9/14 EPL – 10:00 AM ET Main Slate

Match by Match Breakdown by Austin Harmon

9/14 EPL Match One: Burnley at Brighton

Both teams have gotten off to a so-so start, and I expect this game to follow suit. Brighton has some cheaper options at forward to look at in March and Maupay, but they are not a high-powered team, so I typically won’t focus my efforts there on attack. They are definitely an option if looking to save salary. Ashley Barnes has been off to a great start and it wouldn’t surprise me if we saw him on the scoresheet yet again against Brighton. James Tarkowski is still too cheap on FanDuel, but I’d like to focus my efforts on Crystal Palace defenders in this slate.

9/14 EPL Match Two: Crystal Palace at Tottenham

This will likely be the chalk of the slate, as Tottenham are heavy favorites against a “currently” top four side in Crystal Palace. If you’re a casual fan, you would wonder why you’re stacking against a Top Four team. Well, frankly, they just aren’t that good, but the results have been there to start the year for them. I am looking to LOCK in Eriksen, and Lloris is most likely to receive a clean sheet in this matchup. On FanDuel, I am looking to play Cahill and Sakho, but we can’t ignore Luka Milivojevic because if Palace get set pieces, he is their guy. He can rack up points quickly. Take your pick between if you want Harry Kane or Aguero. Either should bag you a goal.

9/14 EPL Match Three: Leicester City at Manchester United

Plain and simple, United has not been good defending this year. Take that into account with Leicester scoring a bunch, and I want James Maddison or Jamie Vardy into my lineup very quickly. This match is at Old Trafford, but United aren’t as heavy favorites as they typically are in matches like this. Their attacking options are weakening, but on United I like Pogba and Rashford, but I’ll likely only have one player from this game in its entirety.

9/14 EPL Match Four: Southampton at Sheffield United

Players from this game will be very low owned, and very rightfully so. Sheffield defends typically well, and doesn’t score very much. While it’s been years since these two teams have met, their last three games there was a total of four goals. I see this being a one to nothing game, and with that being said, I’m either fading it completely, or pulling the cheapest defenders out of the game, depending on who starts.

9/14 EPL Match Five: Chelsea at Wolves

This match is going to be a tougher one for Wolves without their main defender Wilfried Boly. However, it does provide us some value as I believe  Jesus Vallejo will start this game, and he’s at minimum price on FanDuel, and only $2,700 on DraftKings. IF he starts, I’m playing him. He’ll have loads to do against this Chelsea team. With Chelsea, there is not a whole lot of options I prefer, other than Marcos Alonso on DraftKings, and Tammy Abraham on both sites. He’s shown that he has a knack for goals this season, and looks to do the same against Wolves.

9/14 EPL Match Six: Manchester City at Norwich

This game is not on the DraftKings slate, so I’ll speak for FanDuel only here. Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling, KDB, in that order. This game will be high scoring, and Manchester City has holes in the back, hence why I will not play their goalie or defenders in this game. Instead, I’m going all for the attack, as I like them more than Tottenham. I typically hate having more than one player in the late game, but this game will be an exception as I figure they will put up three to four goals.

As always, make sure you check the starting lineups. Feel free to give me a follow on Twitter @austinhar17 !

9/14 EPL DraftKings Rankings by Rich Masana

9/14 EPL DraftKings Forwards

Harry Kane– Tottenham- $10,500 – I am not in love with this pick by any means as Tottenham never seems to really go off and his price is high. In fact, given how cost prohibitive Harry Kane is, he will likely need to score two goals for it to pay off. However, they should be the clear chalk of the DraftKings slate and it’s Kane most likely to do the damage.

Jamie Vardy – Leicester City – $7,400 – This is a terrific price on Jamie Vardy. It is a road matchup vs. an improved Manchester United team but I like Leicester City’s lineup and would be willing to take them at a discount.

Dwight McNeil – Burnley – $6,600 – I don’t know if you want to go here for tournaments but assuming he is healthy enough Saturday, Dwight McNeil is a terrific cash play. McNeil has sent in near double digit crosses in his last three games demonstrating an extremely high floor. For a little bit more his teammate Ashley Barnes is in play and where I would go for tournaments due to his higher goal scoring upside.

Neal Maupay – Brighton – $5,700 – With the injury to Leandro Trossard, Neal Maupay should draw the start. The matchup with Burnley is a toss up and there is some scoring upside here. Maupay makes for a decent punt.

9/14 EPL DraftKings Midfielders

Christian Eriksen – Tottenham – $9,600 – Christian Eriksen will carry a ton of ownership on a slate where Tottenham is the biggest favorite. In a cash game I prefer him to Harry Kane due to his higher floor from set pieces.

James Maddison – Leicester City – $8,600 – Even in a difficult matchup I trust James Maddison’s floor.  I do not think he is a very good play on FanDuel but DraftKings rewards his skills set.

Solly March – Brighton- $5,500 – Cheap value from the Brighton wing.

9/14 EPL DraftKings Defenders

Emerson – Chelsea – $5,600 – Be sure to check that Emerson is in. If he is healthy enough to go, he has the highest floor of any defenseman on the slate. There is no Lucas Digne or Trent Alexander-Arnold to be had.

Shane Duffy – Brighton – $2,800 – Without a lot of the high-end defensive players that we are accustomed to on this slate, I don’t mind punting. Jesus Vallejo of Wolverhampton is another punt option for $2,700.

9/14 EPL DraftKings Goalies

Hugo Lloris – Tottenham – $5,800 – If you can afford him it makes sense with Tottenham the slate’s biggest favorite and a lot of uncertainty elsewhere. Crystal Palace has been winning games but does not have a prolific offense by any means.

9/14 EPL FanDuel Rankings by Rich Masana

9/14 EPL FanDuel Forwards/Midfielders

Sergio Aguero– Manchester City – $24 – Sergio Aguero has been rolling and it shouldn’t stop versus Norwich City. Even if Gabriel Jesus is back and cuts into his minutes he won’t need more than 70 this match.

Raheem Sterling – Manchester City- $24 – Raheem Sterling has been quiet recently after an insane start to the season. As a result, I think that he will go lower owned than Aguero and is the tournament play.

Riyad Mahrez – Manchester City – $16 – Be prepared to swap to Bernardo Silva at a moments notice. However, Riyad Mahrez, if in the lineup, has been a force in his own right.

Raul Jimenez – Wolverhampton – $16 – At home facing Chelsea, Jimenez is my favorite non Manchester City player for $16 or less.

Wilfred Ndidi – Leicester City – $13 – A high floor player who will not score often but makes for a terrific cash game piece.

James Ward Prowse – Southampton- $13 – I wouldn’t consider him for cash but sooner or later I would expect a breakout game from Southampton’s best offensive player.

Oliver Norwood – Sheffield United – $13 – Cheap floor points from his role on set pieces.

9/14 EPL FanDuel Defensemen

James Tomkins – Crystal Palace – $8 – Tomkins might not feature but if by any chance he does, he is easily my favorite point per dollar defenseman. He will have a match with a lot of opportunity for clearances facing Tottenham.

Jesus Vallejo – Wolverhampton – $8 – The name of the game is saving money. Wily Boly’s injury opens up some value here.

Gary Cahill – Crystal Palace – $10– Conversely, Cahill allows us access to the same matchup and has shown a strong floor.

9/14 EPL FanDuel Goalies

Dean Henderson – Sheffield United – $10 – The Southampton attack looks weak and Dean Henderson is a cheap home favorite.

Matt Ryan – Brighton – $11 – Home budget goalie in a low scoring match much like Dean Henderson. I think in both games you can look at the opposing goalie as well. Most of my lineups will contain one of the four.
