Week 13 DFS RunningBack – Cash Game Plays

Christian McCaffrey, CAR vs. WAS

DK ($10,500)   FD ($11,000)

McCaffrey scored another 30+ DK points last week and while the price came up on FD to $11K, he’s still affordable on both sites. At some point, you’d think the heavy volume would diminish, but it doesn’t. He’s a fine play at home versus Washington in Week 13.

Saquon Barkley, NYG vs. GB

DK ($7,400)   FD ($7,600)

Barkley should be a featured weapon Sunday against the Packers (ina game that will be played in rainy weather) and should get a boatload ofcarriers and usage – the red zone included. Green Bay struggled to defend therun and while he’s far from the fantasy ceiling and floor of McCaffrey, he’s oneof the best cash game options we have, especially at the reduced price on FD.

Aaron Jones,GB at NYG

DK ($6,800)   FD ($8,000)

Jones makes sense as a bargain cash gameplay on DK and has an excellent matchup in what should be a positive game script against the Giants. The weather could force the Packers to run the ball a lot more. I wouldn’t play both Barkley and Jones together, but both should get plenty of opportunities to produce.

Also consider:Le’Veon Bell, Jonathan Williams

Week 13 DFS RunningBack – GPP Plays

Josh Jacobs, OAK at KC

DK ($6,900)   FD ($7,700)

The shoulder injury has kept him limited again this week, but he’sstill a GPP option facing the league’s worst defense against RBs. No need to overthinkthis – if he’s active and not seriously limited, he’s worth using in GPPs.

Derrick Henry, TEN at IND

DK ($7,600)   FD ($8,600)

We’ll keep an eye on news about Henry (hamstring) over theweekend, but the questionable tag shouldn’t diminish our enthusiasm for him inGPPs – especially because he doesn’t have much competition for carries in theTitans offense. He’s got 347 rushing yards and four TDs over his last twogames.

Miles Sanders, PHI at MIA

DK ($5,400) FD ($5,800)

Jordan Howard could be back this week, but Miles Sanders stillmakes sense in GPPs. His speed and usage in all aspects of the Eagles offensecould see him flourish against a poor Miami defense. I wouldn’t recommend him incash games unless Howard is inactive, but he’s going to make many of my GPPbuilds regardless.

Also consider: Todd Gurley,Phillip Lindsay, Joe Mixon, Ronald Jones

Week 13 DFS RunningBack – Contrarian GPP Plays

Leonard Fournette, JAC vs.TB

DK ($7,300)   FD($7,000)

It’s not a great matchup, but I’m also not convinced the Jags areready to get away from their current offensive style with Nick Foles undercenter. I expect them to try to grind out a win vs. the Bucs and do so with alot of shorter passes and plenty of involvement from Fournette.

Austin Ekeler, LAC at DEN

DK ($5,700)   FD ($6,700)

Melvin Gordon has typically struggled against the Broncos, so wecould see a few more touches and targets for Ekeler in Week 13. He’s a muchbetter play on DK with the full-point PPR, and the upside is still there becauseof his big-play capability.

Also consider: Nick Chubb, MarkIngram, Tevin Coleman

Week 13 DFS RunningBack – Value/Punt Plays

LeSean McCoy, KC vs. OAK

DK ($4,800)   FD ($5,800)

McCoy and Darrell Williams will shoulder the load for the Chiefswith Damien Williams looking unlikely to suit up this week. I like McCoy alittle better, but Darrel Dubs is seven cheaper at $4,400 on DK.

Derrius Guice, WAS at CAR

DK ($4,500)   FD($5,400)

Guice has a favorable matchup vs. the Panthers (ranked 30th againstRBs), and he should probably receive more touches than Adrian Peterson. Ownershipin GPPs should be down and we could see a breakthrough performance for theembattled young back this week.

Additional plays: Darrel Williams, Jalen Richard (if Jacobs is out or limited)

Monkey Knife Fight Pick of the Day

Goal: 56.5, Prize: 2x

Let’s go with both RBs and a WR for this matchup in the rain. Both Saquon Barkley and Aaron Jones should see increased volume and Davante Adams if healthy) can round out our choices.

Week 12 DFS Running Back – Cash Game Plays

ChristianMcCaffrey, CAR at NO

DK ($10,500)   FD ($10,500)

With at least 23 DK points in four straight games and averaging a massive 32.4 DK PPG, CMC is again top dog in all formats. I’m not going to bore you anymore with his resume at this point, and while the matchup is difficult compared to others he’s faced, it doesn’t freak me out enough to avoid him. Just lock the guy in and move on.

Nick Chubb, CLE vs. MIA

DK ($8,100)   FD ($8,200)

If you can’t fit in McCaffrey in your cash lineups, thenshame on you. No, really, Chubb has some competition for touches now, but he’sanother back facing a poor opponent who could clean up this week and make his fantasyowners very happy. He’s hasn’t scored since Week 6, so he’s due.

Week 12 DFS Running Back – GPP Plays

Alvin Kamara, NO vs. CAR

DK ($8,200)   FD ($8,300)

We nailed Kamara last week, and he was under 10 percent owned in large-field GPPs (9.58% in the DK Millionaire Maker). I’m smitten with how Kamara fits into the Saints offense and can break off enormous plays as opponents get distracted by the plodding style of Latavius Murray, the pass-catching ability of Michael Thomas and the multiple speed options (Ted Ginn, Taysom Hill) who complement Kamara’s soaring talent. He’s probably cash viable but is best deployed in GPPs.

Josh Jacobs, OAK at NYJ

DK ($7,400)   FD ($8,000)

Jacobs is again nursing the same shoulder injury, but he’sa GPP darling this season, getting lots of work in all aspects of the Raiders’offense. Last week an underwhelming fantasy total, but he’s a better bet toreach paydirt in Week 12 and score 15-25 DK points.

Derrick Henry, TEN vs. JAC

DK ($6,900)   FD ($8,400)

The Titans would like to win this division rivalry without throwing the ball a lot, as they grabbed a win over the Chiefs last week with Ryan Tannehill attempting fewer than 20 passes. Henry has a massive upside in this matchup and is one of the strongest runners in the game.

Leonard Fournette, JAC at TEN

DK ($7,300)   FD ($7,000)

The other side of the Titans-Jags game features Fournette, who last week was a bit of a disappointment. For Week 12, Fournette’s price is down on both sites and he’s almost a bargain on FD. He’s not a high-profile name and he could go under-owned in GPPs after drawing just 4-5 percent ownership last week.

Joe Mixon, CIN vs. PIT

DK ($5,900)   FD ($6,700)

The Bengals are bad, but Mixon has 200 rushing yards and 45 carries over his last two games. He’s the focal point of this offense and the Steelers are a team in turmoil, so I’ll be locking this bell-cow into about 20-25 percent of my GPPs and hopefully staying ahead of the field.

Also consider: Le’Veon Bell, Jaylen Samuels, James White, David Montgomery

Week 12 DFS Running Back – Contrarian GPP Plays

Ezekiel Elliot, DAL at NE

DK ($7,500)   FD ($8,100)

This could get interesting. Ezekiel’s ownership was at 14.06% in the Millionaire Maker last week, and he reached 20 DK points, but this week against a much tougher opponent (the Patriots allow the fewest points to fantasy RBs), that ownership level should plummet, even though he still has plenty of upsides and the price has come way down. He could be a sneaky play in GPPs.

Devin Singletary, BUF vs. DEN

DK ($5,400)   FD ($6,300)

The Bills’continued reliance on Frank Gore (11 rushing attempts last game) keepsSingletary from getting the 20 attempts he’ll likely need to break through intoGPP stardom, but the Broncos are average against the run and Singletary is atalented back with upside – and probably some relatively low ownership this week.

Also consider: Saquon Barkley, Chris Carson, Phillip Lindsay

Week 12 DFS Running Back – Value/Punt Plays

Miles Sanders, PHI vs. SEA

DK ($5,000) FD ($5,600)

Sanders is a talented back and Jordan Howard hasn’t yet beencleared for contact. With the rookie getting the bulk of work out of the Phillybackfield and having such enormous upside based on his speed and shiftiness, I’lltake the chance against the Seahawks in some GPPs.

Sony Michel, NE vs. DAL

DK ($4,900)   FD ($6,300)

Michel is still just too cheap on DK and had 10 carries and four targets last week. I expect the Patriots to use him a little more this week against the Cowboys – who are more susceptible to straight-line power runners – making him a fine value play in Week 12.

Tarik Cohen, CHI vs. NYG

DK ($4,800)   FD ($5,700)

Cohen saw an uptick in usage last week and could get more workin Week 12. He’s scored receiving TDs in two straight and could make it a thirdagainst this dubious Giants defensive unit.

Derrius Guice, WAS vs. DET

DK ($4,700)   FD ($5,400)

Guice has an excellent matchup and big-play upside, so he’son my list for Week 12 GPP value plays. This team is still committed to giving AdrianPeterson touches, but Guice is cheaper and probably the better back.

Kalen Ballage, MIA at CLE

DK ($4,400) FD ($5,500)

Ballage remains cheap, but his upside is limited, especially against an improving Browns defensive unit. But with Mark Waltondone with football for the foreseeable future, the volume could mean viability onDK.

Additional plays: Ronald Jones, J.D. McKissic, Latavius Murray

Monkey Knife Fight Picks of the Week

Goal: 78.5, Prize: 3x

Christian McCaffrey, Michael Thomas, and Alvin Kamara are my picks (two RBs and a WR) for notching the most fantasy points in this Week 12 matchup. Let’s go big for 3x since they all catch passes, they can all score multiple TDs and go over 150 total yards and offer monster upside.

Week 12 in the NFL is about finding the best opportunities for guaranteed production with a high upside. Follow my stud and value GPP plays and lock in the NFL DFS Picks of Destiny.

David Jones won 100K on FanDuel! Read about it here!

David also won back-to-back GPPs!

There will be updates closer to lock. Check back Sunday morning.

Quarterbacks:

Stud Quarterback: Russell Wilson ($8,200 FD)

I feel safe with Russell Wilson this week. He is the only viable dual-threat quarterback with a positive matchup this Sunday. Wilson is one of the frontrunners for MVP and he will have another chance to impress against one of the worst pass defenses in the league. He, of course, can also scramble and keep the offense alive by running downfield and hopefully getting into the end zone. I think he is being overlooked. I will take him as my top spend up in NFL DFS this week.

Stud Pivot: Matt Ryan – He should have to throw it a lot here. It is difficult to run on the Tampa defensive front and the Falcons are down to their third string RB.

Stud Pivot 2: Drew Brees

Mid QB: Carson Wentz ($7,300 FD)

Another guy that is going under the radar in a potential shootout. We love his tight ends this week and he should finally have a healthy core of wide receivers. Miles Sanders is getting worked into the offense more and he too can catch passes. He is a very sneaky Mid-tier NFL DFS quarterback.

Mid QB pivots in Order: Baker Mayfield, Derek Carr, Sam Darnold, Ryan Tannehill (if you play any of these mid-tier guys you need to pair him with a WR or TE on the same team)

Running Backs

Stud Running Back: Christian McCaffrey ($10,500 FD)

I am not worried about any matchup for CMC. He is a better play on DK because of the PPR structure but if you can fit him on FanDuel you won’t regret it.

Stud RB: Alvin Kamara ($8,300 FD)

He gets one of my favorite rush defenses to pick on in the Carolina Panthers. They have given up five more rushing touchdowns than any other team in the league. My concerns are he is very chalky and “splitting” carries with Lat Murray which scares me. However, Kamara is far superior in the passing game which makes him more elite on DraftKings. I will have my fair share of Karma on both sites but not be going over 50% on him. I will also have some pivot teams with Latavius Murray in large GPP contests.

Stud Pivots in Order: Derrick Henry, Nick Chubb, Leonard Fournette, Saquon Barkley

Mid RB: Jaylen Samuels ($6,900 FD)

If JuJu and Johnson are out Samuels will not only be the probable starter at RB, he will also be treated as a WR2. He goes against the Bengals who have given up the second-most touchdowns to the running backs this season. With the Steelers so thin on offense Samuels should see plenty of opportunity on Sunday to exceed his NFL DFS salary. I like him better on DraftKings because of his pass-catching ability.

Pivots: Bo Scarbrough (next best option in the tier, not loving it though)

Value RB: Latavius Murray, Kareem Hunt, Derrius Guice

Note: Nick Chubb has a great matchup against the Dolphins, he can certainly have a breakout game, but so can OBJ, or Landry, or Hunt. Trying to pin down which Brown to go with is difficult if not impossible. It seems safe to say you want a least one of these guys in your lineup Sunday. I am going to have some Chubb lines and a few Kareem Hunt at his cheap price and wait for a garbage-time touchdown. Hunt will be in a few of my milli maker lines, not my main/cash or single entries.

I will update again closer to Sunday. Be sure to check back.

Wide Receiver

Stud WR: Mike Evans ($8,000 FD)

I am taking a stand on Mike Evans this week. He is my favorite high priced receiver with price and ownership factored in. He goes against the Falcons, who everyone suddenly wants to quit targeting. I know they have looked good the past two weeks but I think there are other reasons besides they have just suddenly become elite. The Saints overlooked them after a bye and we all saw Kyle Allen crumble against them last week. Was that poor QB play or good defense? Mike Evan has traditionally gone off against the Falcons and I know he is getting double-digit targets here. I am going with him at what I expect to be low NFL DFS ownership.

Stud Pivots: Julio Jones, Michael Thomas (both great options), Julian Edelman (DraftKings)

Mid WR: DK Metcalf ($6,700 FD)

Tyler Lockett will probably play, but he isn’t going to be 100%. The Seahawks are going to need to lean on their next best receiver against a poor Earles defense. Metcalf is the 7th highest targeted wideout in the red zone this season. He will be on my main NFL DFS lineup and I am going to do my best to pair him up with Russell Wilson.

Mid WR Pivots: OBJ, Calvin Ridley, Jamison Crowder

Value WR: Terry McLaurin, Russell Gage, James Washington (if JuJu and Johnson out), Josh Gordon (if Lockett isn’t 100%)

Tight End

Ryan Griffin ($5,600 FD)

I have been on him for weeks and everyone is finally catching up. Griffin is in another smash spot this week against the 30th ranked Oakland Raiders. He has four touchdowns in five weeks. He is still cheap enough to let you fit your stud backs and receivers.

Tight End Pivots: Zach Ertz, Jacob Hollister, Dallas Goedert, Ben Watson

Defense

  1. Steelers
  2. Saints
  3. Bills
  4. Punt: Redskins

Week 11 DFS Running Back – Cash Game Plays

ChristianMcCaffrey, CAR at GB

DK ($10,500)  FD ($10,500)

Cash or GPP, CMC is King, and the price remains unchanged from last week. He gets days off during the week for maintenance, but by Thursday he’s practicing fully so he can smash on Sunday. I don’t need to justify this anymore, do I? He’s the safest play and has the most upside, so use the guy – just find a way to get him in your lineups.

Dalvin Cook, MIN vs. DEN

DK ($8,900)   FD ($8,600)

Cook gets over 20 carries per game and is just a notch below McCaffrey in terms of floor and upside – but still worth of clicking into your cash game lineups and GPPs. Find your value plays at WR, TE and flex this week and just lock both guys in. The Denver defense doesn’t play nearly as well on the road and they’ve been surprisingly mediocre against the run this season – so stopping Cook will be a challenge.

Week 11 DFS Running Back – GPP Plays

Ezekiel Elliot, DAL at DET

DK ($8,900)   FD($8,400)

It’s s great matchup and the Cowboys clearly want to run theball more – so this could easily end up being Zeke’s best game of 2019 so far.He has 35-40 point upside on DK and the Lions defense gives up the most fantasypoints in the league to opposing RBs.

Alvin Kamara, NO at TB

DK ($7,400)   FD ($7,800)

Since Kamara isn’t a prototypical rusher, I’m totally coolwith rolling him out against the league’s toughest run defense, especiallysince it’s also the league’s worst pass defense! Kamara had a rough go of itlast time around and that should keep the masses from clicking his name inGPPs. I’m going right back to the well – because he’ll be instrumental in the Saintsshredding of the Bucs, and that price has come down to a very reasonable place.

Josh Jacobs, OAK vs. CIN

DK ($6,900)   FD ($8,000)

Jacobs has been playing through a shoulder injury and it’s worth monitoring his status on Sunday, but the guy is a workhorse for Oakland and a huge part of their success this season. His combined targets and carries each game have fallen below 19 only once since Week 4, and the Q tag could keep folks off him in GPPs – even against a pitiful Bengals defense. Win Daily Sports expert David Jones noted in his GPP Picks of Destiny that Jacobs he has gone over 100 yards in three of his last five games with five touchdowns in that span, and I firmly agree with his assessment of Jacobs as a mid-range GPP option.

Mark Ingram, BAL vs. HOU

DK ($6,600)   FD ($7,500)

The Ravens can beat you many ways, but Ingram still makessense as a high-upside GPP play with some amount of risk – but not enough to keepyou from cashing if he has a ho-hum game. He’s not my favorite RB option thisweek and the number of touches he gets per game is a little low for my liking, buthe’s someone to consider as a pivot if Jacobs’ shoulder keeps him from playing.

Devin Singletary, BUF at MIA

DK ($6,000)   FD ($6,500)

The rookie RB was a disappointment last week but has a favorablematchup in Week 11. He’s one of the best GPP plays on the slate given hisupside, talent and the recency bias of the letdown to DFS owners in Week 10.

Also consider: Le’Veon Bell (illness), Phillip Lindsay

Week 11 DFS Running Back – Contrarian GPP Plays

Leomard Fournette, JAC at IND

DK ($7,900)   FD ($7,200)

Priceand matchup will keep Fournette from being heavily owned this week, but he’s ina sneaky spot if the Jags decide to limit the number of throws that Nick Foles makesin his first game back. It’s not a heavy exposure opportunity, but mixingFournette into a few low-stakes, large-field multi-entry GPPs shouldn’t be abad decision.

Tevin Coleman, SF vs. ARI

DK ($6,100)   FD ($6,700)

Coleman ducked out of practice due to a personal matter on Thursday, so he may not make the initial builds of the GPP masses heading into the weekend. It’s hard to speculate at this point if he’ll be available or if his head will be in the game, but there’s no injury to speak of and both Matt Breida (ankle, doubtful) and Raheem Mostert (knee) are dealing with some issues. Stay tuned and don’t rule him out of DFS viability in this favorable matchup just yet.

Also consider: Marlon Mack, Joe Mixon

Week 11 DFS Running Back – Value/Punt Plays

Sony Michel, NE at PHI

DK ($4,900)   FD ($6,300)

Michel is just too cheap on DK and despite coming off hisseason-low of four carries in Week 9, I expect the Patriots to go back to whatworks following their bye week – which means 15-20 carries for Michel and multi-TDupside. He’s a fine play in Week 11.

Brian Hill, ATL at CAR

DK ($4,800)   FD ($5,900)

Hill is the only show in town for Atlanta in Week 11 and the matchup is a decent one on paper. I worry about a letdown after his big week, as the Falcons could easily fall behind and abandon the running game, peppering both Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley with targets, but the absence of Austin Hooper has to help Hill’s usage as a receiving option on dump-offs. Tenacious D even says in his GPP column that “Hill is going to step in for the injured Devonte Freeman and get around 20 touches and a couple targets through the air” and I’m with him that the 24-year-old back stands a good shot of finding paydirt.

J.D. McKissic, DET vs. DAL

DK ($4,600)   FD ($5,800)

He’s probably too expensive on FD because of his reliance on the passing game and the Dallas run defense, which looked decent up until they encountered Dalvin Cook in Week 10. He’s got opportunity and game script on his side, and he could get a few more targets (season-high seven last week) with Matthew Stafford ruled out again and Jeff Driskel set to fill in at QB.

Kalen Ballage, MIA vs. BUF

DK ($4,300)   FD ($5,300)

Ballage is still cheap and getting lots of usage but arelatively quiet game in Week 10 (20 carries for 43 yards, 4-2-0 on four targetsreceiving), but head coach Brian Flores said Wednesday that the Dolphins willcontinue to lean heavily on him as their lead option out of the backfield. Thebills defense hasn’t been great recently and Ballage is a near lock for 15-20touches.

Additional plays: Miles Sanders, Ty Montgomery (only if Bell is OUT)

Monkey Knife Fight Picks of the Week

Pick the Players that will get the most Fantasy Points

Goal: 68.5, Prize: 3x

Lets go with Christian McCaffrey, Brian Hill and D.J. Moore, who could all go for 20+ Fantasy Points, with McCaffrey a regular threat to eclipse 40. At that rate, I am comfortable locking in the 2x bet all day and going for a little more at 3x considering the upside here. I wanted to include two RBs because its an article about that, so if you are skittish about Hill you can always use Julio Jones.

Week 11 in the NFL is about finding the best opportunities for guaranteed production with high upside.

Stud Quarterback: Lamar Jackson ($8,600 FD)

Lamar Jackson looks unstoppable right now. The dual threat QB has the safest NFL DFS floor on the slate. He faces the 24th ranked defense (against the QB) in what should be a high scoring game. He is averaging 98 yards rushing in his last four games. He has ran for five touchdowns in the same time frame. Those are stud RB numbers. Not only is he running, he is also throwing the ball 15-20 times per game. The Houston Texans are ranked 31st against the pass. This all adds up to Jackson being another fantastic spend up at quarterback this week. Faders are going to not have a good time.

Stud Pivots: Deshaun Watson, Dak Prescott

I really want to pay up at QB this week.

Value QB: Josh Allen ($7,800 FD)

Josh Allen has a history of owning the Dolphins. He too is a dual threat QB going against a poor defense in Miami. In the past two games he has run for three touchdowns and thrown for 426 yards. I like the upside he again presents in NFL DFS this week. Look for him to get another 60 yards on the ground, 200+ through the air and hit John Brown for a touchdown, or two.

Value QB pivot: Derek Carr

Running Backs

Stud RB: Christian McCaffrey ($10,500 FD)

Clear number one guy. Just get him in your lineup or regret it immediately at 1:01 PM EST on 11/17.

Stud Pivots: Ezekiel Elliott

Mid RB: Josh Jacobs ($8,000 FD)

The Bengals are the easiest team to run on in the NFL. They have given up a league worst 173 yards per game. Wow. They are also tied for the second most touchdowns given up on the season with 12. Josh Jacobs is a dual threat RB who is playing the bell cow role for Oakland. In three of his last five games he has gone over 100 yards. He has five touchdowns in the same time frame. He carries a questionable tag by his name right now but he is almost certain to play. If he plays the full 60 minutes he gets in the end zone at least once and has another 100 yards on the ground.

Pivots: Le’Veon Bell

Value RB Brian Hill ($5,900)

We are going to keep targeting the Panthers rush defense in NFL DFS. Last week they gave up three touchdowns to Aaron Jones, the week before two to Derick Henry and the week before that three to Tevin Coleman. In total, they have given up 17 touchdowns on the ground this year. That is five more than the next worst team! Brain Hill is going to step in for the injured Devonte Freeman and get around 20 touches and a couple targets through the air. Last week he caught one in the end zone and this week he is going to run one.

I will update again closer to Sunday. Be sure to check back.

Wide Receiver

Stud WR: Michael Thomas ($8,700 FD)

If you can find a way to afford him, he is your number one guy. Every week Thomas keeps producing. He has double digit targets in every game except two this year. He has yet to have a game without double digit FD points and it is Week 11. Tampa is one of the three best teams to target with wide receivers (Arizona and Oakland are the other two). They have given up the third most touchdowns through the air (22) and are allowing 298 yards per game. Thomas is a fail proof WR1 this week.

Stud Pivots: Julian Edelman, Julio Jones, Stefon Diggs, Amari Cooper

Mid WR: DJ Moore ($6,000 FD)

The Carolina Panthers host the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday. The Falcons were able to somehow keep the Saints out of the end zone last week which is not what NFL DFS players were expecting. It would appear the Falcons made some improvements during their bye week, but I am not buying it. They just do not have the personel to turn the corner so quick. I am chalking up that Saints loss to “not respecting the opponent” in a game the Falcons were most likely treating like a Super Bowl against their rivals. The Dirty Birds have still give up 19 receiving TD’s this season, and that is including a bye week and last Sunday’s miracle. DJ Moore has averaged 10 targets a game the last month. In that time span he has over 12 FD points in every game except one. This is all without a single touchdown. He has as good of a chance as he is going to get this season to snap the no TD streak. I love him at the price.

Mid WR Pivots in Order: John Brown, Jamison Crowder, Curtis Samuel, Tyrell Williams, Zach Pascal

Value WR: Calvin Ridley ($5,500 FD)

He is just one of those guys who is constantly underpriced for his ceiling. There is no Austin Hooper and no Devonte Freeman this week which means even more opportunity than usual for Ridley.

Value Pivot: Deebo Samuel ($5,600 FD) He will get a huge boost if Emmanuel Sanders misses, I am not interested in him if Sanders plays.

Value Pivot: Phillip Dorsett ($5,300 FD) An uber sneaky WR Punt this week when everyone is focused on Sanu. Dorsett has a nice connection with Brady and is way underpriced going against the 25th worst NFL DFS pass defense.

Tight End

Ryan Dwelley ($4,900 FD)

George Kittle is out and his backup Ryan Dwelley gets the best matchup on the board for one of the cheapest prices. If you are new here, my rule is pretty simple, target the Arizona Cardinals with tight ends. They are ranked 32nd in NFL DFS and have given up a touchdown virtually every week to the position. The 49ers are also likely without Emmanuel Sanders opening up even more opportunity for Dwelley to match or exceed his season best seven targets last game.

Tight End Pivots: Mark Andrews, Jared Cook, Ryan Griffin

Defense (order updated)

  1. 49ers
  2. Patriots
  3. Bills
  4. Oakland

Week 10 DFS Running Back – Cash Game Plays

ChristianMcCaffrey, CAR atGB

DK ($10,500)  FD ($10,500)

The Panthers have been limiting McCaffrey’s practiceworkload, but the stud RB’s Week 10 status is not in doubt following a coupleof maintenance days. Fantasy’s No. 1 running back in every aspect, he has a favorablematchup facing a Packers defense that’s been a sieve to running back production.Lock this man in for your cash games and any other formats you see fit.

Saquon Barkley, NYG at NYJ

DK ($8,800)   FD ($8,600)

Barkley gets a great matchup vs. the Jets (who allow 18-20fantasy points to RBs, on average) and remains the consensus No. 1 or 2 fantasyRB heading into Week 10. He’s involved in the entire offense and sees upwardsof 8-10 targets each week – making him a lock for double-digit production evenwithout the running game clicking.

Derrick Henry, TEN vs. KC

DK ($6,400)   FD ($7,000)

If you’re averse to spending top dollar at both RB spots incash, Henry offers a considerable discount from the aforementioned backs andhas nearly as much upside against a Chiefs defense that’s among the worst inthe NFL at defending RBs.

Week 10 DFS Running Back – GPP Plays

Alvin Kamara, NO vs. ATL

DK ($8,200)   FD ($8,300)

Saints head coach Sean Payton had already noted that Kamara would return following his two-game absence, but on Thursday the electric RB practiced in full, putting him higher on my list of GPP plays for Week 10. Latavius Murray will still get work and his excellent performance in Kamara’s stead, and has earned a touch more standalone work, but Kamara is a special player who can take over a game and should eviscerate the Falcons defense. He won’t see the ownership of Barkley or McCaffrey, making him a better tournament play in Saints stacks with Drew Brees and Michael Thomas.

Mark Ingram, BAL at CIN

DK ($7,100)   FD ($8,000)

Ingram is one of many options for the Ravens who could blowup in this game, so I’m not too high on him for cash games, but he makes an excellentGPP play because of the opponent  (theBengals rank around the third-worst in terms of passing and running defenseDVOA), and his ability to run for over 100 yards. I won’t be at fullexposure, but I should be ahead of the field.

David Montgomery, CHI vs. DET

DK ($5,300)   FD ($6,400)

Montgomery is finally having the type of production we expectedhim to earlier in the season, in part because Matt Nagy is using him properly. Montgomery has seen 48 touches over the last two gamesand has now totaled 16 or more touches in five of the last seven games. That workhorserole means his favorable matchup with the Lions means he’s a lock for top 10-15fantasy production, with Top 5 upside. He’s part of my core plays at RB in GPPs,even though he might get chalky.

Marlon Mack, IND vs. MIA

DK ($7,000)   FD ($7,400)

Mack makes for a great GPP ply against a poor opponent thisweek, and we could expect maybe a little lower ownership because of the high price.Without the cake matchup, he wouldn’t have nearly as much upside as the playershe’s priced alongside, but the Dolphins yield the most points to fantasy RBsand the Colts should be more ground-focused if it’s Brian Hoyer under center.

Also consider: DeVonta Freeman, Jaylen Samuels, Jamaal Williams, Damien Williams

Week 10 DFS Running Back – Contrarian GPP Plays

Le’Veon Bell, NYJ vs. NYG

DK ($6,900)   FD ($6,900)

TheGiants run defense is getting better, but they still have major issues. TheJets do too, but I think we’re in the clear with Bell moving forward, as the tradedeadline has come and gone and he’s the best man for the job despite his 3.3YPC this season. He had a brief injury scare at the beginning of the week, butthe MRI revealed nothing significant and he’s supposed to go on Sunday. Staytuned, but consider him as a contrarian play with plenty of upside on bothsites.

David Johnson, ARI at TB

DK ($5,700)   FD ($6,800)

Johnson presents as a very high risk, moderate-to-high rewardand I can’t imagine he’ll be on everybody’s list of top plays, so most will beunderweight on him. So if you’re trying to take down a large-field GPP, he’s wortha look as a low-owned option with plenty of upside. The Bucs have the NFL’stop-ranked run defense, but the Cards spread the field and run the football, soexpect some plays drawn up for Johnson to get some easy completions from KylerMurray and rack up the points. A much safer play on DK because of the full-PPRand nicer price.

Nick Chubb, CLE vs. BUF

DK ($7,000)   FD ($8,100)

After a relatively disappointing week at Denver, Chubb could be off the radar for most owners, especially with Kareem Hunt finally available as a change of pace back. He has a tough matchup, but after seeing him rush for 131 yards on 20 carries against the Patriots, I think his results depend more on game flow, big plays and goal line opportunities. The Bills defense hasn’t been wonderful the past couple of weeks and has shown itself to be more vulnerable against the run. If the Browns don’t get behind by multiple TDs, we could see heavy doses of Chubb and enough production to warrant his usage in some GPPs.

Also consider: Todd Gurley, Joe Mixon, Ty Johnson

Week 10 DFS Running Back – Value/Punt Plays

Devin Singletary, BUF at CLE

DK ($5,000)   FD ($6,700)

The rookie RB is coming into his own, with scores inconsecutive weeks and a season-high 20 carries vs. Washington in Week 9. He’sone of the best value plays of the slate and makes sense as a flex play in cashgames and one of your core plays in GPPs.

J.D. McKissic, DET

DK ($4,300)   FD ($5,600)

He’s an option because he outperformed Ty Johnson last weekand could be seeing a larger workload against the Bears. There’s plenty of riskin this matchup, but McKissic gained 32 yards on just four carries in Week 9and should have the requisite opportunities to make an impact as a pass-catcher.

Kalen Ballage, MIA at IND

DK ($3,800)   FD ($4,600)

With Miami’s Bad Boy (teammate Mark Walton) slated to servea four-game suspension, the enigmatic and dynamic Ballage figures to see anexpanded role in Dolphins offense. It’s a team – as a whole – that doesn’talways allow for the most favorable game flows and a commitment to the running game, but Ballage is cheap and has given us monster games before. He’s in a spot todominate the touches in the backfield in Week 10.

Additional plays: Giovani Bernard, Kareem Hunt

Monkey Knife Fight Picks of the Week

Pick the Players what will get the most Fantasy Points

Goal: 54.5, Prize: 2x

Saquon Barkley, Le’Veon Bell and Golden Tate

Going with the RB theme, we can start both RBs in the Giants-Jets game, as both should have plenty of opportunities ion both the running and passing game on Sunday. Pairing them with PPR maven WR Golden Tate could help you get 2x or more on your bet.

Week 10 in the NFL is about finding the best opportunities for guaranteed production with high upside.

Stud Quarterback: Lamar Jackson ($8,600 FD)

Smash spot for Lamar Jackson, who is coming off yet another impressive showing against the New England Patriots on Monday night. He can run on the Bengals or throw on them. Either one works. I have two hesitations. The first is it’s a short week for Baltimore. This might not be a big deal at all. In fact it could help the game stay a little closer with one less day of prep. The larger concern is that the Bengals are starting their rookie QB and he could turn it over a few times. If the Ravens defense is scoring that means Lamar isn’t. Even with those concerns Lamar has a very high floor and very high ceiling. He could put up 30 points here and no one would be surprised. If you play Lamar you are hoping the Bengals find a way to keep this one close.

Stud Pivots: Drew Brees

Value Quarterback: Jameis Winston ($7,900 FD)

The Cardinals have given up a league high 24 touchdowns to wide receivers the season. They now have Patrick Peterson back but he can’t cover everyone. Winston possesses the most lethal duo of wide receivers the past month in the NFL. Every week Mike Evans or Chris Godwin goes crazy. Winston has at least one touchdown in every game this season and if he isn’t completely off his game he should thrive once again here. O.J. Howard will be back this week and he also has Cameron Brate at TE to throw to. Although the secret is out, we still like to target the Cardinals TE coverage. Winston should easily get over 300 yards here and a minimum two touchdowns.

Value QB Pivots: Kyler Murray

Running Backs

Stud RB: Christian McCaffrey ($9,700 FD)

I don’t think we need much explanation here. Every time you don’t play CMC you regret it. He is the entire offense. He runs, he catches and he gets in the end zone. Green Bay has the 27th worst defense against fantasy running backs. Easy play. Lock.

Stud Pivots: Saquon Barkley

Mid RB: Aaron Jones ($7,600 FD)

Target the Carolina Panthers with running backs. They have given up a league high 14 rushing touchdowns on the year. The next worse team (Seattle) has give up 12. I targeted them last week with Derrick Henry and the week before when Tevin Coleman had a career game. Jones has two touchdown upside here and I would be shocked if he didn’t get 100 all-purpose yards and at least one touchdown. Don’t let him burning you last week get you off him here. Let all the scared money fade him.

Pivots: Devin Singletary

Update Note: Connor is out again. Love Jaylen Samuels this week, more on DK.

Note: Don’t play Kareem Hunt on FanDuel. We are better than that. On DK ok maybe..he is cheap, but I have almost no interest as of now.

I will update again closer to Sunday. Be sure to check back.

Wide Receiver

Stud WR: Michael Thomas ($8,700 FD)

Drew Brees is back and should feed Thomas against the rival Atlanta Falcons who can not figure out how to stop the bleeding. They are bad defensively and the Saints should win the game rather easily. Thomas has not been targeted under 10 times since September 29th. He is priced as the highest wide receiver because he is the most likely to tear the slate apart. The Falcons have been prepping on how to stop him for two weeks but that doesn’t scare me off at all. There is going to be nothing they can do except hope they can keep up on offense. Thomas has over 100 yards in three of his last four game and three touchdowns in the same time frame. His lowest fantasy outing this entire season is 13.9 FanDuel points. It doesn’t get much safer.

Stud Pivots: Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Cooper Kupp

Mid WR: Odell Beckham Jr ($6,900 FD)

Come on, this is way too cheap for OBJ. I know he hasn’t performed as a fantasy WR1 this season but the skill set is undeniable. Baker looks pretty terrible but even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. The Bills defense looks good on paper but let’t not forget their very easy schedule so far. OBJ has not gotten a touchdown in six consecutive games so I will bet he snaps the streak here. The last time he played in New York he went for 161 and a touchdown. This is a boom or bust play. I like all the guys listed below if you don’t want to live dangerously….

Mid WR Pivots: Robert Woods, Golden Tate (if Shepard out)

Value WR: Christian Kirk ($5,700 FD)

He goes against the Tampa Bay defense that is ranked 32nd against defending the pass. Kirk is healthy now and is Murray’s deep threat. He had a poor game last week against the top ranked San Fransisco defense and the Cardinals only attempted 24 passes. That should change this week. This looks like a high scoring game that should stay close and Murray will finally get that deep ball he has been looking for with Kirk.

Value WR Pivots: Parker (like more than Kirk now),Zach Pascal, Josh Reynolds

Tight End

Gerald Everett ($5,700 FD)

With Cooks not playing Everett is going to be Jared Goff’s third best option to throw too on the field. He has a nice matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who struggle to cover the tight end. In the past month Everett has been targeted 10 or more times in half of the games. The Steelers recently acquired Minkah Fitzpatrick, who is turning out to be everything they hoped and more. His presence will limit Goff’s comfort with throwing it to his receivers down the field, which in turn will allow more checkdowns for Everett. I am willing to take him as my top tight end with price and upside considered.

Tight End Pivots: Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, T.J. Hockenson, Ryan Griffin

Defense (order updated)

  1. Ravens
  2. Colts
  3. Bills
  4. Saints
  5. Lions

Punt: Dolphins

MONKEYKNIFEFIGHT.COM PICK – Play this Pick here and get 100 percent bonus!

This one is so easy. Winston and Murray both have great matchups against the opposing defenses. Winston regularly throws over 300 and Murray now has a healthy receiving core and the newly acquired Kenyan Drake to throw too. Making a bigger bet than usual on this one.

Another solid week of NFL DFS Cash Games for the Win Daily Team in Week Nine – the sample lineup from last week’s Checkdown crossed the pay-line yet again in DraftKings single entry cash games (180.61 DraftKings points)! Let’s get right back to it for the Week 10 Checkdown for your NFL DFS Cash Games.

Sign up NOW for WIN DAILY Premium Gold right here! Projections, wagering info, 24/7 expert chats and more!

My articles will be mainly meant for DraftKings, but you can certainly use this information for other DFS websites. Please check back in on Saturday/Sunday morning for potential NFL DFS Cash Games updates!

If you have any questions and would like some further help when building your lineups, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly on Twitter. I’m always available to help NFL DFS players make the most of their investments.

Some notes on what I believe to be the “optimal” roster build for NFL DFS Cash Games. I’ll include this in all the Checkdown articles moving forward. For Week 10, please see below for my notes on roster construction:

  • There are a lot of value options at the WR position, but I strongly believe you are going to need at least one of these top-tier WRs.
  • I’m out on Kalen Ballage.
  • It appears to be impossible to fade Christian McCaffrey in any DFS lineup right now – especially cash games. Lock him in!
  • I don’t see much value in paying down at QB this week.
  • Just because someone is not included in this write-up, does not mean you cannot play them in cash. These are all just my preferred plays for an optimal cash game build.

NFL DFS Cash Games Quarterbacks

  1. Lamar Jackson ($7,300) – Jackson is part running back, part quarterback. Baltimore is a double-digit favorite on the road here so we do have to worry about this game potentially getting out of hand, but Lamar Jackson is as safe as they come in DFS cash games.
  2. Drew Brees ($6,700) – Drew Brees at home, in what should be a high scoring game (opening total of 51 points) against a terrible Atlanta secondary. Yes, please.
  3. Kyler Murray ($6,500) – Everyone torches this Tampa Bay pass defense as they are giving up the most DraftKings points to opposing quarterbacks. Kyler also provides us with some rushing yards to help raise that floor a bit. He’s certainly cash and GPP viable this week in what should be a very fast-paced, shootout style of football.
  4. Daniel Jones ($5,700) – Jones is risky, but if you need salary relief, you can certainly do worse against Daniel Jones against the Jets beat-up secondary.

NFL DFS Cash Games Running Backs

  1. Christian McCaffrey ($10,500) – Do we need to say anything about Christian McCaffrey? Locking in McCaffrey should be the first thing you do in your cash game lineups.
  2. Saquon Barkley ($8,800) – Great price for the most talented running back in the NFL. It’s going to be tough to afford both McCaffrey and Barkley, and I would 100% choose McCaffrey if I had to play one, but Barkley is cash viable.
  3. Nick Chubb ($7,000) – Another game, another 20+ touches for Nick Chubb. This guy is a volume monster and we should not worry about the return of Kareem Hunt just yet. Buffalo’s run defense is nothing to be afraid of.
  4. Marlon Mack ($7,000) – We love using running backs against this Miami defense and we love using running backs who are double-digit favorites at home. Mack checks both of those boxes.
  5. Derrick Henry ($6,400) – I don’t usually love Henry on DraftKings due to his lack of work in the passing game, but he is coming off of a monster performance against Carolina and goes up against one of the worst run defenses in the NFL (who are starting to get better as they get healthier).

The Titans are at home against the Chiefs in Week 10 and should game-plan to get Henry 25+ touches to run clock and keep the Chiefs’ off the field as much as possible. The Chiefs got defensive tackle Chris Jones back last week and he had a huge impact in slowing down Dalvin Cook, but Henry’s price is so affordable so he is definitely in play for cash games.
  6. David Montgomery ($5,300) – Detroit is getting pounded by opposing running backs. David Montgomery is finally starting to run away with the Bears’ RB1 position and should be in store for 20+ touches this week.

The Bears clearly can’t move the ball via the pass so they will have to lean on Montgomery here at home to keep this game close with Detroit. He’s also coming off of back-to-back 22+ DraftKings’ point outings.
  7. Devin Singletary ($5,000) – It appears as if the rookie running back has finally placed himself atop of the Bills’ RB depth chart. Singletary ran the ball 20 times last week and remained active in the Bills’ passing game as well. I don’t think we need to worry about Frank Gore taking meaningful snaps away from Singletary.
  8. Ronald Jones ($4,300) – If you need salary relief at the running back position, Ronald Jones is your man in Week 10. He’s going to be the main focus in the Bucs’ backfield for the remainder of the season and should have plenty of opportunities to score in this matchup against Arizona.

Wide Receivers

  1. Michael Thomas ($8,300) – Thomas is the McCaffrey of wide receivers. He gets it done week in and week out. He is by far my number one receiver in DFS this week.
  2. Tyreek Hill ($7,700) – If you read the cash writeup each week, you know I love to pick on this Tennessee secondary. The last two weeks we loved Mike Evans and D.J. Moore and they both smashed in this matchup. I love Hill’s chances this week to do the same.
  3. Chris Godwin ($7,300) – Patrick Peterson is an excellent shadow corner who should be assigned the duty of following Mike Evans around the field on Sunday. Evans is still in play this week, but I’ll go to Godwin in cash as Peterson rarely travels to the slot (where Godwin runs a majority of his routes from). This game is going to shoot out, so get some exposure to it.
  4. Christian Kirk ($5,200) – It was either Kirk of Larry Fitzgerald for me. I like Kirk’s upside way more as it appears Larry Fitzgerald is finally slowing down with old age. This is a great matchup against the Tampa Bay secondary so I’m going to go with the receiver with more upside, Christian Kirk.
  5. Sammy Watkins ($5,100) – Similar matchup as why we love Tyreek Hill so much. If you need salary relief and can’t afford Hill, use Watkins.
  6. Marquise Brown ($5,100) – We may need a high flyer if we’re paying down at so many spots to afford CMC and Michael Thomas.
  7. Jamison Crowder ($5,000) – The “little guy” from the Jets finally got his groove back with Sam Darnold in Week Nine against the Dolphins. Crowder should be able to get open early and often against Giants’ slot cornerbacks, Corey Ballentine and Grant Haley (who are not good in coverage).
  8. DeVante Parker ($4,800) – Four straight weeks of double-digit DraftKings’ outings for Devante Parker. Fitzpatrick being under center has certainly raised Parker’s value and he should continue to get seven or more targets a game. Miami will fall behind early in this game against the Colts and that should really help Parker’s chances of getting a strong volume from Fitzpatrick.

Preston Williams is also out for the season… it should be #ParkerSzn.
  9. Tyler Boyd ($4,700) – Boyd is averaging over 10 targets a game. I don’t think there is anyone priced under $5,500 that has that sort of guaranteed volume, so Boyd is without-a-doubt in play for cash games.

If A.J. Green were to return, I’m still fine with using Boyd in cash (I may even prefer it). The Bengals are going to be down early against the Ravens so Boyd should see another heavy workload in the passing game.
  10. A.J. Brown (4,300) – I’m starting to like the rapport A.J. Brown and Ryan Tannehill are building together. I don’t love this play at all, but if Kansas City gets ahead early, Tennessee will have to abandon the run-first focus they usually have with Derrick Henry. If you’re a believer in the potential game script of Kansas City scoring early and often, A.J. Brown makes a ton of sense at this price.

Tight Ends

  1. Travis Kelce ($6,400) – If you can afford him, you can always play him in cash. The floor with Kelce is probably higher than any other tight end in the field, but so is his price.
  2. Austin Hooper ($5,500) – Hooper has put up double digit DraftKings points in all but one game this season. His price is affordable and he should continue to be a focal point of this Atlanta offense as they play from behind in New Orleans.
  3. Cameron Brate ($3,700) & O.J. Howard ($3,300)- I’ll probably take Brate out later in the week if his injury status becomes more clear. He barely played last week in Seattle, so obviously, something is off. If he’s out, O.J. Howard is just your classic tight end against the Cardinals play… although there is very little data on the Bucs’ side that supports playing Howard.
  4. Greg Olsen ($3,600) – If we’re paying down at tight end, I strongly prefer Olsen in this spot against the Packers than I do messing around with Cameron Brate or O.J. Howard.
  5. Jack Doyle ($3,600) – Same as last week… when T.Y. Hilton is out, these Indianapolis tight ends get a solid bump up in my projections. There’s nothing sexy here about Jack Doyle, but he should hit value for us in cash games with Brian Hoyer under center.
  6. Mike Gesicki ($3,100) – Punt play if you need more salary relief. Gesicki is coming off of the best game of his career and should be able to ride that momentum into Week 10 against the Colts. Preston Williams is out for the season with a torn ACL, so there are a lot of red-zone targets to be had for Gesicki.

Defense/Special Teams

  1. Baltimore Ravens ($4,000)
  2. New Orleans Saints ($3,700)
  3. Indianapolis Colts ($3,500)
  4. Los Angeles Rams ($3,000)
  5. Buffalo Bills ($2,900)
  6. New York Giants ($2,800)
  7. Tennessee Titans ($2,000) – Punt play if Patrick Mahomes is out.

NFL DFS Cash Games – Sample Lineup

QB: Kyler Murray
RB: Ronald Jones
RB: David Montgomery
WR: Michael Thomas
WR: Tyler Boyd
WR: Christian Kirk
TE: Mike Gesicki
FLEX: Christian McCaffrey
DST: Tennessee Titans

Week 9 DFS Running Back – Cash Game Plays

Dalvin Cook, MIN at KC

DK ($9,500)   FD ($9,000)

Cook has as much upside as any fantasy RB in football, excluding maybe Christian McCaffrey (more on him later), with the highestfloor. He’s the top play this week in cash games and despite the huge price tagand ownership, he’s worth a look in all formats. Lock the dude in against a badrun defense and what should be a high-scoring, relatively closely-matched affair.

Chris Carson, SEA vs. TB

DK ($7,200)   FD ($8,200)

Carson has just one TD and one target last week but rushed for 90 yards and remains an affordable, elite fantasy RB with plenty of upside. There’s a chance the Seahawks throw a bit more this week facing a Bucs defense that’s vulnerable in its secondary, but that’s not keeping me away from one the most consistent value plays in the game.

Week 9 DFS Running Back – GPP Plays

Christian McCaffrey, CAR vs.TEN

DK ($10,000)  FD ($9,700)

McCaffrey was limited at practice due to a knee injury, but Ron Rivera said he’s not concerned, so should we be? I may not be playing him a $10,000 on DK in too many cash games, but the “injury” and the price could keep a few more folks from clicking his name in GPPs. He’s still involved in all aspects of the Carolina offense, and is on track for another 5-10 targets and 20+ fantasy points, even if he’s not 100 percent.

Josh Jacobs, OAK vs. DET

DK ($6,500)   FD ($7,200)

The Lions run defense isn’t wonderful, and Jacobs gets aton of touches. Huis ownership could be down coming off a poor showing atHouston and the big red “Q” that’s next to his name right now because he was listedas a limited participant at Wednesday’s practice. But Jacobs played through whatevershoulder issue he’s been having last week, and there have been no reportedsetbacks in that game. I’m guessing the team is just limiting his practice repsin advance of this weekend’s matchup against Detroit, which is just fine.

Le’Veon Bell, NYJ at MIA

DK ($7,700)   FD ($7,000)

Here’s where things could get a little dicey, but alsoprofitable. The Dolphins defense is no match for a healthy, engaged Bell, andeven dumb-bucket Jets head coach Adam Gase knows it. Gase blames himself forBell getting only 12 touches in Sunday’s pathetic 29-15 loss to the Jaguars, andspent this week trying to trade everyone under the sun before copping to hismiscues. I do think that since he couldn’t trade Bell (which he can’t now, sothere’s no reason to limit his usage) he’ll give him a full complement oftouches and Bell should see plenty of opportunity to pay off his price tag onboth sites.

Nick Chubb, CLE at DEN

DK ($7,300)   FD ($8,100)

Chubb rushed for 131 yards on 20 carries against thePatriots, a notoriously tough defense to run on. This week, he gets the Broncos, who are not as good, in a contest that should be a lot closer and require justas much running from the former Georgia Bulldog. He should also have more usagein the passing game (26 targets over six weeks before last week’s one-target debacle)and probably won’t fumble twice in Denver. Jump on this under-the-radar talentin GPPs.

Marlon Mack, IND at PIT

DK ($6,300)   FD ($6,900)

Mack ran for 76 yards and a score on 19 carries, adding a14-yard catch during Sunday’s 15-13 battle over Denver (which followed a slowweek against the Texans), and he faces a decent Steelers run defense this timearound. Again – he sees a lot of touch volume and won’t draw large ownershiplevels in GPPs. The price came up slightly but I’m buying this week.

Jaylen Samuels, PIT vs. IND

DK ($4,000)   FD ($5,000)

James Connor is still dinged up and questionable for Sunday’s game, while Samuels practiced fully on Wednesday and looks like he could be the bell cow if Connor and Benny Snell are both on the shelf against Indy. His ownership will be sky-high if both those Steelers RBs are inactive, but it’ll be worth it for the role he’ll have – along with the 20-25 point upside.

Also consider: Phillip Lindsay (wrist), Aaron Jones (shoulder),Derrick Henry, Jamaal Williams

Week 9 DFS Running Back – Contrarian GPP Plays

Austin Ekeler, LAC vs. GB

DK ($6,000)   FD ($6,500)

I’ll never understand why coaches like Anthony Lynn getaway from the guys who have been successful, but such is the case. Giving Ekelerjust three carries and three targets would have been a bigger story had the Chargerslost (and they should have), but we can guess that he’ll have a larger workloadthis week, where the shifty back should dominate the backfield touches againstan opponent that could jump out to a lead. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a negativegame script for Ekeler to succeed, so I’ll be using him once again in GPPs forhis massive upside – even if he continues to split with the less versatile MelvinGordon.

Ty Johnson, DET at OAK

DK ($4,900)   FD ($5,500)

This play is not for the faint of heart, and it’s going tobe tough to click his name after what happened in Week 8. I know – I feel you.But Tough Guy Ty was on everybody’s list last week for a reason. He’s got a fewthings going against him this week, but his ownership will be a fraction of whatit was a week ago, and we have to take some contrarian chances in DFS.

Also consider: Jordan Howard, LeSean McCoy, Damien Williams,Tarik Cohen

Week 9 DFS Running Back – Value/Punt Plays

David Montgomery, CHI at PHI

DK ($5,200)   FD ($6,600)

Montgomery had his breakout game last week (27 carries, 135rushing yards, TD; 4-12-0 receiving) as we profiled him in this same “valueplay” section. The price has come up a bit, but he’s still a veritable bargain andfaces an Eagles defense that’s only slightly better than the Chargers.

Devin Singletary, BUF vs. WAS

DK ($4,700)   FD ($6,100)

The Bills are at home facing Washington this week, and they’reeager to shake off the display they put on against the Eagles. Expect a lot moretouches coming to Singletary as the team finds more ways to get him the ball.

Royce Freeman, DEN vs. CLE

DK ($4,900)   FD($5,700)

Freeman could see an increased workload this week if PhillipLindsay (wrist) can’t play, and the matchup against the Browns is a juicy one.

Mark Walton, MIA vs. NYJ

DK ($4,500)   FD ($5,700)

With Kenyan Drake off to Arizona, Walton has taken over aslead back for Miami. While he didn’t find much running room against theSteelers on Monday night, he has a solid matchup against the Jets’ porous rundefense in Week 9.

Additional plays: Tra Carson, Frank Gore, Chris Thompson (toe)

Monkey Knife Fight Picks of the Week

Pick the Players that will get the most Fantasy Points

Goal: 65.5, Prize: 2x — D. Cook, L. Bell & M. Mack

These three RBs have solid matchups and are poised to have big days. It’s an RB article, so I restricted my MKF picks here to RBs. Mix in a WR if you’re not feeling an all-RB crew!
