and I think the same applies for tonight. Home run(s) or bust in this one. Playing both Sanchez and Voit is a strategy I like to implement on FanDuel because it immediately takes your UTL and first base position out of play. Most are hesitant to do this but I think it’s a good strategy to separate your Yankee stack from the pack.

Second Base

I swear after this I’m only writing up one more Yankee. I just want to be clear about who I believe should make up this Yankee stack. Along with Voit and Sanchez, D.J. LeMahieu ($3,800 FD & $4,400 DK) clearly belongs in this stack. After hitting last nights homer, he’s officially the hottest Yankee with the highest floor. Lock in LeMahieu as the third member of your Yankee stack. Keep in mind that your key decisions on a small slate aren’t necessarily what team you want to stack, but what players to include within your stack. The Yankees are favored at -195 with 10 under/over. Lock and load.

Third Base

Renato Nunez ($3,600 FD & $5,200 DK): Check out that price differential between FanDuel and DraftKings. Nunez is a great FanDuel play in a hitter’s park, facing a rookie pitcher. Simple stuff. Nunez is facing Ariel Jurado, who is allowing a .279 BA with four home runs to opposing right-handed batters, while allowing a mere .200 BA with no home runs to opposing lefties. We have ourselves some reverse splits here. Baltimore right-handed batters have the advantage over left-handed batters. Against a right-handed pitcher this is relativity rare. Lock in your Oriole righties, not lefties tonight as they set to face the Texas Rangers as slight underdogs with a 10.5 under/over.

Shortstop

Francisco Lindor ($3,900 FD & 4,800 DK): Lindor is on a tear! Recent game logs are through the roof and I don’t see Jose Berrios slowing him down. Lindor is batting .294 against Berrios in 19 at-bats. Cleveland is at EVEN odds with an 8.5 under/over. Don’t think too much here, lock him in.

Outfield

Khris Davis ($3,600 FD & $3,900 DK): Davis owns a .389 BA in 28 at-bats with two doubles and four home runs. This is consistent domination. And that’s all we’re really looking for at the end of the day, consistency.

Mike Trout ($4,800 FD & $5,700 DK): Trout is batting .381 with four doubles and two home runs in 26 at-bats vs. Mike Fiers. This is definitely a slate where a value pitcher should come into play as I want many of these expensive batters.

Cameron Maybin ($2,400 FD & $3,700 DK): The last Yankee in my four man Yankee stack for tonight. Maybin is batting .429 in 10 at-bats against Jackson. On a night where we need to find value, Maybin comes in as a solid value play with a high floor.

Monkey Knife Fight Picks of the Day

It should come as no surprise that we’ll be going to the Yankee game for this one and why not go big again for 19x our money! Let’s start with Happ. We’re going to take the OVER on 5.5 strikeouts as Toronto does swing and miss on the slider very often, not to mention Happ owns a .250 OBA against Toronto while fanning 10 of 28 faced batters for a 35 % strikeout rate, I would say that’s crazy but it is in a very small sample size so let’s not get too excited.

After selecting the OVER for Happ’s prop, we move onto Grichuk at 1.5 total bases. After hitting two home runs last night, Grichuk has homered in two straight, totaling three over his last two. We’re going to lock in the OVER for Grichuk for sure and just to save time Gary Sanchez is next and you guys know I like me some Sanchez tonight. The first three parlays we’re going to lock in OVER, OVER, OVER. Aaron Hicks has a lop-sided prop here as I see him totaling way more then 1.5 hits + walks, so once again we’re going OVER. Lastly, Luke Voit at 1.5 hits + walks. I do expect a home run (or two), therefore we can only assume Voit will total more then 1.5 hits + walks. All five props I believe will go over.
