MLB MLB DFS Stealing Home: Saturday, June 12th Josh Barzal 2 years ago written by Josh Barzal Welcome back to my MLB DFS Stealing Home: Saturday, June 12th. I am back to bring you my favorite plays on the slate, we are breaking into an 11 game slate today so let us dig into it!!!Looking at the pitching on our slate today, I am looking to start the day off with Corbin Burnes who I believe we are getting at a discount at $10,500. Corbin has been rolling with an incredible 39.4% K rate this year going against one of the worst offenses in the MLB with the Pittsburgh Pirates. There are two other pitchers I am looking to play in Marcus Stroman and Wade Miley. Stroman is one of the most consistent pitchers in baseball though he doesn’t have the highest K upside I expect him to deal on Saturday. Miley has a big plus matchup today against the Rockies who are one of the worst offenses in baseball, he also doesn’t have the most upside but I am looking at him for another safe option today and look for him to get through the day with his 57% GB rate. Diving into bats today I am looking to stay on the Brewers train and stack Miluwakee lefties this slate against Chad Kuhl, I am looking to start these stacks with Vogelbach and Peterson, who both hold .190+ ISO’s against righties, obviously, you can throw in Yelich against any righty and have him to sure up your stacks. My second favorite stack of the day is the RedSox who get to go against Steven Matz, Boston RAKES on lefties starting with J.D Martinez and Xander Bogaerts, the two main bats that I am looking to roster from Boston. Looking into their other bats we have Hunter Renfroe who has a 0.289 ISO against lefties this season and Bobby Dalbec who has a very surprising 0.330 ISO against lefties on the year. Look to play RedSox and Brewers today as your main stacks for the day. Stealing Home: SummaryThank you for reading my MLB DFS Stealing Home: Saturday, June 12th article where I hope that the plays I wrote up can deliver for you guys. Roster Burnes and Miley to let our bats carry us the rest of the way. For our other articles over here at WinDaily click here, and to join our discord where I will be click here. Good luck on the slate everyone, let us crush!!! 2 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
MLBPremium Starting Rotation 4.22 Adam Strangis 2 years ago written by Adam Strangis Starting Rotation 4.22 I'd like to wish everyone a pleasant Thursday except for Jakob Junis, who I will thank for absolutely nothing. Now that we have that out of the way, let's talk about today. We only have a two-game slate in the afternoon and a five-game slate in the evening. I'm skipping the two-game entirely, as the four pitchers might combine for 25 DK points. It's totally brutal. The five-game slate has some intriguing options but the path for failure exists for everyone. Starting Rotation 4.22 will be a GPP-only slate for me since I don't play cash when I'm this ambivalent on starting pitching and all 10 pitchers have issues this evening. Starting Rotation 4.22 - Targets Alex Cobb ($7,700 DK/$8,700 FD) Astros Ranks vs Pitch Types - SF - 28th FB - 9th CB - 22nd Just looking at the statistics this season for Cobb, it's a wonder he even throws a sinker. It's getting smacked for a .500 average and a .493 wOBA so far. His splitte... 2 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
MLBPremium Starting Rotation 4.20 Adam Strangis 2 years ago written by Adam Strangis Starting Rotation 4.20 I'm starting today by sending a big thank you to Brian for covering the pitching portion of Monday's slate. I expected to have internet where I spent the weekend and that was an adventure and he (of course) stepped up massively. It seems that DK has heard our annoyance with the 6:30 games not being a part of the main slate because they are involved in the Tuesday slate. The slightly not good news is the slate size is 13 games, which is an awful lot. It also shapes up to be similar to yesterday where at first glance, there is not a slam dunk option that we should be totally in love with. Let's dig into the Starting Rotation 4.20 to find out who we like and who can propel our lineups into the green tonight! Starting Rotation 4.20 Note - I have to be honest, I don't have a read on who's going to be chalk here. I can build a case against a lot of pitchers to not play them in cash tonight, but some options will undoubtedly come in chalky.... 2 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
MLBPremium Starting Rotation 4.17 Adam Strangis 2 years ago written by Adam Strangis Starting Rotation 4.17 Saturday brings us the normal split slate and FD woke up and chose violence on the early slate. It's more or less unplayable at just three games even though they had other games to choose from in the window of start times within the three games. With that said, we're going to just do some notes for the Early slate and then break down the night slate. DK has the Early at six games and the evening is five so they're pretty close. We may as well make the full breakdown worth it for as many folks as possible in Starting Rotation 4.17 and try to find those green screens! Note - This version is going to be slightly compressed due to some travel overnight. I'll be around in Discord to expand on anything needed and set cores and answer questions through the day! Starting Rotation - Early Pitchers Of Interest Sonny Gray - I'm a little skittish on Gray making his season debut, but with the news he won't be faced with a pitch cou... 2 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
MLBPremium Starting Rotation 4.15 Adam Strangis 2 years ago written by Adam Strangis Starting Rotation 4.15 Thursday brings us a split slate and we're going to change things up just a bit. In this article, the focus is going to be on the early slate since it has six games and the evening has five. On top of that, the evening pitching is among the worst we've had this season. It's a fairly hideous mix so let's stick with the full breakdown for early in the Starting Rotation 4.15 and attack the late slate with some picks! Starting Rotation 4.15 - Early Targets Note - FD has inexcusably left off the Mets game that starts at 12:10. Apparently, those 10 minutes between the 12:20 start time left the Mets game in an alternate dimension like when Ozzie Smith was in The Simpsons. The bad news is they also left off the Seattle game which at least in fairness is a seven-inning game. It's only a four-game slate on FD but at least you only need one pitcher. Since the Mets and Jacob deGrom are not on both sites (and are already being threatene... 2 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
MLBPremium Starting Rotation 4.12 Adam Strangis 2 years ago written by Adam Strangis Starting Rotation 4.12 I'm excited to put Sunday in the rearview mirror and get into this slate because we have multiple big-name aces and a handful of others that could rack up the fantasy points. Even writing the night before, I can tell you I'm going to have at least one lineup with double aces on the mound. Let's get into this slate and figure out what directions we need to take in Starting Rotation 4.12! Starting Rotation 4.12 - Cash Picks Gerrit Cole ($10,700 DK/$11,000 FD) Blue Jays Ranks vs Pitch Types - FB - 23rd SL - 7th CB - 9th CH - 27th It's always going to be hard to not want to lock in Cole on any given slate. He's one of the best fantasy and real-life pitchers in baseball. His K rate is already incredible at 43.8% and it's been the slider that has done the damage so far with 11 of his 20 strikeouts. Cole's CSW is sitting at 35.1% which would be a career-high but it's not exceptionally out of line with his past three seasons. With Toronto s... 2 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
MLBPremium Starting Rotation 4.9 Adam Strangis 2 years ago written by Adam Strangis Starting Rotation 4.9 We're back in action for Friday and it's a smaller slate than we're accustomed to but there's money to be made nonetheless. Starting Rotation was about as good as it can get yesterday, nailing six of the top seven DK scores on the slate. If you played someone, your pitchers did well and that is simply what you love to see. I have to say that today's slate looks like a challenge. If you're just looking at the fantasy points per game, there are a ton of options. There's also a lot of volatility to each pick so let's dig into the Starting Rotation 4.9! Starting Rotation 4.9 - Cash Picks Lance McCullers ($9,100 DK/$9,000 FD) A's Ranks vs Pitch Types - SL - 25th FB - 28th CB - 19th CH - 20th The fact McCullers is starting the cash picks should tip you off about how unstable some of these options are. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big McCullers fan but he's not exactly known for his consistency. The first thing that jumps out at me ... 2 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
MLBPremium Starting Rotation 4.7 Adam Strangis 2 years ago written by Adam Strangis Starting Rotation 4.7 The train keeps on rolling today and we get our first big day slate as Wednesday tends to be the getaway day for a lot of teams. Generally, this is a good spot to punt catchers since the starter played the night before. We have two really strong arms at the top of the salary chain today so we may need a punt or two in the Starting Rotation 4.7! Starting Rotation 4.7 – Cash Picks Shane Bieber ($10,600 DK/$11,500 FD) Royals Ranks vs Pitch Type - FB - 1st SL - 17th CB - 17th There are not many pitchers who can give up three runs and still rack up over 26 DK but that's exactly what Bieber did in his first game. It was really just the first two innings where things were a bit rocky so I have exactly zero fears about Bieber himself in this spot. I still expect there to be some sort of regression Fromm a 41.1% K rate last year but you wouldn't know it from the first start. The CSW was at 40% which is 6.2% higher than what he displayed las... 2 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
MLBPremium Starting Rotation 4.6 Adam Strangis 2 years ago written by Adam Strangis Starting Rotation 4.6 Thank goodness we have some real options tonight, it's only the fifth day of the season. We have eight games but there are four legitimate ace-caliber pitchers on the slate and none are over $10,000 on DK. It certainly looks like a double-ace kind of night at my first glance but let's dig into the Starting Rotation 4.6 and see what we find! Note - We're starting to use pitch data from this season. It's still a very small sample but we need to start migrating to this season. Also, all images are from baseballsavant.com. Starting Rotation 4.6 - Cash Picks Lucas Giolito ($9,300 DK/$9,600 FD) Mariners Ranks vs Pitch Type - FB - 23rd CH - 1st SL - 16th I think the righty for the White Sox might well be the best bang for your buck on both sites tonight. He's the SP3 in terms of salary but the upside is no different than anyone else. We're going to start using the 2021 stats and by those numbers, Seattle doesn't look like a great matchup. They'v... 2 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
MLBPremium Starting Rotation 4.5 Adam Strangis 2 years ago written by Adam Strangis Starting Rotation 4.5 The Monday slate ahead of us seems a little weird. It's always a fun time when we get Jacob deGrom on the mound because we can wax poetic on how awesome he is. The issue with tonight's slate is the quality of pitchers goes downhill in a hurry. DK is going to be a challenge to find that SP2 but that's what the Starting Rotation 4.5 is here to do so let's dig in! Starting Rotation 4.5 - The Lock Jacob deGrom ($10,700 DK/$11,000 FD) FB - 44.9% (7th) SL - 35.6% (10th) CH - 16.9% (4th) CB was under 3% Listen, we have a running joke in the Discord that if you don't play a player that the staff thinks is a lock, you get The Slap. That means we send a GIF of someone getting slapped in the face. deGrom is that player tonight. The quality of the starting options is not that great after deGrom. He is a stone lock in cash games and honestly, I'll happily eat this chalk in GPP as well. On paper, no alternative should get all that close as far ... 2 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
