Main Slate

Liverpool (+100) at Leicester City (+255) – Under 3 Goals (-125) – LATE LATE GAME – FANDUEL ONLY

Liverpool is traveling back from Qatar where they just won the “Club World Cup” so there is a chance that some players might get rested. This game is way later than the other games and can only be found on FanDuel. I think that I would only target this game if looking for contrarian large field tournament plays. For Liverpool, it would be Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane, and if they were sitting perhaps some value will open up after the fact. It makes sense to pass on Leicester City here as this is definitely not an upside spot for them facing Liverpool. After losing 3-1 to Manchester City over the weekend, it looks like Leicester City’s faint title hopes are over. Liverpool is about to quietly drop the hammer on whatever remains of the Foxes title campaign.

Newcastle (+821) at Manchester United (-294) – Under 3 Goals (-140) – LATE GAME – FANDUEL ONLY

Manchester United had a really bad loss Sunday morning, falling 2-0 to Watford. They will look to bounce back at home against a poor Newcastle team and come in a decent favorite. On the United side, I think the two targets are once again Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial. You can play them together or use either as a one-off. On the Newcastle side, Fabian Schar is still $9 so he is a core play every week until that changes, and for $8 you can roll double Newcastle with Florian Lejeune. In fact, this is an upside spot for them as United will be attacking a lot, thus providing upside in terms of clearances.

Southampton (+785) at Chelsea (-300) – Over 3 Goals (-130)

Chelsea comes in the biggest favorite in terms of the games on DraftKings/main lock. The top Draftkings play from Chelsea is Willian in a forward slot. I don’t think you need him in an optimal build but ideally if mme’ing you want exposure. Beyond that on Draftkings, I would look to the wingbacks. On FanDuel, I would roll with Tammy Abraham with Willian and the now slumping Christian Pulisic the other options. As far as Southampton you can use James Ward-Prowse or one of the wingbacks Ryan Bertrand or Cedric Soares but that is more about salary relief. This is a tougher matchup than Southampton has had in weeks past. On FanDuel, I am off Ward-Prowse and Danny Ings, etc. There are just better plays.

Arsenal (-105) at Bournemouth (+250) – Over 3 Goals (+115)

Bournemouth has a crazy amount of injuries so it will be hard for them to compete. As far as DraftKings midfield plays, I think both Jack Grealish and Emiliano Buendia make for better plays than Ryan Fraser. As for the Arsenal side, you can first look at Nicolas Pepe as a DraftKings forward and on FanDuel, I’d expect Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Andre Lacazette to garner the ownership. I don’t mind Lacazette on DraftKings either. Other than that, there is not a lot here outside of those three. They are all solid options though.

Norwich (+225) at Aston Villa (+105) – Over 3 Goals (-120) ********

I absolutely love this game. On the Aston Villa side, it is hard to pass on Jack Grealish. He has been mega chalk on both sites recently and this is an awesome spot for him. John McGinn is injured and it is hard to trust many of the other Villans, so lock in Grealish. On the other side, Emiliano Buendia has been tearing up DraftKings over his last three games and is my second favorite midfielder on that site behind Grealish. Teemu Pukki would be the next Norwich man. If Danny Ings could score two against Aston Villa last week, Pukki can definitely get on the board here. You can turn to Todd Cantwell for some DraftKings salary relief again if you want. I haven’t build any lines yet but will definitely consider some sort of game stack for tournaments with Grealish and Buendia core DK plays for me.

Burnley (+400) at Everton (-145) – Under 2.5 Goals (-110)

I am not too interested in any position players from this game on FanDuel aside from maybe Lucas Digne, so this is more of a DraftKings game. Digne is the top defenseman on the slate without any other elite options available. You can also look at a relatively cheap Richarlison or Gylfi Sigurdsson to help fill the DK forward slot. I’d probably lean to Richarlison here as a favorite as opposed to Dwight McNeil on the other side. Ashley Westwood is cheap. If you want to try firing up a sub 5% Ashley Barnes or Chris Wood in a large field GPP goes for it, but not for me.

Watford (+345) at Sheffield United (-120) – Under 2.5 Goals (-130)

Watford is coming off a season-high, with a big 2-0 win over Manchester United. However, traveling to face a defensively solid Sheffield United team, I doubt it turns into a two-game win streak. On the Sheffield side, John Fleck is overpriced but would make for a gpp play. I like the wing defenders on DraftKings, particularly Enda Stevens at his price. I think my favorite play from this game is Dean Henderson in the net. Watford on the road, against a tough defense? It sounds like a clean sheet city to me.

West Ham (+215) at Crystal Palace (+125) – Under 2.5 Goals (-110)

Yuck. I guess you could play a Robert Snodgrass or Luka Milivojevic on DraftKings but the recent game logs have been lacking. I would use this as a spot for cheap FanDuel defenseman or goalie alternatives to Dean Henderson mentioned just above.
