Outlaw Tour DFS Picks: TPC Champions Classic

The Outlaw Tour gives us the TPC Champions Classic this week.  We have a watered down field relative to last week and I’m likely to have some balanced lineups which bypass the top tier range (approximately 70% of my lineups will be balanced).  I will be on Discord with the rest of the Win Daily team tonight with updates and/or additions to the picks below. Let’s get after it.

Top Tier for the TPC Champions Classic (10k and above)

KK Limbhasut (10400)– He played this course back in September and finished 6^th.  Granted, that may not be what you want for aguy at this cost, but he’s also been pretty hot lately and has a recentoutright win.  Hits birdies at a good enoughrate to justify the selection in this tier.

Jeremy Paul (10200) – his strokes gained stats and experience on these mini tours are very compelling.  Might be a breakthrough moment for JP with relatively little talent at the top.

Nick Mason(10000) – Another guy that can rack up birdies, but I like Mason here because Isee him being the least popular in this range. With that in mind, if you’re reaching up into this tier, Mason is abetter GPP play and maybe a stay away in cash. 

Middle Tier for the TPC Champions Classic (8k – 10k)

Peter Flavin (9800) – Played on the Latino American tour last year and had a win plus a couple of Top 3 finishes.  He’s also coming in with good form. 

Peter Kuest (9200) – Consider me a part of the ‘Tribe Called Kuest’ as I’ll have this guy as an outright.  This kid is young and had his first pro start last week and performed admirably.  If he had nerves last week he certainly didn’t show it and I trust this week he may be even more comfortable.  Kuest can hammer the ball off the tee so I’m hoping for some eagle chances here.

Riley Wheeldon(8800) – will be a popular player but easy to create leverage in otherplaces.  Wheeldon is consistent with someupside.  With this field he can make somenoise. 

Bottom Tier for the TPC Champions Classic (7900 and below)

Chris Korte (7900) – He continues to gain at least a stroke per round in mini tour events and his outright odds outperform his DFS price, a sign that maybe he’s a bit mispriced.

Stuart MacDonald(7900) – Has a great birdie percentage and has been putting up some low roundsas of late. 

Noah Hofman(7800) – Hofman recently let a lot of people down but the talent is there andwith a poor performance last time out, a lot of people will be off of him.  His stoke gained data remains impressive.

Chad Hambright(7600) – sneaky play here as this isn’t a very popular name.  Hambright’s only got 8 rounds in 2020 buthe’s gaining almost 4 strokes in that small sample size.  Overall in his mini tour events he stillgains almost three strokes. 

Juan Diego Fernandez(7500) – Fernandez lives in the area and has the strokes gained stats andbirdie potential to justify the selection in this range. 

Sam Triplett(7500) – Triplett has been pretty good as of late and has value at this pricepoint.  He also played this course lastSeptember and finished 3^rd overall. His outright odds at under 50 to 1 illustrate a slight misprice whichturns into value for us.

Nick Arman (7400) – I’m a little bullish on Arman as he can have some below average rounds but he can also go very low as he’s proven the last few weeks.  I’m willing to take a shot here, but minimal ownership for me.

Neil Johsnon (7200) – He let a lot of people down last week, but I like him as a bounce back candidate if you need to go this low.
