This Sunday August 11th slate is all about landing the right bats. Follow my stud and value plays and lock in the MLB DFS Picks of Destiny.

Check out our Data Driven Projections for FanDuel Hitters for Premium Gold Members.

Catcher: Christian Vazquez ($2,700 FD) has gone deep seven times in 111 at bats this season. He is .257 ISO/.370 wOBA. Although he is not my favorite Red Sox bat (JD Martinez) he is going to have his opportunity to help clear the bases vs Patrick Sandoval in his second big league game this season. Sandoval has a 6.42 ERA and a 11.6% walk rate in AAA this year. Vazquez helps round out MLB DFS Red Sox stacks.

Catcher Value: Wilson Ramos ($2,500 FD) struggled basically all season but turned it on recently. In his last seven games he is hitting .316/.632 .SLG with two home runs. Opposing pitcher Aninbal Sanchez has been fine (3.67 ERA) but he can get hit. He has given up a at least a run in every game since May 29th. I don’t love the play honestly, but at $2,500, on a hot Mets team, it may be worth a MLB DFS shot.

Honorable Mention: Matt Weiters, Nick Dini

First Base Stud: Freddie Freeman ($4,400 FD) is hitting third behind two of my favorite bats today in Albies and Acuna. He has 11 hits in his last six games and gets the Marlins bullpen today. Hector Noesi pitches for the Marlins and he is gonna go down fast (more analysis under Braves bats listed below). Freeman is hitting .342/.684 .SLG in August. A small bonus is I tend to like bats that have also hit in a home run derby in the park they are playing in before, which Freeman has done in Miami.

First Base Value: Sam Travis ($2,900 FD) is hitting .241 ISO/.346 wOBA with four home runs in 54 ABs vs lefties this year. He should be batting fifth and gets the platoon advantage with the Red Sox. Opposing pitcher Patrick Sandoval (6.42 ERA in AAA) is in for a long (or short) day at Fenway. (see JD Martinez below)

Second Base: Ozzie Albies ($3,800 FD) has been thriving out of the two hole recently. He takes on Hector Noesi and the Marlins in what I expect to be a high scoring Braves day. Noesi has a 9 ERA this season (small sample size) with a 5.35 ERA on his career. Braves are one of my top stacks today. Albies is hitting .467/.844 SLG/1.333 OPS in August.

Second Base Top Value: Aledmys Diaz

Second Base Value: Starlin Castro ($2,200 FD) is just too cheap. He scored 75.1 FanDuel points in his last THREE games (I bet you didn’t know that). I do like Mike Foltynewicz pitching for the Braves today, and think they get the win, but I may be forced to take the value with Castro. At $2,200, you don’t need much for MLB DFS value.

Honorable mentions: Jose Altuve, Jeff McNeil, Rougned Odor

Third Base Base: Gio Urshela ($4,300 FD) of the Yankees has six home runs in five days. Over the last 15 days he is batting .467/1.067 SLG. Trent Thornton (5.33 ERA) is on the mound today and my guess is he didn’t sleep so well last night knowing who is he to face today. Yankees lost their last two in Toronto and only put up six runs total. My bet is they put enough on the board today to ensure a win and keep their playoff momentum building. If it ain’t broke…

Third Base Value:  Nothing under 3k I like at all.

Honorable Mention: Josh Donaldson (to round out Braves stack), Alex Bregman

Short Stop: Carlos Correa ($3,900 FD) has six double digit MLB DFS fantasy outings in his last seven games hitting .368/.737 SLG with two homers. Asher Wojciechowski (R) is on the mound for the Orioles and does have some strike out ability however he has also given up nine runs in his last nine innings. The Astros just put up 23 runs last night so the odds are not in Asher’s favor today.

Short Stop Value: Didi Gregorious ($3,200 FD) is too cheap. Before yesterdays goose egg he was on a six game hit streak. I expect the Yankees to put up a lot of runs today on Trent Thornton and DiDi is batting third (check lineup when it drops). Gregorious hits better on the road .308 vs .200 and is in a good bounce back spot this afternoon.

Honorable Value: Johan Camargo, Charlie Culberson $2,200

Outfield Stud: Ronald Acuna Jr ($4,400 FD) has 14 homers agains the Marlins in 33 career games. As a Braves fan, I know he hates the Marlins (thank you Jose Urena) and wants to take them deep every AB. He is also HOT right now scoring double digit FanDuel points in nine of his last 11 ABs. During that span he also has seven home runs. He faces Hector Noesi and the Marlins bullpen. The last, and only start, for Noesi this year he gave up five runs in five innings. Acuna lock button.

Outfield Stud 2: JD Martinez ($4,500 FD) mashes lefties and gets Patrick Sandoval today. He had a respectable outing vs the Reds his last start only surrendering two runs in five innings with eight K’s, but that isn’t going to happen again today. Sandoval has a 6.42 ERA and a 11.6% walk rate in AAA this year. Martinez hits lefties better than anyone on the Sox and carries a .400/.576 .SLG/1.333 OPS on the SEASON.

Honorable Mention: Michael Conforto, Mike Tauchman, Yordan Alvarez, Max Kepler

Outfield Mid: Aristido Aquino ($3,600) has to be mentioned after hitting three homers just last night. In his brief MLB career he is hitting lefties .833 ISO/.824 wOBA. Of course these number are bit inflated because of sample size but there is not doubt the Aquino has been impressive. Southpaw John Lester (.439 ERA) is on the mound, and although not terrible, giving up multiple home runs games is in his wheelhouse. Look, Aquino isn’t going to hit three home runs again, but he will be trying for one. I do have concerns about the Cubs not pithing to him in the zone like they did late in last nights game (after he hit three bombs). Either way Aquino is getting on base. He feels safe.

Honorable Mention: Chris Owings, Cameron Maybin, Brian Goodwin

I primary used FanDuel when building optimal MLB DFS lineups.

This Saturday July 27th slate is all about landing the right bats. Follow my stud and value plays and lock in the MLB DFS Picks of Destiny.

MLB DFS Bats: Twins are Cruzing

Twins. Look, I am 100% sold on the Twins today for my MLB DFS stacks. If they don’t deliver, so be it. I will break down the players below. They face off against Ivan Nova, who has a 5.94 ERA and is very likely to give up multiple homers (again) today. The Twins are En Fuego right now and I will take as many as I can get.

Position Rankings and Values

Check out our Data Driven Projections for FanDuel Hitters for Premium Gold Members.

Catcher: Mitch Garver ($3,600 FD; $5,400 DK) boasts a .322 IS0 and .395 wOBA vs right handed pitchers. I am expecting the Twins to put on an absolute show and Garver should be a part of it. Ivan Nova is in for a bludgeoning tonight. In his last six games he has given up eight home runs. That is not what you want if you are the White Sox and about to face the electric Minnesota bats. The Twins may be the hottest team in MLB right now and I can not wait to attack this matchup

Catcher Value: Tyler Flowers ($2,400 FD; $3,500 DK) will face off against Zach Eflin, who has given up 16 runs combined over his last three starts. That’s a lot. Flowers is hitting .237 ISO/ 369 wOBA vs Righties and will be hitting behind a Braves squad who absolutely has owned Zach Eflin.

Note: If McCann is in the lineup I would play him too. (9 homers/.204 ISO/.359 wOBA)

First Base Stud: Freddie Freeman ($4,100 FD; $5,200 DK) brings his All-Star swing to Philly today hitting .273 ISO/.425 wOBA vs right handed pitchers. As mentioned above, Zach Eflin is struggling lately and Freddie Freeman is not the one who is going to help him break out of his slump. The Braves are in a spot today where they can put up plenty of runs to get the W and keep the lineup turning over .

First Base Value Eric Hosmer ($3,000 FD; $3,900 DK) is the best of the cheap First Basemen. I don’t see myself having to go this cheap at such a crucial position but wanted to recommend a punt. Opposing Pitcher Shaun Anderson struggles more with the long ball vs. Lefties than Righties. Hosmer has 13 homers off righties this season, batting .289/.462 SLG. He is worth a stab if you can to pay up.

Second Base: Jose Altuve ($4,200 FD; $4,700 DK) is finally delivering night in and night out like we have been waiting on all year. In July he is hitting .341/.505 .SLG/.841 OPS with five homers. Daniel Ponce De Leon has made significant changes this year and has not been bad on the mound, but I am siding with the elite Astros to overwhelm him here and Altuve to get his.

Second Base Jonathan Schoop ($2,900 FD; $4,100 DK) will be at the back of the lineup with plenty of opportunities to clear the bases today. In his last 14 games Schoop has only gone hitless twice. He is batting .256 vs Righties with 11 home runs. Schoop is too cheap today and helps me round out my Twins stacks.

Shortstop Stud: Francisco Lindor ($4,200; $5,300 DK) is averaging 18.98 FanDuel Points over his last eight games. He is hitting .344/.533/.897 in June. Today he leads off vs Glenn Sparkman and his 4.67 ERA. Lindor has a small sample size against Sparkman and has gotten a hit off him three times in his six at bats. Lindor has a VERY safe floor and a ton of upside.

Shortstop Mid Range: Jorge Polanco ($3,500 FD; $4,800 DK) is hitting .342/.577 SLG/.971 OPS against righties. He is too cheap on FanDuel and an easy to fit into lineups. All aboard vs Nova.

Third Base Base: Miguel Sano ($3,700, $5,100 DK) hits .264 ISO/ .337 wOBA vs righties. The whole squad should deliver in this spot vs Ivan Nova.

Third Base Value: Renato Nunez ($3,200 FD; $4,100 DK) I repeat, this guy is hitting value every night and no one ever plays him. Nunez has four homers in his last six games and hasn’t put up a fantasy goose egg since July 14th. He has a safe floor with upside which is what we look for in MLB DFS. Nunez is hitting .344/.662 SLG/1.067 OPS in July. $3,200 is joke of a price on FanDuel so keep playing him.

Outfield Stud: Nelson Cruz ($4,400 FD; $5,600 DK) He can not be stopped right now and we love the Twins today. Batting .286 ISO/ .300 wOBA/ .586 SLG with 4 homers in the last two games Cruz is more locked in than maybe he has ever been. Enjoy the benefits while they last.

Honorable Mention: Eddie Rosario is also a good play with Twins stack, I just have Cruz ranked higher in the OF

Outfield MidRange: Max Kepler ($3,700 FD, $5,100 DK) is batting .278 ISO/.375wOBA and hitting cleanup for the Twins. His last six MLB DFS performances go as follows on FD, 25.7, 31.4, 0, 6, 21.7, 41.4. I like the matchup for the Twins so of course I like the guy in the four hole.

Outfield Value: Gregg Allen ($2,500 FD; $3,900 DK) has a .211 ISO and .343 wOBA vs righties this year and is finally getting some more PT. He is on a two game hitless streak, but this is the first time since May that has happened so I like him to bounce back and hit value here today. I do like targeting Sparkman so a cheap Indians OF, It makes sense with my MLB DFS builds. I am hoping for a hit, run and a stolen base from Allen today.

Honorable Mention: Tyler Naquin is another cheap Indian I would consider in the OF.

I primary used FanDuel when building optimal MLB DFS lineups.

There was a full 15 game slate for MLB DFS on Tuesday, July 16th. Points and salaries are based on DraftKings.

Sign up NOW for WIN DAILY Premium Gold here. Projections, weather reports, wagering info, 24/7 expert chats and more.

Winners

Bryce Harper ($4,100)

Bryce Harper put up a big game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at home Tuesday, and hit a walkoff two RBI double to win it for the Phillies. Harper went 2-for-3 and hit a home run to go with that double. He had five RBI, scored once, and walked twice. Harper scored 31 fantasy points. He has a good batting average in July at .282, but his other numbers are down. Harper has an OPS of .774 compared to .850 on the year and hit only his second July home run. He is now 6-for-18 after the All-Star break with a home run and two doubles.

Harper’s Outlook

The Phillies have two more home games against the Dodgers before heading to Pittsburgh for a series against the Pirates. The Dodgers have had one of the best pitching staffs in the league all year with a team ERA of 3.38 and have came out of the All-Star break right on par with that number up until Tuesday night. They have been susceptible to the home run as of late. The Dodgers have given up 10 home runs in five games since the break. I like Harper the rest of this series and into the second half of the season for MLB DFS.

Garrett Cooper ($4,000)

Cooper and the Marlins beat the Padres at home on Tuesday, 12-7. Cooper had a big night, going 2-for-3 with a home run. He added three RBI and scored three times. Cooper scored 29 MLB DFS points. He is now batting .315 with 11 home runs and 37 RBI on the season. He has come out of the gate hot in the second half and is 6-for-14 with three home runs.

Cooper’s Outlook

The Marlins have two more home games against the Padres before they head to Los Angeles to face the Dodgers. San Diego sits exactly at 16th in team ERA this season but they are much better at home than on the road. They have a 4.56 total team ERA and a 5.00 team ERA on the road. Cooper should be able to continue his hot start after the break against a weak Padres pitching staff.

Glenn Sparkman ($4,300)

This is one of the lesser known names we have covered, but it is hard to not mention him after he threw a complete game five hitter on Tuesday. Sparkman and the Royals hosted the Chicago White Sox and got the win 11-0. Sparkman was lights out, walking only one and giving up five hits while striking out eight. He scored 41.65 MLB DFS points. Sparkman came in at about as low of a salary as you will find for someone starting, but put up huge points Tuesday.

Sparkman’s Outlook

Sparkman will make his next start at Cleveland against the Indians on Sunday, July 21st. Cleveland has had a sub-par offense all season and average 4.49 runs per game, but they have heated up in July. This month the Indians average 6.22 runs per game with a team batting average of .298. This game seems to be bit of a fluke as Sparkman has a K/9 of only 5.16 and has been more of an inning eater than anything. Don’t let this one great performance pull you into the trap of chasing points. Stay away from Sparkman in his next outing.

Losers

Logan Allen ($9,200)

Allen and Padres faced off against the Marlins in Miami and got walloped on Tuesday. He was only able to get through 2.1 innings and gave up seven earned runs on seven hits and three walks. He did not strike out a batter and scored -14.75 MLB DFS points. Allen’s ERA is now at 7.08 as he has slumped after his first two starts. His K/9 is low at 5.76 and he has been getting shelled lately.

Allen’s Outlook

Allen’s next projected start will come against the Cubs in Chicago on Sunday, July 21st. The Cubs have been good in the month of July, scoring 5.4 runs per game and have a team batting average of .287. Allen has not pitched well lately and should not be counted on against the Cubs and should only be looked at when he plays at home, in a very pitcher friendly park.

Freddie Freeman ($5,100)

Freeman and the Braves took a beating on Tuesday when they visited the Brewers in Milwaukee. Freeman went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in the 13-1 loss and was even pinch hit for late in the game when it was out of reach. He now has a batting average of .299 with 25 home runs and 74 RBI. His OPS is in great shape at .963.

Freeman’s Outlook

Freeman and the Braves have been one of the hottest teams in the league and have one more game in Milwaukee Wednesday. The Braves will face off against Chase Anderson who has been good, not great lately. In Anderson’s last four starts he has given up no more than two earned runs in each game but has not been able to get through six innings in any of them. Freeman also gets the platoon advantage against the righty and should be a great MLB DFS play in Miller Park Wednesday.

Injury Report

Jay Bruce exited the game Tuesday in the third inning with an oblique injury. This looks like an injury that could land him on the IL.

Adalberto Mondesi hurt his arm diving for a ball Tuesday.

We had a 16-game slate with a doubleheader in Baltimore for the Orioles-Rays. All points and price tags are based off DraftKings.

Winners

Brad Keller ($6,000)

Brad Keller had an outstanding outing yesterday against the Detroit Tigers, going eight innings and allowed one run on four hits with seven strikeouts and picked up his fifth win on the season.

Keller’s Outlook

Brad Keller threw his best game in his two-year MLB career so far. This was also his most strikeouts in a game since April 12. He was undoubtedly the best pitcher on the slate in terms of performance and value. His next outing is scheduled for Thursday against the White Sox. Expect Keller to have a solid start there and continue putting him in your lineup.

Nick Senzel ($4,600)

Nick Senzel had himself an incredible game at the plate against the Colorado Rockies. He finished 4-for-5 with a double, two triples, a walk and two runs scored. It helped the game was played in Coors Field but Senzel took full advantage of the location.

Senzel’s Outlook

Senzel has a .600 slugging in his previous seven games. He has been on fire and do not expect him to slow down anytime soon as arguably the best leadoff hitter in baseball. The Reds and Rockies continue their series as the Rockies will have Antonio Senzatela on the mound and almost has a walk-to-strikeout ratio of one at Coors Fiel while posting a 1.70 WHIP. All signs point to Senzel to continue his hot streak and being in your DFS lineup on today’s slate.

Losers

Chris Sale ($10,500)

Chris Sale did not have his quality stuff in the World Series rematch against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He went 4.2 innings and allowed five runs on seven hits with a walk and seven strikeouts. He has not been the same pitcher he was a year ago, especially at home. Avoid him while pitching in Boston until he can defeat that narrative.

Sale’s Outlook

Sale has not been one of the best pitchers in baseball at Fenway Park this year as he has been in year’s past. At home this season, he is 0-3 with a 4.76 ERA in nine games. His next outing is Thursday against the Blue Jays in Boston. The Blue Jays have hit him well in the three outings Sale has had against them, so fade Sale on his upcoming slate.

Freddie Freeman ($5,000)

Freeman did not look that good at the plate against the San Diego Padres last night, going hitless in five at-bats with a pair of strikeouts. He is still hitting .302 but has been struggling as of late. Expect him to break out of his slump today with a couple of hits.

Freeman’s Outlook

Freddie Freeman has looked pedestrian at the plate in his past 15 games, posting a .233 batting average with a pair of homers, 7 RBI and 18 strikeouts. That’s a large total since he only has 77 strikeouts on the entire season thus far. The Braves and Padres continue their series today and the Padres are throwing out Cal Quantrill, who has a 4.50 ERA in his previous eight outings. Look for him to have one of the bigger games on the slate today.

Injury Update

Dellin Betances of the New York Yankees is expected to begin throwing on Monday. He hasn’t appeared in a game yet this season while recovering from a right lat strain.

Carlos Correa and Aledmys Diaz are both scheduled to begin their rehab assignments on Monday.

Ken Giles of the Toronto Blue Jays was not available out of the bullpen yesterday due to nerve inflammation from a massage he received during the All-Star break. He is expected to be able to pitch tomorrow if needed.

Thursday’s MLB action may not include a Coors Game, but there are plenty of offenses to stack in DFS. We have four stacks to target as you assemble your Daily Fantasy Sports entries.

Sign up NOW forWIN DAILY Premium Gold right here!Projections, weather reports, wagering info, 24/7 expert chats and more!

Minnesota Twins

I am pretty sure the Oakland Athletics pushed Tanner Anderson’s start back a day just so he could help put on a fireworks show. Anderson has a 7.13 ERA this season, while allowing a robust 48.3% hard contact rate. The high amount of hard contact has led to home runs, as he is allowing 2.04 HR/9. With the Twins leading all of baseball in home runs hit, this seems like an appropriate spot to stack some Twinkies in DFS.

Anderson has been awful against lefties. He has allowed a .473 wOBA and 4.91 HR/9. So of course, we want to load up on the left-handed Twins.  So our Minnesota stacks will need to start with Max Kepler (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $4,600). Kepler has an ISO north of .330 versus right-handed pitching. Other Twins bats worth considering are: Jason Castro (FanDuel: $2,600 DraftKings: $3,800) and Jorge Polanco (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $4,500). These two bats have ISOs above .240 versus righties in 2019.

Detroit Tigers

The Tigers’ offense is not normally in a position to stack. In fact, it has been good to our bank accounts to use starting pitchers against them. But this is just how bad the White Sox’s Lopez is. Lopez has a .5.12 SIERA and a low 10% swinging strike rate. He is not missing many bats and this is a perfect spot for us to pick on while we build DFS lineups.

Look to use the Tigers’ offense as a cheap stack to help load up on bats from Minnesota or one of these other teams. But target the likes of Brandon Dixon (FanDuel: $2,800 DraftKings: $4,300) and Gordon Beckham (FanDuel: $2,300 DraftKings: $3,300). All of these Tigers’ bats have ISOs over .200 against right-handed pitching this season.

Atlanta Braves

The Phillies’ Zach Eflin is not a terrible pitcher but he is not elite with his SIERA being 1.3 higher than his ERA. That means some regression is coming and it likely is coming today. Not only does Eflin struggle on the road with a 4.64 xFIP, but the Braves’ lineup is stacked with guys that crush righties. The Atlanta Braves have seven guys with regular at bats that are posting .200-plus ISOs against right-handed pitchers.

Of course, start your Atlanta DFS stack with Freddie Freeman (FanDuel: $4,400 DraftKings: $5,000). But you can also mix and match the likes of: Austin Riley (FanDuel: $3,400 DraftKings: $4,500), Josh Donaldson (FanDuel: $3,000 DraftKings: $4,000), Tyler Flowers (FanDuel: $2,500 DraftKings: $3,600), Dansby Swanson (FanDuel: $3,700 DraftKings: $4,500), Brian McCann (FanDuel: $2,600 DraftKings: $3,400) and Ronald Acuna Jr (FanDuel: $4,300 DraftKings: $5,400). All four of these Braves batters have accumulated at least a .200 ISO versus right-handed pitching.

Kansas City Royals

The Royalsand Indians game should have plenty of fireworks from both offenses and may bea great spot to game stack for DFS purposes. But if you have to chose just oneside, the Royals’ offense is the way to lean. The Indians’ Zach Plesac has a5.01 SIERA and a 5.13 xFIP in 2019. He also is allowing flyballs at a rate of42.4% which has led to 1.91 HR/9.

Use HunterDozier (FanDuel: $3,600 DraftKings: $4,700), Jorge Soler (FanDuel: $3,100DraftKings: $4,000) and Adalberto Mondesi (FanDuel: $3,600 DraftKings: $4,800).These three batters have ISOs greater than .200 against right-handed pitching.

But also, Dozier (.250 ISO) and Soler (.409 ISO) have crushed fastballs this season, which Plesac has thrown 55% of the time.

There was a 15 game DFS slate on Tuesday July 2nd but weather only allowed 14 games to be played. Although no one put up a performance like Josh Bell’s from Monday, there were still some good outings. Salaries and points are based on DraftKings.

DFS Winners

Rafael Devers ($4,900)

The Red Sox visited the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday and got the win, 10-6. Devers had a big DFS outing, going 4-for-5 with two home runs. He finished with six RBI and two runs scored and scored 42 fantasy points. Devers has played really well all year and has a batting average of .329 to go with an OPS of .926. He has now hit 14 home runs and has 56 RBI. Devers has 15 hits over his last six games played. The Red Sox have two more games on the road against the Blue Jays.

Devers’ Outlook

The Toronto Blue Jays have been bad this year from a pitching standpoint. They are tied for 23rd in the league with a team ERA of 4.89. Toronto had the worst team ERA in the month of June at 5.81. TOR also allowed the highest opposing batting average in June at .289. They allow a .262 batting average to lefties. All this adds up to a plus DFS matchup for Devers and the rest of the Red Sox. Roster Devers with confidence for the remainder of the series.

Charlie Morton ($10,600)

The Rays beat the Baltimore Orioles at home on Tuesday 6-3. Morton pitched seven great innings and only gave up one earned on four four hits. He was able to strike out 12 while walking only one and giving up one solo homer. He scored 38.75 DFS points and has an ERA of 2.36 to go with a great WHIP of 1.03. His K/9 is very high at 11.1. This was a good bounce-back after taking the loss in his last outing against the Twins.

Morton’s DFS Outlook

Morton’s next projected start will come after the All Star break. He has had a great first half of the season and has shown no signs of slowing down. He has been a great DFS pitcher while racking up the strikeouts. Morton had given up only 12 earned runs in his last eight starts and will carry great momentum into the second half of the season. He should be one of the top options the rest of the way.

Yuli Gurriel ($4,100)

Gurriel and the Astros got the win in a high scoring game at Coors Field against the Rockies. They won 9-8 and Gurriel was a big reason why. He went 3-for-5 with two home runs and a double. He finished with four RBI and two runs scored. Gurriel has had a pretty good first half of the year and has a batting average of .272 to go with his OPS of .756. Gurriel has hit 10 home runs and has 41 RBI.

Gurriel’s Outlook

The Astros have one more game at Coors Field before heading home to face the Angels. Gurriel and the rest of the Astros’ offense should be in high DFS demand for the game on Wednesday. Peter Lambert has an ERA of 6.57 and a WHIP of 1.46. He has started five games and has given up seven home runs. The entire Astros’ offense will be highly owned.

Losers

Jake Odorizzi ($9,900)

The Minnesota Twins faced the Oakland Athletics Tuesday and Odorizzi was roughed up. He was only able to get through three innings and gave up five earned runs. Odorizzi allowed four hits and walked three while giving up two home runs. He was able to strike out two. Odorizzi has been a big part of the Twins’ success this year and has an ERA of 2.73 to go with his WHIP of 1.07. His K/9 is in good shape at 9.88.

Odorizzi’s Outlook

Odorizzi has one more projected start before the All-Star break and it comes on July 7th against the Texas Rangers. Texas has had one of the better offense all year and has not slowed down. They have the seventh most runs scored this year and average nearly 5.5 per game. The Twins rank number two in the league in strikeouts and K nearly 10 times per game. This should be a big upside DFS spot for Odorizzi.

Freddie Freeman ($5,100)

Freeman and the Atlanta Braves could not get anything going on Tuesday and lost 2-0. Freeman went 0-for-4 and struck out once. The Braves were only able to get four hits on Tuesday. This is a rare down DFS game for Freeman and he has a batting average of .309 to go with an OPS of .979. He has hit 22 home runs and has 65 RBI. FF is coming off a huge June in which he hit .322 with an OPS of 1.066. Freeman hit nine home runs and had 33 RBI in June as well.

Freeman’s Outlook

The Braves have two more home games against the Phillies. The Phillies pitching has been just below average this year and they have a team ERA of 4.61. They have been worse than that lately, with a team ERA of 5.63 in the month of June, 28th in the league. Freeman should bounce back against the Phillies and put up good numbers as a great MLB DFS option.

Injury Report

Tommy La Stella left Tuesday’s game after fouling a ball off his knee. He had to be helped off the field which shows this is something to watch moving forward.

Boston and Chicago have small rain issues tonight to watch for as you make your DFS stack builds. The wind will continue to blow out moderately to right at Wrigley.

  1. Yankees: This team will be the most popular DFS stack of the night for obvious reasons. Their deep and powerful lineup recently saw their two biggest right-handed bats return in Giancarlo Stanton ($4,200 FD) and Aaron Judge ($4,300). They now get left-handed starter Clayton Richard ($5,600) Tuesday night in the Bronx. Some of his statistics on the season include 25.1 innings, 29 hits, 21 earned runs, 15 walks, 14 strikeouts and five HRs allowed. Yikes, good luck tonight Mr. Richard!
  2. Braves/Cubs: I know this matchup let most people in the DFS industry down last night. But let us go back to this DFS stack again tonight, shall we? After all, 11 runs were scored last night between the Cubs and Braves with three combined HRs last night. Not a horrible performance but not the explosion we were hoping for either. Weather conditions should be almost exactly the same as they were last night, warm, somewhat muggy and a wind blowing out to right around 15 mph. This isn’t the best weather conditions we have ever seen at Wrigley but bats do get a boost here. Possible players that you may see on my DFS roster Tuesday night would be left-handed sluggers Freddie Freeman ($4,500 FD), Anthony Rizzo ($3,900), Kyle Schwarber ($3,100) and the suddenly red-hot Jason Heyward ($2,800, two or more hits in each of last three games, going a combined eight for 12 for a .667 batting average with a HR, three doubles, three runs scored and a RBI). The Braves are throwing a lefty out there in Max Fried so some of these left-handed bats from the Cubs may not play, keep that in mind for DFS stack purposes.
  3. Padres: Let’s differentiate ourselves from the crowd with this DFS stack choice. After a winter with a shakeup at all levels of the Baltimore organization, Orioles fans hoped 2019 would be different. Unfortunately, this looks like a long-term project in Maryland. Baltimore is tied for last as a pitching staff in batting average allowed at .273. They have given up an incredible 156 HRs as a staff. The next closest team is Seattle at 137. Tampa has given up fewer than half of Baltimore’s total (73). The Oriole bullpen continues to be a problem, with a 4.78 ERA which is good (bad??) for fourth worst in the league. Tonight, the Baltimore nine plan on using Jimmy Yacabonis as their opener and will string the rest of the game together with bullpen arms. Oh, and did I mention that according to ESPN’s park factors Oriole Park at Camden Yards is the third easiest park to HR in and 6th to score runs in? DFS stack with the Padres!

Top Stacks

Texas Rangers:

When the temperatures are hot in Texas, you want to get Rangers’ bats in your DFS lineups. And today is no different, especially with the White Sox’s Ivan Nova on the bump. The Chicago’ right-hander has a 5.04 SIERA and a 4.73 xFIP this season. With Nova allowing a 43% hard contact rate in 2019, expect the Rangers to take advantage of the hot temps and put the heat on Chicago’s Nova.

Atlanta Braves:

The Braves’ offense comes in red hot. Over their last seven games, the Braves have pounded out 13 home runs. In that span, they have a .244 ISO and a .385 wOBA. The Nationals’ Joe Ross doesn’t seem likely to slow them down any today. The Washington starter has a 6.04 xFIP and a 5.02 SIERA this season.

Los Angeles Dodgers:

The Dodgers have crushed right-handed pitching all season. As an offense, Los Angeles has a .211 ISO and a .344 wOBA against righties. The Rockies’ Antonio Senzatela should be no match for the Dodgers. The Colorado pitcher is not missing any bats this season with a slate low 6.9% swinging strike rate. The Dodgers should put plenty of balls in play with success on Sunday.

Value Stacks

Chicago White Sox:

The Rangers’ Adrian Sampson is allowing a flyball 41.6% of the time. He also is allowing a 46.3% hard contact rate in 2019. Combine the flyballs, with hard contact and mix it into 90+ degree weather and that is a recipe for trouble. The White Sox should feast of this recipe and do it at a discount.

Top Stacks

New York Yankees:

It seems like you always want to try to get as many Yankees’ bats into your DFS lineups as you can. Today is no different, especially with the White Sox’s Odrisamer Despaigne on the bump. The Chicago right-hander has a 7.15 SIERA in six innings pitched in 2019. Things surely are set up for the Yankees’ offense to succeed on Sunday.

Boston Red Sox:

John Means could be in for a long one here. The Orioles’ starter has a 4.96 xFIP and a 4.51 SIERA this season. And now he faces a hot Boston offense that has a .241 ISO  and a .350 wOBA over the last seven days. Means should be in trouble early and often here so stack up all the Red Sox that you can.

Minnesota Twins:

The Royals’ Jakob Junis is a guy we want to attack today. He has a 5.35 ERA to go along with 42.9 hard contact rate. But equally important is the fact that the Twins have crushed right-handed pitching all season. As an offense, Minnesota has a .248 ISO against righties.

Value Stacks

Miami Marlins:

The Pirates’ Chris Archer is having a disastorous season. He is allowing a flyball rate of 39.8% and those flyballs are getting hit hard. He has a 43.4% hard contact rate. He is allowing 2.41 HR/9 this season. The Marlins may not be the most intimidating offense, but with their highest priced starter on FanDuel coming in at just $3,200, Miami is in play on Sunday.

Baltimore Orioles:

Brian Johnson has struggled in his brief time in the Majors. He has accumulated a 12.71 ERA and 6.03 xFIP. Johnson also has a 55% flyball rate as well as a 55% hard contact rate. The Orioles are not priced accordingly so take advantage of some value on Sunday.
