DFS Strategy

On the 4/11 Esports DFS Slate, I am going to focus on my favorite LOL stacks for DraftKings and Fanduel. My LOL targets can be used in both cash games and GPP’s. When playing LOL, I recommend playing Tournaments.

#1 TARGET: FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) (-335).

FPX is coming off a devastating loss, and you better believe they are going to come in hot. EDG is a mediocre team that does not perform well against aggressive teams like FPX. I think FPX comes in here and wins in dominating fashion. I’m predicting a sweep.

2 TARGET: Gen. G (GEN) (-850):

Next, I’m going to target GEN. They are by far the number one team in the LCK. In my opinion, there is not a team that can come close to them. This is another game I’m predicting to only go two games. GEN has the ability to not only beat their opponents but to completely obliterate them. HLE is an awful team, and I think GEN is going to have their way with them and produce fantasy points close to one hundred at their MID and ADC positions.

3 TARGET: Suning (SN) (-220):

Next in line, I’m targeting SN. They are a team that plays every team tough. Any matchup they have been in this year where they have won, they produced high fantasy points. SN has beaten the bottom tier teams and pushed better teams to a third game. DMO is bad. This matchup could be pushed to a third game, but I do not see DMO coming out victorious. I’m going to have about fifty percent SN in my stacks tonight.

SLATE SUMMARY:

On the 4/11 five-game ESPORTS DFS slate, I’m going to be playing five lineups. Two FPX stacks, Two GEN stacks, Two SN stacks, and going to fill in with IG and BLG. I will have an even 50/50 split of IG and BLG. I will be using DRX in one lineup and in others as my one-off filler options at TOP, SUP, and Team option. On the 4/11 Esports DFS Slate I am going to focus on my favorite LOL stacks for DraftKings only.  This is now the LEC and LCS playoffs. Instead of these games being a best of one, they are now a best of five series. In each DFS lineup, you create, you are going to have to get different. If you chose to go the traditional stack, you would likely be tied with a hundred different players. Coming into this, I am still going to focus on fitting in an ADC or a MID in my captain spot. It is also ok to completely stack one of these games, just to have a unique lineup. I am targeting GPP’s ONLY.

Fnatic (FNC)(-475) vs. Mad Lions (MAD) +300):

This game is my favorite of the two LOL games. Fnatic (FNC) is coming into this game as the favorite. FNC blew the doors off of their opponent (Origen) last weekend with a three to one series win. The one game that they did lose, in my opinion, was a fluke. FNC is a kill producing powerhouse in the LEC. Today they have a tough matchup versus the up and coming Mad Lions (MAD), a team that has been known to be underestimated and overlooked. For Fnatic’s sake, I hope they don’t perform as they did in the first of their two regular-season matchups against MAD. This is going to be a high scoring, high producing, high kill rate series. When this battle is completely over, the winning team is going to be able to breathe finally. This is a series that can go either way, but what I do know is that I am going to want maximum exposure to the team that comes out victorious. This is a matchup that I am unable to feel confident about picking the winning team, and I will have lineups with both of the contending teams. My slight lean is on Fnatic, but I would not be surprised if the Mad Lions came out on top.

MY PICK: Fnatic (FNC).

Cloud9 (C9) (-1600) vs. Evil Geniuses (+650) (EG):

This is game number two of the ESPORTS DFS slate. There is not much to say here, but Cloud9 (C9) should come into this game and steamroll Evil Geniuses (EG). C9 is by far the best team in the league. I LOVE C9 today, and they will be my primary stack. I see no outcome of EG coming out on top. C9 is going to run through this series and never look back. I do not see this getting to a fourth game, let alone going to the fifth game. C9 should sweep EG. There will be no sign of any EG players in any of my lineups.

FAVORITE CAPTAINS:

My favorite captains on this two-game LOL DFS slate are Nisqy and Zven from Cloud9. Nemesis and Rekkles from Fnatic. Humanoid and Carzzy from Mad Lions. My highest exposure captains will be Nisqy, Zven, and Carzzy.

SLATE SUMMARY:

In most of my builds, I will have players from Fnatic, Cloud9, and Mad Lions. My “main” stack is Cloud9; they will be in every lineup that I build one way or the other. In all of my lineups, I am going to have an even split of FNC and MAD. I have no problem at all with a lineup that has a full game one stack (Fnatic and Mad Lions) in order to get different. In most of my lineups will have either an ADC or a MID player in my captain spot. If I can not fit the MID or ADC, I will use the SUP position or will mix in a third team to use at the SUP position and Team option (three-two-two or four-two-one stack).

On the 4/10 Esports DFS Slate, I am going to focus on my favorite LOL stacks for DraftKings and Fanduel. My LOL targets can be used in both cash games and GPP’s. When playing LOL, I recommend playing Tournaments.

#1 TARGET: eStar (ES) (-215).

ES is facing off against a high producing LPL team (WE Gaming). They are the favorite in this matchup (-215). ES is coming into this game riding a three-game losing streak, after dismantling the LPL in five consecutive games before that. I believe ES might go overlooked, and this could be the prime spot to target them. They are going to be battling it out in the matchup with the highest projected kills(28). The next closest kill projection matchup on this ESPORTS DFS slate is a massive four kills behind (24). Not only am I a fan of eStar, but I am also going to have exposure to their opponent (WE Gaming). I want every bit of exposure to this game that I can fit.

#2 TARGET: Royal Never Give Up (RNG) (-1000).

Royal Never Give Up (RNG) is the biggest favorite on this ESPORTS DFS slate (-1000). RNG is coming into this game off of back to back losses. Before they lost to the number one team in the LPL (Invictus Gaming), they were putting together a great run of four wins in a row, with three out of the four matchups sweeping their opponents with different players producing over one hundred fantasy points in separate games. This team is going to bounce back with a vengeance, and I feel bad that Rogue Warriors (RW) are going to be on the receiving end of the beatdown.

3 TARGET: LGD Gaming (+160).

This matchup is definitely NOT the most exciting of the night. When I first looked at the matchups for today’s ESPORTS DFS slate, I immediately jumped on the Oh My God (OMG) side. After looking into the matchup more in detail, I started to notice that this battle wasn’t going to be as clear cut as I thought. OMG might have a better record and be the favorite here, but I believe its LGD with the edge. OMG has not beaten any meaningful team this year. In the games where they were supposed to be battling it out versus a top team, they were obliterated and swept two to zero. On the other side, LGD is coming in on a two-game heater, besting two very high fantasy producing and tougher opponents (RNG and WE). I can easily see LGD coming in here and shutting down OMG in a two to zero sweep.

SLATE SUMMARY:

On the 4/10 five-game ESPORTS DFS slate, I will be going heavy on ES, RNG, and WE. I will have an even 50/50 split of ES and WE. I will have ONE lineup with a game stack of ES and WE. I will have a 50 percent share of RNG. The RNG stacks will be an identical build with both ES and WE in separate lineups. My LGD stacks will be spread throughout 25 percent of my builds. I will use APK as a filler for my one-off lineups at the SUP or Team position. I am going to be focused on four-two-one and four-three stacks in my eight lineups. League of Legends LPL/LCK ONLY TODAY.

League of Legends Side Note – ADC/MID at Captain are usually the big winners. Focus on J A M , which is ADC, JNG, or MID at Captain. Don’t put SUP or TOP in your Captain spot. I can see the need to do SUP or TOP as Captain, but it isn’t ideal and doesn’t win the big money as often.

4.8 DFS League of Legends – Teams I am FULLY FADING in MME and Main Builds.

• LNG – SO BAD, especially lately. They play a solid team tonight and are on a killer losing streak.
• LGD – One of the worst teams in the league, but they did recently beat WE and they aren’t a bad squad. I’m just favoring RNG as I see them as a top squad in the LPL. As of now, ZERO LGD lines
• AF – 6 game losing streak. NO THANKS!
• GRF – One of the worst teams in the LCK , but have had 2 super impressive wins in a row. They have a somewhat volatile lineup so I can see them going to subs if they lose a match. I’ll pass.
• SB – The worst team in the LCK. PASS!

I’m focusing on a few teams for my main league of legends lines today. With all the upsets going on the past few days, it’s tough not to put some under owned or non favorites in your stacks. That being said, I’m doing TEN main lines all in a 300 person GPP. Hoping for a takedown and no more top 5 finishes! 1ST PLACE or BUST!!

EDG/RNG – I pair these two together because I am going to have the most shares of these two teams. In order to get some stacks with them together, I need to have a Support or Top captain and I’m going to do it to be different. It isn’t the optimal play, but I’m taking a shot tonight. EVERYONE from both teams is in play today! I’m running SUP and TOP guys are captain to fill up stacks with the favorites. Tonight is the night of NO UPSETS…. maybe?

JDG/IG – Before you think I’m crazy, please hear me out. Using this line once again. JDG is on fire and competing to show the world they are a top team in the LPL. Coming off an impressive win against ES, they face off against the 2nd best team in the LPL, IG. JDG is priced so low that I can fit them in stacks with both EDG and RNG with no problem. The main problem with IG is they are priced up, but not terribly. I have them in a few EDG and RNG lines as well. Like EDG/RNG, all players from both teams in play

T1 – LCK in general does not put up a ton of points on a nightly basis, but HOLY GEN LAST NIGHT. They went off so I’m thinking tonight is T1’s turn to do some damage. They have such a sexy matchup and I love stack Canna, Faker, and Teddy together with Teddy in a few at Captain. T1 doesn’t put up a ton of points, but I sense something brewing tonight. Lock them in.

League of Legends LPL ONLY TODAY.

4.6 DFS League of Legends – Teams I am FULLY FADING in MME and Main Builds.

• LNG – SO BAD, especially lately. They play the best team in FPX. I’ll pass.
• DMO – I’m using them in 1-2 lineups. Just saying that now, but not my favorite. They are a terrible team, but BLG is nothing to sing praise about. BLG almost takes every game to a third game and they choke on that game. With all the recent upsets, I wouldn’t be surprised if DMO wins.

I’m focusing on a ton of teams for my main league of legends lines today. With all the upsets going on the past few days, it’s tough not to put some under owned or non favorites in your stacks. That being said, I’m doing TEN main lines all in a 200 person GPP. Hoping for a takedown and no more top 5 finishes! 1ST PLACE or BUST!!

Last night, we had a Support Captain with the big takedown. That’s only the second time in 26 days and first time for a 3 game slate. Anything can happen in a 3 game slate, but Support at Captain is NOT recommended. Since it is a 3 game slate, I’ll have 1 or 2 lines with support at captain.

FPX – All 5 players are in play as they face off against LNG. LNG looks almost as bad as V5 in their past 5 games in getting swept on almost a nightly basis. A once promising team with my boy, Maple, and now they are in free fall. Load up on FPX. LWX, Khan, Crisp are all in play at Captain. Tian could work also!

JDG/ES – Before you think I’m crazy, please hear me out. VG and RNG recently beat ES and they don’t look as dominate as they once were. JDG is probably my second favorite stack because they fit perfect with FPX so I’m going to ride them in 3-5 lineups. Call me crazy, but ES looks bad lately. This is a game I probably hedge and go 50/50 between JDG and ES.

BLG – Do not ask me why, but I am a big fan of BLG in general. They are a pretty solid squad, but they just choke it in the 3rd match. They constantly win the first match then just blow it the last 2 matches. Look at the stats. They almost ALWAYS go 3 games. I’m a fan of them today going against a weak DMO squad so load them up with FPX, JDG, and ES in at least ONE lineup together!

League of Legends Teams I am FULLY FADING in MME and Main Builds.

• V5 – SO BAD and have ZERO wins.
• RW – One of the worst teams also. I currently have ZERO out of 10, but there’s a chance I might do ONE given all the recent upsets.

That being said, I’m doing TEN main lines all in a 200 person GPP. Hoping for a takedown and no more top 5 finishes! 1ST PLACE or BUST!!

Suning – All 5 players are in play as they face off against V5. We hope that it doesn’t end too quick as it has been happening for V5. Some can even say with all the upsets that V5 may win, but I choose to not go the V5 route. I’m trying to stack SN with TES, VG, and OMG. In regards to SN stacks, I’m trying to do a majority of 4 person stacks with ADC and MID at the Captain spot. I have one lineup with SwordArt at Captain to fit a full TES/SN Stack. It’s the only way. Keep in mind that bin is starting in the top lane today.

TES – Similar to Suning, these guys are heavy favorites versus a bad Rogue Warriors team. My plan is to focus on the ADC/MID for TES and stack with OMG and VG. I have two lines with 369 AND QiuQiu at Captain to fit the VG stacks. All the players are in play tonight and I lean the 4 player stacks with TES as well.

OMG / VG – Here’s the tough match of the night. If you’re going OMG, you can use Knight, Photic, huangfeng, or Angel at Captain with a full 3-3 stack. If OMG wins, I feel a lot of people are winning the big prize tonight. Unfortunately, a 4-2 stack doesn’t fit until you go 4 OMG guys and I DO NOT recommend that. OMG is a team who does not score a lot of points so it’s risky to have any of them in the Captain spot. The main way to be different is to put the TOP or SUP guys in your captain spot with OMG stacked up, but I don’t recommend it. In regards to VG stacked with ES or RW, you need to have a TOP or SUP guy at Captain no matter what. The guys I recommend at Captain tonight at TOP and SUP are 369, Cube, SwordArt, Hang, and QiuQiu to go with the stack of VG/SN or VG/TES.

If you’re betting tonight on the matches, I say go SN (-1.5), TES (-1.5), and VG money line.

Cloud9 (C9) vs. 100 Thieves (LCS):

This game is my favorite of the two LOL games.  Cloud9 (C9) is coming into this game as the favorite. In my opinion, they are not favored enough. 100 Thieves do not stand a chance versus the aggressive nature of C9.  This game could easily be over right from the start. C9 is the overall better team, whether it be producing kills, capturing dragons, or even just scaling the map. This is where my favorite stack of this two-game ESPORTS DFS slate lies. I have no problem getting to every team member of C9. I will be using up to four players from Cloud9 in every ESPORTS DFS lineup I create.

Rouge vs. Misfits Gaming (LCS):

This is game number two of the ESPORTS DFS slate. These two teams are a little closer than the previous two. My primary focus is this matchup is going to be the underdog (Rouge).  I love the idea of being able to fit a stack of C9 and Rouge (RGE)  into one DFS lineup, that is not going to be difficult.  This game is going to be a little less fantasy-friendly. Both of these teams like to play the wait and strike approach, waiting until the last possible second to make their move. The more aggressive side is Rouge. I will be focusing on trying to mix and match the pieces of this game as filler to my ESPORTS DFS lineup that is crammed with Cloud 9 players.  I will most likely have little to no exposure to Misfits Gaming (MSF). I do not believe that they make it past game four. MSF is an average team on a losing streak, and I believe that streak continues here.

In most of my builds, I will have players from Cloud 9 and Rouge. I have no problem at all with a lineup that has a full game one stack (Cloud 9 and 100 Thieves) in order to get different. All of my lineups will have either an ADC or a MID player in my captain spot. My favorite captains of this two-game LOL DFS slate are Nisqy and Zven; both are on Cloud9.

SLATE SUMMARY:

On the 4/5 ESPORTS DFS two-game slate, I will be going heavy on C9 and RGE. I am going to be focused on different player combinations with four-three stacks in my four lineups. Good luck tonight, and don’t forget to come back and WIN DAILY.

Below you can find my 4/4 ESPORTS DFS LOL targets can be used in both cash games and GPP’s. When playing LOL, I recommend playing Tournaments. I am playing DraftKings ONLY. 

#1 TARGET: JD GAMING (JDG).

JDG is facing off against a terrible LPL team (LNG). They are a heavy favorite (-313) in this fantastic spot, in a matchup with the second-highest combined projected kills (24.5) on tonight’s ESPORTS DFS slate, only behind, in my opinion, the most exciting game of the night between RNG and IG, but we will get there. JDG came out in their last game and ended their brutal three-game losing streak with a convincing two to one victory over Suning (SN). This is going to be my favorite team stack of the night. I will have many players from JDG in about 70 percent of my lineups. I recommend stacking four players from JDG, in either a four-three stack or a four-two-one stack. They are going to obliterate LNG tonight. I wouldn’t want to be the person who didn’t have them in my lineup.

#2 TARGET: APK PRINCE (APK).

I usually am not a fan of targeting LCK teams on an ESPORTS DFS slate that also has a few higher scoring LPL teams on it. This is a spot I couldn’t ignore. APK is coming in on fire, on a three-game winning streak. They are not only beating their opponents, but they are absolutely lighting them up and looking good while they do it. They have had some of the highest fantasy point scorers in the LCK. Every player on their starting roster has produced over 80 fantasy points in two out of their last three games, except for one player (Secret), even he has produced 65 fantasy points and above in all three of those games, playing the Support position. APK is in a matchup versus Griffin (GRF). GRF is on a nine-game losing streak and is going to get demolished by APK. APK is not even a heavy favorite (-162). This game to me has APK written all over it, and I am going to be all in on the APK Prince train tonight.

#3 TARGET: INVICTUS GAMING (IG) OR ROYAL NEVER GIVE UP (RNG).

This matchup is the most exciting of the night. It is a battle between the LPL’s number one team (IG) and the number four team (RNG). I think this is a game where the winning ESPORTS DFS lineup will be stacked with one of these two teams. If I had to choose a winner here, I would lean IG. This matchup is projected to have the most kills per game (29.5). Getting exposure to these players is a must. I am going to have multiple different lineups with a three or four-man stack from IG and a couple more lineups with a three or four-man stack from RNG. I DO NOT recommend fading this game for any reason, as this is going to be a fantasy-friendly matchup, with a ton of kills.

SLATE SUMMARY:

On the 4/4 ESPORTS DFS six-game slate, I will be going heavy on JDG and APK. I will be pairing those stacks with each other and with one of the other between IG or RNG and going to mix in a few stacks from BLG or HLE. I’ll be focusing on my core plays for the 4/3 DFS Tournament for DK LoL slate. This article is focused around DraftKings ONLY. This is what I plan to do with my 6 lineups today!

League of Legends LCK ONLY TODAY. SHOULD BE LOW SCORING

League of Legends Side Note – ADC/MID at Captain are usually the big winners. Focus on J A M , which is ADC, JNG, or MID at Captain. Don’t put SUP or TOP in your Captain spot. I can see the need to do SUP or TOP as Captain, but it isn’t ideal and doesn’t win the big money as often.

For a THREE game League of Legends slate, you can do JNG or TOP as CAP. I don’t recommend Support Captain because none of those guys have a high ceiling.

League of Legends Teams I am FULLY FADING in MME and Main Builds. Because we will not have starting lineups before lock, make sure

• APK – They have played better, but I like KT too much. For a 3 game slate, I don’t hate you going this route for ONE lineup. Again, I’m doing 6 lineups and I’ll have ONE APK line. That is all!
• DRX – They look bad as of late. They did have an impressive win versus KT recently, who was on a 7 game winning streak, but GEN is my favorite stack today.
• HLE – DO NOT FADE HLE. Just fade the MID AND ADC position unless we get CONFIRMED STARTING LINEUPS. They change starters and don’t announce before lock usually so it’s risky. DO NOT RISK it unless starters are announced before lock.
• SB – DO NOT FADE SB. Just fade the JNG position UNLESS starting lineups are posted before lock.

That being said, I’m doing SIX main lines all in a 200 person GPP. Hoping for a takedown and no more top 5 finishes! 1ST PLACE or BUST!!

GEN – Priced down and the second best team in the LCK. DRX has sort of been reeling, but did have a big win the other day against the streaking KT squad. GEN doesn’t really lose unless they face off against T1 so I’m banking on them to continue this streak. They are priced lower than KT and I’m going to ride them in 3-4 of my lines. Ruler and BDD will be my Captains.

KT – 7-1 in their last 8 matches playing against a mediocre to bottom ranked APK. The thing about APK is they have actually been playing well. KT has been playing like the 3rd best team in this league until their recent loss to DRX. I’ll have them in 2-3 lineups because of my fear of APK’s hot streak, but KT should steam roll. Aiming is my favorite choice at Captain.

SB/HLE – The battle of 2 bad teams playing for “honor” at this point. Again, I’m going re-emphasize what I said above with the below. These two teams are so volatile with their starting lineups that it worries me so avoid the positions I list below. I will have 2 lineups of each of these teams and I’ll have more if starting lineups are announced before lock. The winning league of legends lineup tonight will have one of these two tonight!

League of Legends DFS LoL

I’ll be focusing on my core plays for the 4/2 League of Legends LoL DFS Tournament for DK LoL slate. This article is focused around DraftKings ONLY. This is what I plan to do with my 7 lineups today!

League of Legends DFS Side Note – ADC/MID at Captain are usually the big winners. Focus on J A M , which is ADC, JNG, or MID at Captain. Don’t put SUP or TOP in your Captain spot. I can see the need to do SUP or TOP as Captain with IG or ES, but it isn’t ideal and doesn’t win the big money as often.

Teams I am FULLY FADING in MME and Main Builds in League of Legends DFS

• V5 – They are HORRIBLE. Don’t ever play.
• SB – One of the worst in the LCK and playing one of the best. NO THANKS!
• GRF – Similar to SB. One of the worst playing one of the best

I’m focusing on a ton of teams for my League of Legends DFS main lines today. With all the upsets going on the past few days, it’s tough not to put some under owned or non favorites in your stacks. That being said, I’m doing TEN main lines all in a 300 person GPP. Hoping for a takedown and no more top 5 finishes! 1ST PLACE or BUST!!

League of Legends LoL DFS

LoL DFS iG – I’ll have a ton of lines with iG hoping that V5 just feeds them kills during both matches. I’ll be targeting Puff at CAP along with some lines of Southwind or TheShy at CAP to get salary relief for full stacks. It isn’t ideal and I don’t recommend, but to get iG, we need to come up with some funny business. If V5 beats iG, I quit ESports. Plain and simple!

LoL DFS ES – Did ES break our hearts 2 nights ago or what? With the LPL up in a frenzy and having upsets on a nightly basis, I wouldn’t be surprised if RNG pulls upset here. I’ll have a good share of ES with ShaiuC to be “different” and fit a full stack. Similar to IG, ES is going to be tough to get a full stack in with. I feel like IG will be chalkier than ES because of the matchup, which gives you leverage with ES. I actually prefer ES tonight in tournaments over IG because IG is going to steamroll over V5 and this could cut into them hitting value tonight.

LoL DMO – Can DMO pull another upset? As the only team that fits a full stack with ES and IG, I’m rocking them in quite a few lineups. The only team I’m stacking them with is IG and ES in hopes that they could pull off the upset versus EDG. I’m locking in GALA and XIYE mixed with the other guys in quite a few lineups. If I had to pick one upset tonight, it’s these guys. They are on a winning streak too so ride the hot streak!

LoL EDG – Priced a little too high for my taste, but this is another team that is on fire. They face DMO and could easily win, but I’m riding DMO to stack IG and ES with them. EDG will be in 2 of my 10 stacks to hedge my heavy DMO ownership.

LoL DFS RNG – Enter RNG as a big underdog against ES. ES is going to come into this match pretty pissed off after losing to VG, but will they be able to beat an RNG team that is better than VG? RNG is a middle of the pack team that could beat ES if they are on their game. I’ll have about 2 lineups of RNG to hedge my ES builds.

LoL DFS GEN/T1 – These two teams are heavy favorites, but don’t score a ton of points no matter what. They are the 2 best teams in the LCK, but they aren’t usually too aggressive in the kills department and just wait it out till the end. I’ll have 1-2 lineups of each of these teams, but they should easily win and I fear that they won’t hit value because of it.

LoL DFS AF/DWG – Want to talk about a team that is falling apart? Well, let’s talk about AF. These guys were at the top of the standings for most of the season with T1, GEN, and DRX, but they’ve hit a cold streak now. They lost to APK last night and if they play like they did yesterday, they are in for a rude awakening against DWG. DWG and AF are tied for the last and final playoff spot and the season is about to come to an end. DWG has been rolling while AF has been reeling. I’ll have shares of both League of Legends teams as they are both pretty evenly priced for DFS, but proceed with caution on the cold AF team.
