Happy Saturday y’all!  We have ourselves a massive 11-game slate of NHL DFS tonight.  This is a slate that at first glance is wide open.  We have 5 teams on the tail-end of a back-to-back and 2 teams on the front-end of a back-to-back.  This slate also brings us some of the worst defensive teams in the league and we’ll surely be able to attack them.

Let’s dig in and make some money!

NHL DFS Goalies

Frederik Andersen ($7.9k on DK) vs. Seattle Kraken

Frederik Andersen is off to a roaring start in the 2024-2025 campaign.  Through 3 starts, he owns an impressive 1.65 GAA and a strong .939 save percentage.  At a price tag of $7.9k on DK, we’re getting a goalie who has immense upside.  He’s scored at least 20 DK points in back-to-back contests and with a matchup against an average at best offense in the Kraken, I would not be surprised to see him make it 3 in a row with over 20.  The Kraken are scoring just north of 3 goals per game on 30 shots.

I have no doubt in my mind that Andersen should be able to limit any damage that the Kraken try to throw his way.  Look for him to be one of the top goalies of the night.

Dustin Wolf ($7.4k on DK) vs. Winnipeg Jets

I wish the matchup was a little bit better, but it’s tough to ignore the price tag on Wolf given what he’s done so far this season.  Through his first 3 starts, he’s been at 23 points once and 24 points twice.  The Flames have been bleeding shots all season and Wolf has looked pretty formidable in saving most of them.  Thanks to the barrage of shots on him, he’s averaged more than 34 saves a game so far this season.

Winnipeg for that matter has taken nearly 32 shots on goal per game.  The volume should be there for Wolf tonight to continue to make a ton of saves per game.  I’m sure he’ll let in a few, but with his price and the amount of saves he should get, he’ll easily pay off his salary and more tonight.  One of the best values on the board.

Other goalies I like tonight will be Connor Hellebuyk, Kevin Lankinen, and Anthonly Stolarz.  There are a lot of options at $8k or under this evening.

NHL DFS Stacks

Vegas 1 (Stone/Eichel/Barbashev) vs. San Jose Sharks

Although they have some tired legs after playing last night against the Senators, they’re at least home for both of them and they get one of the best matchups on the board tonight.  The Sharks are bad, just like last season.  Through the first 8 games of the season, they are still searching for the first win and are already at a -17 goal differential.  Teams are scoring nearly 4 goals per game against them and are taking close to 33 shots on goal per game against them.  They are also giving up close to 14 high-danger chances per game.  This all sets up great for one of the best lines in the league.

All 3 guys on this line have been productive, including the cheapest member in Barbashev.  He’s scored a goal in 3 of his last 4 games and had 2 last night against the Sens.  He’ll be a core for me here, followed by his linemates in Stone and Eichel.  They are pricey, but they should smash tonight against a very bad Sharks team.

Dallas 2 (Seguin/Duchene/Marchment) vs. Chicago Blackhawks

With the Blackhawks on the tail end of the back-to-back, I expect them to be sloppier than normal on D.  While they have been improved compared to last season, they are still giving up close to 3.5 goals per game.  We should also see Arvid Soderblom in net for the Blackhawks tonight and he is super beatable as he owns a career GAA well into the 3’s.  He’s also coming off a start vs. the Sabres that saw him give up 4 goals.

This second unit for the Stars has been good as they’ve combined for 15 points and 6 goals over their last 5 games.  The core play here will be Matt Duchene as he’s lead the way with 7 points over over his last 5 games.  The top line for the Dallas is also very much in play tonight.

Other stacks I like tonight will be NYR 1 and 2, Van 1, St. Louis 1 and 2, Tor 1 and Tampa 1.

Happy Thursday y’all!  We have ourselves a strong 9-game slate of NHL DFS tonight.  This is a slate that brings a matchup of last year’s Eastern Conference Finals as the Rangers play host to the reigning Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers.  As a Rangers fan, I’ll be glued to this matchup as these 2 teams are still 2 of the best in the NHL.  This is also a slate that brings us a perpetually bad team in the Sharks.

Let’s dig in and make some money!

NHL DFS Goalies

Connor Hellebuyck ($7.8k on DK) vs. Seattle Kraken

Four teams remain unbeaten in regulation this season and the Jets are one of them.  A lot has been due to the play of Connor Hellebuyck.  Through his first 5 starts this season, Hellebuyck has been remarkable.  He owns a .948 save % and has allowed just a 1.4 GAA.  He’s been one of the best in the league so far and he’ll look to keep the good times rolling tonight against a Kraken team that has been about average to start to the year, scoring a little more than 3 goals per game.

In 4 of his 5 games this season, Hellebuyck has been at or more than 17 DK points.  He has a high floor and at his price point, I love that floor.  Look for him to be one of the top goalies on the night and the Jets to get their 7th win on the season.

Frederik Andersen ($7.9k on DK) vs. Calgary Flames

The Calgary Flames are one of the other 4 teams that has not been beaten yet in regulation.  That changes tonight as they face off against a perennial strong team in the Carolina Hurricanes.  Frederik Andersen should lead the team out on the ice tonight and he too has been really strong to start the season.  Through 3 starts, he owns an impressive .939 save % and a GAA of just 1.64.

Andersen is coming off back-to-back strong performances, scoring 21 DK points against an offensive juggernaut in the Oilers and a 20 DK performance against the lowly Penguins (sorry Vecchio, I said what I said).  Andersen and the Hurricanes should be able to hand the Flames their first regulation loss tonight.

Other goalies I like tonight will be Darcy Kuemper vs. the Sharks and Joseph Woll vs. the Blues.  I’m out on both Shesterkin and Bob tonight as I expect this Rangers/Panthers game to be high-scoring.

NHL DFS Stacks

New Jersey Devils 2 (Meier/Hischier/Mercer) vs. Detroit Red Wings

While the top line gets the attention due to having Jack Hughes on it, I actually like this second unit for the Devils a smidge better.  For starters, they’re a bit cheaper.  That $1.3k savings will go a long way to building out a strong overall lineup.  Next, they’ve been putting up similar numbers to the top line and we’ll be able to get them at a much lower ownership as people tend to pay up for the stars and Jack Hughes is a star. Both Hischier and Meier have combined for 12 points over the last 5 games and have taken a combined 36 shots on net.

Don’t get me wrong though, if you have the extra cash lying around the top line is also very much in play.  Although Detroit is giving up only 2.83 goals per game, they’ve been playing above their means as they have an xGA 3.64.  Of all the teams playing tonight, no one has given up more shots on goal per game than them and only the Sharks have given up more scoring chances than them.  The Devils have one of the highest implied goal totals on the night and I expect them to be one of the top scoring teams on this slate.  Again, both of the top lines are in play but I’m favoring the second unit to be a bit different than the field.

Los Angeles Kings 3 (Turcotte/Foegele/Laferriere) vs. San Jose Sharks

As was the case last year, the Sharks have been miserable to start the season.  Through 7 games, they are 0-5-2 and will almost certainly be 0-6-2 after tonight.  They have an already impressive -16 goal differential, the worst mark in the league.  They’re giving up 4 goals per game, nearly 34 scoring chances per game, and more than 13 high-danger chances per game.  If there’s a defensive stat, they are near the league bottom.  This third line for the Kings has been their most productive line so far.

Over their last 5 games, this line has combined for 6 goals and 9 points.  They also rank 2,3, and 4 on the team in terms of scoring chances over those 5 games.  They are also super cheap, costing us less than $10k as a unit.  This will mean we can spend up on a D man or 2 as we’ll have some extra cash lying around.  While this third line is my preference, I also do like the top 2 lines as well.  Kevin Fiala has been arguably their best player to start the season.

Other stacks I like tonight will NYR 11 and 2, Dal 1, Tor 1 and 2, TB 1, FLA 1, Col 1, Utah 1, and WPG 1 and 2.

We went 2/2 last night as Draymond Green cashed his 0.5 3-PT Made total and Max Struss blew his 8.5 points total out of the water. It’s time to get it rolling with another NBA DFS slate and we have six games tonight on DraftKings. Below, you’ll find my core plays plus two of my favorite bets.

NBA DFS – Top Targets

Domantas Sabonis $10,300 – 52.48 DK Points – 5.09 Value

We get a monstrous matchup once again with Domantas Sabonis facing off against Nikola Jokic for the fourth time this season. Sabonis has averaged 18 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists in three games facing Denver. His dominating play has continued in his last five games where he is averaging 21.6 points, 14.2 rebounds, and 10.4 assists. He should be in line for a double-double at a minimum while flirting with a triple-double bonus.

This is going to be a good game to target as two of the three games have hit 240 and 241 total points. On top of that, the Sacramento Kings play at a faster pace, averaging 103.9 possessions per game while Denver averages just 100 possessions. Domantas Sabonis is the fourth-highest projected player on the slate and while Nikola Jokic does project for more, the ownership will be lower for Sabonis with just as much upside.

Norman Powell $4,800 – 30.12 DK Points – 6.27 value

Norman Powell and the Los Angeles Clippers are in a huge pace-up spot tonight versus the Los Angeles Lakers. While they play at a slower pace with 101.4 possessions per game, the Lakers are averaging 104.9. Powell also comes in as the second-highest projected value play with a rating of 6.27. He has found success versus this Lakers team this season already.

In three games versus the Lakers, Powell has averaged 14.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists while averaging 28.9 minutes per game. With that, the Lakers have also struggled versus guards, allowing them to average 24.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 6 assists per game. Norman Powell will be a key piece to get to better payup spots like Domantas Sabonis or Nikola Jokic tonight.

Kyrie Irving $9,300 – 48.47 DK Points – 5.21 Value Rating

The last team we played a point guard versus Toronto, Tyrese Haliburton disappointed us. I don’t see that happening tonight with Kyrie Irving. With Dallas and Toronto having the second-highest point total, you’ll want a piece of the action. Irving has been playing well as of late. In his last five games, he has averaged 29.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists. On the season, he has played consistently, averaging 25.8 points, 5.3 assists, and 5.2 rebounds with a usage rate of 29%.

The obvious piece in this matchup though is Luka Doncic who is hard to pass up. While there would need to be some strong value plays to open by lock time, pairing Kyrie Irving with Doncic wouldn’t be a bad route. It would just be a nearly impossible route and a true punt with scrubs and stars lineup. Doncic and Nikola Jokic are priced high and for good reason which makes Domantas Sabonis the best next pay-up spot to pair with Kyrie Irving.

NBA DFS – Top Bets

Get access to our NBA DFS Player Prop Model here and find the best edge in the industry! Example from yesterday below. Click the image for today’s updated model…………..

Santi Aldama over 12.5 Points + Rebounds -120 (Bet365)

Santi Aldama has found success this season versus Minnesota and is averaging 12 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in three games. Aldama is projected to do damage once again as he’s projected for 17.34 points and rebounds tonight. Both teams do play at a slower pace and if Minnesota is short-handed once again, Santi Aldama may have an easier route to his total.

Evan Mobley over 0.5 steals -130 (Bet365)

Evan Mobley is a low-total stealing machine. On the season he is averaging almost 1 steal per game and in his last five, he has recorded at least one steal in four of them. Getting to face Chicago once again, they allow opposing centers to average 1.1 steals per game. Plus, Mobley secured one steal and block in their first meeting.

Welcome back for the Conference Championship NFL DFS slate breakdown! This week, it’s a very condensed, 2-game slate. As always, we can focus more on lineup construction in Discord. The purpose of this article is to identify our model/plays for a NFL DFS cash game lineup on DraftKings and FanDuel Main Slates (also known as a double-up) in addition to my favorite NFL DFS GPP tournament plays.

NFL DFS Quarterbacks

  • Lamar Jackson ($7,700 DK / $8,800 FD) – Highest floor, highest ceiling on the slate at the Quarterback position. The lower game total and stout defenses on both sides of the ball worry me a bit for the top-tier price and ownership, but he’s the safest play on the board for cash games and offers the world of upside with his legs for GPPs.

Stack Options: “Naked”, Zay Flowers, Isaiah Likely, Mark Andrews
Bring-Back Options: Rashee Rice, Travis Kelce, Isiah Pacheco

  • Brock Purdy ($6,500 DK / $7,800 FD) – Brock Purdy will be my guy this week in GPPs. This is the highest I’ve seen the market be in terms of his passing yards and that’s something I do not take lightly. The AETY Model projects Purdy for over two touchdown passes and a field day with his arm against a pass-funnel Detroit defense. I’m all about it if you want to get a little different and it’s prime leverage off of Christian McCaffrey if you can stomach a fade there.

Stack Options: Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle
    Bring-Back Options:
Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs, Sam LaPorta

NFL DFS Running Backs

  • Christian McCaffrey ($9,000 DK / $11,000 FD) – Expensive as hell per usual, but the best play on the board at any position.
  • Jahmyr Gibbs ($6,400 DK / $7,000 FD) – My motto: on small slates, play the studs. Jahmyr Gibbs is one of the most talented football players in the NFL and somehow has a price discount from last week. He’s their go-to guy in a run-first offense and the many route runner out of the backfield if Detroit starts chasing points.
  • Isiah Pacheco ($6,400 DK / $7,500 FD) – A three-down back with significant goal-line touch equity in a somewhat positive matchup on the ground. I fear Baltimore’s pass defense and the Chiefs’ struggles through the air way.
  • Gus Edwards ($5,500 DK / $5,800 FD) – It looks like Justice Hill is going to draw a significant amount of ownership due to the heavy workload and PPR floor, but I’ll take the lower owned back with significant touchdown equity on a two-game slate.

Honorable Mention: Justice Hill

NFL DFS Wide Receivers

  • Amon-Ra St. Brown ($8,200 / $9,200 FD) – Top priced and top projected wide receiver in terms of volume. We all know who Amon-Ra is at this point and his importance to this Detroit offense. If there’s any matchup to exploit against one of the best pass-defenses in the NFL, it’s on the inside with Deommodore Lenoir.
  • Deebo Samuel ($7,300 DK / $8,000 FD) – Somehow, Deebo Samuel is good to go on Sunday despite the prop markets pricing him like a decoy. No one is going to play Deebo and we’ll need to take some sort of educated risk in GPP lineups on such a small slate. I don’t love it, but it’s probably a move I’m going to make.
  • Brandon Aiyuk ($6,900 DK / $7,900 FD) – In cash, you’re playing Brandon Aiyuk. Simple as that. He has the highest floor of any receiver not named Amon-Ra St. Brown and has plenty of upside to break this slate. He’s going to draw a ton of ownership and should be able to feast in play action against the Lions’ depleted secondary.
  • Zay Flowers ($5,800 DK / $6,400 FD) – Would much rather play runners against the Chiefs’ but the price on Zay Flowers and his importance to the Ravens’ offense always warrants roster consideration.
  • Josh Reynolds ($4,000 DK ONLY) & Jameson Williams ($3,700 DK / $5,000 FD) – The theme of the NFL Playoff DFS slates have been “which punt receiver from Detroit is going to hit value?” I’ll take the discount on Jameson Williams as the routes ran data is always there and he is obviously a better talent than Josh Reynolds, but Reynolds and Goff have great red-zone chemistry that I will not discount.

Honorable Mention: Rashee Rice, Rashod Bateman

Tight-Ends

  • George Kittle ($5,200 DK / $6,600 FD) – The best tight-end on the slate with a massive ceiling against the Lions’ zone and man coverage schemes. There are too many weapons for the 49ers for the Lions’ to take Kittle out of this game.
  • Isaiah Likely ($4,300 DK / $5,400 FD) – Mark Andrews will not get a full workload and with the weak receiving core and lack of size outside for Baltimore, Likely is going to be a factor in the passing game regardless of Andrews’ status.

Honorable Mention: Sam LaPorta, Travis Kelce

The Fab Five (DK Cash Games)

  • Lamar Jackson
  • Christian McCaffrey
  • Justice Hill
  • Brandon Aiyuk
  • Jameson Williams

Stix Picks GPP Core (DK)

  • Brock Purdy
  • Deebo Samuel
  • George Kittle
  • Isiah Likely

Welcome back for the Divisional Round Weekend NFL DFS slate breakdown! This week, it’s a very condensed, 4-game slate with two double-digit spreads on the Vegas board.

  • Josh Allen ($8,000 DK / $9,400 FD) – What is there to say at this point to further support Josh Allen’s fantasy football value? He’s the most expensive quarterback on the slate which will drive ownership down for the highest-floor/ceiling combo at the position this weekend.

Stack Options: “Naked”, Stefon Diggs, Dalton Kincaid, Khalil Shakir
Bring-Back Options: Rashee Rice, Travis Kelce, Isiah Pacheco

  • Patrick Mahomes ($6,800 DK / $7,700 FD) – A discounted Mahomes (rightfully so with his fantasy football performance this season) in a do-or-die game against a banged-up/semi-depleted Buffalo defense. I know this total is low for a Chiefs vs. Bills game, but the AETY Model still projects Mahomes to lead this slate in pass attempts (as the Chiefs have the highest Passing Rate Over Expectation) and he’s right there with Purdy/Goff for passing touchdown expectations. With the added benefit of the rushing from Mahomes, he’s by far and away my favorite GPP “pay-down” option while the field goes towards Goff and Purdy.

Stack Options: Rashee Rice, Travis Kelce, Isiah Pacheco, TBD on a KC punt
Bring-Back Options: Stefon Diggs, James Cook, Dalton Kincaid, Khalil Shakir

  • Brock Purdy ($6,500 DK / $7,800 FD) – If you’re not interested in the Mahomes angle for GPPs, Brock Purdy will be my next go-to. The Packers’ defense is 26th in the NFL (dead-last in the remaining playoff teams) in Pass Defense DVOA and the touchdown equity through the air leads the slate this week. I’m all about it if you want to get different and it’s prime leverage off of Christian McCaffrey if you can stomach a fade there.

Stack Options: Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle
Bring-Back Options: Stefon Diggs, James Cook, Dalton Kincaid, Khalil Shakir

  • Jared Goff ($6,300 DK / $7,600 FD) – Likely the highest owned quarterback on the slate (maybe Lamar beats him there) but for good reason. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are certainly more of a pass-funnel than they are a team to attack on the ground and Jared Goff leads this slate in projected passing yards. He or Allen would be my “safe” go-to for cash game builds but you can always go this way in GPP contests and get different elsewhere.

Stack Options: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs, Jameson Williams, Josh Reynolds
Bring-Back Options: Mike Evans, Chris Godwin

Honorable Mention: Lamar Jackson, Brock Purdy

NFL DFS Running Backs

  • Christian McCaffrey ($8,800 DK / $10,800 FD) – Expensive as hell, but he almost broke the AETY Model’s all-time projection output, lol. He’s been hampered with a calf injury to end the 2023 regular season if you’re looking for any spec of dust for fade consideration.

If you’re crazy, you could roster a 1-2% owned, Elijah Mitchell ($5,200 DK / $5,000 FD).
  • Jahmyr Gibbs ($6,600 DK / $7,300 FD) – On small slates, play the studs. Jahmyr Gibbs is one of the most talented football players in the NFL and has a poor-man’s McCaffrey’s workload through the air when facing a heavy blitz rate (Tampa Bay ranked 3rd in the NFL’s blitz rate). When the Lions need big plays, Gibbs will be on the field.

David Montgomery on the other hand is a GPP dart behind a great offensive line, incredibly high team total, and no ownership. We’ll need a lot of help in the red-zone to have a solid day but we should see a little uptick in passing action against the blitz.
  • Isiah Pacheco ($6,400 DK / $7,500 FD) – A three-down back with significant goal-line touch equity. I don’t love the spot for him, but the usage will be there in what should be a back-and-forth affair.
  • James Cook ($6,300 DK / $6,800 FD) – Great price and a great matchup against a Chiefs’ defense that allows a heavy workload to opposing pass-catching running backs. We’ll see some added usage to Cook through the air against the Chiefs’ heavy man-coverage rates. We always want to prioritize running backs who touch the ball 15+ times a game.
  • Dalvin Cook ($4,000 DK / $4,500 FD) – Pure dart throw that the usage may actually be there for Dalvin Cook based on the ole Twitter articles and Coach speak I could find. I hate it, but if you’re not into Elijah Mitchell as a punt, Dalvin should get 4-8 touches and maybe more if this game for some reason gets out of hand. It’s absolutely a prayer salary relief play.

Honorable Mention: Aaron Jones

NFL DFS Wide Receivers

  • Amon-Ra St. Brown ($8,200 / $9,200 FD) – Top priced and top projected wide receiver against a pass-funnel defense. We all know who Amon-Ra is at this point and his importance to this Detroit offense.
  • Mike Evans ($7,200 DK / $7,600 FD) – Great matchups on the outside against the Detroit pass-funnel defense and a 33% expected target share in the red-zone. I would assume the field will just take the discount on Chris Godwin who has slowly been moving more outside in their offense and in my opinion, hurts the high-floor we’re used to with Godwin. Mike Evans should have a field day if this becomes a shootout.
  • Brandon Aiyuk ($6,900 DK / $7,900 FD) – Aiyuk surprisingly grades out as a damn-near must-play inside the AETY Model. Having said that, I’ll stick to GPP’s only. Deebo would be fantastic as well, but it’s tough to get there (on DraftKings) with that salary. The Packers’ defense will blitz a lot and play a lot of Cover-3 zone defense. Both situations give Aiyuk an uptick in expected production against an awful Packers’ secondary.
  • Rashee Rice ($6,800 DK / $7,800 FD) – The top-pass catcher for Patrick Mahomes and a depleted Buffalo Bills secondary. Rice is a go for all formats.
  • Zay Flowers ($6,000 DK / $7,000 FD) – Great price for a WR1 against a pass-funnel defense that has given up multiple 100+ yard receiving games to opposing top-wideouts. You’re going to want to get some part of this Baltimore offense and their 26.5 implied team total and Zay has the highest upside of them all.
  • Christian Watson ($4,200 DK / $5,800 FD) – Another prayer type of play but the AETY Model expects a significant boost up in routes ran this week and a friendly target share against the 49ers’ Cover-1 and Cover-4 defense.
  • Jameson Williams ($3,600 DK / $5,300 FD) – Way too cheap and way too talented for the price-tag and sub-par secondary for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I know he let everyone down last week and people want to flock to Josh Reynolds, but Jameson Williams is one of the biggest expected benefactors against the Bucs’ heavy blitz rate and soft zone coverages.

Honorable Mention: Deebo Samuel, Chris Godwin, Jayden Reed, Khalil Shakir, John Metchie, Mecole Hardman

Tight-Ends

  • Sam LaPorta ($5,900 DK / $6,600 FD) – Don’t love the knee injury but LaPorta was still extremely active in terms of routes ran. The Bucs play a ton of Cover-3 zone leading to a lot of mismatches with talented route-running tight-ends. Hell, Juwan Johnson broke a slate against the Bucs!
  • George Kittle ($5,200 DK / $6,400 FD) – Just like last week’s Ferguson lock, but to a lesser extent, I love Kittle as a contrarian option on the slate for a flex or tight-end. The Packers’ grade 26th in DVOA against opposing tight-ends. Unlike Ferguson, we may have to worry about volume in PPR formats.
  • Isaiah Likely ($4,700 DK / $5,500 FD) – Too cheap with Mark Andrews out and a staple for cash-game lineups.

Honorable Mention: Travis Kelce, Dalton Kincaid

The Fab Five (DK Cash Games)

  • Jared Goff
  • Christian McCaffrey
  • Josh Reynolds
  • Isaiah Likely
  • Rashee Rice

Welcome back for the Super Wild Card Weekend NFL DFS slate breakdown! This week, it’s a condensed, 6-game slate with a some weather concerns (make sure you keep an eye on that). As always, we can focus more on lineup construction in Discord. The purpose of this article is to identify our model/plays for a NFL DFS cash game lineup on DraftKings and FanDuel Sunday Main Slates (also known as a double-up) in addition to my favorite NFL DFS GPP tournament plays.

My Slate Thoughts: Overall, I am mostly interested in the Sunday ONLY slate. I love the condensed player pool where we really only need to get different with one or two players. but this article will cover the full Saturday-Monday slate. For the most part, I’m avoiding the extremely cold and windy games of Miami @ Kansas City and Pittsburgh @ Buffalo.

NFL DFS Quarterbacks

  • Dak Prescott ($7,600 DK / $8,600 FD) – Prescott is on an absolute heater this year and I don’t see that stopping this weekend at home against the Packers (26th in pass defense DVOA). The stack-ability is rather simple and the AETY Model projects Dak Prescott to lead the slate in passing yards and passing touchdowns. The floor is second to maybe only a healthy Jalen Hurts. The only concern here is whether or not you think the Packers can hang in this game and keep Dak’s foot on the gas pedal. He’ll likely lead this slate in QB ownership.

Stack Options: CeeDee Lamb, Jake Ferguson, Brandin Cooks, Tony Pollard
Bring-Back Options: Jayden Reed, Aaron Jones, Tucker Kraft

  • Matthew Stafford ($6,500 DK / $7,400 FD) – If you want to get a little different, Matthew Stafford is the top QB value on the AETY Model and gets an up-tempo matchup against a pass-funnel Detroit defense. The player props for Stafford are right there with Dak Prescott and we have a significantly lower chance of a blowout gamescript in Detroit than what we may have in Dallas. The Rams’ receiving core should be at full health and ready to exploit matchups through the air against a banged up Detroit secondary.

*On the other side, if Jared Goff is going to be 10-15% owned on three-game slate against a pass-funnel defense, I’m interested.

Stack Options: Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, Tyler Higbee, Kyren Williams, Demarcus Robinson
Bring-Back Options: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs, Jameson Williams

  • Joe Flacco ($6,100 DK / $7,800 FD) – Too expensive for me on FanDuel, but a nice value price-tag for the recently revived gun-slinger. It appears since Flacco has taken over that the Browns want to move the ball through the air and they’ve been extremely successful doing so. Like the Detroit Lions, the Houston Texans are a pass-funnel defense but they will be more prepared for this matchup after Flacco went for 368 yards and three touchdowns against the Texans just three weeks ago.

Stack Options: Amari Cooper, David Njoku, Elijah Moore
    Bring-Back Options: Nico Collins

Honorable Mention: Patrick Mahomes, Jared Goff

NFL DFS Running Backs

  • Kyren Williams ($7,300 DK / $9,000 FD) – The volume is second-to-none and he literally produces every single week… but the matchup is a bit of a headache as the Lions are the top ranked run defense in terms of DVOA. The ownership will be up there and so is the price, so I’ll sign off on the play if you want to use him in cash games, but I’ll likely be out in GPP lineups despite my love for this Los Angeles run-blocking scheme.
  • Rachaad White ($6,900 DK / $7,700 FD) – I’m likely avoiding the variance of the Monday Night game due to the AETY Model pushing me towards players on the Sunday slate, but if you’re playing the full-slate, Rachaad White is a great contrarian option at the running back position. The Eagles can bleed production through the air to opposing running backs and have given up over 145 rushing yards per game over their last three games!
  • De’Von Achane ($6,800 DK / $7,400 FD) – With this weather and a banged up Jaylen Waddle, the Miami Dolphins have to get incredibly creative to score points on the ground. Like my write-up below on Jahmyr Gibbs, play the most talented players on small slates. The Dolphins’ offense is going to have to run through De’Von Achane and Tyreek Hill and I have more faith with Achane as Andy Reid will likely not let Tyreek beat them.
  • Jahmyr Gibbs ($6,500 DK / $7,400 FD) – On small slates, play the studs. Jahmyr Gibbs is one of the most talented football players in the NFL and will have a lot of added work through the air (as will ARSB, Jameson Williams, and Josh Reynolds) as Sam LaPorta is out with a knee injury. When the Lions need big plays, Gibbs will be on the field.
  • Aaron Jones ($6,300 DK / $7,000 FD) – No AJ Dillon… Just play Aaron Jones for the volume and passing-game work if you need an easy decision. I do think you can get different in GPPs and go for someone with more touchdown equity (Isiah Pachecho at $6,400 DK), but the volume alone has me very interested in Aaron Jones.
  • Tony Pollard ($6,100 DK / $7,800 FD) – Awful pricing by DraftKings on Tony Pollard. He leads the AETY Model in touchdown equity this weekend as a whole and has a great matchup as a touchdown-favorite at home against the Packers’ 26th ranked run defense (DVOA). We’re due for a Tony Pollard statement game after he disappointed the fantasy community in 2023.

Honorable Mention: James Cook, Isiah Pachecho, Jerome Ford

NFL DFS Wide Receivers

  • CeeDee Lamb ($9,000 DK / $10,000 FD) – Best play on the board at the wide-receiver position.
  • Amon-Ra St. Brown ($8,000 / $9,000 FD) – Amon-Ra St. Brown is going to need to have a massive game for the Lions to fill a big void if Sam LaPorta is hindered by the knee injury. He’ll get the added benefit of matching up with the slower Quentin Lake and some Cobie Durant on the inside of the Rams’ secondary. On DraftKings specifically, volume is key and these two top-tier wideouts offer us just that.
  • Cooper Kupp ($7,500 DK / $7,500 FD) – Quite the discount for Cooper Kupp these days… If you want to get different, fade one of the two above and play Cooper Kupp or Puka Nacua. I know there are some concerns with his upside and the crowded target-share with Puka Nacua ($7,200 DK / $8,000 FD) lighting the world on fire as well, but he’s still a fantasy asset with no ownership. I’m fine with either one of them in this spot.
  • Amari Cooper ($6,800 DK / $7,500 FD) – Don’t expect another season-leading fantasy performance from Amari Cooper, but he’s still a volume-hog WR1 in a pass-happy offense against a pass-funnel defense. The price is great and the matchup is even better.
  • Jayden Reed ($5,700 DK Only) – The Dallas Cowboys’ defense is extremely stout and quite healthy, but if this game goes as planned, the Packers will be playing from behind and using their most talented pass-catcher, Jayden Reed on the inside against nickel corner, Jourdan Lewis.
  • Demarcus Robinson ($3,600 DK / $6,300 FD) – Ridiculous pricing on FanDuel, but an extreme value on DraftKings. Both Sportsbooks and the AETY Model have Demarcus Robinson’s receiving prop in the mid-40s which is just too much value for someone who has an expected 90% snap-count in what should be a shootout atmosphere in Detroit. With the expected ownership, he’s best left for cash games.
  • Jameson Williams ($3,500 DK / $5,200 FD) – Way too cheap and way too talented for the price-tag and sub-par secondary for the Los Angeles Rams. With Kalif Raymond out, Jameson Williams should be schemed all over the field to attack the Rams soft zone coverage.

Honorable Mention: Tyreek Hill, Puka Nacua, Nico Collins, Mike Evans, Rashee Rice, Khalil Shakir, Trent Sherfield

Tight-Ends

  • David Njoku ($5,600 DK / $7,000 FD) – I don’t think I can get behind the price on FanDuel, but since Joe Flacco has entered town, David Njoku is putting up WR1 numbers.
  • Dallas Goedert ($4,800 DK / $6,100 FD) – Keep an eye on the status of AJ Brown (I highly doubt he plays) but regardless, Dallas Goedert gets the nut matchup against the Bucs’ secondary who has been bleeding slate-breaking games to opposing tight-ends over the past month.
  • Jake Ferguson ($4,600 DK / $6,200 FD) – I personally think Ferguson is one of the best contrarian options on the slate for a flex or tight-end. The Packers’ grade 26th in DVOA against opposing tight-ends and we know how big of a red-zone threat Ferguson is in addition to his high floor in PPR formats. It would not surprise me if Ferguson is the TE1 on this slate.
  • Tyler Higbee ($3,400 DK / $5,200 FD) – Punt value type of play for our Stafford stacks against a Lions’ defense that loves to play Cover-2 (where Higbee has had incredible success with Stafford).

Honorable Mention: Dalton Schultz, Cade Otton, Luke Musgrave

The Fab Five (DK Cash Games)

  • Matthew Stafford
  • CeeDee Lamb
  • Amon-Ra. St. Brown
  • Aaron Jones
  • Jameson Williams

NFL DFS GPP Core (Sunday)

  • Jared Goff
  • Tony Pollard
  • CeeDee Lamb
  • Jameson Williams

Welcome back for the Week 16 NFL DFS Cash Game and GPP Breakdown. This week, it’s a loaded, 13-game slate with a ton of explosive games. If you haven’t yet, please check out the 1st and Stix Podcast… that will include a higher level, game-by-game breakdown (this week was another Podcast BYE week. Hoping to be back after the Holiday travel season).

Let’s have ourselves a NFL DFS season!

Highest Implied Team Totals for Week 17 (teams we want to try to get exposure to):
– San Francisco 49ers (31)
– Philadelphia Eagles (30)
– Buffalo Bills (27)
– Kansas City Chiefs (25.5)
– Baltimore Ravens (25)

NFL DFS Quarterbacks

This is a loaded week in terms of the Quarterback player-pool. I am not going to be a fan of paying down at the position this week. I’ll format this article a little bit different as it is such a large slate with tons of studs/values.

The Studs:

  • Jalen Hurts ($8,300 DK / $9,200 FD) – Second highest team total on the board against the second worst defense in the NFL. You don’t need me to explain the high floor / high ceiling combination that Hurts possesses in Week 17. He’s a full go for all NFL DFS formats.
  • Josh Allen ($8,200 DK / $8,800 FD) – Great matchup on paper against a weak New England defense, but we have severe blowout concerns here in addition to the expected pace of this game. On the bright-side, not many will pay-up for Josh Allen which makes in viable in GPP contests.
  • Lamar Jackson ($7,700 DK / $7,900 FD) – Fantastic price on FanDuel for exposure to one of the highest total games on the slate. The injury to Jaylen Waddle hurts the back-and-forth nature of this game ever-so-slightly, but this is still one of the best games for fantasy fireworks.
  • Patrick Mahomes ($7,500 DK / $8,000 FD) – A sub-5% owned Mahomes in a damn-near must-win game is always intriguing. The Bengals have given up over 265 passing yards per game over their last three and will have their hands full against a motivated Patrick Mahomes at Arrowhead on Sunday. He’s a fine play in GPP tournaments.

Mid-Tier:

  • C.J. Stroud ($7,100 DK / $7,800 FD) – The Texans will certainly have a warm welcome back to the NFL Rookie of the Year, C.J. Stroud. At this price, I’d prefer just finding the extra cash for a lower-owned Mahomes, but I’ll never fault you for playing Stroud at home against a pass-funnel defense.
  • Brock Purdy ($7,000 DK / $8,500 FD) – The best matchup on the slate against a horrible Washington defense that is without two of their “top-corners”. I can’t imagine a scenario where Washington stays in this game and would limit my exposure to Purdy in cash games. He’s likely going to lead the DraftKings NFL DFS slate in ownership.

Value:

  • Kyler Murray ($6,300 DK / $7,800 FD) – A pass-funnel defense in Philadelphia in what likely will be a very negative gamescript for the Arizona Cardinals. The pass-catchers are lacking outside of Trey McBride, but you play Kyler Murray for what he can do with his legs. GPP and cash viable at this price (DraftKings).

Honorable Mention: I don’t really want to consider playing a pay-down quarterback. Tyrod Taylor, Will Levis, and Jarrett Stidham will somehow draw ownership and I’m out on that.

NFL DFS Running Backs

Similar to the quarterback introduction, you do not need me to tell you to play Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, or Kyren Williams. I like to prioritize running backs who grade as a value (expected fantasy points / salary) and have a clear path to 15+ touches in any gamescript. Some weeks, I will certainly highlight the studs, but this is more to help you find some value.

  • Christian McCaffrey ($9,600 DK / $11,000 FD) – CMC about broke the AETY Model this week, lol. If you can afford him, he’s the best cash play on the slate. I worry about the blowout potential here, but I also have faith than Shanahan is going to do everything he can to get McCaffrey a MVP award this season.
  • Kyren Williams ($8,300 DK / $9,400 FD) – Volume and matchup combination is second to only the man above him in this article.
  • Travis Etienne Jr. ($7,200 DK / $8,600 FD) – The matchup against the Panthers for opposing running backs is something we touch on every single week. With C.J. Beathard getting the starting nod on Sunday, that will take all ownership away from Etienne. This offense will run through him with the occasional Engram and Ridley in the passing game when they need it. Etienne is in play for GPP lineups only.
  • D’Andre Swift ($6,500 DK / $7,600 FD) – Number one mismatch in the AETY Model for offensive line vs defensive line grades. If you can stomach the green-zone volatility, Swift is an excellent value in all formats in Week 17. We always look to play top-tier rushers as a double-digit home favorite… especially when no one wants to play them.
  • Javonte Williams ($5,600 DK / $6,500 FD) – The second highest mismatch on the AETY Model. I truly believe Javonte has lost a step (if not two) since the surgery, but he’s still going to bring us that 15+ touch volume we’re looking for.
  • Kansas City Chiefs – Will monitor this situation as we learn more about Pacheco’s injury status and Edwards-Helaire’s health.
  • Zamir White ($5,100 DK / $6,100 FD) – Free-square again this week with Josh Jacobs doubtful to play.

Honorable Mention: Rachaad White, Jonathan Taylor, Ezekiel Elliott (cash-viable at the ownership), Devin Singletary, Najee Harris, Chase Brown, Tyjae Spears

NFL DFS Wide Receivers

Like the positions above, you don’t need me to write-up every single stud on the slate. Guys like Justin Jefferson, Ja’Maar Chase, Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams, Stefon Diggs, CeeDee Lamb and AJ Brown are ALWAYS in play. I’ll likely highlight one or two of them each week, but I’d rather spend time helping you find ways to build a quality lineup instead of telling the obvious studs are probably a good play. This will be a list this week with more details on each matchup in Discord.

  • AJ Brown ($8,600 DK / $8,500 FD) – All formats.
  • Michael Pittman Jr. ($7,500 DK / $7,700 FD) – GPP only as this Raiders’ defense has really stepped up of late, but the volume and low-ownership combination in a must-win game should offer us a lot of leverage when the field pays down for values at the position.
  • Nico Collins ($7,200 DK / $7,300 FD) – Cash game staple at the ownership we are seeing this week. I’m personally going to fade this whole situation with the slow pace Tennessee is likely going to play at. Noah Brown ($5,100 DK / $6,500 FD) is also in a nice spot, but I’d only touch that price on DraftKings.
  • Brandon Aiyuk ($7,000 DK / $7,500 FD) – The worst secondary in the NFL who happens to play a ton of man coverage. We play Aiyuk against man coverage.
  • Chris Olave ($6,800 DK / $7,400 FD) – The same reason we’ve been playing WR1’s against the Bucs the past few weeks… Load up Olave in all formats if you can afford him. Carlton Davis will be out again this week which is another added boost.
  • DJ Moore ($6,600 DK / $7,500 FD) – This week’s Amari Cooper in terms of mid-tier WR1s with zero ownership. I’m in for GPPs.
  • DeAndre Hopkins ($6,000 DK / $6,700 FD) – Great price and matchup for a Houston secondary that again will be without Steven Nelson. They’re slowly becoming one of the best secondaries to pick on. Cash and GPP Viable.
  • Zay Flowers ($5,600 DK / $6,300 FD) – Too cheap for this game environment.
  • Demario Douglas ($4,300 DK / $6,100 FD) – Likely a cash-game staple at this price and ownership.
  • Punt Values – Rondale Moore, Michael Wilson, Darius Slayton, Brandon Johnson, Mecole Hardman

Honorable Mention: Tyreek Hill, Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp, DeVonta Smith, Rashee Rice, Chris Godwin, Jerry Jeudy

Tight-Ends

  • Travis Kelce ($7,000 DK / $7,800 FD) – I haven’t played Kelce in months and he certainly looks like his good days are behind him, but at sub-10% ownership in a matchup against the Bengals (31st in DVOA vs. Opposing Tight-Ends), I’m going to go back to the well here. I am in on the Chiefs this week and will be starting those stacks with Kelce.
  • Trey McBride ($5,900 DK / $6,800 FD) – Just keep playing him in these matchups and negative gamescripts. I do worry Trey is all the Cardinals’ have on the offensive side of things and they can scheme to slow him down, but the price is still worth it for the expected volume.
  • Isaiah Likely ($4,600 DK / $6,000 FD) – The Dolphins can be beat on the inside of their zone-coverage and have struggled against talented tight-ends all season long. Likely is at a great price will draw no ownership for your GPP tournaments.
  • Chig Okonkwo ($3,600 DK / $5,400 FD) – Chiggy will be the chalk pay-down option this weekend. Truthfully, I have zero interest and will pay up at the position, but if you want to ride the train in cash, he’s your guy.
  • Gerald Everett ($3,500 DK / $5,300 FD) – The only healthy, proven pass-catcher for the Chargers in the number one matchup for tight-ends. The ceiling is extremely limited, but the AETY Model and player-prop market seem to think he’s a great value.
  • Durham Smythe ($2,900 DK / $4,800 FD) – Absolute punt-play in GPPs only. I had a very hard time realistically simulating his involvement with no Jaylen Waddle against the coverage scheme for Baltimore and AETY spit out some good games and other games where he doesn’t draw a target. Good luck if you need to punt tight-end!

Honorable Mention: Dalton Kincaid, Dallas Goedert, Darren Waller, Dalton Schultz

The Fab Five (DK Cash Games)

  • Jalen Hurts
  • Zamir White
  • Chig Okonkwo
  • Nico Collins
  • Chris Olave

NFL DFS GPP Core Plays:

  • Patrick Mahomes
  • Travis Kelce
  • D’Andre Swift
  • Zay Flowers

Welcome back for the Week 16 NFL DFS Cash Game and GPP Breakdown. This week, it’s a condensed nine-game slate with mediocre totals (other than Dallas @ Miami). If you haven’t yet, please check out the 1st and Stix Podcast… that will include a higher level, game-by-game breakdown (this week was another Podcast BYE week. Hoping to be back after the Holiday travel season).

Let’s have ourselves a NFL DFS season!

Highest Implied Team Totals for Week 15 (teams we want to try to get exposure to):
– Miami Dolphins (26)
– Detroit Lions (25)
– Dallas Cowboys (24.5)
– Chicago Bears (24)
– Atlanta Falcons (23.5)

NFL DFS Quarterbacks

You do not need me to tell you to pay up for studs like Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen etc. If you want to play them, you know who to stack them with and get after it.

  • Dak Prescott ($7,900 DK / $8,500 FD) – The no-brainer type of pay-up this week in an anticipated shootout and a must-win type of mindset for both teams fighting for playoff seeding. Dak is in play for all formats this week.

    Stack Options:
CeeDee Lamb, Jake Ferguson, Tony Pollard
Bring-Back Options: Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, De’Von Achane
  • Justin Fields ($7,100 DK / $8,300 FD) – Likely the most popular quarterback on the Week 16 NFL DFS main-slate but for good reason. This is a cake matchup against the Cardinals (31st in pass defense DVOA) and Fields is playing for a future contract. Lock him in your cash game lineups and feel free to fire him up in GPPs, just get different somewhere.

Stack Options: DJ Moore, Cole Kmet
Bring-Back Options: Trey McBride, Michael Wilson
  • Trevor Lawrence ($6,600 DK / $7,900 FD) – It sounds like T-Law is going to pass “concussion protocol” and be wheels up against the pass-funnel defense of the Tampa Bay Bucs. We don’t need to discuss how poor the Bucs’ have been on defense lately…

Stack Options: Calvin Ridley, Evan Engram
Bring-Back Options: Mike Evans, Rachaad White, Chris Godwin
  • Kyler Murray ($6,400 DK / $7,600 FD) – I’ll go right back to Kyler again this week. I absolutely loved him last week at 2-5% ownership against a banged up 49ers’ defense and now he gets a significant matchup upgrade against the Bears. The Bears’ defense has been much better than the public gives them credit for, but on a small slate with a lot of mediocre quarterbacks, give me the solid value on a dual-threat quarterback with a condensed target share.

Stack Options: Trey McBride, Michael Wilson
    Bring-Back Options: DJ Moore

Honorable Mention: Jared Goff, Geno Smith

NFL DFS Running Backs

Similar to the quarterback introduction, you do not need me to tell you to play Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, or Austin Ekeler. I like to prioritize running backs who grade as a value (expected fantasy points / salary) and have a clear path to 15+ touches in any gamescript. Some weeks, I will certainly highlight the studs, but this is more to help you find some value.

  • Rachaad White ($7,400 DK / $7,700 FD) – Just pure usage here. It’s hard to find anyone other than Kyren Williams and Christian McCaffrey who get 20+ touches a week. The Jaguars have given up over 160 rushing yards over the past three weeks.
  • Jonathan Taylor ($7,200 DK / $9,000 FD) – Probably a bit too expensive on FanDuel, but a great price on DraftKings. It looks like Zack Moss will be out with the arm injury leading to a strong workload for the talented RB1 for the Colts. The Falcons’ defense ranks dead last in DVOA against opposing RBs and have given up over 110 rushing yards per game over the past three weeks. This Falcons’ defense really misses Grady Jarrett. More of a cash game play for me at the current ownership.
  • Aaron Jones ($6,400 DK / $6,700 FD) – Like Walker below, the prices on Aaron Jones (if AJ Dillon is OUT) are way too low for a prime matchup against the Carolina Panthers and their 31st ranked run defense (DVOA). This is an excellent pivot away from some of the chalk in the upper $6K range.
  • Bijan Robinson ($6,300 DK / $7,100 FD) – If you can stomach it… GPP only.
  • Kenneth Walker ($6,200 DK / $6,800 FD) – Way too cheap on both outlets against a Titans’ defense that will likely be without key run stoppers Jack Gibbens, Luke Gifford, and of course, Jeffery Simmons. They’ve given up over 120 rushing yards per game over the past three weeks.
  • Chuba Hubbard ($5,700 DK / $6,400 FD) – Another great value for a running back getting 18+ touches on a weekly basis. Like last week, we will continue to pick on the Green Bay Packers’ run defense.
  • Roschon Johnson ($4,800 DK / $5,400 FD) – No D’Onta Foreman opens up a lot of value for rookie, Roschon Johnson.

Honorable Mention: Rachaad White, De’Von Achane, Tony Pollard, Jahmyr Gibbs, Ty Chandler

This week, I love the top of this receiver board but there is plenty of value to make it all work.

  • CeeDee Lamb ($9,200 DK / $9,400 FD) – The only consistent game in town for this Cowboys’ wide receiving core and gets a prime matchup against Kader Kohou. This is the highest total game on the slate by wide margin and we will want to make an effort to try to get a key contributor or two into our lineup if the salary cap allows.
  • Justin Jefferson ($8,100 DK / $9,200 FD) – The passing props for Nick Mullens are truly remarkably high and it looks like the DFS community is going to jam in Justin Jefferson this week. It is a fantastic matchup against the Lions’ and their heavy use of Cover-2. I’m fine if you want to follow the crowd and give Jefferson serious consideration in cash game lineups.
  • DJ Moore ($6,900 DK / $8,200 FD) – The WR1 going up against the Arizona Cardinals’ secondary. Justin Fields tunnels in on DJ Moore and the volume alone is worth this price (on DraftKings specifically).
  • DK Metcalf ($6,700 DK / $7,600 FD) – Absolutely fire up our boy DK Metcalf against this depleted Titans’ defense who we’ve attacked all year long. I love this spot for him and would anticipate his ownership is sub-10% due to all of the pay-up options on this slate. He’s one of my favorite plays on the slate this week as the Titans’ will be without Amani Hooker and Sean Murphy-Bunting. In addition, Geno Smith is back.
  • Calvin Ridley ($6,300 DK / $6,800 FD) – Incredible value for the only healthy pass-catcher on the outside for the Jaguars against the pass-funnel defense in Tampa Bay. He’s in play for all formats in NFL DFS this weekend.
  • Garrett Wilson ($5,800 DK / $7,000 FD) – It’s gross, but the AETY Model still loves the value for Garrett Wilson against the worst secondary in the NFL despite the fact Trevor Siemian is the starting quarterback for the Jets.
  • Drake London ($5,100 DK / $6,200 FD) – For whatever it’s worth, the AETY Model has nailed the big games for Drake London and it loves him again in Week 16. We always target the exterior pass-catchers going up against the Indianapolis Colts and we won’t stop this week despite the questionable quarterback play and coaching in Atlanta.
  • Dontayvion Wicks ($4,300 DK / $5,400 FD) – If Jayden Reed is ruled out, I would expect the DFS community and optimizers to jam in Dontayvion Wicks. I am OKAY with this move in cash games, but in GPP tournaments, I think this is a bit of a coming out party (in terms of value) for Malik Heath ($3,200 DK / $4,400 FD).
  • Michael Wilson ($3,700 DK / $5,100 FD) – 0% owned GPP dart-throw yet again this week. Marquise Brown is OUT for Week 16 and I’ll go right back to the well with the talented, big-bodied wideout. He blanked us last week but should have had 40+ receiving yards and a touchdown.

Honorable Mention: Tyreek Hill, Justin Jefferson, Mike Evans, Michael Pittman Jr., Amari Cooper, Jameson Williams, DJ Montgomery, Malik Heath

Tight-Ends

  • Trey McBride ($5,700 DK / $7,000 FD) – Absolute mis-price on DraftKings. What else do we need to see from Trey McBride. He’s producing like the next coming of Rob Gronkowski and this is a fantastic matchup in an up-paced game against Chicago.
  • Evan Engram ($5,400 DK / $6,300 FD) – It looks like the theme of this article is to pay-up at the tight-end position this week. If Zay Jones is out, Evan Engram becomes the WR2 for this Jaguars’ offense against the Bucs’ secondary we love to attack. I’d probably prefer the savings of Jake Ferguson if you’re not playing Trey McBride.
  • David Njoku ($5,300 DK / $6,600 FD) – I likely won’t get here in DFS lineups this week, but it’s hard to overlook the domination Njoku has shown on a weekly basis with Joe Flacco under center.
  • Jake Ferguson ($4,900 DK / $6,000 FD) – Cheap, high-upside exposure to the highest total game on the slate.

Honorable Mention: Sam LaPorta, TJ Hockenson, Cole Kmet, Kyle Pitts

Defense/Special Teams

  • Cleveland Browns
  • Seattle Seahawks
  • New York Jets
  • Miami Dolphins
  • Carolina Panthers

The Fab Five (DK Cash Games)

  • Justin Fields
  • Calvin Ridley
  • Chuba Hubbard
  • Trey McBride
  • Dontayvion Wicks (if Jayden Reed is OUT)

NFL DFS GPP Core Plays:

  • Kyler Murray
  • DK Metcalf
  • DJ Moore
  • Aaron Jones

Welcome back for the Week 15 NFL DFS Cash Game and GPP Breakdown. This week, it’s another gross 10-game slate with mediocre totals. If you haven’t yet, please check out the 1st and Stix Podcast… that will include a higher level, game-by-game breakdown (this week was a Podcast BYE week).

NFL DFS Quarterbacks

You do not need me to tell you to pay up for studs like Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen etc. If you want to play them, you know who to stack them with and get after it.

  • Josh Allen ($8,200 DK / $9,000 FD) – The most expensive quarterback on the slate but the highest upside yet again this week. This is do-or-die time for the Buffalo Bills and the AETY Model expects another strong performance out of Josh Allen on Sunday. He’s the best play at the position for all formats. This is a condensed slate and with the pay-down values at QB drawing a lot of ownership, Josh Allen is likely going to come in around 5%.

    Stack Options:
    Stefon Diggs, Dalton Kincaid
Bring-Back Options: CeeDee Lamb, Tony Pollard, Jake Ferguson
  • Kyler Murray ($6,400 DK / $7,500 FD) – Kyler is not a play for the faint of heart this week. The sole reason no one will play him (making him an excellent, yet obvious risky GPP play) is because they see the 49ers’ defense is on the other side. What many people in the DFS community do not look into is the injury report. This week, the 49ers will be without Arik Armstead, Oren Burks, and Javon Hargrave (with Charvarius Ward and Dre Greenlaw questionable). That will certainly help the cause for Kyler and company to keep this game close and move the ball on offense.

Kyler may not be a great real-life quarterback, but he fills it up from a fantasy perspective and should be in a pass-heavy gamescript from the jump as the Cardinals are a double-digit home underdog.

Stack Options: Trey McBride, Marquise Brown, Michael Wilson
Bring-Back Options: Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle
  • Jordan Love ($6,200 DK / $8,000 FD) – Maybe a bit too pricey on FanDuel, but I’m continuing to pick on this Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defense. They’ve been bleeding production through the air and just let Desmond Ridder of all people have a career game against them. The Packers and Bucs are both in “must-win” mode and should offer the DFS community a back-and-forth shootout type of atmosphere.

Stack Options: Jayden Reed, Tucker Kraft
Bring-Back Options: Mike Evans, Rachaad White
  • Matthew Stafford ($6,000 DK / $7,200 FD) – Chalk quarterback of the week in the nut-matchup against the depleted sieve defense of Washington. We don’t need to say a whole lot more about how good this situation is on paper for Stafford and the Rams’ offense.

Stack Options: Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, Kyren Williams
Bring-Back Options: Terry McLaurin, Antonio Gibson, Logan Thomas

Honorable Mention: Brock Purdy, Sam Howell

NFL DFS Running Backs

Similar to the quarterback introduction, you do not need me to tell you to play Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, or Austin Ekeler. I like to prioritize running backs who grade as a value (expected fantasy points / salary) and have a clear path to 15+ touches in any gamescript. Some weeks, I will certainly highlight the studs, but this is more to help you find some value.

  • Christian McCaffrey ($9,300 DK / $10,000 FD) – The best play on this board this week if salary cap is not an issue.
  • Kyren Williams ($7,500 DK / $9,600 FD) – In cash games, I’m fine if you want to ride the chalk-train on Kyren Williams if you’re not playing Stafford. It’s hard to say anything negative about Kyren Williams and his current usage but I personally have a hard time wrapping my brain around paying this much in salary for Kyren Williams. On DraftKings, it’s not too much of a burden (though I would probably prefer Saquon Barkley for $200 less), but on FanDuel, just find the extra $400 for McCaffrey.
  • Rachaad White ($7,000 DK / $7,600 FD) – Fantastic matchup and a similar workload to Kyren Williams. The Green Bay Packers’ refuse to defend the run game and White doesn’t leave the field. He is an excellent play in all formats.
  • Bijan Robinson ($6,800 DK / $8,600 FD) – Way too cheap on DraftKings, but still in play on FanDuel in this matchup against the Carolina Panthers’ run defense. The weather is going to be messy which should lead to an above-average workload for one of the most talented, dual-threat players in the NFL.
  • Ezekiel Elliott ($5,800 DK / $6,500 FD) – Only writing him up due to expected ownership and a cash-game value type of play. I want nothing to do with anyone on the Patriots’ dumpster fire of a football team, but if I have to use the savings that Elliott offers, in CASH GAMES ONLY, I’ll sleep just fine at night. In GPP lineups, I’d give serious consideration to James Conner ($5,700 DK / $6,300 FD).
  • Antonio Gibson ($5,200 DK / $5,600 FD) – Cash game staple at this price and ownership.

Honorable Mention: Alvin Kamara, Saquon Barkley, Raheem Mostert (if Achane is OUT), Tony Pollard, Derrick Henry, James Conner

This week, I love the top of this receiver board but there is plenty of value to make it all work.

  • Cooper Kupp ($7,800 DK / $8,200 FD) – Way too cheap for this matchup. The AETY Model absolutely loves this spot for Cooper Kupp and he’s firmly in play in all NFL DFS formats this weekend.
  • Mike Evans ($7,500 DK / $8,300 FD) – I’ll always be interested in Mike Evans when he’s around the 5% ownership mark. This weekend, that will be the case against the Packers in what the AETY Model thinks should be a high-scoring affair. If Chris Godwin is limited or OUT, this offense will run through Rachaad White and Mike Evans. I’m all for a 3-2 type of game-stack here.
  • Brandon Aiyuk ($7,200 DK / $7,800 FD) – Getting a key contributor from this 49ers’ offense will be a focal point for my lineups in Week 15. We’ve been targeting outside receivers against the Cardinals all season long. This is a team we want to get exposure to.
  • Rashee Rice ($6,100 DK / $6,500 FD) – Still too cheap for Patrick Mahomes’ top target over the past three weeks. The Patriots will likely try their best to scheme Travis Kelce out of this game and they do not have the personnel to slow down both Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce. The Chiefs’ offense needs to kick it in gear on Sunday and will look to get Rice open in space all across the field and especially in the red-zone.
  • Terry McLaurin ($5,600 DK / $6,700 FD) – I’m still a big believer in the talent of Terry McLaurin and this is the highest passing yard prop I’ve seen for Sam Howell this season. The majority of the DFS world is going to get exposure to both sides of this game and I can’t think of a better salary-saving upside play to fit that mold than Terry McLaurin. On DraftKings, it looks like his ownership will be high and worthy of cash-game consideration.
  • Jayden Reed ($4,900 DK / $6,100 FD) – The Packers’ receiving core is quite banged up this week and will be without Christian Watson again on Sunday. Jayden Reed is simply the guy for Jordan Love and this price-tag is too sexy to avoid. I don’t really care what his ownership is, Reed is too involved in this offense to second-guess.
  • Rashid Shaheed ($4,300 DK / $6,000 FD) – Value play on DraftKings specifically assuming that Chris Olave is OUT. He has the big play ability and should be in line for a 22% or higher expected target share. Against this Giants’ secondary and these prices, you could do worse.
  • Wan’Dale Robinson ($3,700 DK / $5,300 FD) – Picking on Alontae Taylor on the inside of the Saints’ secondary. There is absolutely nothing sexy about rostering Wan’Dale Robinson, but he offers us enough of a floor to consider in cash games at this price.
  • Michael Wilson ($3,300 DK / $5,100 FD) – 0% owned GPP dart-throw. It sounds like Michael Wilson will be back in action in Week 15 and I love his size advantage against the 49ers’ banged up secondary. If for some reason Charvarius Ward is ruled out, I love this spot even more for the salary-relief Wilson.

Honorable Mention: CeeDee Lamb, Deebo Samuel, Stefon Diggs, Puka Nacua, DeAndre Hopkins, Garrett Wilson, Romeo Doubs, Marquise Brown

Tight-Ends

  • Dalton Kincaid ($5,300 DK / $5,600 FD) – Amazing price on both NFL DFS outlets. I was a bit worried to see the usage for Kincaid last week with the return of Dawson Knox, but it looks like the odd-man out will be Khalil Shakir. Kincaid is basically playing slot receiver and will have massive size and speed advantages in the Sunday afternoon shootout.
  • Jake Ferguson ($4,800 DK Only) – I’d simply go to Kincaid on FanDuel, but you can use Ferguson and his elite red-zone usage for cheap exposure to the highest total game on the slate against a banged up Bills’ defense.
  • Logan Thomas ($3,700 DK / $5,100 FD) – I’m not really a Logan Thomas guy, but the Rams’ are bottom-five in coverage grades versus opposing tight-ends and as I mentioned with Terry McLaurin above, this is an excellent situation for the Commanders’ pass-catchers. Sam Howell gets tunnel vision for the big-bodied tight-end in and around the red-zone.
  • Tucker Kraft ($3,000 DK / $4,700 FD) – The cheap, pay-down chalk tight-end this week. I don’t love rostering Tucker Kraft in GPP tournaments, but I’m OKAY if you want to eat the chalk in cash.

Honorable Mention: Travis Kelce, George Kittle, Trey McBride, David Njoku, Chig Okonkwo

The Fab Five (DK Cash Games)

  • Matthew Stafford
  • Antonio Gibson
  • Rashee Rice
  • Chig Okonkwo
  • New York Jets

NFL DFS GPP Core Plays:

  • Kyler Murray
  • Christian McCaffrey
  • Brandon Aiyuk
  • Michael Wilson
*Holiday Bonus: EARLY ONLY CORE
  • Jordan Love
  • Rachaad White
  • Jayden Reed
  • Rashid Shaheed

Welcome back for the Week 14 NFL DFS Cash Game and GPP Breakdown. This week, it’s another gross 10-game slate with mediocre totals. If you haven’t yet, please check out the 1st and Stix Podcast… that will include a higher level, game-by-game breakdown (this week was a Podcast BYE week).

Let’s have ourselves a NFL DFS season!

*This is an absolutely loaded slate and one that offers multiple ways to get crazy different in tournaments.

Highest Implied Team Totals for Week 14:
– San Francisco 49ers (30)
– Kansas City Chiefs (25)
– Baltimore Ravens (24)
– Buffalo Bills (23.75)
– Los Angeles Chargers (23.5)
– Detroit Lions (23.25)

NFL DFS Quarterbacks

You do not need me to tell you to pay up for studs like Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen etc. If you want to play them, you know who to stack them with and get after it.

  • Josh Allen ($8,300 DK / $9,000 FD) – The most expensive quarterback on the slate but the highest upside by a mile. This is do-or-die time for the Buffalo Bills and the AETY Model expects a heroic performance out of Josh Allen on Sunday. He’s the best play at the position for all formats. With such a loaded slate and pay-down values at QB drawing a lot of ownership, Josh Allen is likely going to come in around 5%…

    Stack Options:
Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Dalton Kincaid
Bring-Back Options: Travis Kelce, Rashee Rice, Isiah Pachecho
  • Justin Fields ($6,800 DK / $7,900 FD) – Great price for a dual-threat quarterback who has a rushing prop in the low 60s. The Lions’ defense is on tilt and Justin Fields is playing for his future. I don’t love this spot for him, but we cannot miss at the quarterback position this week and the rushing floor is enough to warrant a look in both cash and GPP NFL DFS lineups.

    Stack Options: DJ Moore
Bring-Back Options: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs, David Montgomery, Sam LaPorta
  • Joshua Dobbs ($5,900 DK Only) – In what very well could be a low-key shootout, Joshua Dobbs checks in as the number-one value on the AETY Model for the quarterback position this week. If you trust the Raiders to stay in this game, Dobbs is a cheap, dual-threat quarterback with a condensed target share that makes it easy to stack. GPP lineups only!

Stack Options: Justin Jefferson, TJ Hockenson
Bring-Back Options: Davante Adams, Josh Jacobs
  • Russell Wilson ($5,800 DK / $7,400 FD) – I’m personally not a Russ guy this week but it looks like he’ll be closer to 10% and in the top-tier of ownership at the quarterback position in Week 14. This is an excellent matchup for the Broncos’ offense and both teams are playing for their (limited) playoff hopes. Russ continues to do damage with his legs and offer us a floor that is safe enough for cash games.

Stack Options: Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy
    Bring-Back Options: Keenan Allen
  • Jake Browning ($5,200 DK / $6,500 FD) – If you’re looking to pay all the way down, Jake Browning has some game and is in a fantastic matchup against the Colts’ defense. The game total continues to rise throughout the week and a healthy core of weapons for the Bengals doesn’t hurt the case.

Stack Options: Ja’Maar Chase, Joe Mixon
Bring-Back Options: Michael Pittman Jr., Zack Moss, Josh Downs

Honorable Mention: Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert (love in GPP), Brock Purdy

  • Alvin Kamara ($8,200 DK / $9,000 FD) – Somehow there is now ownership going towards Alvin Kamara this week in the number one matchup for running backs… If you can afford him, fire him all the way up against the Panthers’ 32nd ranked run defense (DVOA). This is a home run spot if Taysom Hill is OUT.
  • Isiah Pachecho ($6,700 DK / $7,000 FD) – Pachecho is going to draw a ton of ownership due to his recent success and being a part of the Chiefs’ offense in a high-total game. In cash, I’m 100% okay with you riding it. In GPP lineups, I’ll likely pass on this ownership with the return of Jerick McKinnon who is likely to eat away at that invaluable target share Pachecho has had out of the backfield lately.
  • Bijan Robinson ($6,500 DK / $7,100 FD) – Fantastic prices on both outlets for Bijan Robinson (projected 10-15% ownership) in another game where both teams are fighting for playoff hopes. Robinson is no longer splitting the workload evenly with Allgeier and gets a plus-matchup if Vita Vea misses this game for the Bucs. Bijan has an anticipated top-5 opportunity share this week (according to the AETY Model).
  • Joe Mixon ($6,100 DK / $7,200 FD) – Mixon’s fantasy value comes solely from the passing-game work and red-zone equity now that Chase Brown is getting more snaps on a weekly basis. On DraftKings, the passing game work offers us an excellent floor for cash game lineups in what should be a surprisingly back-and-forth affair versus the Colts’ sieve of a defense.
  • Zack Moss ($5,900 DK / $6,800 FD) – AETY Model number-one value at running back who is still too cheap for the expected usage and plus-matchup against the Bengals 29th ranked run defense (DVOA). Cash game lock and I’m fine if you eat the chalk in GPP tournaments if the salary relief helps you build a better lineup.
  • Javonte Williams ($5,800 DK / $6,600 FD) – If you’re looking for another cheap running back workload in a great matchup, Javonte Williams is your guy. I’m seeing ownership projections on Williams closer to 15% but I’ll take the under there. Javonte is best left for GPP lineups as a salary relief back or pivot off of Zack Moss chalk.
  • Keaton Mitchell ($4,900 DK / $5,900 FD) – Rookie running backs after the BYE week… Let’s go Keaton! We know he’s extremely explosive and the sportsbooks finally flipped the rushing yard props for this Baltimore backfield in favor of Mitchell. Having said that, we likely will not see any goal-line work as that will go to Gus Edwards and Lamar Jackson. If you roll the dice with Mitchell, you’re praying for the big play, which Mitchell has shown the ability to provide on a weekly basis.
  • Clyde Edwards-Helaire ($4,200 DK / $5,500 FD) – Free-square type of play in cash games but I do not love this at all for GPP lineups.

Honorable Mention: Christian McCaffrey, Josh Jacobs, Rachaad White, Jahmyr Gibbs, James Cook

NFL DFS Wide Receivers

Like the positions above, you don’t need me to write-up every single stud on the slate. Guys like Justin Jefferson, Ja’Maar Chase, Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams, Stefon Diggs, and AJ Brown are ALWAYS in play. I’ll likely highlight one or two of them each week, but I’d rather spend time helping you find ways to build a quality lineup instead of telling the obvious studs are probably a good play. This week, I love the top of this receiver board but there is plenty of value to make it all work.

  • Ja’Maar Chase ($7,600 DK / $7,900 FD) – I’ve seen enough from Browning to trust his ability to feed Ja’Maar Chase the football and Chase will be the lead dog for my wide receiver column this week as we continue to pick on this exterior coverage for the Indianapolis Colts. Chase is going to be in that 5-8% ownership range and provides us an extremely high floor/ceiling combination that we’re looking for in GPP tournaments.
  • Davante Adams ($7,500 DK / $7,400 FD) – Extremely sexy price on FanDuel but also in-play on DraftKings. Like Chase, the backup quarterback situation will distract the field from the positive matchup the opposition brings to the table. If this game has any pace, Davante Adams could be the WR1 on this slate. NFL DFS GPP lineups only.
  • Michael Pittman Jr. ($7,300 DK / $8,000 FD) – The ceiling is nowhere near the two above, but the floor is. Michael Pittman Jr. is having a monster season in terms of volume and is an excellent choice for a cash-game lineup. The only issue here is you’re likely starting your build with Zack Moss in cash games and we do not want to get a ton of exposure to the Colts’ offense in a cash game setting.
  • Brandon Aiyuk ($6,900 DK / $7,700 FD) – GPP only, but a nice price for a home-run hitter on the highest implied team total this week. I’m fine if you want to continue to ride the hot-hand of Deebo Samuel, but the AETY Model thinks this is a statement game for Mr. Aiyuk on the outside.
  • Gabe Davis ($5,800 DK / $6,800 FD) – If you cannot afford Stefon Diggs, the AETY Model loves this low-ownership spot for Cover-2 killer, Gabe Davis. The Chiefs’ pass-defense plays a ton of Cover-2 (second highest rate behind Atlanta) and we all know the Gabe Davis breakout game in the playoffs a few years ago. GPP Only.
  • Rashee Rice ($5,400 DK / $6,300 FD) – Rashee Rice is clearly Mahomes’ top-option in the passing game and continues to grow his snap share and target share on a weekly basis. The usage is too high for the price in one of the sexiest games on the slate. Rice is going to be popular and makes a ton of sense in cash if you’re not playing Pacheco. In tournaments, you can definitely use him as salary relief or as a part of a game-stack.
  • Jerry Jeudy ($4,700 DK / $5,800 FD) – 1-5% owned type of pivot play if all of the mid-tier ownership goes towards London/Moore/Smith-Njigba. I love this matchup on the inside against nickel-corner, Essang Bassey. If the Chargers’ offense can get back on track, this should push Russ and the Broncos into a pass-happy gamescript and a breakout game for Jerry Jeudy.
  • Drake London ($4,600 DK / $6,400 FD) – On DraftKings specifically, this is an excellent spot to continue to attack with Jamel Dean likely out again this week. We put the hammer kid bet on Jonathan Mingo last week in this exact same matchup. London is too cheap and viable for all lineups this weekend.
  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba ($4,100 DK / $5,500 FD) – Punt-play for a negative gamescript against the red-hot 49ers’ offense. The inside is where I prefer to attack the 49ers but it is not a spot I love by any means. This is purely a price play for the AETY Model’s top value at the wide receiver position.

Honorable Mention: Stefon Diggs, Keenan Allen, Amon-Ra St. Brown, DJ Moore, Courtland Sutton, Josh Downs, Jameson Williams

Tight-Ends

  • TJ Hockenson ($6,000 DK / $7,400 FD) – I love this spot for Hockenson now that Justin Jefferson is going to suit-up. The whole field is looking to pay-down at tight-end and we can get a lot of leverage on them by simply paying up at the tight-end position. This is an excellent matchup for Hockenson and the great rapport with a QB who loves throwing to the tight-end.
  • David Njoku ($4,100 DK / $5,500 FD) – Too cheap for a receiving core that will be without Amari Cooper. If you aren’t paying up, but do not want to purely punt the position, Njoku is your guy in any format.
  • Kyle Pitts ($3,700 DK / $5,300 FD) – I know it’s gross, but this is a great price for a big-bodied slot receiver in a plus-matchup. This is a game the Falcons need to win and they will not hold back the usage for Kyle Pitts. The issue here is Arthur Smith and Desmond Ridder… but that is priced into the situation.
  • Isaiah Likely ($3,500 DK / $5,200 FD) – Keep an eye on the weather here, but Likely is going to lead the charge in tight-end ownership and is a perfect free-square for your cash game lineups (on DraftKings). On FanDuel, I prefer Njoku for just $300 more.

Honorable Mention: Travis Kelce, George Kittle, Dalton Kincaid, Gerald Everett, Michael Mayer

The Fab Five (DK Cash Games)

  • Zack Moss
  • Clyde Edwards-Helaire
  • Drake London
  • Rashee Rice
