NFLPremium Stix Picks: Week 1 NFL DFS GPP brgrewe@gmail.com 2 years ago written by brgrewe@gmail.com To quote the great Michael Rasile, “It’s a great day to be alive!” The NFL season is here and it feels like Christmas morning. For those who haven’t read it yet, please check out the Week 1 Cash Game Checkdown for your bankroll sustaining, cash game build advice before building your NFL DFS GPP lineups. In addition, I would strongly advise giving my NFL DFS Strategy article I published this offseason before diving into the 2021 NFL DFS season. If you have any questions or would like some further help when building your lineups, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly on Twitter. For those looking to get different and make a splash in some GPPs, the time is now. We’ll usually be taking some heavy stances on lower-ownership players, but at times, there is certainly good “chalk” to eat. This will not be an article where I write about Christian McCaffrey, Dalvin Cook, etc... they're likely always in a smash spot and worth rostering if that's what your build calls for. Now, let’s g... 2 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
League of LegendsPremium 1/23/21 ESPORTS DFS: JT’S League of Legends LPL/LCK Combo Plays. Jim Thomson 3 years ago written by Jim Thomson We are locked and loaded, ready for tonight’s LOL DFS slate. The key to winning a GPP or Cash game is to make sure you pick the top two stacks of two winning teams. Tonight, I will give you two plays that I am loading up on for this LOL DFS slate.TOP PLAY:The first stack that I’m going to lock in will be Damwon Gaming (DWG). DWG is dropping in as a -1400 favorite. They are coming off of a devastating loss to Brion Blade (BRO). BRO surprised the world when they swept DWG, and I think DWG will be out for blood. After the atrocious performance against BRO, they should be back on track against a kill-feeding AF team. AF is nothing special and will get obliterated in every lane. Look for DWG to force-feed Canyon en route to a monstrous, point proving victory. I would not want to be AF in this spot, and I will have multiple three and four-man stacks of DWG in my LOL DFS lineups.MY ESPORTS DFS TOP PLAY: DAMWON GAMING (DWG) (-1400)SECONDARY PLAY:The next stack I’m going to take a risk on is a ... 3 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
League of LegendsPremium 1/21/21 ESPORTS DFS: JT’S League of Legends LPL/LCK Combo Plays. Jim Thomson 3 years ago written by Jim Thomson More LOL means more LOL DFS. We continue the dominance with another four-game LOL DFS slate, with the LPL/LCK coming up with some big games on the day. Tonight I’m going to give you two of my plays for tonight’s LOL slate.TOP PLAY:We are going to start with what, in my eyes, is a coin flip matchup, and that is Gen G vs. T1. Gen. G is the side I’m going to be riding on. They are coming in as an even-money underdog (+100). This is going to be a very bloody yet strategic battle. It should go all three games of the series. Both of these teams have the potential to edge out a victory and accumulate kills for their team. I am going to side with Gen simply due to the fact that they have been playing hyper-aggressive and have been pulling out significant victories. I believe they pull out another one in this spot.MY ESPORTS DFS TOP PLAY: GEN. G. ESPORTS (GEN) (+100)SECONDARY PLAY:The next team I am going to focus on is going to be TEAM WE. WE has done nothing but come out with victories recent... 3 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
League of LegendsPremium 1/20/21 ESPORTS DFS: JT’S League of Legends LPL/LCK Combo Plays. Jim Thomson 3 years ago written by Jim Thomson After a couple of days of only LPL LOL DFS, we have the LCK LPL combo slates back in action. We have four outstanding games that will leave everyone on the edges of their seats. I’m going to give you two of my top plays for tonight’s LOL DFS four-game slate.TOP PLAY:The first team I am going to focus on is going to be Invictus Gaming (IG). They are a -700 favorite against a kill feeding EStar team (ES). IG has been at the top of the leaderboards for years now. They have the ability to win a defensive series or win a kill-happy series. They can compete with any team in the LPL. I believe that they blast into the MID lane and force their way through. ES does not have the skill or talent to keep up with IG, in my opinion.MY ESPORTS DFS TOP PLAY: INVICTUS GAMING (IG) (-700)SECONDARY PLAY:The second stack I’ll be running is NS Redforce (NS). They are a -160 favorite and have shown a considerable increase in talent and performance so far this split. They have completely rebuilt and have adde... 3 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
League of LegendsPremium 1/17/21 ESPORTS DFS: JT’S League of Legends LCS Plays David Stowe 3 years ago written by David Stowe The PreSeason of LCS and the continued LOL DFS opportunities are still available. We have an intriguing four-game LOL DFS slate ahead of us, and we are ready to slay the LOL dragon! I am going to give you my top two targets for tonight’s LCS PreSeason extravaganza.TOP PLAY:The first stack I’m offering is a team that will be very popular, and I don’t want to get caught without them in my LOL DFS lineups. The team I speak of is none other than Evil Geniuses (EG). EG is a wild -335 favorite against Team Dignitas (DIG). I believe this line should be closer to -500, but I’ll gladly accept -335. EG just obliterated Immortals 17-3 and destroyed Cloud9 (C9), the best team in the LCS 21-10. At least they were the best team, but I believe we now have a new contender. In both games, Deftly (ADC) from EG topped the leaderboard in kills, and I am going to be making him a priority in my LOL DFS lineups. The Evil Geniuses should destroy DIG in every lane and force their destructive paths right through... 3 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
League of LegendsPremium 1/17/21 ESPORTS DFS: JT’S League of Legends LPL/LCK Combo Plays. Jim Thomson 3 years ago written by Jim Thomson We are on a roll with LOL DFS. The past few days, we have had takedowns left and right. Tonight we are going target some LOL DFS from tonight’s LPL/LCK combo slate. I am going to give you my two stacks that I am going to prioritize and build around in hopes of taking down another LOL DFS GPP.TOP PLAY:The first stack that I am going to prioritize around is LNG Esports (LNG). LNG is coming off an amazing victory and sweep of one of the LPL powerhouses (IG). They produced a total of 36 kills and held IG to 16 total kills. Now they face off against a team on the other end of the spectrum compared to IG. LNG is going to war with TT, the former atrocious Dominus Esports team. They did not make many adjustments in the offseason. Just because they changed their name does not automatically make them a better team. LNG should light up TT like a Christmas tree and sweep them with no problem at all.MY ESPORTS DFS TOP PLAY:LNG ESPORTS (LNG) (-550)SECONDARY PLAY:The second stack I’m going to target ... 3 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
League of LegendsPremium 1/16/21 ESPORTS DFS: JT’S League of Legends LCS Plays Jim Thomson 3 years ago written by Jim Thomson With the LCS back in full preseason mode with LOL DFS, we are here to offer you some money-making plays. The LCS kickstarted with some huge upsets. Even though this is just the preseason, it does not mean that there is no money to win, and I will help you win some of it. I will drop two of my top plays in this article that can lead you down the path of a GPP or Cash game victory on this LCS three-game slate.TOP PLAY:The first stack I am going to run will be with a +315 underdog. This underdog is on the board with their first victory over CLG today. Golden Guardians (GG) are coming in as a monster underdog, and I do not understand why. They are battling it out against TSM, a team that was just upset today by 100 Thieves. If TSM plays like they did in their first match, they will be in for another long game. GG has the firepower to completely take over a game, and I think it will happen in their matchup against TSM. This is a risky play, but who can complain when it leads you to a big GP... 3 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
NFL NFL DFS: Stix Picks for Divisional Weekend StixPicks 3 years ago written by StixPicks To quote the great Michael Rasile, “It’s a great day to be alive.” I hope everyone enjoyed a big first weekend of NFL Playoff DFS and ready to get back into action for the NFL DFS Divisional Round slate. This week, we’ll just do one full article covering both cash and GPP. With only 4 games, we don’t have to get too crazy. In addition, I would strongly advise reading my NFL DFS Strategy article I published this offseason, before diving into the 2020 NFL DFS season. Let’s get into it.Please note, our NFL DFS cheatsheet is updated throughout the weekend.NFL DFS QuarterbacksPatrick Mahomes – No surprise here. This is a must-win game for Kansas City and they’re not going to mess around. Assuming this game stays relatively close, Mahomes and the Chiefs’ offense will rely heavily on their passing game to move the football against Cleveland’s 25th ranked pass defense (DVOA). Mahomes has one of the highest AETY Model projections for a Quarterback all season. He’s easily my top option for cash and GPP builds. Baker Mayfield – The total in this game is 57 points… the next highest total on the full-weekend slate is five points lower at 52. I want all of the exposure I can to this Chiefs/Browns game and I love what Mayfield opens up from a roster build perspective. Granted, he has nowhere near the upside of a Mahomes, Allen, or Jackson, but he’s also $2K cheaper than all of them on DraftKings and over $1K cheaper on FanDuel. I’ll likely only use Baker Mayfield in GPP formats.Honorable Mention: Lamar Jackson, Tom BradyRunning BacksNick Chubb – Exposure to the Kansas City / Cleveland game is going to be the theme of this article. Stefanski and this league-leading running scheme are going to run Chubb into the ground on Sunday and I’ll want all of the exposure I can afford.Kansas City ranks 31st in run defense DVOA and again, Cleveland is one of the most efficient running teams in the NFL. Kareem Hunt at a discount is also in a great spot, but I’m all aboard the Chubb train.Cam Akers – Just like last week, lock in Cam Akers. He’s likely the only running back on this slate that will sniff 22+ touches and he’s priced under $6K on DraftKings and right at $7K on FanDuel. Green Bay’s defense has been quite stingy of late but they can certainly be carved up via the run… especially with a Sean McVay outside-zone.Devin Singletary – Absolutely gross and makes me want to not play NFL DFS this weekend, but Singletary is simply way too cheap for a starting running back with zero talent behind him on the depth chart pushing for playing time. Singletary is a lock for me in cash games, but I think a GPP fade is warranted.Having said that, I have no problem if you just take the value with Singletary in every build, just don’t expect a lot. I’d much rather pivot to Hunt in GPP. Honorable Mention: JK Dobbins, Aaron Jones, Alvin KamaraWide ReceiversTyreek Hill – Tyreek is back and 100% healthy for a matchup against a below average Cleveland secondary. Mahomes and company will scheme Tyreek open and he leads all wide receivers with the shortest odds to score (-200)… and no, I didn’t forget about Davante Adams. Get exposure to Kansas City and Cleveland.Stefon Diggs – Too much volume on a weekly basis to ignore. With the minimal threat of Buffalo beating Baltimore via the run, I do anticipate Baltimore to bracket Diggs and keep him to an average game at best, he just has too much volume in their offense. Michael Thomas – His price is criminally low. Load him up as we likely cannot afford Alvin Kamara. Thomas is going to be a priority for me for my Saints’ exposure piece.Jarvis Landry / Marquise Brown – They’re WR1s priced in the mid-$5K range on DraftKings. Take the layup when offered. I prefer Landry by a nose to game-stack the highest total game on the slate, but not many have the ceiling Hollywood Brown offers.Value: With Sammy Watkins OUT, Mecole Hardman is my interesting punt play of the weekend. DeMarcus Robinson also in-play, but I prefer Hardman’s route-running, speed, and the cheaper price-tag.Honorable Mention: Davante Adams, Antonio Brown, Chris GodwinTight EndsTravis KelceMark Andrews – Excellent matchup against Buffalo who consistently struggle to cover the tight-end, even with Matt Milano back for Buffalo. Hell, Jack Doyle just went nuts on them, lol.Austin Hooper – Is this a double tight-end week of Kelce/Hooper game-stacks? It very well has my attention at the moment. Hooper is very affordable on both sites and lead the Browns in targets last week in addition to what already was a rising target share over the past month since returning from injury.Hooper is in an excellent spot against Kansas City in a gamescript where Cleveland will likely be chasing points. I love this Cleveland running game, but also want exposure to their red-zone threats (Hooper and Landry).Good luck to all this weekend!Make sure you follow me on Twitter at @stixpicks and be sure to sign up for an ALL ACCESS GOLD ACCOUNT account here at Win Daily Sports. League of LegendsPremium 1/16/21 ESPORTS DFS: JT’S League of Legends LPL/LCK Combo Plays. Jim Thomson 3 years ago written by Jim Thomson When LOL DFS returns, it returns BIG TIME! Not only are we blessed with the LCS returning, we still have our everyday LPL/LCK schedule to tend to and to win some big money off of. Today is an exciting day for LOL DFS, and we are going to demolish this slate today! In this article, I will drop my top two LOL DFS stacks for tonight’s four-game LPL/LCK slate.TOP PLAY:My first stack, I am going to switch it up. Typically I will lead out with a big LPL team, but NOT TODAY! Today I’m going to start off by targeting one of the LCK teams. The highly anticipated first stack is going to be one that will shock a lot of people, and it’s going to be Hanwha Life Esports (HLE). HLE is a decent-sized favorite (-245) against DRX and mostly because HLE reached out and stole a few big players from DRX in the offseason. The two players that are now starting for HLE were the heart and soul of DRX, and those players are Chovy (MID) and Deft (ADC). With Chovy and Deft on HLE, they know the ins and outs of th... 3 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
League of LegendsPremium 1/15/21 ESPORTS DFS: JT’S League of Legends LCS Plays Jim Thomson 3 years ago written by Jim Thomson What happens when there is a bunch of LOL DFS? WE COVER IT! Even if it's PreSeason. Today is day one of the LCS coming back to town, with the LCS being a best of one series. Excited is not the word that can do this justice. I will give you my top two plays for today’s day one of some LCS LOL DFS. We have a few significant changes in starting lineups, and I believe those changes will make or break some teams.TOP PLAY:The first stack I am going to target is Cloud9 (C9). They are a -325 favorite against Evil Geniuses (EG). I think a lot of people might actually fade C9 because of EG. They are an extremely underrated team with upset potential. Honestly, though, I don’t think they take out C9, and I’m excited as hell to see Perkz (MID) on C9. It will fit his strategic game planning to a Tee and could push Zven (ADC) into more battles that he can win. They say one player doesn’t make the team, but he can definitely increase play speed and overall fundamentals of C9. EG has a great team and a... 3 years ago 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail
