Daily Fantasy Sports Week One – World Cup – Soccer DFS Richard Masana 10 months ago written by Richard Masana After a four-year hiatus, it is finally time for the return of the World Cup! This year’s World Cup differs from every other World Cup we’ve ever seen as it is normally held during the summer with matches at what we would consider more standard times. The main lock on these slates will be very early by DFS standards at 8:00 A.M. ET. Every day there will be three matches with the same starting times each following another. Similar to what we see in other competitions, lineups should be out for each team approximately an hour before the lock on each game. It is critical to pay attention and allow our lineups as much flexibility as possible. Because the lineups may differ from match to match, it makes it incredibly difficult to accurately predict for DFS purposes. Therefore, we will do our best without actual lineups or for any slates beyond Mondays for now, any of the DraftKings or FanDuel pricing. In addition to the very general breakdowns below, we will be providing more specific advice as lineups drop for each match in the Win Daily Discord, so stay tuned and be on your toes!Monday 11/21 World Cup Match Odds England (-270) vs Iran (+950) Senegal (+550) vs Netherlands (-180)USA (+135) vs Wales (+210)11/21 SOCCER DFS BreakdownEngland should be the chalk of the slate for a number of reasons. They are the top team and biggest favorite on the slate and their game kicks off the slate so we have the certainty of a lineup. On the high-end, Harry Kane will be popular leading the line. Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden look like they will fill out England’s front three and make great pivots off of Kane. If he were healthy, Netherlands Memphis Depay would be Kane’s primary alternative in the upper price range and has a higher floor due to his role on set pieces “corner kicks, free kicks”. I can’t say I’m an expert on how his absence will shake up the Dutch. However, Vincent Janssen is projected to lead the Netherlands line so at $7,100 I certainly have some interest at anyone in that role at such a relatively low cost. The next place I’m plugging players in is at the defender position as I look for some wing defenders with high floors. We will have to see how England’s lineup shakes out but the likes of Kieran Trippier or Trent Alexander-Arnold if the latter draws the start, will be popular options. I feel like a traitor to my country suggesting him but Neco Williams has been a monster at the club level. As a result, William’s price seems very fair at $5,800 with him in more of a midfield role. Both anticipated American wing defenders Antonee Robinson and Sergino Dest also help fill out lineups without killing the budget. Tuesday 11/22 World Cup Match Odds Denmark (-270) vs Tunisia (+650) Mexico (+190) vs Poland (+190)France (-350) vs Australia (+1100)11/22 SOCCER DFS BreakdownI will generally be fading both Australia and Tunisia unless I really need the salary savings somewhere. My favorite play from this group of matches is Denmark’s Christian Eriksen. He truly is the lifeblood of the Danish team, handling all set pieces and penalty kicks. From there, you can pick one of his Denmark running mates up top or turn to the French. Expect any French attackers who start to be popular with Kylian Mbappe the chalkiest and Antoine Greizmann, Kingsley Coman, and Oliver Giroud “we will have to see the price” running behind him.Perhaps the best contrarian value can be found in the Poland/Mexico matchup. This match is a tossup odds-wise but features some prominent offensive stars on both sides, particularly that of the Polish. If building multiple lines it might be wise to take one high-end build and then weave in Poland and do the same on another with Mexico. Once again we will have to see pricing when it comes out, but I’d expect no bargains to be found anywhere in the other two matches so I will keep my eyes on this one. Wednesday 11/23 World Cup Match Odds Germany (-210) vs Japan (+550) Spain (-575) vs Costa Rica (+1500) Belgium (-200) vs Canada (+550)11/23 SOCCER DFS BreakdownThe only underdog I think has a shot here is Canada so unless I really need some punts, Japan and Costa Rica can be faded. I will probably want to start off with hard looks at Belgium midfielder Kevin De Bruyne and Germany midfielder Joshua Kimmich. I would prioritize the former of the two but he will undoubtedly come at a much higher cost. Both are tremendous sources of set-piece points and assists. KDB also has a little bit of goal-scoring upside as well. As far as the strikers/forwards go, I will probably be eyeing Spain assuming that the prices of guys such as Alvaro Morata, Fernan Torres, and Pablo Sarabia come in a bit cheaper than their Belgian and German counterparts. Costa Rica was a relatively strong defensive team in qualifying. However, this is a whole different ballgame and Spain is a -550 favorite. Thursday 11/24 World Cup Match Odds Uruguay (-125) vs South Korea (+390) Portugal (-275) vs Ghana (+800) Brazil (-230) vs Serbia (+600)11/24 SOCCER DFS BreakdownI don’t see myself having much interest in either South Korea or Ghana here but Serbia does have some solid attackers for a +600 favorite. In very large field tournaments, a mini Serbia stack might be in play for a shot at a takedown “you can probably eat some chalk with this”. Portugal will likely get the highest ownership as the biggest favorite and with some heavy name recognition. However, I could see a higher-scoring affair in the late match, so I don’t mind Brazil pivots in tournaments. Neymar will be popular no matter what but don’t sleep on DFS machine Raphinha. Friday 11/25 World Cup Match Odds Qatar (+245) vs Senegal (+120) England (-170) vs USA (+500)The Netherlands (-150) vs Ecuador (+450)11/25 SOCCER DFS BreakdownThis reminds me a bit of the Monday slate in the respect that we’re generally looking at England and the Netherlands again. However, I don’t mind trying to get a little sneaky with Senegal. I expect all of these matches to likely be low-scoring affairs/go under totals. Ideally, Memphis Depay will be back by this match as I think this is the sort of slate you can drop him in as your starting point/anchor and take it from there.Make sure to hop in our Expert Discord Chat for FREE! Daily Fantasy SportsEnglish Premiere League 10/1 EPL DraftKings FanDuel Soccer DFS Richard Masana 12 months ago written by Richard Masana It has been quite a while since we had a normal EPL Saturday. There were multiple slates canceled following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, followed by an international break. However, the Premier League has finally returned and we have you covered for what should be at least a thorough if not truly exciting DFS slate.Saturday 10/1 EPL Match Odds Brentford (+120) at Bournemouth (+235) Chelsea (-120) at Crystal Palace (+340)Newcastle (+135) at Fulham (+205)Brighton (+750) at Liverpool (-280)Everton (+250) at Southampton (+115)Wolves (+310) at West Ham (-105) – FANDUEL Only10/1 EPL Top PlaysForward DraftKings ForwardPierre-Emerick Aubameyang – Chelsea – $4,900 – Some of these Chelsea guys are just too cheap so I’ll start off on the low end. I think at that price you just jam in what should be chalk Aubameyang. If looking elsewhere, Luis Diaz is the cheapest of the three projected Liverpool favorites who really are all about the same. Elsewhere, it’s definitely strange taking a forward playing for the biggest underdog on the slate, with little goal-scoring upside “despite a very rare brace early in the season”. However, if looking for safe points, Brighton’s Pascal Gros is certainly in play. FanDuel Forward/MidfielderMohammed Salah – Liverpool – $22 – Over on FanDuel, all of the Liverpool forwards are within a dollar or two in regards to price. With precious little to spend up on, this is where we can get some exposure to Mo Salah without comprising our lineup as much. Pivots:DraftKings – Neal Maupay – Everton – $5,700 “low-end”, Luis Diaz – Liverpool – $7,900 “mid-range”, Mohammed Salah – Liverpool – $9,300 “high-end”, Pascal Gros – Brighton – $9,100 “high-end”FanDuel – Pascal Gros – Brighton – $16 “low-end”, Mattias Jensen – Brentford – $14 “low-end”, Luis Diaz – Liverpool “mid-range”, Ivan Toney – Brentford – $20 “mid-range”, Darwin Nunez – Liverpool – $21 “high-end”, Alex Mitrovic – Fulham – $21 “high-end” Midfielder “DraftKings Only”DraftKings MidfielderDemarai Gray – Everton – $6,800 – This is a solid matchup for Everton in a game that should feature goals. Given Grays’s floor relative to price, he is my first man in here. Looking at the game logs he has likely been a bit unfortunate in the goal/assist columns as well. Perhaps some positive regression will be in store on Saturday. Pivots: DraftKings – Kai Havertz – Chelsea – $5,100 “low-end”, Mathias Jensen – Brentford – $5,600 “mid-range”, James Ward-Prowse – Southampton – $9,400 “high-end”DraftKings DefenderTrent Alexander-Arnold – Liverpool– $6,100 – At this price, Trent Alexander-Arnold is a lock. He’s playing for the slate’s largest favorite with a considerable price drop from his salary range for at least the past year or so. Aside from one match against Everton where he was subbed out early, he has had double-digit DraftKings points in every match this season. Pivots: Kieran Trippier – Newcastle – $6,700 “high-end”, Kenny Tete – Fulham – $5,300 “mid-range”, Aaron Hickey – Brentford – $4,200 “low-end” FanDuel Defender Aaron Hickey – Brentford – $7 – There is no one else projected to start under $8 and we get great value with Hickey. Not only is he the cheapest option but has had double-digits FanDuel points or close in his last three matches. Now he gets to draw a decent matchup away at Bournemouth. Pivots: Anyone cheap, punt positionDraftKings/FanDuel GoalieAllison – Liverpool – $5,800/$14 – Liverpool’s defense has looked really shaky at times. Nevertheless, Allison has clean sheets in two of his last three matches, including a four-save effort against Everton. If you need additional DraftKings or FanDuel salary, he isn’t a must roster by any means. Just make sure your goalie correlates with your lineup. Pivot: Bernd Leno – Fulham -$4,700/$9EPL Top BetsBet One: Liverpool/Brighton – Both Teams to Score – (-110) – 0.75 UnitsBet Two: Fulham Draw No Bet (+123 Bet Rivers/+115 ) – 0.5 UnitsBet Three: Fulham ML (+215 Bet Rivers/+205 ) – 0.25 UnitsBet Four: Everton Draw No Bet (+155 Bet Rivers/+140 ) – 0.33 UnitsBet Five: Double Chance – Everton or Tie (-134 Bet Rivers/-150 ) – 0.66 UnitsMake sure to hop in our Expert Discord Chat for FREE! Daily Fantasy SportsUEFA Champions League 9/14 UCL DraftKings FanDuel Soccer DFS Jeremy "Muntradamus" Munter 1 year ago written by Jeremy "Muntradamus" Munter It is time to once again travel to Europe and enjoy the biggest soccer club tournament in the world.Welcome to the Second Match Day of the Champion’s League Group Stage! The second slate of the season for these 4 groups sees plenty of close matchups with one heavy favorite in Israel. The DraftKings slate will also see the addition of the Napoli at Rangers game that was moved from Tuesday to Wednesday.Wednesday 9/14 UCL Match Odds RB Salzburg (+700) at Chelsea (-280) RB Leipzig (+425) at Real Madrid (-180)Sevilla (+110) at FC Copenhagen(+260)Dortmund (+1100) at Manchester City (-525) Benfica (+225) at Juventus (+125)PSG (-650) at Maccabi Haifa (+1500)Napoli (-115) at Rangers (+295)9/14 UCL Top PlaysForward DraftKings ForwardKylian Mbappé – PSG – $12,800 – PSG is the biggest favorite of the slate for a reason. Mbappé started off the group stage scoring 2 goals on 6 shots and finishing off the slate with 36.16DK. These numbers were against a powerhouse in Juventus, he should be able to put up even better numbers against an outmatched Maccabi Haifa squad. His teammates Neymar $12,100 and Lionel Messi $10,900 are also in play.FanDuel Forward Erling Haaland – Manchester City – $22 – I don’t think Erling Haaland could have written a better start to his career at City. Through 8 official games, Haaland has produced 12 goals and 1 assist including scoring a brace in the opening group stage match against Sevilla. This game will also mark Haaland’s first game against his former team Dortmund.Pivots:DraftKings – Arkadiusz Milik – Juventus – $4,800 “low-end”, Eden Hazard – Real Madrid – $5,500 “mid-range”, Erling Haaland- Manchester City – $11,600 “high-end”FanDuel – Youssef En-Nesyri – Sevilla – $18 “low-end”, Vinicius Junior – Real Madrid – $20 “mid-range”, Neymar – PSG – $21 “high-end” Midfielder and FanDuel Second Forward/MidfielderDraftKings MidfielderPiotr Zielinski – Napoli – $8,700 – With the Napoli at Rangers game being moved to Wednesday, we get the pleasure of playing one of the best midfielders on DraftKings. In the opening game against Liverpool, Zielinski proved why he is considered a top-tier Serie A player. He finished the game with 2 goals and an assist while scoring 34DK which was second best on a slate filled with elite talent. He gets a much easier matchup against Rangers, who struggled to keep up with Ajax losing the game 4-0.FanDuel Second Forward/MidfielderKevin De Bruyne – Manchester City – $20 – De Bruyne might be the best midfielder in the world at the moment. To start the season he is averaging a total of 4 chances created per 90 minutes which leads the team. KDB should have plenty of chances to create opportunities for his teammates in what will surely be a back-and-forth game against DortmundPivots: DraftKings – Weston McKennie – Juventus – $4000 “low-end”, Phil Foden – Manchester City – $8,500 “mid-range”, Vinicius Junior – Real Madrid- $9,300 “high-end”. FanDuel – Julian Brandt – Dortmund – $14 “low-end”, Timo Werner – RB Leipzig – $16 “mid-range”, Mason Mount – Chelsea – $19 “high-end” DraftKings DefenderSergio Ramos – PSG – $3,100 – With PSG being heavy favorites this is the perfect spot to pay down a bit and take a defender with attacking upside from set pieces and a high chance of a clean sheet bonus. Similarly, his teammate Achraf Hakimi $5,600 has the attacking and clean sheet upside, but at a significantly higher price.Pivots:Wesley Fofana – Chelsea – $3,600 “low-end”, Daniel Carvajal – Real Madrid – $4,500 “mid-range”, João Cancelo – Manchester City – $6,100 “high-end” FanDuel Defender Reece James – Chelsea – $14– Reece James is a midfielder in a defender’s body. James sits second on the team in chances created only behind their creative midfielder Mason Mount who is only 1 ahead of him. A positive for James is that RB Salzburg is a team that attacks a lot so he will have plenty of space to get in behind the defense and put some crosses in.Pivots: Achraf Hakimi – PSG – $14, Antonio Rüdiger – Real Madrid – $10 “low-end”DraftKings/FanDuel GoalieGianluigi Donnarumma – PSG – $5,900/$15 – Donnarumma should not face many shots this game, with Maccabi Haifa only managing two shots on goal in their opening group stage match. The upside for the Italian keeper is the clean sheet and win bonuses that should come easy for him this game.Pivot: Thibaut Courtois – Real Madrid -$5,600/$12, Alex Meret- Napoli – $5,400 (DK Only)UCL Top BetBet – Parlay – Real Madrid ML/ Napoli ML/ Chelsea ML (+291) DraftKings – 1 Unit Make sure to hop in our Expert Discord Chat for FREE! Daily Fantasy SportsUEFA Champions League 9/13 UCL DraftKings FanDuel Soccer DFS Richard Masana 1 year ago written by Richard Masana It was a shocking first week as the Champion’s League returned but what will MatchWeek Two have in store? Unlike last week, we do not have many large favorites on the slate. The largest money line favorite is Porto at -255 followed by a very shaky-looking Liverpool side at -195. Without further adieu, we will dig into the odds, cover the top DFS plays position-by-position and provide betting analysis. Tuesday 9/13 UCL Match Odds Atletico Madrid (+145) at Bayer Leverkusen (+195) Barcelona (+285) at Bayern Munich (-130)Club Brugge (+700) at FC Porto (-255)Ajax (+450) at Liverpool (-195) Eintracht Frankfurt (+275) at Marseille (+100)Napoli (-120) at Rangers (+320)9/13 UCL Top PlaysForward DraftKings ForwardMohammed Salah – Liverpool – $9,000 – We also have the option of Robert Lewandowski in a “revenge” match with his former team Bayern Munich. However, given his $11,900 price tag, I think it is a lot to pay for his role in a match where I doubt he will be scoring as many goals as last week when Barcelona was a -1400 money line favorite. Mohammed Salah much like Liverpool has been off to an awful start this season. Their defense is truly as atrocious as it has looked. However, there should be some offensive regression coming here. I expect this to be a relatively open game and Salah has been contributing enough chances and shots that he is due to find a net a couple of times. FanDuel Forward Robert Lewandowski – Barcelona – $21 – With the prices flipped on FanDuel and Mohammed Salah more expensive than Lewandowski, think this is where we play him. It is important to note that Barcelona are underdogs here. However, the Bayern defense has been far from perfect. Furthermore, if there was ever anyone who knew how to exploit Bayerns defense, I’d put money on this man, who spent the better part of the last decade practicing with them. Pivots:DraftKings – Evanilson/Toni Martinez -Porto – $4,700/$4,100 “low-end”, Raphinha – Barcelona- $7,600 “mid-range”, Darwin Nunez – Liverpool – $8,800 “high-end”FanDuel – Sadio Mane – Bayern Munich – $18 “low-end”, Darwin Nunez – Liverpool – $21 “mid-range”, Mohammed Salah – Liverpool – $22 “high-end” Midfielder and FanDuel Second Forward/MidfielderDraftKings MidfielderOtavio “Questionable”/Matius Uribe – Porto – $5,200/$3,700 – Porto as mentioned at the very top of the article is the largest favorite on the slate. That said, the forwards are certainly cheap but neither is awe-inspiring. I still think they make for fine punts on this slate, as noted by their inclusion under “low-end” above. However, if healthy Otavio has the majority role on set pieces and serves as the preferred penalty taker. With a very affordable $5,200 price tag, Otavio may be the best Porto play on DraftKings if in. That said, he was badly hurt on Wednesday so may be out although has not been ruled out for the match as of the time of writing. Should he sit, Matius Uribe will likely assume his role. If that is the case we also pocket an extra $1,500 savings but either way both are underpriced. FanDuel Second Forward/MidfielderJoshua Kimmich – Bayern Munich – $16 – This is a lot more affordable than Kimmich’s $10,000 DraftKings price. Given his role as Bayern’s primary set-piece taker along with FanDuel price, Kimmich is a cash game lock and should be very popular in all FanDuel formats. Pivots: DraftKings – Raphinha – Barcelona – $7,600 “low-end”, Piotr Zielinski – Napoli – $9,800 “mid-range”, Joshua Kimmich – Bayern Munich – $10,000 “high-end”. FanDuel – Mateus Uribe – Porto – $15 “low-end”, Joshua Kimmich – Bayern Munich – $16 “mid-range”, Pietr Zielinski – Napoli- $20 “high-end” DraftKings DefenderTrent Alexander-Arnold – Liverpool – $6,500 – Often seen at a much higher cost on EPL slates, Liverpool’s primary set piece taker seems like a core piece on this slate. Despite Liverpool getting destroyed in MatchWeek One, TAA still managed 18.5 DraftKings points solely off of peripheral stats. Pivots:Hector Bellerin/Alejandro Balde – Barcelona – $3,800/$2,800 “low-end”, Alphonso Davies- Bayern Munich – $5,300 “mid-range”, Kostas Tsimakas – Liverpool – $6,200 “high-end” FanDuel Defender Trent Alexander-Arnold – Liverpool – $15 – I hate to spend up on defense on FanDuel. However, it makes more sense on this slate than on most. Stars and Scrubs today seems like a losing strategy with so many question marks surrounding some of the spend ups. Pivots: Daley Blind – Ajax – $9, Denis Odoi – Club Brugge – $8DraftKings/FanDuel GoalieAlex Meret – Napoli – $5,500/$12 – Off to a strong start this season and playing behind a much-improved defense. Pivot: Diego Costa – Porto -$6,100/$14UCL Top BetBet – Club Brugge or Draw – Double Chance (+200/+180) Bet Rivers/DraftKings – 0.5 Units – The +1.5 is safer but at -160 on DraftKings, it lacks juice. If choosing between the two I think you pop a half unit on the double chance “maybe match it with the +1.5”. A -235 for Porto here just seems a little fishy particularly if down Otavio. The first slate of the season for these 4 groups sees plenty of close matches with one heavy favorite in Barcelona. Barcelona should win this game by a good amount of goals, and Dembélé will be involved in the score sheet by either scoring or assisting the 2nd highest-priced forward on this slate Robert Lewandowski $11,200.FanDuel Forward Robert Lewandowsi – Barcelona – $24 – As mentioned with Dembélé, Barcelona comes into this game as heavy favorites. So far this season the team has scored 11 goals with the man nicknamed LewanGOALski netting 5 of them. With the favorable matchup, he has the potential to dictate the slate like Haaland and Mbappé did on Tuesday.Pivots:DraftKings – Ferrán Jutglà – Club Brugge – $4,200 “low-end”, Lautaro Martinez – Inter Milan – $6,300 “mid-range”, Harry Kane – Tottenham – $12,600 “high-end”FanDuel – Hirving Lozano – Napoli – $14 “low-end”, Alvaro Morata – Atletico Madrid – $19 “mid-range”, Harry Kane – Tottenham – $21 “high-end” Midfielder and FanDuel Second Forward/MidfielderDraftKings MidfielderPiotr Zielinski – Napoli – $8,200 – The Napoli midfielder could have not asked for a better start to the season than the one he has had in the team’s first 5 Serie A games. Through the first 5 games of the season, Zielinski scored a goal and assisted 3, with an average of 4.5 chances created per 90 minutes.FanDuel Second Forward/MidfielderThomas Müller – Bayern Munich – $19 – I love this spot for Müller at a discount compared to the top of the slate. This should be a back-and-forth match with both teams creating chances. Müller comes into this game with the second most chances created on his team as well as a goal and 2 assists.Pivots: DraftKings – Andreas Skov Olsen – Club Brugge – $3,100 “low-end”, Joshua Kimmich – Bayern Munich – $7,500 “mid-range”, Mohamed Salah – Liverpool – $9,300 “high-end”. FanDuel – Andreas Skov Olsen – Club Brugge – $15 “low-end”, Luis Diaz – Liverpool – $19 “mid-range”, Harry Kane – Tottenham – $21 “high-end” DraftKings DefenderAlphonso Davies – Bayern Munich – $5,300 – The Bayern defender doesn’t have the best chances to grab the valuable clean sheet bonus, but with the potential back and forth game between Inter and Bayern, he will have plenty of attacking opportunities to make up for it. His counterpart to the right Benjamin Pavard $4800 is also in play. Both average just under 2 chances created per 90 minutes. Pivots:Jules Koundé/Gerard Piqué – Barcelona – $4,000/$3,000 “low-end”, Nahuel Molina – Atletico Madrid – $5,800 “mid-range”, Trent Alexander-Arnold – Liverpool – $6,600 “high-end” FanDuel Defender Ivan Perisic – Tottenham – $14– The midfielder who gets listed as a wingback on FanDuel has been creating many scoring opportunities for his team. You can the best of both worlds with him on this slate, he can produce points attacking while also having the possibility of getting the clean sheet bonus against Marseille. Pivots: Alphonso Davies – Bayern Munich – $14, Nahuel Molina – Atletico Madrid – $9 “low-end”DraftKings/FanDuel GoalieMarc-Andre ter Stegen – Barcelona – $6,000/$15 – ter Stegen is not going to face many shots from Plzen but he easily has the best clean sheet and win odds on the slate. You can also plug in Arnau Torres if he starts instead of ter Stegen.Pivot: Simon Mignolet – Club Brugge -$4,600/$9, Jan Oblak- Atletico Madrid – $5,400/ $12UCL Top BetBet – Parlay – Tottenham ML/ Atletico Madrid “Draw No Bet” (+104) DraftKings – 1 Unit Make sure to hop in our Expert Discord Chat for FREE! English Premiere League 9/3 EPL DraftKings FanDuel Soccer DFS Richard Masana 1 year ago written by Richard Masana It’s time for EPL Matchweek Six and we have the biggest slate this entire season to look forward to.That said, there are not a ton of superstars on the DraftKings slate. On FanDuel, Manchester City joins the mix, adding a twist over there. Saturday 9/3 EPL Match Odds Leeds United (+240) at Brentford (+115) West Ham (+500) at Chelsea (-180)Crystal Palace (+275) at Newcastle (+105)Bournemouth (+285) at Nottingham Forest (+105) Fulham (+550) at Tottenham (-205)Southampton (+230) at Wolves (+125)Manchester City (-320) at Aston Villa (+800) – FanDuel only9/3 EPL Top PlaysForward DraftKings ForwardAlexander Isak – Newcastle – $6,600 – We’re used to usually spending up here. However, Alexander Isak arrives in Newcastle highly regarded and already added to his EPL goal account in his debut in Anfield facing Liverpool. He should likely start for a much easier matchup hosting Crystal Palace. Morgan Gibbs-White is another option in this price range providing solid value at the forward position. Over the last two matches, Gibbs-White has taken over set-piece duties for Nottingham Forest. I think it would be fair to give him a writeoff for last week’s matchup versus Manchester City. FanDuel Forward Erling Haaland – Manchester City – $24 – It is f*cking Haaland and Man City is a -340 favorite. The only reason not to play him is leverage in a large tournament hoping that he busts or doesn’t play and people don’t late swap/swap poorly. I will have AT LEAST two Man City guys in my lineups or at least all cash and head-to-head.Pivots:DraftKings – Patrick Bamford – $4,900 “low-end”, Morgan Gibbs-White – $6,100 “mid-range”, Harry Kane – Tottenham – $10,500 “high-end”FanDuel – Pedro Neto – Wolves – FD, Riyad Mahrez – Manchester City – $17 “mid-range”, Harry Kane – Tottenham – $22 “high-end” Midfielder and FanDuel Second Forward/MidfielderDraftKings MidfielderJack Harrison – Leeds United – $8,400 – Harrison has seemingly taken over set pieces for Leeds and also has open field scoring upside. It’s not the world’s best matchup for Leeds, but he has a lot of ways to rack up points. FanDuel Second Forward/MidfielderRiyad Mahrez – Manchester City – $17 – Just too cheap and what can I say in DFS, especially now, it’s Man City for life. Between him and Haaland if one is out you should be able to swap, leave a couple of bucks if you want though. Pivots: DraftKings – Mathias Jensen – Brentford – $6,400, James Ward-Prowse – Southampton – $8,200FanDuel – Phil Foden – Manchester City – $19, Wilfried Zaha – Crystal Palace – $20DraftKings DefenderNeco Williams – Nottingham Forest – $6,100 – Neco Williams is just stuffing the stat sheet right now. This must be the juiciest matchup that Nottingham Forest has had all season as for the first time they’re favored!Pivots: Matt Targett – Newcastle – $5,200, Aaron Cresswell – West Ham – $4,400 FanDuel Defender Aaron Hickey – Brentford – $7 – Haaland doesn’t come free so we have to slum it as much as possible at the defense spot. Hopefully, one day this season we get a $5 defenseman after lineups. Pivots: Ezri Konza – Aston Villa – $8 “Villa should get blasted so lots of clearances”, Anyone cheap DraftKings/FanDuel GoalieNeto – Bournemouth – $4,300/$8 – Those who slummed it with our pivot goalie Neto last week were rewarded. This week he has an even easier matchup despite the Cherries being the road underdog. Pivot: David Raya – Brentford -$5,000/$11EPL Top BetBet – Nottingham Forest/Bournemouth – U 2.5 Goals (-145) Bet MGM – 1 Unit -“Ideally should be a snoozer hopefully help us get a goalie clean sheet”. English Premiere League Soccer DFS: English Premier League 8/30 Matt Vecchio 1 year ago written by Matt Vecchio Welcome to the first mid-week slate of the EPL season! This article will review my top plays at each position to help you build a winning lineup. Soccer DFS: Game OverviewHome (Proj goals)Visitor (Proj goals)Fulham (1.19)Brighton (1.42)Crystal Palace (1.44)Brentford (1.16)Southampton (1.05)Chelsea (1.92)Leeds (1.58)Everton (1.19)This slate shapes up to be an extremely low-scoring affair and we are doubtful to see another 9-goal outburst from a team on Tuesday. Chelsea is the only team projected to score close to two goals, and they’re the biggest favorite on the slate. Even with all that said, you won’t see me touting the Blues much in this article (I do like a couple of guys though). Outside of Chelsea, the Leeds/Everton game is my favorite game on this slate. SOCCER DFS: Forwards/MidfieldersFor me, paying up twice at forward is not something I want to do. There are a couple of good high-priced plays in Raheem Sterling ($10,200) and Aleksandar Mitrovic ($9,400) but they might have a hard time hitting value. A better option, if you want to pay up, is Pascal Gross ($9,700) from Brighton. Gross may be more expensive than Mitrovic, but he has a safer floor and that’s the type of play I want on this slate. With there not being too many goals expected on this slate, we want to find players with safe floors. Another forward that is a little pricey is Eberchi Eze ($8,000). Eze takes set pieces for Palace so he has a big upside, but there is a catch here with Nigerian. If Michael Olise ($5,900) starts in the midfield for Crystal Palace he hurts Eze’s upside because he will take half of his set pieces away. Olise is actually a good play if he is in the lineup on Tuesday and will be in a few of my builds. There are a plethora of good, inexpensive forwards and midfielders on this slate:Even though Southampton is the biggest underdog, they have a few options up front and in the midfield that are cheap and make for great value. Joe Aribo ($3,500) is M/F eligible and projects as one of the highest-scoring value plays on the slate. Sekou Mara ($4,800) is another sub-$5K value play that offers upside from SouthamptonIf Neal Maupay ($3,900) starts for Everton, he is my favorite play in the under $4K range. Maupay will most likely be popular, but I am still going here. In that same game, Danny James ($5,000) from Leeds is another forward I have an interest in. Sticking with Leeds/Everton game, both Jack Harrison ($8,300) and Brenden Aaronson ($6,000) are good plays in the midfield for Leeds, while Anthony Gordon ($7,700) and Demari Gray ($7,500) are solid upside plays from Everton. Now, let’s move on to Chelsea. Kai Havertz ($6,700) is my favorite play not on the backline for the Blues. Havertz is honestly too cheap for his upside. Unfortunately, there isn’t much else I want from my favorite club. I know I threw A LOT at you all, so let me try and simplify it:Pick a top-priced play at forward, my favorites are Gross and Eze, and pair them with a cheap forward. Maupay or James would be my top plays there. In the midfield, play two players in the $5K range. There is no need to pay up for someone like James Ward-Prowse in my opinion. There are two guys I did not mention that I plan to play a lot of, Andreas Pereria ($5,700) and Solly March ($5,400). Soccer DFS: DefendersI am all about paying up for the Chelsea wingbacks in this matchup. Ben Chilwell ($6,300) and Reece James ($8,100) are in great spots and are well worth paying up for. It’s because of these two plays that I suggest staying in the $5K range on midfield and playing one cheap forward with a high-priced guy. If Chilwell doesn’t start, but Marc Cucurella ($6,800) does he is a fine replacement. If you want to play three defenders, I am just fine with that, and Pervis Estupinan ($5,200) is a good option from Brighton. Rasmus Kristensen ($3,500) is my favorite cheap option and in that same game, Ruben Vinagre ($4,300) from Everton. SOCCER DFS: GoalkeepersIf you want to pay up for the top keeper on the slate in Edouard Mundy ($5,700) then by all means do it. I do not plan on having much, if any, of Mendy because I feel like he’s too expensive for a goalie who is unlikely to keep a clean sheet. I would prefer to save $700 and go with Robert Sanchez ($5,000) for Brighton. Sanchez is averaging the most DKFP P/90 of any keeper on the slate. Both goalies in the Palace/Brentford game are also in play for me. Remember to check lineups after 2 pm eastern to make sure the players you want to use are in the starting XI. I will try and be in discord to answer questions and post any players I like that may be in lineups. Make sure to hop in our Expert Discord Chat for FREE! English Premiere League 8/31 EPL DraftKings FanDuel Soccer DFS Richard Masana 1 year ago written by Richard Masana Here we go, it’s time for the second half of the back-to-back of our first mid-week EPL slate of the season. There are five matches and for the second time in a row, both Liverpool and Manchester City share the slate. Without any further adieu, let’s dig in!Wednesday 8/31 EPL Match Odds Wolves (+115) at Bournemouth (+260) Aston Villa (+600) at Arsenal (-220)Nottingham Forest (+2200) at Manchester City (-1200)Tottenham (+100) at West Ham (+265) Newcastle (+900) at Liverpool (-350)8/31 EPL Top PlaysDraftKings/FanDuel Forward Phil Foden – Manchester City – $8,700/$19 – For a slight dip in price from any of the other regular projected starting forwards on the top two teams, it makes sense to settle on Foden. He is getting the lesser split of set pieces with Kevin De Bruyne but perhaps has more open-field potential than his set-piece counterpart. By comparison, All three of the Liverpool forwards cost more and are goal or nothing in terms of their scoring nature. Furthermore, City has a much better matchup than Liverpool. As far as Foden’s City counterparts Haaland is always in play but with his price likely tournament only. Of note, young forward Julian Alvarez may be debuting for Man City and at $5,900 if in, even if subbed early, he should be a cash lock for your second forward spot and a great way to save money at the position. Pivots:DraftKings – Julian Alvarez – Manchester City – $5,900 “PUNT”, Luis Diaz – Liverpool – $9,100, Mohammed Salah – Liverpool – $9,900, DraftKings, Harry Kane – Tottenham – $9,700FanDuel – Harry Kane – Tottenham – $20, Luis Diaz – Liverpool – $19, Mohammed Salah – Liverpool – $21, Gabriel Jesus – Arsenal – $19, Julian Alvarez – Manchester City – $16DraftKings/FanDuel MidfielderKevin De Bruyne – Manchester City – $10,400/$19 – For a second consecutive slate, De Bruyne ranks as the top midfielder. Manchester City comes in a whopping -1200 money line favorite hosting promoted side, Nottingham Forest. Between his role on set pieces and chances of adding an assist/goal, once again he will be popular. It’s really a matter of how the City and Liverpool lineups shake out. Pivots: DraftKings – Marcus Tavernier – Bournemouth – $4,500 “Punt”, Bukayo Saka – Arsenal – $7,100FanDuel – Phil Foden – Manchester City – $20, Bukayo Saka – Arsenal – $17DraftKings DefenderKieran Tierney – Arsenal – $4,400 – We need some savings to make things work. Kiernan Tierney is working his way back into fitness but is projected to start as of the time of writing. Given his role as a wing defender for -220 money line favorite Arsenal, this is a solid value. Pivots: Trent Alexander-Arnold – Liverpool – $7,600, Jonny – Wolves – $4,700, Aaron Cresswell – West Ham – $4,800, Vladimir Coufal – West Ham – $4,200FanDuel Defender Scott McKenna – Nottingham Forest – $8 – You can rack up a lot of points on FanDuel as a central defender with your team under fire. That is the objective here and hopefully, the clearances are many. I also like Kieran Tierney for $8 as very cheap “don’t mind the game logs on FanDuel, three of those matches he only played ten minutes or less”. Pivots: Kieran Tierney – Arsenal – $8, John Stones – Manchester City – $8, Joe Gomez – Liverpool – $8DraftKings/FanDuel GoalieEderson – Manchester City – $6,000/$15 – City is an insane favorite on this slate so you either pay up or go all the way down. On FanDuel, I think you spend for the certainty and if you have the $ on DraftKings, just do it. Pivot: Neto – Bournemouth – $4,300 – He will be making his EPL debut after arriving from Barcelona and Wolves are no offensive powerhouse. If fading City or Liverpool attackers, you can roll with Dean Henderson or Nick Pope but I see that more as a tournament-only tactic and only under those circumstances. EPL Top BetBet- Tottenham “Draw No Bet” (-210)/Liverpool ML (-340) – (-110 total odds) DraftKings – 1 Unit Make sure to hop in our Expert Discord Chat for FREE! English Premiere League 8/20 EPL DraftKings FanDuel Soccer DFS Richard Masana 1 year ago written by Richard Masana We return for MatchWeek Three of the EPL season. Unlike the last two slates so far this season, we do not have any heavy favorites, at least on the DraftKings slate. As a result, we won’t feel compelled to have as much as exposure as possible to any one team as we did last week with Manchester City. Without any expensive stars to force in aside from James Maddison “more below”, this is the sort of slate where a balanced approach seems like the best idea. The addition of the late game on FanDuel where Arsenal is a -245 money line favorite certainly adds a layer to the slate on that site. Saturday 8/20 EPL Match Odds Aston Villa (+190) at Crystal Palace (+155) Nottingham Forest (+310) at Everton (-105)Brentford (+190) at Fulham (+145)Southampton (+319) at Leicester City (-120) Arsenal (-245) at Bournemouth (+650) “FanDuel only“8/20 EPL Top PlaysDraftKings/FanDuel Forward Ivan Toney – Brentford – $8,400/$18 – It’s a close call here particularly on DraftKings. However, my lean is towards the scoring acumen of Ivan Toney despite the plus odds matchup. Former Burnley man Dwight McNeil would be my second choice as Everton has a better matchup facing Nottingham Forest and McNeil should grab some corners. However, he is more of a cash play given Toney’s higher goal scoring prowess. On FanDuel, the pendulum swings farther towards Toney. Pivots: DraftKings – Dwight McNeil – Everton – $7,900, DraftKings – Joe Aribo – Southampton – $4,200FanDuel – Gabriel Jesus – Arsenal – $22, Gabriel Martinelli – Arsenal – $20 “and yes, it’s crazy they have the same first name, play for the same team as forwards”, Wilfried Zaha – Crystal Palace – $18DraftKings/FanDuel MidfielderJames Maddison – Leicester City – $10,200/$19 – Once an EPL DFS superstar, James Maddison’s stock has taken a bit of a hit over the last few years. However, as of the last six months or so, he is back in prime form and gets a tasty matchup against a defensively porous Southampton team. Maddison has regained a monopoly on Leicester City’s set pieces giving him a high DraftKings floor in particular but we get a bit of a discount on him to offset on FanDuel. He can still rack up the FanDuel points with chances created and assists “as well as the occassional shot on goal/goal”. Leicester City and Maddison should be flying high at the King Power Stadium as -120 moneyline favorites. Pivots: DraftKings – Mathias Jensen – Brentford -$5,800, DraftKings – Demarai Gray – Everton – $6,700FanDuel – Mathias Jensen – Brentford – $14, FanDuel – Bukayo Saka – Arsenal – $19, FanDuel – Dwight McNeil – Everton – $15DraftKings DefenderNeco Williams – Nottingham Forest – $5,700 – Lucas Digne is rarely ignored when it comes to filling your lineup with high-end DraftKings defenders. However, at $6,800 he feels overpriced for his production. Particularly when we can take a shot on Neco Williams for $1,100 less. The former Liverpool youth/backup is finally getting regular playing time with Nottingham Forest and his exact role over the longterm is a mystery. However, if his last match with 22.1 floor points “no goals or assists” is any indication, perhaps a DFS star is born? He seems be taking most if not all the corners for Nottingham and setting some of the pace on offense. Nottingham Forest are underdogs once again but Everton are the least intimidating of the EPL teams they have faced to date. Pivot: Lucas Digne – Aston Villa- $6,800, James Justin – Leicester City – $4,200FanDuel Defender Awful position on the FanDuel slate so I think the best bet here is to punt with one of the $8 defensemen. At the moment they are the cheapest projected to start but if someone pops up in a starting lineup cheaper prior to lock, I will just slum as low as possible. Punt Ideas: James Justin or Johnny Evans – Leicester City – $8, Ezri Konsa – Aston Villa – $8DraftKings/FanDuel GoalieDean Henderson – Nottingham Forest – $4,400/$8 – He’s Dean “F’N” Henderson! This man once carried a promoted Sheffield United team to a top six finish. After a year in the lion’s den, he has once again mercifully found a way to go on loan and escape Manchester United. It must be doing wonders for him as he is off to a magnificant start saving 7/9 shots Matchweek One and 4/5 Matchweek Two including a penalty kick save. If that wasn’t enough he is very cheap. For cash games he is a must, for tournaments he will be chalky so ownership and build “like you have two Everton forwards” are the only considerations. Pivot: Emiliano Martinez – Aston Villa – $4,500/$10EPL Top BetsBet One – Brentford Moneyline (+195) – Bet MGM – 0.25 Units, Bet Two – Brentford Draw No Bet (+105) – Bet MGM – 0.75 Units, Bet Three: Leicester City Moneyline (-115) – Bet MGM – 1 UnitMake sure to hop in our Expert Discord Chat for FREE!
