1 Early Slate Pitching;Zach Wheeler vs. San Francisco GiantsDraftKings – $10,500, FanDuel – $10,200Wheeler has been a mystery and-a-half this season. In one start Wheeler isdominant and then in the next outing he blows up. So far this season Wheelerhas been major reverse splits and I don’t mind that against the Giants. Withthe better bats of Panik and Belt being left-handed, that helps neutralize someof the danger. Against left-handed hitters this season Wheeler has a .217 BAAand a 11.74 K/9. We know the upside Wheeler has, and he has shown it thisseason with massive fantasy games. The Giants have strikeouts up and down thislineup and I expect nothing less than an eight spot from Wheeler. He’s my studacross all platforms.Brandon Woodruff vs. Miami MarlinsDraftKings – $8,900, FanDuel – N/AThe Marlins are somehow hitting out of their minds these last two days. Theydropped 16 runs on Tuesday and eight on Wednesday. That was insane for the highschool squad they have. They get the high upside wild card in Woodruff in thisone and I think they will return to form. Woodruff is way better against righthanded bats, to a tune of a .213 BAA and a 10.21 K/9. The Marlins lean right-handedheavy and will have much trouble getting across the plate.Punt Option; Miles Mikolas vs Cincinnati Reds DraftKings – $6,700, FanDuel – $7,800There isn’t much to say here either than the pay down options are dreadfuland Mikolas is the best choice. He is much better against right-handed bats. Theonly “dangerous lefty” I’m scared of is Joey Votto, and he hasn’t been tooscary this season.Main Slate;Patrick Corbin @ San Diego PadresDraftKings – $10,300, FanDuel – $10,900I don’t know what happened with Corbin in his last start, but I’m gonna givehim a pass. Corbin has been kind of up-and-down this season, but against thisPadres team that can strike out with the best of them I’ll take the chance. Iknow Corbin has been horrible on the road, but he gets an amazing park. Hisstrikeout numbers have been better on the road (10.47 K/9) and I don’t see anyreason why he can’t touch that number in this matchup.Joey Lucchesi vs. Washington NationalsDraftKings – $9,000, FanDuel – $8,200With the lack of quality options available, I’m gonna take a shot withLucchesi. I really like what he’s been doing in his last couple starts. He hasgone at least six innings with five or more strikeouts in each of his lastthree starts and has only given up 10 total hits. The Nationals can strike outa ton and go ghost in weird spots, and in this pitcher’s ballpark I don’t seeany reason why that can’t happen here.
