NFLSports Betting NFL Prop Bets: Stix Picks’ TNF AETY Model Prop Locks (Week 7) StixPicks 3 years ago written by StixPicks Well, we’ve been talking about the Adjusted Expected Total Yards (AETY) model that was created in the off-season for NFL Prop Bets … It’s time to let her shine for Week 7, Thursday Night Football. Please play responsibly and enjoy the AETY edge.I’ll keep it brief and simply just post the plays the model spit out when reconciling the lines from BetRivers, DraftKings, Fanduel, etc.Make sure you get similar prices on these odds or simply back off that play. This model is meant for taking advantage of sports betting market errors. If you don’t get a similar price to what we post here, it’s recommended that you do not play those NFL Prop Bets. NFLDaily Fantasy Sports Week 4 NFL DFS Thursday Night Showdown Preview: Broncos at Jets jason mezrahi 3 years ago written by jason mezrahi The fun continues with this week’s Thursday night showdown, and we’re breaking it down to help you win big money in the first Week 4 NFL DFS contests!Introduction to Single-Game ShowdownsDraftKings calls them “Showdowns,” and FanDuel doesn’t really have a name for them other than “Single-Game Contests,” but whatever we call them they require an understanding of game narratives and game theory – which means we need to target low-ownership players that will give us the best opportunities within the narratives and game outcomes we’re expecting. My picks will focus almost exclusively on finding GPP-winning combinations that have a chance at taking down the contests you’re entering, be they single-entry or MME. While we can’t cover all the possible combos or provide full lineups for you to deploy, the goal here is to give you the tools to win and highlight some names that will help make for profitable results. If I enter five lineups in a large-field GPP, at least three of those lineups will focus on the most likely game outcome (based on Vegas odds, props and totals), with one or two contrarian builds. As we know, late-breaking news can have a significant effect on full slates, and that’s just amplified with single-game contests. If you have any questions leading up to lock, please consult our NFL DFS experts in Discord.Let’s get to the game!Week 4 NFL DFS MVP candidates (1.5x points)Some notes on the differences between MVP on FanDuel and DraftKings: The 1.5x point boost on FD comes with no salary penalty, while and DK also bumps the salary to 1.5x – a crucial factor in deciding who we can and cannot afford on both sites. We can use this to our advantage on FD by occasionally targeting non-QBs to establish more variance and more unique lineups, and on DK it allows us to build more hearty overall stacks when we punt the MVP position with a cheap but high-upside player.Chalk: Melvin Gordon (DK $16,500, FD $15,000)Pivot: Sam Darnold (DK $15,900, FD $14,000)Contrarian #1: Noah Fant (DK $13,500, FD $12,000)Contrarian #2: Brett Rypien (DK $15,300, FD $12,000)It’s going to be difficult for me to build anything tonight without Melvin Gordon atop my favorite showdown lineups, for reasons I should probably not have to explain. But I’m going to have some using both Gordon and Sam Darnold as flex plays with an inexpensive captain — hoping to get me 10-15 fantasy points — so we can squeeze in more upside-laden players. As a standalone NFL contest between two winless teams, it’s not a very fun game to handicap, and it may be an even worse game to watch – but DFS allows us to add some (possibly) lucrative excitement to the mix, doesn’t it?Both teams are dealing with multiple injuries to their offensive and defensive units and second stringers (or third, in the case of Broncos QB Brett Rypien) have been thrust into prominent roles at the skill positions. One Jets WR has already been ruled out (Breshard Perriman, OUT) and Darnold may also be without Chris Hogan (ribs, knee) and Jamison Crowder (hamstring), both of which currently sport “questionable” tags. Crowder is expected to play, but that doesn’t really diminish my enthusiasm for Braxton Berrios, who has emerged as a viable target for the beleaguered Jets. We’ve also been hearing for a while how awesome Jets TE Chris Herndon is (still waiting on that big breakout game), so a prime time matchup could be an opportunity for him to shine. The contrarian play, since the Broncos are expected to feature Gordon and attack one of the league’s worst run defenses, is using Rypien in his first NFL start at CPT. Jeff Driskel is not injured (just waiting in the wings if Rypien really struggles) and could be used in the offense as well, so this is a risky move best deployed in multi-entry tournaments. You can get insane leverage by doing it in single entry, but I wouldn’t risk more than a few bucks on that.Rookie Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy has seen 24 targets from three different QBs through three games, hauling in 13-173-0, and while he’s probably Denver’s most explosive big-play threat, I prefer TE Noah Fant. The athletic former Hawkeye has been more efficient (14-184-2 on 21 targets) and should be easier to find on shorter routes while still bringing some big-play and red zone upside. Tim Patrick is an efficient target and seems to have more upside than KJ Hamler if you’re stacking with Broncos receivers. On DK, rostering Fant at CPT allows you to fit both QBs and some key offensive cogs, and while the offenses are banged up, I’m still more interested in them than the defenses in this matchup. There’s some pick six leverage in using the Broncos DST, but Denver’s unit is without standouts Jurrell Casey, Von Miller, and A.J. Bouye; dynamic edge rusher and OLB Bradley Chubb (12.0 sacks in 2018) has been on a pitch count (and is without a sack) through the first three games of 2020.Lastly, on the topic of the Jets “stable” of RBs, I have much more interest in Kalen Ballage or rookie RB La’Mical Perine (in a negative game script/passing barrage) than Frank Gore, who may have finally reached his breaking point as a viable NFL player. Much love to you, Frankie G, but it’s a sad reality that your impressive NFL career is finishing in New Jersey, on a team of mostly scrubs, in the middle of a pandemic. You’re still a large-field GPP play because of your heart — but I can’t get behind you in cash or single-entry.Week 4 NFL DFS Utility options (and some DOs and DON’Ts)Remember to build your team based on a narrative that makes sense, and utilize the WinDaily fantasy toolbox for cheatsheets and projections that can help you tremendously with lineup building.DO: Build a trio (or quartet) of offensive weapons for a team that makes sense togetherDON’T: Be afraid to take a shot on a defense on DK. Darnold throws INTs and the Broncos QB is making his first NFL start.DO: Use the projected team totals to shade one way or the other with your offensive selections, although the small spread doesn’t preclude using more underdogs tonight.DON’T: Be afraid to get (a little) crazy with this one – from using hobbled players like Crowder or featuring an unproven QB like Rypien. We’ve seen QBs have monster games in their debuts against better defenses than this hideous Jets unit. Now that we’ve established some narratives and MVP candidates, the best way to round out this piece is with a list of my favorite options in descending order, based on overall value (a combo of salary and projected points):Melvin GordonNoah FantSam DarnoldBraxton BerriosBrett RypienJamison Crowder (questionable, hamstring)Jerry JeudyChris HerndonBroncos DSTTim PatrickBrandon McManusKalen BallageSam FickenK.J. It shouldn’t be too difficult to stack up two or three of his WRs and RBs and come back with some high-profile Dolphins, though the winning combination might leave a considerable amount of salary on the table.Ryan Fitzpatrick makes for a nice pivot, since the Jaguars have an effective rookie back in James Robinson who could rack up some points and keep Minshew from making value. I’d certainly entertain Fitzmagic-at-MVP combos with one (or both) of the Jaguars RBs (pass-catching back Chris Thompson being the other). In one scenario, the Jags would grab an early lead behind the running of Robinson, with the veteran Miami QB storming back via several TD passes against a defense that’s no longer a stalwart unit.In the other, the Dolphins grab an early lead via Fitzpatrick, struggle to move the ball on the ground and get most of their yardage and points via their WRs (Keelan Cole has some incredible hands and is massively underpriced on DK) and a drive or two that relies heavily on Thompson.I’m very high on Mike Gesicki (who runs nearly 80% of his routes directly out of the slot) and I’m finding a way to get him into most of my builds. If you’ve been following him since last season, you know that his monster Week 2 performance (11-130-1 on eight targets) was not a fluke, and that he’s a talented pass-catching tight end with tons of upside in just about any matchup.Spending down for a non-QB at MVP allows you almost total freedom in stacking up the best offensive options on DraftKings, though I might not go too heavy with this approach on FanDuel. The game total and defensive strengths of both teams seem to point to big days for one or both signal callers.UPDATE: With the news that DJ Chark will sit out TNF, I’m making a little more room for Laviska Shenault, Jr. and Chris Conley.Week 3 NFL DFS Utility options (and some DOs and DON’Ts)Remember to build your team based on a narrative that makes sense, and utilize the WinDaily fantasy toolbox for cheatsheets and projections that can help you tremendously with lineup building.DO: Build a trio (or quartet) of offensive weapons for a team that makes sense togetherDON’T: Rely too heavily on either of these defenses in your builds – though using a DST in 1 or 1 out of 10 large-field GPPs could be good way to establish some variance. Fitzpatrick tossed three INTs in Week 1 against the Patriots, and we know he’s capable of throwing more than that (and a pick six).DO: Use the projected team totals to shade one way or the other with your offensive selections.DON’T: Be afraid to use just one or two players from a single team if you think a blowout is a possibility. Now that we’ve established some narratives and MVP candidates, the best way to round out this piece is with a list of my favorite options in descending order, based on overall value (a combo of salary and projected points):Gardner Minshew IIRyan FitzpatrickMike GesickiKeelan ColeDeVante ParkerJames RobinsonMyles GaskinDJ Chark Jr. (questionable, chest) OUTPreston WilliamsLaviska Shenault Jr.Isaiah FordTyler EifertChris ThompsonJaguars DSTJordan HowardChris ConleyJason SandersMatt BreidaBrandon Wright (new Jags K — available only on FD)Dolphins DST 3 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail

Daily Fantasy SportsNFL Thursday Night Football DFS Week 15 Showdown Preview – Best Values and GPP Stacks Andrew Erickson 4 years ago written by Andrew Erickson Welcome to another Thursday night football DFS preview article. I will be covering value and punt plays, favorite stacks, and my contrarian play of the game. So who is ready for some Thursday night action between the Jets and Ravens? All prices discussed are via DraftKings in their Thursday Night Football DFS Showdown Contest. Sign up NOW for Premium Gold right here! Projections, wagering info, 24/7 expert chats and more!Thursday Night Football DFS – Value and Punt PlaysThe Jets have been more susceptible to pass-catching backs than traditional runners this season. They have allowed the fourth-most receptions, fourth-most targets, fourth-most red zone touches, and most red-zone targets to the running back position this season. Ingram has gotten more in the passing game as of late and that could be a potential matchup the Ravens could exploit. There’s also a possibility that Justice Hill ($200) or Patrick Ricard ($200) makes some noise in the red zone so they are interesting options in DFS. Seth Roberts ($1,800) has four targets in two of his last three games and has been playing ahead of rookie Miles Boykin at the left outside wide receiver position. Ryan Griffin for the Jets is out of the lineup with an injury so Daniel Brown ($2,000) should see the majority of snaps from the tight end position for the Jets. If you are looking to save even more salary look at Trevon Wesco ($200). Jets receiver Vyncint Smith ($600) also has a chance to play a key role in this game with Demaryius Thomas listed as doubtful in this contest. Thursday Night Football DFS – Favorite StacksA Ravens onslaught seems like the best play here stacking heavily with Baltimore skill players starting with Mark Ingram ($10,400), Ravens DST ($5,800), Marquise Brown ($8,200), Mark Andrews ($8,400), and Justin Tucker ($4,000). Ingram could not get much going last week versus the Bills, but still saw 18 touches and finished second on the team in receiving. The Jets matchup is obviously not ideal for a running back like Ingram who profiles as an in-between the tackles grinder, but he is the running back at home on a team that is favored by more than two touchdowns. This season they have allowed the third-highest percentage of fantasy points to the wide receiver position. Brown is the ultimate boom-bust play with under five fantasy points in three of his last four games. Over the last four weeks, the Jets have allowed the third-most touchdown receptions to wide receivers. Brown leads the team in routes run and receptions over the past three weeks. The Jets are not great versus slot receivers, and Mark Andrews at tight end has played 63.5% of his snaps from the slot this season and leads all receivers and tight ends in yards per route run out the slot via PFF (3.46). Now he is dealing with an injury, but if he is healthy and Jamal Adams is once again sidelined it is wheels up for Andrews in this spot. If Andrews were to miss both Nick Boyle and Hayden Hurst would have to be streaming options. Nick Boyle would have to catch a touchdown as the more unathletic of the two, so the upside play would be with Hurst. If you want to bring back a Baltimore onslaught with a Jets stack I like Sam Darnold ($9,800) paired with Jamison Crowder ($7,800). Baltimore over the past four weeks ranks eighth-best versus the wide receiver position. However, it seems that most successes for some receivers have come from the slot. Crowder has 16 targets over the past two weeks. No Robby Anderson for me. Thursday Night Football DFS – Contrarian Plays If there were ever a slate to fade Lamar Jackson ($13,800) it would be this slate here. Short week, with Jackson on the injury report in a game they should win easily, it just does not seem like a smash spot for Jackson. I almost feel like the Ravens will draw less designed runs for Lamar and instead protect him more. It’s also worth noting that the Jets allow the fewest rushing yards per game (68.5) on the road this season. Their defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has seen Lamar Jackson before in Week 17 last season. However, in that game, Jackson rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns. But that damage was done in the first half. In the second half when Williams was able to make adjustments where he rushed for 23 yards and passed for 75 yards on nine attempts. The Jets DST is only a contrarian play in DFS with the Ravens allowing the fewest fantasy points to the DEF position. They have had more defenses score negative points (four) than score double-digit fantasy points (two).Le’Veon Bell ($9,400) is the best pass-catching running back in this game so I love him as a contrarian play in the Captain’s spot. At this point all we know if that whoever the Jets starting running back will get the majority of at least 15 touches. The Ravens are allowing 5.1 yards per attempt at home this season which is second-highest in the NFL. Devin Singletary was able to do damage versus the Ravens’ defense going over 100 yards from scrimmage on 23 touches.Kicker Tucker at 4K should almost be a lock across all lineups from the fact that he is just really good and the Jets allowed 24 fantasy points to the Dolphins kicker last week.THANK YOU FOR READING. NFLDaily Fantasy Sports Thursday Night Football DFS Week 14 Showdown Preview – Best Values and GPP Stacks Vincent Pensabene 4 years ago written by Vincent Pensabene Welcome to another Thursday night football DFS preview article. I will be covering value and punt plays, favorite stacks, and my contrarian play of the game. So who is ready for some Thursday night action between the Bears and Cowboys? All prices discussed are via DraftKings in their Thursday Night Football DFS Showdown Contest. Sign up NOW for Premium Gold right here! Projections, wagering info, 24/7 expert chats and more!Thursday Night Football DFS – Value and Punt PlaysFor the punt plays on this slate the cheapest you can go to includes Tavon Austin ($1,200) who is coming off his second-best game of the season with five targets. With Tony Pollard questionable and if he were to miss, perhaps we will see more handoffs or end-around to Austin with Jamize Olawale the only other active running back on the Cowboys. The Bears tight end position has been completely irrelevant all season, up until last week until Jesper Horstead ($2,000) found the end zone on Thanksgiving on his only target. He is nothing more than DFS dart-throw punt play on a Thursday night slate. Javon Wims ($3,200) also had his best game of the season last week in the absence of Taylor Gabriel with five receptions on six targets for 56 yards. With the majority leaning towards Anthony Miller ($7,000) Wims provides great salary relief. The Cowboys have allowed the sixth-most red-zone targets to wide receivers this season and are dealing with a plethora of injuries on defense. https://twitter.com/CowboyNationDAL/status/1202302036777287680Thursday Night Football DFS – Favorite StacksWith the Cowboys on the road, I am perfectly fine having lower exposure to Amari Cooper. So may favorite Cowboys stack involves Dak Prescott ($10,800), Ezekiel Elliott ($11,200), and Michael Gallup ($8,200). Cooper’s home/road splits are just so bad with him scoring 27.5 points per game at home and just 8.4 points per game on the road. The Bears have allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points to receivers this season and at home, only Stefon Diggs and Michael Thomas have gone over 100 yards versus them. Then you add-in the Dallas Cowboys DST ($4,400) to complete a Dallas onslaught with them favorites on the road. I prefer them over the Bears because of the Cowboys ranking third-best in turnover giveaways on the road. Start with the Cowboys as the core plays and then bring it back with a few value Bears players. Tarik Cohen ($6,600) is one of my favorites as he will see more work if the Bears are trailing. The Cowboys have allowed the sixth-most receptions to the position this season.Monday Night Football DFS – Contrarian Plays Going heavy on Bears players would be the more contrarian play. Also fading Anthony Miller ($7,000) after his amazing Thanksgiving output will give you some serious leverage at the position. With, Miller potentially being so popular that could suppress ownership for Allen Robinson ($9,600) who is averaging 18.9 fantasy points per game at home. He has not played a home game in which he has scored less than 11 fantasy points. THANK YOU FOR READING. YOU CAN READ SOME OF MY OTHER WORK AND THOUGHTS ON MY AUTHOR PAGE. Daily Fantasy Sports NFL DFS Picks (Week 12 TNF) Andrew Erickson 4 years ago written by Andrew Erickson Welcome to my video that will be released every Thursday. I will be covering value and punt plays, favorite stacks, and my contrarian plays for Thursday night football. So who is ready for some Week 12 Thursday night football action between the Colts and Texans? All prices discussed are via DraftKings in their Thursday night Showdown Slate. Sign up NOW for Premium Gold right here! Projections, wagering info, 24/7 expert chats and more!https://youtu.be/VC_qpOnnRNQThursday Night Football Value and Punt PlaysOne of the best values on this slate is the Colts DST ($3,200). The Colts’ defense has scored at least three sacks or an interception in five straight games making them a safe floor play versus a leaky Texans’ offensive line. The Texans DST ($4,000) is the bigger fade here. They just have one game over ten fantasy points since Week 4 and have totaled five outings of under ten points in the past six weeks. With Brissett under center, the best defensive performance a team has had versus the Colts has been just ten points. Also, wide receiver Keke Coutee ($2,400) could be an interesting punt play if Will Fuller ($7,800) misses as he got back into the mix in Week 11. He ran just six fewer routes than DeAndre Hopkins ($11,000). Favorite StacksDeshaun Watson ($11,600) has a tougher matchup, but he usually bounces back in these types of games. I love stacking him with Hopkins and Fuller if he plays. If Fuller misses swap in Kenny Stills ($6,400). As we have seen from Monday night football and this season as a whole, hamstring injuries can easily be re-injured so you should get even exposure to both Fuller and Stills. Stills went for over 100 yards in their first matchup. Hopkins has a touchdown reception in four straight games versus the Colts and gone over 85 receiving yards in three of his last four games.Jacoby Brissett ($10,400) is great versus the Texans who he absolutely shredded for four touchdowns and 326 passing yards back in Week 7. Brissett is undefeated versus the Texans in his career throwing for seven touchdowns and zero interceptions in his last three games played. However, Hilton played in all those games as well so Brissett would receive a significant downgrade if Hilton cannot go. The Texans matchup is great with them allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to quarterbacks over the past four weeks. One reason to fade Brissett is that is home/road splits significantly favor him at home. He has not scored more than 20 points on the road this season. For a Colts’ stack, this works if T.Y. Hilton ($9,600) plays. In 15 games versus the Texans, Hilton has averaged over 100 yards per game and .7 touchdowns. If Hilton misses Zach Pascal ($8,000) receivers an upgrade. Pascal went for over 100 yards in their last matchup and he saw a career-high in air yards (102) just last week. A less owned target is Marcus Johnson ($4,200). He was second on the team in targets last week (four). Also, he runs a 4.44 and played 92% of the snaps and ran just one less route than Pascal. He was clearly ahead of Chester Rogers. Also, add Eric Ebron ($4,600) to the stack. Ebron has a touchdown reception in his last four games versus the Texans and has seen at least five targets in each contest. The Texans have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to the position over the past two weeks. Week 12 Thursday Night Football Contrarian Plays Most of the ownership is going to gear toward Johnathan Williams ($5,600) after his big game and the injury to Marlon Mack. I for one, prefer the pass-catching back in the captain spot in Nyheim Hines ($6,200). Hines is the best play in Colts backfield in DraftKings scoring. His role always seems to increase when players are injured around him. Last year when Mack missed Weeks 1,3, 4 and 5 Hines saw total targets of nine, eleven, five, and nine. The Texans defense is great versus the run at home where they have allowed just 3.8 yards per attempt. The Texans’ weakness is versus pass-catching running backs. This season no team has allowed more receptions to the running back position than the Texans. Hines best game came back in Week 4 of the 2018 season versus the Texans where he had nine catches for 63 yards and two touchdowns. Adam Vinatieri ($3,600) has been pretty bad this season, but the Colts are averaging 2.2 field goal attempts per game on the road. Ka’imi Fairbairn ($3,800) averages 8.5 DraftKings points per game at home this season. Fairbairn correlates well to high performance from Watson. Whereas Vinatieri negative correlates to high performance from Brissett. Image via Victor Araiza 4 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail

Finding the right player for your captain spot will be especially important to win because if they have a big game and are not owned highly they are the difference-makers to bring home a victory on Thursday night football.Final Takeaways For all the strategies you can use the number one is to buy into a narrative. Remember storytime as a kid? Same concept here. How will the game go in your eyes? Give yourself an idea of how you think the game will go and build your roster in correspondence to the game flow. Check out the full video to get the players I recommend targeting. As a sneak peek some of the players that I am touting for Thursday night football include Case Keenum, Terry McLaurin, Dalvin Cook, Jeremy Sprinkle, Olabisi Johnson, and Adrian Peterson. You also have to love the Vikings DST and Redskins DST in this game. The current FanDuel Sportsbook has the current total at 42 with the Vikings at -16. 4 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
