NASCARPremium NASCAR DFS Pit Stop: Cup Series from Darlington 9/6/20 Matt Vecchio 3 years ago written by Matt Vecchio Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Sunday evenings Cup series race from the "track too tough to tame", Darlington Raceway! This is the series' third race here this season so we should be able to get a good gauge on how these teams will run here on Sunday. This race should be a fun one to watch not only for the great racing but for the awesome throwback and special paint schemes. My personal favorite is the one my favorite driver is running, Jimmie Johnson, and his 7x champions tribute mixing both The King and The Intimidator together! NASCAR DFS: DominatorsDenny Hamlin ($11,400)Starting Position: 2ndHamlin is the highest priced driver, and for good reason. In 2 races at Darlington this season Hamlin has finished top 5 in both and including his win in the 2nd Darlington race this season. Hamlin also won at Homestead this year, the comparable track to Darlington. If all that wasn't enough, Hamlin raced, and should have won, the Xfinity race here on Saturday so he has a good handle on... 3 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
NASCARPremium NASCAR DFS Pit Stop: Cup Series from Michigan 8/9/20 Matt Vecchio 3 years ago written by Matt Vecchio Welcome to NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Sunday's Cup Series from Michigan. This article will have some similar plays from the Saturday race, obviously, but with how everything broke down we have some different plays based on place differential. Sunday's lineup was determined how Saturday's race finished. NASCAR set the top 20 starting position by inverting the finish, so Kevin Harvick will start 20th because he won, Keselowski starts 19th and so on. After the inversion the rest of the field is determined by how the field finished from 21st-39th. NASCAR DFS: DominatorsCopy, paste the opening paragraph from Saturday's article here. Both Kevin Harvick ($11,500) and Denny Hamlin ($11,100) are the top plays in this race Sunday. Harvick has incredible PD upside, especially after the way he dominated Saturday's race leading 92 of 156 laps. Hamlin ran up front with Harvick for the majority of the race, but ended up 6th and will start 15th on Sunday. Hamlin also has great place differential upside a... 3 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail

NASCAR NASCAR DFS Pit Stop: Cup Series 7/19/20 rmferenc@gmail.com 3 years ago written by rmferenc@gmail.com Welcome to the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop for Sunday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 from Texas Motor Speedway where the only thing hotter than Kevin Harvick is the temperature inside the cars! We saw temps reach at least 143 degrees in the Xfinity cars on Saturday afternoon, which was run during the same time Sunday’s Cup race will be run. With 500 miles being raced on Sunday at the mile and a half track, we get 334 laps of racing leading to a possible 250.5 dominator points available. Last year Harvick led 119 on his way to the victory, followed by teammate Aric Almirola who led 62 laps and finished 2nd. Almirola is on the pole for this race and at first glance seemed like a fade to me, but he has done well here in his last 3 races and could get himself another top 5 finish. NASCAR DFS: DominatorsKevin Harvick (11,300)Starting Position: 5thStop me if you’ve heard this before, but Kevin Harvick has been great in recent races here at Texas Motorspeedway. Harvick is one of, if not, the hottest drivers in the Cup Series since the return to the track and will look to keep his momentum going on Sunday. Over the last 5 races at Texas, Harvick has 3 wins, and five top 10 finishes. Harvick has not just won races here, he has dominated with 421 laps led during his last 5 races here. Martin Truex Jr. ($10,400)Starting Position: 10thTruex hasn’t had his best season so far, but he does have three top 10’s in his last 4 races (4 in 5 if you count the All Start Race) and looks like he is getting back on track. We have seen him fail tech twice over the last few weeks but while he didn’t fare well in Indianapolis when he was sent to the back, he came home second at Kentucky last week. After the race last week Truex said he thinks his team has figured out and they will be better moving forward. Joey Logano ($9,500)Starting Position: 9thDating all the way back to 2013 Joey Logano has been an absolute beast at Texas Motorspeedway. In 14 races here since 2013, Logano has finished in the top 10 eleven times, and top 5 nine times. Logano has led 418 laps during that same 14 race span and should compete for a top 5, and the win on Sunday. Other Options: Denny Hamlin ($10,800 – P8), Chase Elliott ($10,000 – P8)NASCAR DFS: Mid TierChristopher Bell ($9,100)Starting Position: 33rdDraftKings finally decided to price Bell more accurately this week, meaning he will most likely be higher owned because of this but he could be the highest DKFP driver. Bell hasn’t raced here yet in the Cup Series but was dominant here in the Xfinity series. In 5 races here as an Xfinity Series driver, Bell has a win, three top 5’s, and a four top 10’s. Erik Jones ($8,600)Starting Position: 23rdI am hesitant to play Erik Jones after the way he has hurt us the past couple of weeks, but here I am. Over his last 5 races in Texas, Jones has five top 10’s and three top 5’s. Jones has also led 103 laps in his last 5 here as well, and with his starting position, we don’t even need a top 10 from Jones to make 5 times value. Aric Almirola ($8,100)Starting Position: 1stAlmirola is a GPP only play since he is starting on the pole on Sunday. Almirola has been on a tear recently, and while we don’t necessarily look at the current form in season when gauging interest in drivers, Almirola has success at Texas as well lately. The driver of the #10 Ford Mustang has three straight top 10’s finishes here at Texas. If Almirola can get the jump on Ryan Blaney ($8,900 – P2) on the first lap he could end up adding to his laps led count for 2020 on 1.5-mile tracks where he currently has led 128 laps in 6 racesTyler Reddick ($7,800)Starting Position: 24thThis season Reddick has run very well at 1.5-mile tracks in 2020. In 6 races on these tracks, Reddick has an average finish of 11.7 and has three top 10’s. Reddick can make value (5x – 43 points) if he finishes around 15th place with no dominator points, which is easily doable. Other Options: Jimmie Johnson ($9,000 – P20), Ryan Blaney ($8,900 – P2), William Byron ($8,000 – P18)NASCAR DFS: Value TierBoth Austin ($6,900 – 21) and Ty Dillon ($6,700 – P30) in good spots to pick up a few spots and give us some minimal place differential points at the top of the value tier. Michael McDowell ($6,600 – P34) might be the best of the value tier for this race. McDowell starts 34th and has been averaging a finish of 23.7 on 1.5-mile tracks this season. Value Tier Rankings: Michael McDowell ($6,600 – P34)Austin Dillon ($6,900 – P21)John Hunter Nemechek ($6,000 – P28)Ty Dillon ($6,700 – P30)Corey Lajoie ($6,100 – P36)Chris Buescher ($5,800 – P16)Thanks for reading this article on the NASCAR DFS Pit Stop: Cup Series 7/19/20 from Texas Motorspeedway! NASCAR NASCAR DFS Pit Stop: Cup Series 7/5/20 rmferenc@gmail.com 3 years ago written by rmferenc@gmail.com Welcome to the NASCAR DFS: Pit Stop for Sunday, July 5th’s Cup series race from Indianapolis Motor Speedway! This race is usually called the Brickyard 400, but like with everything nowadays, we have a sponsor this year so the Brickyard is no more and welcome Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400 from IMS. IMS is similar to Pocono as it’s a 2.5-mile track and it is also very hard to make passes here. Track position will once again be key and with only 160 laps and 120 dominator points available will be focusing on the drivers who can run up front all day. Since I use DraftKings pricing (that is the site I play on) I will tell you that if you want to pay $11,500 for Christopher Bell go ahead, but I will not be recommending him in this article as I do not see a path to him making value and paying off that price tag. Here is your DraftKings breakdown!NASCAR DFS: DominatorsKevin Harvick: $11,000Starting Position: 11thKevin Harvick is the defending champion of this race and is one of the favorites to win it again, especially after his performances last weekend at Pocono. Harvick starts 11th, giving him the best place differential of all the dominators in this race and with a win and lead the majority of the laps in this race. If Harvick gets out front he will be hard to pass as he showed last weekend in Pocono. Kyle Busch: 10,400Starting Position: 7thAs if 2020 wasn’t already a weird enough year, Kyle Busch has yet to register a Cup series victory this season but that could change on Sunday. Kyle does have 2 wins at IMS and dominated in one of those races leading 149 laps from the pole. While he has had some bad luck both here at IMS, and last week, in recent races here (he has DNF’s in 2 of the last 3 at IMS), he still has what it takes to win and he is angry and feeling the pressure and that is the kind of Kyle Busch we want in fantasy. Denny Hamlin: $10,100 Starting Position: 6thIs Denny Hamlin underpriced at $10.1K this week? Maybe, but either way, he could definitely pay off that price tag with another performance like last weekend at Pocono. Denny Hamlin is my pick to win this race on Sunday and get his first win at Indy. Hamlin may not have a win here yet, but he does have 5 finishes of 6th or better in his last 6 at IMS. Other Options: Chase Elliott ($10,700), Brad Keselowski ($9,800)NASCAR DFS: Mid TierRyan Blaney: $9,400 Starting Position: 12thAfter Hamlin, Blaney is my next favorite play on this slate. Over his last 7 races, Blaney has led at least 20 laps in 5 of them and also led 19 laps here last year. Blaney had 4 straight top 5’s coming into Pocono and will look to get back into the top 5 this weekend.Clint Bowyer: $9,000 Starting Position: 22ndClint Bowyer is a real value at $9K this weekend because of his immense upside. With Bowyer starting 22nd and having top 10 potential he will almost certainly destroy his value on Sunday. Last weekend in Pocono Bowyer came home 7th and 8th, and if we can get a similar finish this weekend he could be the difference to a takedown and a near miss. Other Options: Joey Logano($9,200 – has potential to lead a ton of laps from the pole) William Byron ($8,700), Matt DiBenedetto ($8,300), Erik Jones ($8,100),.The Mid-tier this week leaves much to be desired, and outside of the drivers mentioned I won’t’ have more than 10% of the drivers in this tier. NASCAR DFS: Value TierAric Almirola ($7,400) Starting Position: 5thI don’t usually recommend using Almirola when he starts this high up in the field, but coming off 4 straight top 5 finishes we have to consider him. Since he is starting 5th I expect Almirola to be low owned making him a great GPP play on Sunday. Ty Dillon ($6,800) Starting Position: 29thI don’t love Dillon’s price, but with him starting 29th, he could present us with the value we need to help take down a tournament. Last week at Pocono, Ty Dillon finished 23rd and 26th, while those aren’t great finishes they give you near 30 points on DK. Ryan Preece ($5,800) Starting Position: 36thPreece might be the most owned driver in this entire race starting in the 36th spot and priced as low as he is. In two races last weekend, Preece had an average finish of 22.5 which we would most definitely take on Sunday. Preece’s low price will make him a sexy pick on Sunday, but I don’t see a reason to fade him. I like pairing him up with Michael McDowell ($5,700) to load up on top tier drivers. Other Options: Ricky Stenhouse ($7,200), Austin Dillon ($6,700), Justin Allgaier ($6,600 – MME ONLY), Chris Buescher ($6,500 – priced TOO low), JH Nemechek ($5,400)Thanks for reading the NASCAR DFS: Pit Stop Cup Series for 7/5/20 from Indianapolis Motor Speedway! NASCAR NASCAR | Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 DFS Picks Jacob Nelson 3 years ago written by Jacob Nelson Join us in the #nascar Discord channel to discuss your QuikTrip 500 DFS picks. The following is intended for FanDuel GPP purposes only. Follow Josh on Twitter at @dfs_noshame.THE SLATENASCAR Cup Series returns today with the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia. This race is 325-laps, or 500.5-miles, on this 1.54-mile track. The optimal lineup to begin race will be Joey Logano, Chase Elliott, Clint Bowyer, Aric Almirola, and Chris Buescher. THE PICKS | FanDuelCHASE ELLIOTT – Elliott starts on the pole today and has been one the strongest performing drivers recently. With a victory and four top-five finishes, Elliott offers salary relief from Harvick and Kyle Busch and appears to be in a better position to dominate this race. Starting on the pole does present risk of negative place differential though, so looking for laps led and top-five finish from Chase if he is going to be rostered.MARTIN TRUEX JR. – Truex had one of the better cars last time out at Atlanta. Starting 11th, Truex provides some place differential upside in comparison to the other top-twelve drivers and is $1,800 less than Harvick.KEVIN HARVICK – Harvick is the highest-priced driver on this slate and the favorite to win. Starting 9th, Harvick has positive place differential potential and the ability to lead laps in this race. Harvick should garner a considerable amount of ownership today.BRAD KESELOWSKI – Keselowski is coming off two recent victories and has six top-ten finishes this season. Starting 6th, Keselowski has the potential to lead laps and finish top-five in this race. JIMMIE JOHNSON – Johnson does not offer the same dominator potential as the other drivers listed above, but starting 15th, and projected to finish 9th, he has the positive place differential upside at a reduced salary. Johnson feels safer than many plays available today, but he’s not a requirement in every line.CHRISTOPHER BELL – Bell is starting 27th today, provides salary relief, and positive place differential upside. Be careful with punting on FanDuel, so outside of Custer and McDowell, avoid rostering any drivers below Bell.Additional options: Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, Alex Bowman, Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, Ryan Blaney, Clint Bowyer, Aric Almirola, Tyler Reddick, Matt DiBenedetto, Cole Custer, Michael McDowell, Erik Jones, Chris Buescher, and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. NON-LEAD LAPPERSNOTE: Be sure to roster drivers that finish on the lead lap.The following drivers have not finished on the lead lap during the 2020 Cup Series: Josh Bilicki, Garrett Smithley, BJ McLeod, Timmy Hill (with exception for the Supermarket Heroes 500), Joey Gase, Quinn Houff, JJ Yeley (with exception for the Fan Shield 500), Reed Sorenson, and Brennan Poole (with exception for the Daytona 500).Timmy Hill finished 19th at the Supermarket Heroes 500, but he does not provide sufficient upside due to the unlikeliness to achieve a top-ten or top-fifteen finish.SLATE ANALYSISLAST TIME OUT AT ATLANTAThe last time out at Atlanta, Brad Keselowski took the checkered flag, followed by Martin Truex Jr., Kurt Busch, Kevin Harvick, Clint Bowyer, Kyle Busch, Erik Jones, Aric Almirola, Chris Buescher, and Daniel Suarez. Harvick and Truex recorded 38 fastest-laps each. Keselowski recorded 28, Kyle Busch recorded 25, Logano recorded 24, Blaney recorded 17, and Almirola recorded 14.The optimal FanDuel lineup for the 2019 Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 included Keselowski, Truex, Kurt Busch, Jones, and Buescher with a total of 382.8 points. The driver’s salary ranged from $6,000 to $13,000 and left $100 salary remaining. The optimal DraftKings lineup for the 2019 Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 included Keselowski, Truex, Larson, Jones, Buescher, and David Ragan in the number 38 car. NASCAR NASCAR DRAFTKINGS DFS: The Supermarket Heroes 500 Zak puckpicks 3 years ago written by Zak puckpicks NASCAR moves to the Bristol Motor Speedway tomorrow for The Supermarket Heroes 500. This half mile track has given me fits in DFS, but I have had a good run at picking the winners. This week will be very tricky on DrafKings as the pricing and starting lineup is very difficult and true to normal form. Brad Keselowski will be on the pole with Almirola at his side. The top 10 is full of drivers who can take this down and is led by Kyle Busch in the 7th spot who has won at Bristol 8 times. The Supermarket Heroes 500 Starting LineupJoe Gibbs has dominated taking 4 of the last 5 races, and 5 of the last 9 with Toyota. Chevrolet has 3 wins in the last 10 with Jimmie Johnson winning 2 of them.
