Daily Fantasy Sports Saturday 1/2 EPL DFS Richard Masana 3 years ago written by Richard Masana This article focuses on 1/2 EPL Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large. Saturday 1/2 EPL Slate and DFS GameplanLet’s get ready for EPL Matchweek 17/38 as we kick off the first weekend of 2021!Sheffield United (+290) at Crystal Palace (-103) – This game should result in a very sleepy start to the morning. Vicente Guaita is in play as the Crystal Palace goalie against lowly Sheffield United. However, we are certainly lacking in attacking options here unless you want to really pay up for them. Wolves (+185) at Brighton (+160) – After our opening match, we get a second consecutive stinker as the Raul-Jimenez less Wolves visit the Seagulls. By nature, a wolf should devour a seagull, However, these Wolves have been limping, relying primarily on defense for survival. Brighton will similarly look to keep it low scoring and hope for some set piece magic. Arsenal (-162) at West Brom (+460) – Welcome to Arsenal chalk day. Buyako Saka, who has taken over set pieces when in, is a game time decision. However, any way that this lineup shakes out, on this slate, you would have to be interested. Alexandre Lacazette (+116) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (+123) have the highest goal scoring odds on the slate. If Saka is out, Willian becomes very interesting at his price on DraftKings, with the assumption that set pieces would be all his. Behind him, Nicolas Pepe. If all three are not in the lineup, Dani Ceballos at $5,500, becomes a bargain. Notable Goal Scoring Odds Note: Many of these players will not end up starting, but their goal odds are listed just in case. If they do not end up starting, disregard them. All odds listed +300 or below and projected starters are listed in bold. Sheffield United at Crystal Palace – Wilfried Zaha (+165), Christian Benteke (+200), Michy Batshuayi (+200), Jordan Ayew (+215), Oliver McBurnie (+300), Lys Mousset (+300), David McGoldrick (+320), Rhian Brewster (+330), Eberechi Eze (+360)Wolves at Brighton – Neal Maupay (+215), Fabio Silva (+280), Pedro Neto (+295), Danny Welbeck (+300), Daniel Podence (+320), Aaron Connolly (+320), Andi Zeqiri (+320), Leandro Trossard (+390), Pascal Gros (+450)Arsenal at West Brom – Alexandre Lacazette (+116), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (+123), Folarin Balogun (+165), Eddie Nketiah (+165), Gabriel Martinelli (+175), Nicolas Pepe (+240), Bukayo Saka (+255), Willian (+275), Charlie Austin (+340), Karlan Grant (+340)EPL Best Odds * Arsenal ML (-160) “DraftKings Sportsbook”DraftKings | FanDuel The Betting Game PlanThis West Brom side will continually to run out the 5-4-1 all defense, “park the bus” formation in an attempt to grab some points through draws. It’s rare Arsenal is far and away our best option of any sort on a normal slate, but here we are. If this ML is not enough for you, feel free to parlay it with an Over or something from another sport. 1/2 EPL FanDuel Rankings “Set pieces less important on FanDuel”Forward/Midfield1. Daily Fantasy Sports Tuesday 12/29 EPL DFS Richard Masana 3 years ago written by Richard Masana This article focuses on 12/29 EPL Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large. Tuesday 12/29 EPL Slate and DFS GameplanLet’s get ready for EPL Matchweek 16/38, as we have one of the biggest midweek slates of the season. There are a total of five games with four beginning at 1pm ET and one late game at 3pm ET. However, DraftKings will only be featuring the first four. Arsenal (+128) at Brighton (+215) – We will see if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang returns. If not, we will a similar Arsenal lineup to last time out against Chelsea. However, given their success in that game, perhaps that wouldn’t be such a bad thing. Sheffield United (+230) at Burnley (+138) – This should be a dull game although Chris Wood’s +155 odds to score is the fourth highest on the slate. Nick Pope might be popular in net. People might also snatch the defenders, particularly on DraftKings, hoping for a clean sheet plus solid output. West Ham (+225) at Southampton (+125) – Danny Ings will likely remain out, leaving Southampton without their primary scoring threat. This should be a low scoring game decided by set pieces and chance opportunities. Leeds United (-106) at West Brom (+275) – Patrick Bamford’s +108 goal scoring odds pace the slate, which features a number of low scoring games. As the second biggest favorite on the slate, either pieces or a Leeds stack, are both in play. Raphinha has taken control of the Leeds set pieces for now. FANDUEL ONLY – Wolves (+500) at Manchester United (-175) – United is the biggest favorite on the slate. Bruno, along with the other attackers, should be very popular. Notable Goal Scoring Odds Note: Many of these players will not end up starting, but their goal odds are listed just in case. If they do not end up starting, disregard them. All odds listed +300 or below and projected starters are listed in bold. Arsenal at Brighton – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (+165), Alexandre Lacazette (+180), Folarin Balogun (+210), Neal Maupay (+225), Eddie Nketiah (+230), Gabriel Martinelli (+240), Danny Welbeck (+295), Aaron Connolly (+310), Andi Zeqiri (+310), Nicolas Pepe (+320), Bukayo Saka (+390), Leandro Trossard (+390), Pascal Gros (+440), Joe Willock (+600)West Ham at Southampton – Michail Antonio (+195), Che Adams (+225), Sebastian Haller (+255), Shane Long (+260), Daniel N’Lundulu (+260), Theo Walcott (+295), Michael Obafemi (+295), Jarrod Bowen (+330), Andriy Yarmolenko (+330), Tomas Soucek (+350), Manuel Lanzini (+600)Sheffield United at Burnley – Chris Wood (+155), Ashley Barnes (+215), Matěj Vydra (+235), Jay Rodriguez (+245), David McGoldrick (+290), Oliver McBurnie (+290), Rhian Brewster (+290), Lys Mousset (+290), Billy Sharp (+300)Leeds United at West Brom – Patrick Bamford (+108), Rodrigo (+230), Karlan Grant (+235), Charlie Austin (+235), Pablo Hernandez (+260), Tyler Roberts (+260), Raphinha (+280), Callum Robinson (+285), Mateusz Klich (+325), Helder Costa (+350), Ian Poveda (+350), Matheus Pereira (+380), Jack Harrison (+390), Conor Gallagher (+400)Wolves at Manchester United – Bruno Fernandes (+140), Edinson Cavani (+145), Marcus Rashford (+175), Anthony Martial (+175), Mason Greenwood (+210), Pedro Neto (+350), Fabio Silva (+360), Daniel Podence (+420), Paul Pogba (+460)EPL Best Odds * Leeds United ML (-106) “DraftKings Sportsbook”DraftKings | FanDuel The Betting Game PlanLeeds unapologetically offensive playing style under coach Marcelo Bielsa should serve them well against hapless West Brom. My assumption would be that new coach “Big Sam” Allardyce and West Brom will look to recreate their all defensive formation, as previously employed against Manchester City. Given that this style involves conceding the ball nearly eighty percent of the team and playing with your back to net, it is fair to say it won’t create sustainable success. Once again, we will get away from the parlays with a near even odds money line bet. 12/29 EPL FanDuel Rankings “Set pieces less important on FanDuel”Forward/Midfield1. Seriously, poor West Brom. It is Jurgen Klopp’s turn to have his team put a beating on the lowly West Brom, and that’s where most of the points will come from today. Daily Fantasy Sports Boxing Day Saturday 12/26 EPL DFS Richard Masana 3 years ago written by Richard Masana This article focuses on 12/26 EPL Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large. Saturday 12/26 EPL Slate and DFS GameplanIt is time for EPL Matchweek 15/38 and the annual Boxing Day slate. This slate is bigger than we have been accustomed to so far this season on Saturdays. There are five games starting at 10am ET lock. DraftKings is only including the first three games on their main slate. However, FanDuel will have all five. The slate begins with a pair of games at the 10am ET lock time. First, Southampton (+128) heads to Craven Cottage to square off with Fulham (+225). Fulham has been playing relatively well as of late, by their standards. Danny Ings will be out for Southampton, in what should be a tight affair. Meanwhile, Aston Villa (-108) hosts a struggling Crystal Palace (+275). More on this game below under Best Odds. Afterwards, we have a single game in the 12:30 ET timeslot, as Chelsea (-108) travels to Arsenal (+310). As the odds suggest, the Blues are at the advantage here as they look to stay in the winning column. Finally, the slate finishes with another pair of games at 3pm ET. Manchester City (-910) sits as the biggest favorite on the slate, at home against Newcastle (+2200). Unfortunately, because this game is so late we will not have lineups before three other games play out. However, it is probably worth the wait so I would suggest saving some lineup flexibility for the late games. The other late game features Everton (-114) on the road against Sheffield United (+325). James Rodriguez is unlikely to start, but Everton have held up thus far without him and they should have few issues here. Notable Goal Scoring Odds Note: Many of these players will not end up starting, but their goal odds are listed just in case. If they do not end up starting, disregard them. All odds listed +300 or below and projected starters are listed in bold. Southampton at Fulham – Aleksander Mitrovic (+190), Che Adams (+225), Shane Long (+265), Daniel N’Lundulu (+265), Aboubakar Kamara (+280), Theo Walcott (+300), Michael Obafemi (+300), Ivan Cavaleiro (+325), Bobby De Cordova-Reid (+325), Ademola Lookman (+340)Crystal Palace at Aston Villa – Ollie Watkins (+138), Keinan Davis (+195), Anwar El-Ghazi (+210), Christian Benteke (+245), Wilfried Zaha (+255), Jack Grealish (+250), Michy Batshuayi (+255), Jordan Ayew (+280), Bertrand Traore (+300), Ross Barkley (+300), Trezeguet (+300)Chelsea at Arsenal – Olivier Giroud (+180), Timo Werner (+180), Tammy Abraham (+188), Christian Pulisic (+235), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (+235), Alexandre Lacazette (+275), Kai Havertz (+320), Eddie Nketiah (+325), Gabriel Martinelli (+325), Callum Hudson-Odoi (+400), Nicolas Pepe (+440), Willian (+475), Mason Mount (+480)Newcastle at Manchester City – Sergio Aguero (-157), Gabriel Jesus (-107), Raheem Sterling (-104), Kevin De Bruyne (+118), Riyad Mahrez (+132), Ferran Torres (+143), Felix Nmecha (+150), Phil Foden (+160), Cole Palmer (+180), Bernardo Silva (+245), Ilkay Gundogan (+310), Callum Wilson (+360)Everton at Sheffield United – Dominic Calvert-Lewin (+116), Cenk Tosun (+175), Richarlison (+215), Oliver McBurnie (+275), Lys Mousset (+275), David McGoldrick (+290), Rhian Brewster (+290), James Rodriguez (+295), Billy Sharp (+300), Gylfi Sigurdsson (+340)EPL Best Odds * Aston Villa ML (-104) “DraftKings Sportsbook”DraftKings | FanDuel The Betting Game PlanIt’s right back to the well on the Aston Villa train. They are coming off a 3-0 win over West Ham and will look to carryover momentum at home. Anwar El-Ghazi looks like a completely different person over the last few games since entering the starting lineup. On the other side, Crystal Palace enters this game following an embarrassing 7-0 loss to Liverpool and has some bad losses over the last month or so. A draw against Tottenham and a big win over West Brom does not obscure losses to Newcastle and Burnley. 12/26 EPL FanDuel Rankings “Set pieces less important on FanDuel”Forward/Midfield1. Daily Fantasy Sports Sunday 12/20 EPL DFS Richard Masana 3 years ago written by Richard Masana This article focuses on 12/20 EPL Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large. Sunday 12/20 EPL Slate and DFS GameplanAs EPL Matchweek 14/38 goes on, the two sites differ in regards to slate size. Both sites will have the first two games but only FanDuel will have the first game. Lock is 9:15 AM ET with each game in consecutive order. It all starts with Leicester City (+290) visiting Tottenham (+100). The Hot Spurs two big studs will be popular on both sites. James Maddison seems to be priced very tastily on DraftKings for his role and scoring output in that format. Next up, Manchester United (-150) hosts Leeds United (+360). It has been a wild ride for United. They are hoping not to go down a goal or two early only to have to come all the way back. It’s unfortunate that the last game is FanDuel only. West Brom is coming off a huge performance tying Manchester City on the road. However, their defense has looked atrocious at times. Meanwhile, Aston Villa is in the reverse situation. They dominated Burnley at times mid-week, firing off 27 shots to six, only to end up drawing 0-0. Perhaps, this is the spot where both teams meet some true regression in terms of a result. Notable Goal Scoring Odds Note: Many of these players will not end up starting, but their goal odds are listed just in case. If they do not end up starting, disregard them. All odds listed +300 or below and projected starters are listed in bold. Leicester City at Tottenham – Harry Kane (+107), Jamie Vardy (+130), Son Heung-Min (+150), Gareth Bale (+195), Kelechi Iheanacho (+210)Leeds United at Manchester United – Edinson Cavani (+110), Bruno Fernandes (+116), Marcus Rashford (+123), Anthony Martial (+138), Patrick Bamford (+165), Mason Greenwood (+170)Aston Villa at West Brom – Ollie Watkins (+133), Keinan Davis (+195), Jack Grealish (+220), Karlan Grant (+250), Anwar El-Ghazi (+265), Bertrand Traore (+265), Ross Barkley (+300), Trezeguet (+300)EPL Best Odds *Aston Villa ML (-106) “DraftKings Sportsbook”DraftKings | FanDuel The Betting Game PlanThis is another really tough slate as far as bets go. With so much parity in the EPL, it makes things tighter than in other competitons. Despite hitting yesterday, rather than another one of the parlays that we have been focusing on across the last few slates, let’s take a ML here. West Brom was able to pull off a road tie against Man City, but this team is still pretty dreadful. 12/20 EPL FanDuel Rankings Forward/Midfield1. Son Heung-Min – Tottenham – $222. Daily Fantasy Sports Saturday 12/19 EPL DFS Richard Masana 3 years ago written by Richard Masana This article focuses on 12/19 EPL Picks for DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbook and FanDuel and DraftKings Daily Fantasy. We consider tournament tactics, statistics, pricing, and attempt to tackle this highly variable Daily Fantasy format so we can gain an edge on the field at large. Saturday 12/19 EPL Slate and DFS GameplanIt’s time to kick off EPL Matchweek 14/38 with a three game Saturday slate! We begin with Manchester City (-215) traveling to Southampton (+575). City has been playing phenomenal defense, as of late. However, it has come at the expense of their offense, which has been lacking that final touch. This will certainly be no easy game for City against a Southampton team that is getting the most out of their abilities. Therefore, after some soft matchups, I am not as high on them today. Afterwards, Arsenal (+210) heads to Goodison Park to take on a streaking Everton (+130) side. Arsenal has been struggling and have to hope that Pierre-Emerick Aubemeyang’s goal last game will be the first of many. Meanwhile, Everton comes into this game off the back of consecutive wins against Chelsea and Leicester City. Nevertheless, James Rodriguez will remain out for Everton. Finally, we close with a pair of bottom feeders as Fulham (+180) visits Newcastle (+155). It might not be pretty. However, this isn’t the worse source of some cheap value where needed. As a result, I don’t mind grabbing an Aleksander Mitrovic or Callum Wilson to fill out my lineup. Be sure to not to roster them against the opposing goalie, given their goal or nothing nature. Notable Goal Scoring Odds Note: Many of these players will not end up starting, but their goal odds are listed just in case. If they do not end up starting, disregard them. All odds listed +300 or below and projected starters are listed in bold. Manchester City at Southampton – Sergio Aguero (-115), Gabriel Jesus (+128), Raheem Sterling (+145), Kevin De Bruyne (+155), Riyad Mahrez (+175), Ferran Torres (+188), Danny Ings (+188), Phil Foden (+205), Bernardo Silva (+280), Che Adams (+335)Arsenal at Everton – Dominic Calvert-Lewin (+123), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (+185), Cenk Tosun (+195), Alexandre Lacazette (+220), Richarlison (+225), Eddie Nkietah (+260)Fulham at Newcastle – Callum Wilson (+133), Aleksander Mitrovic (+143), Dwight Gayle (+225), Andy Carroll (+275), Aboubakar Kamara (+275), Ademola Lookman (+320), Ivan Cavaleiro (+320), Joelinton (+340)EPL Best Odds *Two Leg Parlay – Manchester City (-215) + Everton (+130) = (+238) total odds “DraftKings Sportsbook”DraftKings | FanDuel The Betting Game PlanThis will be a tough test for Manchester City but it is a game they need to win, in order to remain in the title race. As for Everton, I think that their good form continues. Therefore, we might as well roll the two team parlay. 12/19 EPL FanDuel Rankings Forward/Midfield1. Kevin De Bruyne – Manchester City – $242.
